The location is good, and the rooms are large and spacious. Relatively clean—nothing exceptional, but acceptable. However, both the showers and sinks were completely clogged. When you take a shower, the water doesn’t drain properly and the floor quickly fills up. It takes a really long time for it to go down, and no one was able to help us with this. The same issue was with the sink—when brushing your teeth, you’d have to wait nearly two hours for the water to drain. The breakfast was extremely minimal and not tasty at all. Service was quite average—nothing special. It worked well for us since we were a large group, but I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for something a bit more modern or fresh. There’s no lounge area to sit and relax—it’s really just a place to sleep and leave. Also, the breakfast is overpriced. For the same price, you can easily find cheap and delicious options just outside the hotel. So don’t bother with the hotel breakfast—that’s probably the most important advice.

This is one of Kaunas' oldest hotels. In places it shows. There is no lift to the rooms and the room doors are past their best (opened with an old fashioned proper key). However, the place oozes history and charm. If you want an authentic 1920s hotel experience, this is it.

Easy to get to and from the airport (1 euro bus each way), and close to most of the sights, and it has a small handsome lobby that's surprisingly nice for the price. Those are the pros - the cons are that it almost never had visible staff there at any time, i had to ring the bell several times - even at check out time - to speak to anyone. When i was checked in staff declined to mention they'd lock the door at 10pm each night, then later was visibly annoyed when i tried to come in at 10.10pm and kept trying the door. The bed i had was the noisiest creakiest bed I've ever slept in to the point that i think i woke myself up rolling over one night, also like many European hotels they have inexplicably small duvets for the bed size meaning with temps below freezing outside you have to choose which bit of you will be left sticking out of the duvet. The cleaners have radio's that they use on top volume, so from 8am you hear nothing but cleaners talking to eachother over loud radios, then meeting up in person to blab face to face as well, right outside the rooms. Also Hotels.com had said they had taken part payment but the hotel insisted they hadn't - i tried to explain to reception that this had happened to me before and it turned out in that instance i was right but they just wanted oayment so charged me the hole amount and i would just have to look into it myself later. One of those experiences where you feel like an inconvenience, not a paying guest. Could be a lot better

Old building with a lot of history, beautiful lobby and agreeable staff. Corridor and room are very dated but very clean, no smells, comfortable bedding but the breakfast is lamentable.

Outdated(very )but cheap hotel . No elevator , so be ready to drug you luggage up. But all this covered by amazing location . You staying right in the middle of famous Laisves aleja.

言うまでもなく伝統的なホテルです。年季入っていますが特に不満なく快適に過ごせました。旧市街までは2km程ありますが平坦な為歩けます。街中ホテルあるあるですが駐車場が若干分かりにくいですがGoogleMap通りに行けば大丈夫なので安心して向かって下さい。駐車場はナンバー読み取りの為、チェックインの際に車番を伝えると登録してくれます（€6/日）。また5分以内は無料の為、入るときはゲート勝手に開きますのでこちらもご安心を。

Basic room with basic amenities. Old looking and not the best kept but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t perfectly clean and comfortable. Breakfast was suitable, buffet with sausages, beans, omelette, crepes with ham and cheese, bread, cold cuts, yoghurt, cereal, coffee, orange juice… the things you’d expect from one. Service was friendly and pleasant and the stay was enjoyable.

Ett väldigt annorlunda hotell i en fantastiskt vacker byggnad. Om man tycker om att känna att det finns en intressant historia i byggnad och interiör så kommer man trivas här. Hårda sängar men själv föredrar jag det. Väldigt rent och fint på rummet och perfekt läge både om man vill gå eller använda lokaltrafik. Jag brukar inte gnälla på detaljer men toalettborsten var så fruktansvärt otäck och troligtvis aldrig utbytt så det sänker tyvärr helhetsintrycket. Det finns ingen hiss men trapporna och fönstren i trapporna är fantastiskt vackra så har man full rörlighet så är det snarare en fröjd att få gå i dessa!

The rooms and space we had were huge and everything was clean and had everything we needed. Beds were comfy and we slept well (I had seen some reviews it could be noisy at night). Modern windows have been put in which was lucky as at the time building work was happening on a site opposite and they started around 6am (though not loud enough to wake the boys up). We would happily stay there again, location was good and it had all we needed though appreciate its tired decor might not suit all.

Brilliant location, slap bang in the middle of the pedestrian street. bed squeaked every time you moved and the mattress has seen better days. No fridge or safe, good tv and channels. An old style building and I'd stay again, pleasant check in staff at check in, didn't see much of them after.

terrible hotel,i already spoke with Expedia for this matter, as i did not stayed there, soon i entered the room it was very bad smell, damp on walls, blood stain on carpet very bad condition, i juat left the property cheack out straight away went out and found another good hotel with same price but million times better then this hotel. As from room i got some kind of virus that cauae me breathing, caugh problems. i request Expedia that please do not compromise your reputation as we trust you to book these properties and it is your responsibility to make sure that hotels are good enough to stay for people.

Trevligt hotell i mysig gammaldags byggnad. Mycket rymligt hotellrum med fräscht badrum och sköna sängar. Lite svårt och hitta ingången först, men annars bra tillgänglighet till allt man ville till! Bra pris😊

Worst hotel experience. Family room on the main street on a Friday night opposite a night club with music blasting until 3am and was only staying there the night before an early flight. No AC and impossible to keep windows open with the noise.

It’s an old building, hallways still array it, but my room was perfect. It’s looked freshly refurbished, clean. Bedsheets smelled beautiful and bathroom was efficient too. Location is great, busy steps away, yet the hotel was quiet. Stayed few nights with a Christmas fairs going on next block, slept through all that. Surely didn’t expect much for the price, but it ended up being fabulous stay.

Do not stay at this hotel if you’re someone who likes to sleep. Perfect for insomniacs who may use the hotel as a storage space. If you’re looking for a bad nights sleep, this hotel is for you. Noisy outside, noisy inside. Thin walls - cleaners with loud radios early in the morning. Do not stay on a weekend with loud club next door - we were at other end and still felt the bass and screaming of people. Thin windows - any noise outside we heard.

El Hotel Metrópolis de Kaunas es una opción realmente excelente. Es un hotel de estilo clásico, casi retro, con habitaciones muy amplias (la nuestra incluso con balcón) y con un suelo de parquet muy agradable. El baño es moderno y el agua caliente sale rápido y con muy buena presión. El hotel cuenta con personal en recepción las 24 horas, que es muy amable, habla inglés y resuelve cualquier incidencia de inmediato (nos imprimieron sin problemas una tarjeta de embarque que nos exigía presentar en papel una aerolínea de bajo coste). Las habitaciones las limpian y recogen diariamente. Está en pleno centro de Kaunas, en una calle peatonal principal llena de restaurantes y comercios (y con una cafetería de esas cursis que les gustan a las mujeres justo enfrente). No se me ocurre ni un sólo detalle negativo que poder mencionar, y además el precio está por debajo de la media de las alternativas equivalentes. Si vuelvo a Kaunas repetiré hotel con toda seguridad.

Pretty average stay, engagement from reception was not great, didn't feel particularly welcome at all, Room was ok for one night would l stay again probably not.

The location of the hotel is amazing because it is in a non-traffic street full of shoppers and restaurants around a close to the Archangel Saint Michael Church and Kaunas university. Inside is a reminder of the luxury of the soviet era with all the good and bad that implies. The family where I was had very poor maintenance.

I stayed here twice over the course of a few days, in different rooms each time. The hotel is very well located, right in the centre of Kaunas. Airport bus stops are close by, as well as the pedestrianised retail centre. The staff are very friendly. But the breakfast is quite average, and, as other reviewers have mentioned, the whole place is quite tired and could do with redecoration. But it is cheap.

Excellent location very close to the museums, Christmas markets and a short walk from the old town. The staff were lovely, and I appreciate having a place to store my bag until it was time to leave the town. The room was a decent price for what I paid.

Alt var find' lidt trist at morgenmad ikke severes på selve hotel ' men i sted for i en pizaria på hjønet af gaden. Også burde der være en elkoger på værelset' så man kunne lave tee/kaffe

Ok hotell som lugger väldigt bra. Frukosten torftig

Hotel muito bem localizado. Próximo a maioria dos pontos turísticos da cidade. Excelente chuveiro, cama e internet. Estrutura e decoração do hotel precisa ser renovada. Simpatia do atendente noturno poderia ser melhor. Uma decepção foi o preço do café extremamente caro, especialmente por cobrar o mesmo preço dos adultos para as crianças.
