Motel 6-Spokane, WA - West

Hotel was dirty and security door to interior hallway was broken and didn't lock. Phone in the room was broken. Cable was out for a few hours when we got there. Stray cats around the hotel, broke down cars in the parking lot. I was less worried about cosmetic issues, broken fixtures in the bathroom, holes in bed covers, dirty walls, no working exhaust in the bathroom.

Door card did not work on outer doors. At least two outside doors had broken locks, allowing access to the hotel by anyone.

the halls have not been vacuumed in a long time. The ice machine did not work and there was not hot water in the bathroom sink. The guest across the hall had small dogs that barked for hours. the room itself was clean the comforter had holes, but I guess that is what you get for the price I paid.

Good value for my stay. Security door didn't lock so a bit concerning about safety

The pool was out of order and no notice was sent. Its summer time.

Appears to be new owners that are really cleaning up the place. Our room was really clean, beds comfy, appeared to be new linen, bathrooms very clean. There are no elevators however. It was hard for us to get up the stairs with our dogs and luggage....not the properties fault. I also ordered a room with a fridge and microwave paid through Expedia but when I got there there were none available according to the front desk gentleman...who said I hadnt ordered that...even though my receipt said I had...he said it didnt come through from Expedia that way. Over all, most of the staff were very nice, and tye place is really getting cleaned up.

If you like a hot/cold fluctuating shower, this is the place for you! Found cigarette butts in our bathroom, so attention to cleaning isn't top priority. Bed was decently comfortable. Pictures show a pool, but it's drained and dirty and probably hasn't been in use for a couple years. I've stayed in worse, but would not stay here again.

The room was OK. However, the corridors smell terrible. The pool is a joke. It says it's closed for winter in June 6 and it's nowhere near operational with dirty green water. For a 2-day stay we had to visit the office twice for the room cards. The first day, the attendant mistakenly set the dates for a single-night stay as we figured out after a morning walk. The shower space is too small for a person with a large build.

The gentleman who checked us in was polite and friendly and that portion of the stay went smoothly. However, the doors from the parking areas to the inside hall were broken, leaving only one key pad that worked. Other doors were jimmied to stay unlocked and allow anyone from the outdoors to come in. The glass door area nearest our room was shattered as though someone had hit it with a car or a heavy object. Several of the electrical outlets in the room didn't work, nor did some of the lights. There was hair in the bed sheets that did not belong to anyone in our family. The toilet would not stop running and had to be manually repaired inside after each flush. There were people loitering in the parking lots having arguments through the windows with people living inside the rooms. The whole situation felt very unsafe and makes it hard to consider staying at another Motel 6 when not knowing if the motel will be clean and safe, or another nightmare like this one was.

The washer & dryer was out of order which pissed me off because that was 1 of the major reasons I booked here. Other than that it was fine and close to the airport.

We pulled into the parking lot, went to our room and immediately turned around and left. Parking lot full of cars that it looks like people lived in, vomit in the carpeted hallway, and hair in the bed. We ended up moving immediately to the Best Western by the airport. I requested a refund from the hotel and they will not do it. Chain lock on our door was broken and airvent pulled off of the wall in the bathroom.

Woke up in the morning & moved the pillow to find blood on the sheet that kbvioualy hadnt been cleaned that wasnt mine or my fiances. Saw a baby roach crawling around the bathroom. My fiance had a line of bites on her butt when we woke up in the morning. Motel did NOTHING about it.

Bedspread was filthy with fresh spots. The blanket underneath had stains 12” in diameter the sheet had spots. We switched rooms. In the next room, the TV was off off of the wall bracket setting on the desk. And none of the channels worked. After three trips up and down the stairs to the office, I came back to the room to hear a dog barking in the room directly opposite hours across the hallway. And then at 2:45 AM I woke up and the adjacent room had the TV on loudly.

Found someone elses unwashed blood on the sheet under my pillow, baby roaches in the bathroom, my fiance woke up with a line of roach bites on her butt. Hotel did NOTHING.

It was extremely dirty. The towels all had hair and the bathroom was absolutely filthy. The blankets had burn holes in them. There was an already used and opened soap in the shower, just nasty. I could go on and on but i will save my breath.

I stayed there for 1 night. This place is horrible. It smells like cat pee and weed. I went to bed and woke up the next morning with bites! Multiple on my arms, my neck and my chest. I also saw multiple cockroaches. I will NEVER be staying there again.

Roach infestation I repeat cockroach, infestation bedbugs absolutely disgusting, and cleansing. Would not recommend staying here at this hotel. Worst experience of my entire life. Do not go here.!! I have videos a cockroach’s in our room absolutely disgusting.

this place has bed bugs and the non-smoking rooms still smell like smoke. addicts roam outside and the side doors that should only be opened with a keycard are broken and unlocked. hallways are covered with old food and cigarette butts. didn’t even sleep there, took one look at the blood stained pillows and booked a different place. avoid at all costs.

Comfortable Bed, no issues

So the place would have been really clean if not for the used soap with hair on it in the shower. That is so wrong. Also, the pillows are terrible. But the bed is comfy. The shower is very low. So if you are taller than 5’7” you will have to duck. I was connected to the internet. But it didn’t work at all!

Rooms are poorly kept up. Dirty. Floors looked horrible. Antenna tv that really didn't work. Not enough towels wash clothes etc

This is an old motel. Updates are badly needed. Shower is small. It took a long time for the water to get hot. The bathroom sink was very slow to drain. It drained so slowly toothpaste didn't completely go away. Cigarette burns on the bedding in a no smoking room. I was on the 1st floor a the window lock was very shotty.

Double bed room was too small

No phone in room. No fridge in room. Only 3 channels on the tv...pbs, cooking, kid shows...no hot water in AM...broken boiler...noisy neighbour at night.. just coffeemate for coffee...was cheap and now i know why

Walls are paper-thin. Conversations and bodily functions were clearly audible.

Wifi was very poor. TV remote control didn’t work. Poor TV channel selection. Lots of noise in the hallway at 2:00Am.

The television was not very good, it was a crappy picture, loose connection or something

My daughter and I booked a night at this place because it was near the airport and we needed a night before driving back to BC. When we arrived, the office where we checked in smelled strongly like cigarette smoke. The staff was unprofessional but kind. We proceeded to our room which was at the back of the building. The first door didn’t work with the key card so we drove around to the other side and re-parked. That door worked but when we walked in, more smoke filled hallways. Gross. And not just a little bit. We opened the door of our room and were met with more smoke, with a big sign on the door saying “no smoking”. It was disgusting and we didn’t even go all the way in. I walked back to the office and asked for another room. The staff immediately apologized and gave us keys to a new room on the 2nd floor. We walked with all our luggage up the stairs (no elevator) and opened up that door. More smokey rooms. We stayed for about 20 minutes trying to decide what to do. My daughter has asthma and was having trouble breathing. The bed covers had cigarette butt burns all over them, the room was dirty and the window was hard to open to get much needed air. There was no way we could stay there. This place is not a motel…it was a sad excuse for a cheap night, sold on the website as convenient by the airport and inexpensive. Both of things things were true, but the place was awful. We ended up driving all the way back to BC, with cigarette soaked clothes. Don’t do it!

Reserved a room online and finally after 15 minutes of waiting in office got key only to get a key to a room that was already occupied. Go downstairs get another room only to have a key to another room that was occupied. Went back and got yet another room but the key didn't work so we through the key in drop box and left to find a different hotel. Place smells terrible. Totally run down. Save your money for a different hotel.. DONT GO HERE!

Didn’t inform me that the water heaters were not working. Replacements were outside. They could have at least acknowledge/mentioned it at check in.

Paid to stay there 2 nights never got a working room key had to keep going back to the office every time I needed in my room wait over an hour for new towels. Unprofessional staff need more training

Clean rooms and the guy at the front desk is awesome. Very kind and helpful.

Staff are all friendly. But they are understaffed. Maintenance items slipping. Some of the tvs don’t have service, dish network issue, but they still book the rooms. I changed rooms but they didn’t update their system; they then booked my room TWICE that night. USE THE SECURITY LATCH ;). The room is fine, area a little questionable. Didn’t have a room available for my reservation, had one by 630p. The amazing cleaning staff were still working at midnight.

When i arrived the worker behind the counter ignored me for a moment then tokd me to wait a moment. He did nothing but stand there for a few minutes and waited for another person to come in and clock on and then he left. The new worker was quiet didnt talk and also made me wait a moment with out saying anything. Eventually after checking in we drive around the building to where our room was. While passing the side of the building, the side door looked smashed by bullet holes. Upon arriving to the door we would go into the building through, the handle was busted and the door was able to open without key. Unfortunately we had the room next to this door and it slammed all night long. Along with the neighbor upstairs running around til 5am nonstop, my family didnt get any sleep. Once we were all up and getting ready for the day, THERE WAS A COCAROACH NEXT TO OUR FOOD, ALIVE! We immediately booied a different hotel and packed everything up and went to the front desk to ask for a refund. I even have a photo of the bug! The same man from the night before was there, the 1st worker, and he was ver dismissive and had no feedback and was basically ignoring us as he stared at his computer screen. The front desk guy, #2, was clueless and didnt know what to do in the situation and kept looking at the man, #1, while #1 just kept looking at his computer. Eventually he said hotels com needs to refund us to get our $ back.

at 3pm it took me an hour and half to check-in, the front desk clerk was totally unprepared, the manager refused to help out even though she was on property, very few rooms were cleaned and ready, there were at least 12 people in line after me and waiting to check. The worse experience I have ever had at a hotel, what a disaster!!

Room clean and staff was very nice. The guy at the front desk is the best.

First off, Adrian at the front desk is great. He is calm and helpful - especially when faced with room and keycard issues. We arrived early but told check in was 230pm. When we came back it took over an hour to check in, as issues with rooms & keys and only 1 staff at the desk. Rooms keys a big issue as many guests coming down as locked out room. I was upgraded from a Queen bed room to 2 Double beds as the first room given had someone in it. The upgraded room had a Microwave and mini fridge (very old) Room was basic and clean. Fan in bathroom very loud and toilet did not flush. Room did not have a do not distrub sign, no bathroom amentities like shampoo or hair dryer. TV channels limited and my tv remote had no batteries. Another trip to the front desk. I was given batteries but the remote did not work. Since checkin was so chaotic - I was not provided the wifi or any information about the hotel. Toilet did not flush - I tried to call the front desk by dialing 0 as there was not directions or paper to tell you how to call. No one answered. I went to the front desk to get a plunger - but he could not find it and was going to deliver to my room. This did not happen as he forgot to write my room number down. BUT - Bed was comfortable and no noise above or around my room. Price was the best in town - but still expensive for a Motel.

I stayed here for one night. The area was sketchy even though close to the airport. The room was not very nice, in fact, i slept with my clothes on because I didn't dare uncover.

Sketchy neighborhood, but cheaper than other local hotels. side door didn't work, tv didn't work, and shower sealing is mildewed. But, there's a pool. Rooms were clean AC worked just fine, periodic noise from something mechanical, but a decent value for a quick overnight.

Very sketchy looking people hanging around, the smell of drugs, and the outside doors were not locked. And there was nothing around the building, food was a drive, not a walk. Not even a nearby convenience store.

Good price and location

I had a flight to catch, and it was close to the airport.

The staff was friendly. The motel was quiet. The area was a little sketchy but not excessive. The room was clean.

The laundry machines were out of order which was quite an inconvenience, the staff were friendly and helpful. There is no stores within a 2 mile radius, so if you are visiting without a car, it can be costly fast in terms of Uber services. The rooms were clean but the lights were dim and felt slightly ominous. Other than that the experience went smoothly and I would recommend them certainly as they are 30-40$ cheaper a night compared to other hotels in that area. it’s only a 6min drive from the airport

New property, very basic, good value. Convenient to downtown Spokane.

This motel 6 smells like mildew. Especially in the hallways. The air conditioner in the room struggled to keep it cool. The walls are thin. The only plus is its proximity to the airport.

Close to the Qlispe Raceway

No breakfast. No microwaves fridges or coffee pots in rooms. Bath towels are too small.

No shopping or restaurants nearby. No pictures on the wall. No hot tub. No gym. One small microwave shared with all othe guests. No coffee pot. Some lamps not working. No screens on windows. No pen or paper. About as minimalist as you can get, except they do have a pool.

When I booked the room, I would have sworn it said Free Continental Breakfast. I just looked again and the listing doesn't say that. My bad. Room was OK. No frills. Acceptable value.

Basic hotel in a quiet location. No coffee maker or breakfast, just coffee to go. Staff were very helpful and it was very clean. I booked this hotel at the beginning of the year at around $50 for the night, when I checked in I was told I got a great price as the rooms were now over $200 due to a hoop fest event. I would not have been happy if I had to pay that price though.
