It was great the staff was great the only issue I had was the pool was closed and I was not informed until arrival

The property was fine, but neither Expedia nor the hotel mentioned the pool was closed for repairs. After traveling most of that hot day, we were looking forward to being in a pool .

Nice place. Clean. Comfortable. Quiet. Staff is friendly and nice. But the pool is out of service and we specifically stayed here so our kids could enjoy the pool. So that was a bummer. I’ll call beforehand next time!

Well, the property was ok. The not like was that we had planned on swimming in the pool for the evening and the pool was closed. The attendant said that he would try and give a discount but was unable because I booked through you, and I would have to contact you. We had taken our mother of 85years old on a short vacation to the castle and with the heat thought the pool would be something relaxing before the next day trip.

Location was convenient for our stay, just passing through. The hotel was clean, pool was closed but exercise room was nice. The noise level from the room above us was less than ideal and you could hear conversations from the room next door. Breakfast was decent but some fresh fruit would have been nice, there was only apples. Overall no major complaints.

Very clean and free parking!

Never sent us an email letting us know the pool was down and not working didnt tell us till after we had to pay $50 deposit. It really hindered our week. Had to spend extra money to take my kids to a park to swim.

We stay here twice a year and everyone is always so nice. It’s always super clean.

The room was clean and spacious, and the beds were comfortable. And the manager who checked us in was just as nice as could be. Several food options in the area, and complimentary coffee is always appreciated. We were very pleased with this stay!

Seemed like a brand new hotel. No visible stains on hall carpets or room. "Free Breakfast" was above average. Had several meat choices, eggs biscuits and gravy and machine that made fresh pancakes instead of the normal waffle machine. Rooms and public area were all clean workout the bleach smell I find at some hotels. Will consider staying at other Holiday inn Express as this was a much better experience than the last time i tried the chain.

The pool was closed. The bathroom shower had mold and exposed screws from some prior shelf/seat. Otherwise, the room, staff, parking, and parking were fine.

Beware if you are adding notes with your reservation through Expedia. I booked a king room with tub and separate shower for a weekend getaway for my wife's birthday, we are going through a rough situation and wanted to take a pause. In the notes I added NO first floor, NO close to elevators because I'm a super light sleeper. When I got there they gave me a room in the first floor, literally next to the elevator (room 103). Well, that wasn't the worst part... they gave us an "accessibility room", one of the rooms for elders or handicapped people, on my wife's BIRTHDAY. If you are a woman or if you are married you will understand very well the consecuences of that!!! Of course I asked for a change, but I was told the hotel was fully booked. Well, the fun didn’t end there, the room and the elevators were, indeed, loud and I wasnt able to sleep, the handicapped shower was pretty dirty, the blinds had some weird marks, like chocolate (I really hope) and BED BUGS. The good news is that we also had some spiders trying to eat them, the problem is that when you feel them when you are trying to sleep is no fun. I'd wish I could upload the pictures and videos here, but don't worry, they will be on trip advisor and on my social media, Martin Motors Media! The couple stars is because the breakfast eggs were actually pretty good, but well, it wasnt enough compensation for the sleepless 3 hours drive back home scratching the bug bites... Next time I'm staying at the Hyatt Place :')

Easily one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. Clean, well lit rooms with soft beds and *labeled* options for firm or soft pillows. Excellent breakfast options, friendly staff, easy check in. The only negative thing I can say is that there was a light on in the room when we arrived that took us a while to find the switch to turn off, but that has far more to with us arriving around 1am and being stupid tired than any actual flaw with the hotel.

Overall this Holiday Inn Express was nice. The location was convenient to everything we planned to do. My one small complaint is being placed in a room right by the elevator bank. It was loud not only from the machines themselves, but from people getting off an on all night. Judging from the parking lot there were plenty of open rooms, so I was disappointed that the staff selected this one for our family.

This property is beautiful and impressive, with a lovely lobby and breakfast area. Our King room was spacious, clean, and provided the best, most accessible computer access at bedside I've yet seen. That said: (1) The pillows were large & seemed poofy but flattened out when lain on. No neck support at all. (2) The sheets/blankets were attached, so you could use the single sheet or cover up with the attached blanket/comforter. Freeze with the sheet, get overheated with the comforter. Wish they were separated. (3) The bathroom was large & well-lit, with a nice sink, but there was a BARN DOOR entrance! This was a heavy door, very hard to move, and it got off its track, trapping me in the bathroom. My husband had to lift it to free me. The toilet paper holder was loose on one side and dangled, and the TP fell off onto the floor if it wasn't set just right. The shower was huge, with nice amenities, BUT THE SHOWER FAUCET was attached only with a metal clip and could not be angled to spray on one's body! Instead, if pointing at the body, it sprayed all over the shower curtain & floor. On the second morning, the metal clip failed completely, clattering to the floor of the shower, and the loose shower head spraying everywhere -- on towels and the floor. What a mess! On the plus side, we were wonderfully greeted by Nadine at the front desk, and Karla in the breakfast area was VERY FRIENDLY and made us feel welcome. The breakfast both mornings was DELICIOUS!

Great stay. Only con is this room is by the elevator and is very noisy. Room was clean. Breakfast was good.

Staff were friendly. Air-conditioning was very loud.

The HVAC unit in the room was very very noisy. I had to turn it off while sleeping at night. This was the same issue for our previous stay as well which I gave my comment. It appears the management hasn’t done anything about it. I am not sure why you guys ask for feedback if management doesn’t do anything about these kinds of issues.

Hotel is nice and clean. Only BIG problem: I had wake-up call ordered at 3.30 bcs early morning flight… they forgot! Obviously I had also alarm on my phone, otherwise I had lost the flight. Completely unprofessional.

The attendant at breakfast was beyond exceptional! Everything was hot and delicious. She even apologized for burning the biscuits— they weren’t even overdone. She said she likes them light and fluffy, and if they don’t look like that, they were overdone. Her attitude was bubbly and infectious! Made for an absolutely beautiful start to the morning!

The checkin experience was excellent. After a long day of traveling the lady at the front desk was welcoming, efficient and very helpful. I also appreciate her assistance with a special request to ensure I would make it to my final destination in time. My stay was brief, but I wish that the AC unit was quieter during the night.

Overall had a horrible experience. The room I purchased was not available for customer. Hostess at the front desk was rude. While her tone was okay her words and actions were not pleasant or helpful. The system locked up. I had to wait 20 minutes before I could even get in a room. I was told it was against the policy to view the room before purchasing it.

Checked in to only find out the building had no hot water and it would not be restored for at least a day maybe two. I checked out after finding this out and asked the front desk why I was not told when I checked in. She said "we were told by management to not tell anyone"

Clean andbinviting, comfortable room. Staf pleasantcandvengahing with guests. Responded immediately to issues with spologies although issue was dead battery on door.

Friendly and helpful

The entire staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I couldn't figure out out to get the WI FI set up. The girl and the front desk came to my room to help me. Very Kind!!

This hotel is in like new condition. Everything was very quiet and clean. There isn’t much around the hotel without a pretty significant drive, but we still found lots to do within a 30 minute drive. Definitely a great hotel, but would love to find more restaurant options.

Nice standard hotel. It was quiet, safe and clean. Free breakfast was extensive and good. There is a Kroger and some restaurants within walking distance.

My wife and I stayed here for our Anniversary. Excellent hotel staff, very friendly. Very pleased with the room size, comfort and overall shape. Hotel in general is kept clean and in good order. Great location with many places of convenience. Close to Lexington area and easy access to the Bourbon Trail, wineries and other attractions.

Wonderful hotel located very close to Frankfort and Lexington. A great choice for visiting the Kentucky Bourbon Trail as many distilleries are located very close by. Many restaurants located nearby and beautiful downtown Versailles is also close by. Wonderful breakfast

Very noisy….shower did not have safety strips….and tub would not hold water….had the same breakfast 4 days in a row with only minor changes.
