The rooms were clean. Bed was clean and comfortable. The neighborhood is dirty. Parking is available but inconvenient. The building has no elevator making carrying our luggage to the sixth floor an adventure. No front desk or concierge to provide information.

Great for solo traveler. Good location. Offer free water and espresso machine in the room. Only few downsides. 1. No elevator but they offer help carrying during office hour. 2. No chair for work while in the room. 3. Outside noise could bother while sleeping but they offer earplugs and white noise machine. 4. Wifi indicator blue light is too bright for dark room sleeper.

No staff for check in. Just had the combo to enter the main door and room door. Luggage lockers for storage. Only 2 open for use. 2 broken. The other 4 were already in use.

I was surprised, this is like the Uber of hotels rooms. The building seems newly renovated and I was sad there was no laundry but everything else was great. Only thing I would say is don't get a ground floor room, the noise of guests in and out the main door is very loud in the rooms nearest the main door.

The property is very clean and cozy. You can store luggage after checking out and there is a lounge with a restroom. This is very convenient for me since my flight is at night! The staff is very friendly on chat too! One thing that can be improved is to have at least one staff staying over night for solving issues such as noise complaint!

Room was fine..but have to pay USD 76 if you want it serviced. I think a stay pf two weeks should have towels and bedding changed once for free..wall are thin, too much noise. Can hear conversations and music..TV lost signal 4 times and TV is too complicated, have to sign into apps. I'd rather just have free live TV. Staff were nice..the entry system works..bed comfortable. The price was good when booked through Expedia..not so good when I needed two extra nights..

Love the location in Capitol Hill! Line 1 to the airport a short walk away with street cars and buses half a block walk. Great restaurants, bars, and things to do all within walking distance. Rooms are small and spartan. Still nice and designed well. They do provide a mini-fidge, coffee machine, and teas. Just FYI: This hotel is largely unstaffed. There are small amenity cabinets on every floor, but do not expect a fully staffed hotel. There are also no elevators for public use aside from a service elevator if you absolutely need it. Bring a water bottle because there are filtered water machines on every floor. I would recommend bringing an eye mask due to the ambiant light in the room coming from electronic LEDs. They do provide earplugs and a white noise machine for those not used to city noise.

Clean and safe, its a nice alternative to a regular hotel. Times staff are on site vary, but they came through with a microwave and iron in a timely fashion. Rooms are quite small, but efficient.

Stayed here during my first solo trip, and it was a cozy, welcoming place. I did run into one issue; the sheets didn’t appear fresh. Normally, I don’t like to reach out or ask for anything, but I’m really glad I did in this case. The staff resolved it quickly and kindly. Jeremy was especially helpful, super friendly and thoughtful, and brought fresh bedding right away. If you ever have a concern, don’t hesitate to contact the front desk. I truly felt taken care of and heard. Thank you, Jeremy!

I enjoyed our stay, the only thing that caught me off guard was the room cleaning. The building itself was always spectacular it was clean and I don’t know how they did it but it always smelled wonderful when we walked in. The room was very clean when we arrived, but what I didn’t know, was that it cost extra to have your room cleaned during your stay. It wasn’t a terrible thing, but it was something that I wasn’t expecting, and I wish it was mentioned beforehand.

The only negative review I have for this place is that I didn’t stay with a Sonder sooner! Everything was so clean from the moment I walked in to the hallways, stairs and room. Small details such as plenty of outlets, hooks and lights was so great. Floor length mirror & a fuzzy blanket on the bed in addition to the comforter was also an added bonus. The bed and pillows were perfect. I had to contact customer service via the app (I had an issue joining Wi-Fi- my own fault) and they were very responsive and helpful. TV was easy to use and logged into my own Netflix account (no cable). The sound machine was also a nice touch. I live in a major city, street noise does not bother me so I can’t speak on the location being loud or not. Perfect location to so many food, bars and coffee spots- cute cat cafe around the corner if you’re missing your fur babies back home :). I can’t recommend this place enough and will definitely stay again in another city!

We loved staying at the Sonder the Boylston, it was a beautiful hotel! The room was awesome, very clean, & beautifully designed. The bed was comfortable, the shower was excellent. Everything about this hotel was awesome! The location of this hotel is AWESOME, almost everything is within walking distance. We walked to the Amazon Spheres, walking to the Monorail at Westlake Center is quick and easy. The lounge was cute, they even had little lockers to keep extra luggage if needed. I loved this hotel & I will forsure be trying to stay with the Sonder company anywhere else I go from now on. I just feel like Sonder does it better. My partner strongly agrees that Sonder is amazing, I highly recommend staying here! LOVED it, thank you! My only complaints are there is NO elevator, which honestly didn’t even bother us. We had 3 big bags & 2 paddle boards so it was even more work to carry it up to the 5th floor, but honestly didn’t bother us at all. Some people might not like the no elevator situation so thought I would mention that just in case. My real complaint is not even apart of the hotel, it’s just the Parking situation is kind of annoying/awkward. They recommend street parking or the 1609 Harvard Ave parking garage. It’s not Sonders fault, but this garage just seems very very sketchy to me. Our entire trip we were very concerned for our car. It’s around the corner from the hotel as well. Kind of makes it’s awkward for loading/unloading. Other than that, we loved it very much!!

IMPORTANT: Make sure pre check-in is completed in advance, requires a few extra steps that you probably won't want to do at the front door. Property is clean and quiet, great proximity to public transit and local activities. The entrance is on a smaller street with low lighting, so exercise caution at night (as you would in any large city). Excellent price. Would come here again for sure

Fairly basic accommodation but in a good location. About 30 min walk to Pike Place Market and the pier. We had the accessible room which was right by the entrance so there was a lot of noise with the door constantly slamming.

These Sonder by Marriot Bonvoy places are the perfect hybrid between an actual hotel and a hostel! The staff were excellent, the room was clean an amenities were of high quality. I would definitely stay there again!

Great location, restaurants and coffee shops everywhere. Tiniest room ever. Painful online checkin process. Very clean. If you are set on staying in Capitol Hill and don’t mind a tiny room, I’d recommend it.

Adorable space in a great location, very walkable to public transit and with lots of dining and shops close by. Area was relatively quiet, but sound carried through room walls so the white noise machines and earplugs were excellent adds to the room. Love the Davines products in the shower, great water pressure, comfortable bed and linens.

My partner and I recently stayed for 4 nights at this hotel in a room with a queen-sized bed (160 sq ft), and overall, we had a wonderful experience. The space was modern and clean when we arrived, and we were really impressed with how fresh and well-maintained everything appeared. However, as we unpacked, we realized the room felt a bit cramped with all of our belongings. If space is important to you, it might be worth splurging on a larger room. It’s super walkable, with plenty of food spots and shops around, making it easy to grab a bite or do a little shopping on foot. Plus, it’s only about a 10-minute drive to downtown Seattle. All in all, we had a great stay, and I’d definitely recommend this hotel to others looking for a convenient, modern, and comfortable base while visiting Seattle. Just be mindful of the room size if you're traveling with a lot of stuff!

The rooms are nice but they have a little unconventional layout. The shower in my room was next to the front door, which is fine because it was just me. There is no desk in the room, but there is a large countertop that works as a standup desk. There was a refrigerator but no microwave. The bed was very comfortable and there were a lot of outlets. One possible downside for some is that this property does not have an elevator.

This is not a full service hotel. It's also probably not a place to stay with anyone other than a partner as the shower is kind of in the middle of the room. That being said, we loved it. Great location and great room. We would stay here again. My only complaint is I wish there was an elevator.

The property was a renovated apartment house. It was nicely done. The rooms are tiny. No closet. Our rooms ac units thermostat did not function properly. It would blow cold air at full blast with no ability to choose a low setting. Either full on or we had to turn off. The room was tiny and it would become frigid. Also the exhaust fan did not work. This our room would become very steamy after a shower.

For one person, the room we had would have been fine, but it was very cramped for two. The shower was also clearly designed with a couple in mind (clear glass). With that said, the bed was comfortable; the hotel was clean; and it was well maintained. The location was excellent - easy to access the airport; close to the Capitol Hill neighborhood; and relatively close to downtown Portland and the adjacent tourist areas.

The building and lounge area were nice. The odd thing we found was the design of the room. A room just with a toilet, the shower is out in the bedroom and the sink also separately. There is enough space to have all the bathroom items in one room inside of the bedroom… The room didn’t feel quite right.

Walls are super thin so you can hear everything next door, above and in the hallway. It is a self check in hotel so there is no service if needed. It is basically a house that is very poorly insulated.

Good location, shops nearby. No staff to ask questions to and I couldn't check in as was not sent the codes. All done through an app which also did not work even after enquiring. Very noisy room with the toilet flashing every 30 seconds even through the night

I was booked into an occupied room. Opened the door and a woman’s belongings were unpacked all over the room. Was on the phone for an hour before I was given another and had to argue with the customer service agent about what was happening. Even then, it wasn’t the same type of room. Still waiting for a refund.

The room was surprisingly small yet perfect. I loved how clean it was, the lighting was great and the bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. It had everything I needed except an iron and ironing board. All of my clothes were wrinkled from being packed and I had formal events to attend so I stressed about it. I finally messaged Sonder through the app and someone showed up within 15 minutes and saved the day! I was so happy and relieved…and pleasantly surprised by how fast they helped solve the problem. I’d stay there again in a heartbeat.

I love how clean the rooms are and how close it is to cafes and restaurants. Kinda hard to get in if your ID wont upload to check in. But once we got a hold of customer service they were pretty quick on helping us check in manually.

Room was fine..but have to pay USD 76 if you want it serviced. I think a stay pf two weeks should have towels and bedding changed once for free..wall are thin, too much noise. Can hear conversations and music..TV lost signal 4 times and TV is too complicated, have to sign into apps. I'd rather just have free live TV. Staff were nice..the entry system works..bed comfortable. The price was good when booked through Expedia..not so good when I needed two extra nights..

This property is well cared for and my stay was Great! They are responsive and care about your stay. Rooms are very clean and comfortable despite the rooms being slightly smaller. This option is wonderful for solo travel. I would highly recommend. The staff is not 24/7 but they are present some of your stay. You will see them coming and going. There is no elevator if you aren't on the main floor. It is a bit of a different setup but I think it works just fine. Great for walking around Seattle and Cap Hill. I walked downtown/Pike's Market/ Volunteer Park etc. After tons of walking (by choice) I did however get an Uber back up the hills to Boylston. Had I not already walked so much it wouldn't have been too bad of a walk for me but may be for others.

First time checking into a property without on-site staff, went really well! IMPORTANT: Make sure pre check-in is completed in advance, requires a few extra steps that you probably won't want to do at the front door. Property is clean and quiet, great proximity to public transit and local activities. The entrance is on a smaller street with low lighting, so exercise caution at night (as you would in any large city). Excellent price. Would come here again for sure

Having paid for my reservation, I discovered that the property was more vending-machine than hotel. I received an email asking me to complete a secondary identification process. In order to receive the front-door entry code, I had to reconfirm my credit card, upload two selfies, and upload pictures of my driving license. The response email informed me that the entry code was unavailable because my room was not yet ready. I would get another email with the code once it was available. That email never came. When I arrived at the property, I called the customer service number displayed next to the front door and was connected to a call center on the other side of the world. I remained on hold for 20 minutes, pacing up and down the street in front of the hotel. While waiting for the representative to get back to me, I took a dislike to the music coming through my phone. I read all the nearby graffiti. I shook my head when passersby requested my spare cash. When the representative eventually returned, he'd made no progress. Everything about the Sonder was terrible. The check in process is a nightmare. The room had not been cleaned so we were asked to leave (after being checked in) until later that evening. The location is great - lots of restaurants and bars and only 15 min walk to downtown Seattle. Easy to access. Very clean and well appointed. They even provide a noise machine - which was necessary - the neighborhood was very quiet but walls are thin so I could hear my neighbor's every snore. Despite this, I would definitely stay again.

It was great. The property was clean and well maintained. It’s in a sort of sketchy area- right near a club and folks hanging out. I felt a bit nervous coming home at night and fumbling to find my phone and correctly typing in the code for the front door. I’d have felt safer with a person at a front desk or at the door.

The Boylston was a great stay for us coming up from Texas! The only downside was if you stay on the second floor the noise from the entrance can be kind of loud. But we stayed using 2 different reservations so the second reservation was in the 4th floor and the experience was far better. Overall u give the boylston a 9/10 rating! Would come again!

Overall, we had a very good time. The room was clean. Shower was great. The staff was pretty knowledgeable and always present. It was a located in a nice area where we could go to dinner and breakfast in the morning. I would definitely stay here again.

Very small, but okay for one night. If you area tall/big couple, might want to consider other accommodations. I probably would not want to spend multiple nights here. Vibe is cold but sterile. The shower is right next to the main door to the hallway, and the door and walls are glass, so it is a bit awkward in that you can't leave the room if someone is showering because there is a risk of exposure. There was also a strange smell (not quite sewage smell, but maybe old water?). You can request a ground floor to avoid the stairs which was nice.
