First things first. This is a beautifully appointed hotel, tastefully incorporating a Victorian building. A useful location, with CAT bus stops close by. The facilities are good. Unusually, I was arriving with a hire car, and so I was pleased that there was (limited) on-site parking for a $30AU charge. If you're not fast you're last! We didn't have breakfast at the hotel because there are plenty of nearby options. A few gripes though: 1) the desk staff were not the most welcoming and could be a little abrupt in the interactions we experienced. Communication breakdowns occurred a few times. Was it because English was a second language for those on the desk...? Possibly. But that's not uncommon. 2) the window in our room was leaking, and with recent heavy rain, had created a puddle on the carpet which had started to turn moldy. Not the healthiest for guests to be breathing mold spores! We reported this to house-keeping who, quite frankly, didn't appear to care at all. I'm 50/50 on whether I would stay again.

Although advertised as a 5 star luxury hotel, with several restaurants, bars and amenities, and a buffet breakfast included with the room, the experience was poor. Restaurants were completely closed on some days and closed very early on others. The rooftop bar was booked out for events. The breakfast was from a restrictive meat-based menu with either coffee or orange juice. The pub closed at 8pm. Water bottles were only provided on check in and had to be personally requested thereafter with the hotel policy being not to provide them. Room service food options consisted of a toastie. The hotel is beautiful and the rooms outstanding but the roof bar is only open at the weekend and we had booked as we wanted to meet friends there. Shouldn’t we pay less if all the facilities are not available? There is no room service or mini bar and to pay $35 a night for parking which is more than the car park outside the hotel is unbelievable.

Very nice located hotel, unfortuantelly TV does not work properly, shower head was leaking all around, there was a holes in ceiling due to leak there as well and mold was build up. Staff and customer service was very good, was very clean, bed was very comfortable, coffee was very delicious. On Saturday everything there is closing early so look outside for some food/drinks

Very convenient..cafe, bar and restaurant on-site, a short walk to local bars and restaurants also great retail shopping. A walk to local tourist spots. Book in, park the car and enjoy!

Property is well located - close to shops and restaurants. Offsite parking is close, safe and very reasonably priced. The property is modern, well maintained and staff helpful. The room was lovely and spacious with a comfortable bed and pillows. I thought the inclusion of movies etc was a very nice touch. I booked a contemporary room, but I was given an accessible room (contemporary may mean accessible? I am not sure). Anyway, as I am tall, I did find the sink uncomfortably low and I missed a soak in a bathtub which I was looking forward to having. However, as I was there just a night, I did not request a change room.

Return visit to this hotel. Good location, easy walk to main shopping centre, bus and train stations. Within walking distance of Elizabeth Quay. Stayed Saturday and Sunday nights. Sunday was disappointing as both the bar area and restaurant were closed. Breakfast choices very limited and no proper dining area. The hotel is lovely and conveniently located. The staff were all very pleasant. There was some misleading information on the booking description that was disappointing. There is not a spa on site. As I had booked for that reason, it was a bit irritating. Maybe they will correct that in the listing. Note that the nearest spa will require at least 24 hr advanced booking to accommodate guests of the hotel (with limited availability). Other than that, my stay was excellent.

Very new and modern fittings and furnishings. Poor Cleanliness - housekeeping did not vacuum floors or change sheets. Pretty sure the same towels were just rehung each day. One day the room was only partly tidied and a bag of rubbish left on the ironing board! No minibar if you wanted a snack or Nespresso maker so to me this is not 4 star. Rooms are absolutely tiny and mine didn’t even have an arm chair to sit on. I had to sit on the bed or the desk chair.

Overall, it was a nice stay at The Melbourne Hotel in Perth. The location of the hotel is at the edge of the Central Business District. Nevertheless, it is walkable to most facilities such as the train station and some of the landmarks. The front desk staff was polite and helpful. When we arrived to check in, they had the information ready for my check-in. The hotel is quite new and the room has been newly renovated. Also, the property is clean throughout. On the negative size, the body wash was not replenished for 4 days. Also, it is an open concept design for the shower stall. Half of the bath room would become wet after shower. I will rate it just 9 out of 10.

Nice boutique hotel, the staff are very friendly, room we had was spaceous, nice restaurants and cafe downstairs, lobby is modern and stylish. The area is great being close to RAC arena and hay and murray street shopping disctrict. A couple of small down sides: 1. Aircon kept defaulting back to 20 degrees so the room was too hot for us to sleep comfortably so sleep was bad. But we are used to very cold room. You can open a window but outside is VERY noisy. 2. Shower design isn't great. Water comes right out 3. Was only 1 caffeinated coffee the rest were decaf. 4. Some dust and hair in the corner of bathroom Those are all fairly small things. Aircon was the worst part for us but overall its a great hotel in great location.

Unfortunately, I didn’t have the best experience during my stay. I requested for my room to be cleaned, but when I returned, it hadn’t been attended to. I called housekeeping and requested that my room be cleaned as I needed fresh towels and toilet paper. They called me back to inform me that someone would attend to it shortly. However, 30 minutes later, a team member arrived, but instead of cleaning the room, they only handed me towels and toilet paper. When I spoke to the housekeeping staff member, I kindly asked for clean glasses and coffee mugs as well, which should have been part of the room cleaning. This was quite disappointing, as I had hoped for a more thorough service. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

立地はよいです。若干外れの方なので静かですし、あまり危ない感じもなかった。（ノースブリッジの方にしなくてよかった…） リノベーションホテルであることが選んだ理由ですが、新しい建物の方の部屋だったので、内部は普通。ロビー周りと外観は新旧一体となって美しいです。 唯一気になったのは清掃です。3泊しましたが、タオルが補充されたりされなかったり（2人なのに1枚補充だったり）、ベッドメイクやゴミ箱、床なども清掃されてたりされてなかったり、基準がなぞでした。

5つ星ホテルの清潔さと快適さで、とても気持ちよく滞在できました。建物自体は古いですが、隣の部屋の音はまったく聞こえず静かに過ごせます。 中心街にありながら専用駐車場があるのは大変便利でした。部屋も広く、スリッパも用意されていて快適です。 朝食はとにかくボリューム満点！朝からお腹いっぱいになれるので、ぜひ朝食オプションをつけることをおすすめします。 唯一残念だったのはWiFiで、暗号化通信が無料で使えるともっと安心できると思いました。

Very disappointed. The rain shower was not working. The blinds did not block out the light from the sun and so woke up at the crack of dawn. Aircon kept turning on and off through the night, ao would wake up very hot and/or to the sound of fans blasting. Either ways, it was an exceptionally bad experience. Leaving us heavily sleep deprived, tired and disappointed. Room prices certainly did not match the poor standards of the room. Upon telling staff at check out, we were told they will let management know but with no remorse nor offer a way of applogy.

Although the room is quite nice, they shortchange customers on critical aspects that ruin the overall experience. Their “basic free WiFi” clocks in at 2-3 mb/s which is painfully slow for any task. They offer a $10 per day premium WiFi but not even the Hilton or Marriott does this shenanigans. It’s 2024. Free fast WiFi is the minimum. Also their checkout is 10am. This is absurdly early. Even when you ask for a late check out, the most they could give was 1030 without charging you extra. Little things like this really make you feel nickle and dimed and leave a sour taste.

Nicely located hotel in a quiet area but with plenty of bars,cafes, shops nearby . Short stroll into town centre and down to the river area. Hotel was okay , maybe a little bit tired in the bedroom and succeptable to traffic noise being on the road . Good options for dining and small gym. All in all a decent stay and location.

5つ星ホテルの清潔さと快適さで、とても気持ちよく滞在できました。建物自体は古いですが、隣の部屋の音はまったく聞こえず静かに過ごせます。 中心街にありながら専用駐車場があるのは大変便利でした。部屋も広く、スリッパも用意されていて快適です。 朝食はとにかくボリューム満点！朝からお腹いっぱいになれるので、ぜひ朝食オプションをつけることをおすすめします。 唯一残念だったのはWiFiで、暗号化通信が無料で使えるともっと安心できると思いました。

The Melbourne Hotel is reasonably well located and within walking distance of the CBD centre and other attractions. The contemporary room I occupied was clean and neat with the usual essentials. There was a hiccup on my night time arrival with the fridge not working at all. However, Fritz at the reception was quick to the rescue with a replacement within half an hour - an excellent and commendable response. Another hiccup was the stuck shower alternator which restricted water flow only to the overhead rain showerhead and didn't allow switching to the handheld showerhead. This took 2 days of reminding reception before it was rectified - not a big deal since the overhead was still running. A problem arose during checkout when I was informed that drinks at the pub had been charged to my room although I had not patronised the pub at all during my stay. The hotel advised it would check the signature on the receipt against mine. It points to the need for adequate verification at the point of sale. Overall, a decent enough hotel that I would return to for my next visit.

While the reception staff were wonderful our stay was a little disappointing. We were given ajoining rooms as requested but on the conference floor. Our friends bathroom was very different to ours despite bolking 2 of the same rooms. Their bathroom was extremely small. Our bathroom did not supply any moisturiser, one small towel hook so no room to hang towels or hand towels and air con kept resetting to 24 which was too warm.

First things first. This is a beautifully appointed hotel, tastefully incorporating a Victorian building. A useful location, with CAT bus stops close by. The facilities are good. Unusually, I was arriving with a hire car, and so I was pleased that there was (limited) on-site parking for a $30AU charge. If you're not fast you're last! We didn't have breakfast at the hotel because there are plenty of nearby options. A few gripes though: 1) the desk staff were not the most welcoming and could be a little abrupt in the interactions we experienced. Communication breakdowns occurred a few times. Was it because English was a second language for those on the desk...? Possibly. But that's not uncommon. 2) the window in our room was leaking, and with recent heavy rain, had created a puddle on the carpet which had started to turn moldy. Not the healthiest for guests to be breathing mold spores! We reported this to house-keeping who, quite frankly, didn't appear to care at all. I'm 50/50 on whether I would stay again.

We came in at 6am. Of course we understand we were too early and was willing to pay for early check in. However the charge was AUD259 so we refused. 2 hours later, after we refreshened up and wanted to leave the luggage at hotel to go to our customer meetings, another staff told us the early check in charge would be AUD100. If we were offered AUD 100 earlier, we would have taken up the offer.

Excellent choice of hotel for a visit to Perth. Couldn't fault cleanliness, quality of room or friendliness of staff. Very conveniently situated to explore Perth. Coffee shops very close by as well as an assortment of restaurants within walking distance. Fully recommend and would stay there again

Unfortunately this was a disappointment from beginning to end. On check in I was told the main restaurant had closed (at 8pm?) but the rooftop bar was open until 10pm. So I was disappointed to go to the rooftop at 9:05pm to be told they are closed! Next day on my return from some site seeing I'm told that the rooftop bar (which was one of the main reasons I had booked the hotel) was closed again this time for a private party. This could have been relayed on their website to help ease disappointment. So I go up to my room just after 4pm to find it the same as I left it. Reception told me that the room wasn't cleaned because of the do not disturb sign but that was only on there whilst I was asleep (4am - 10am). And it got no better....to find out that the front desk receptionist was actually the manager and all he did was offer me a free shower gel for my inconvenience was disappointing. I asked for a late check out (bearing in mind for most European's 10am is early and 12 is normal). I was offered a 1 hour extension to 11am but they did cut off my internet access for the last hour...wrong instructions to a local restaurant which was just around the corner and the little things just went on and on. Overall just not a pleasant stay

Every interaction we had with staff from check in, dining and check out was polite and courteous. Our room was spacious, clean and quiet. The bed was comfortable and we had a great night's sleep. We had parking nearby and were able to walk a short distance to the entertainment centre. We would definitely stay here again.

Was a nice, clean hotel. Language barrier made things difficult on arrival. Thought it was a bit strange that we paid for an upgraded room with a king size bed and ended up with 2 single beds pushed together that weren't quite the same height, not ideal.

Unfortunately, I didn’t have the best experience during my stay. I requested for my room to be cleaned, but when I returned, it hadn’t been attended to. I called housekeeping and requested that my room be cleaned as I needed fresh towels and toilet paper. They called me back to inform me that someone would attend to it shortly. However, 30 minutes later, a team member arrived, but instead of cleaning the room, they only handed me towels and toilet paper. When I spoke to the housekeeping staff member, I kindly asked for clean glasses and coffee mugs as well, which should have been part of the room cleaning. This was quite disappointing, as I had hoped for a more thorough service. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Property is in the Free Transit Zone, which facilitates you getting around the city centre. Should you wish to rent a car, a couple of companies are just around the corner. Chargeable parking is available at the hotel, and also in the area. There are a number of dining options in the area so there is no need to worry about what to eat. The hotel’s location, does not have nightclubs that blast music into the night. The room came with minor signs of wear and tear but it’s generally acceptable to me for this price point. Front desk staff during my stay were smiley and friendly.

This was my third visit to the Melbourne Hotel and I consider it my favourite place to stay in the city. We stayed this time whilst seeing Culture Club at the RAC Arena. It's easy walking distance and felt safe late at night to return to. Also, the front desk is manned 24 hours. I love the fusion of old and new architecture at the Melbourne and it's affordable 5 star luxury. Highly recommended!

Conveniently located at the edge of the CBD where it's possible to walk to various attractions (not far from Elizabeth Quay). Was able to pick up our rental car just round the corner and enjoyed relatively cheaper parking with the hotel's discount voucher for a nearby parking garage. Property is a restored heritage building and does have some vintage appeal. rooms and amenities are modern and more than sufficient for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

This is the second time I have stayed here. Rooms are very nicely updated. Only complaint is TV needs apple connect with TV so can stream my shows. Currently only allows Samsung tech. I got around that with the laptop, so not a huge deal. More notably, they have some great food options here which is convenient to say the least. I was shocked at how they upped the game in the pub food, breakfast and Raman since my last visit. Really fantastic fresh and tasty food. The chef is on top of it! And I didn’t even try their signature dining Chinese restaurant… The location is just off the busy areas and easy access to the botanical gardens which is really nice walking/exercise which I took advantage of on multiple occasions. I see no reason to go elsewhere for my business in Perth. I will be back.

The hotel is beautiful!! The staff are friendly and very welcoming. My room was amazing!! Thank you to everyone that made my stay so enjoyable. Breakfast was delicious and the coffee is sooooo good.

Unfortunately this was a disappointment from beginning to end. On check in I was told the main restaurant had closed (at 8pm?) but the rooftop bar was open until 10pm. So I was disappointed to go to the rooftop at 9:05pm to be told they are closed! Next day on my return from some site seeing I'm told that the rooftop bar (which was one of the main reasons I had booked the hotel) was closed again this time for a private party. This could have been relayed on their website to help ease disappointment. So I go up to my room just after 4pm to find it the same as I left it. Reception told me that the room wasn't cleaned because of the do not disturb sign but that was only on there whilst I was asleep (4am - 10am). And it got no better....to find out that the front desk receptionist was actually the manager and all he did was offer me a free shower gel for my inconvenience was disappointing. I asked for a late check out (bearing in mind for most European's 10am is early and 12 is normal). I was offered a 1 hour extension to 11am but they did cut off my internet access for the last hour...wrong instructions to a local restaurant which was just around the corner and the little things just went on and on. Overall just not a pleasant stay

Return visit to this hotel. Good location, easy walk to main shopping centre, bus and train stations. Within walking distance of Elizabeth Quay. Stayed Saturday and Sunday nights. Sunday was disappointing as both the bar area and restaurant were closed. Breakfast choices very limited and no proper dining area. On the positive side the staff were pleasant and helpful, the room very clean and the bed comfortable. Parking expensive at $30 a night.

Unfortunately, I got an interior room, the window of the room faced the patio and reception, the toilet seat was broken, the leather of the sofa was torn, there were 2 single beds pushed together so it was impossible to sleep in the center - the hotel with its rating and score attracted us, we were 5 different people for business purposes, everyone came out very disappointed. When I asked to change rooms, I was told that there was nothing that could be done about it since the hotel was full - there may be more reasonable rooms, but the rooms through a third party are probably the worst by default. I have never been to a hotel with a score of 9 and above and been disappointed as I was here.
