The perfect location. It's a 1 min walk from the ferry. Very close to the bars, restaurants, and beach. It was very noisy. Very nice room only thing needed was a coffee machine. Staff was very pleasant and personable. They will hold your bag after checking out, so you can continue to enjoy the beach and pool.

One side of the hotel faces a pool and a bar both of which play super loud music all day and most of the night. If you are old (like me) and don't stay up super late or want to be able to take an afternoon nap, ask for a room on the non-pool side of the hotel. The location is perfect and the staff is really great and friendly!

We had a wonderful vacation at the Grove Hotel. We stayed 2 nights in 2 rooms with 3 ladies and 3 gentlemen. Everyone had a good time. Rooms are clean, beds are comfortable, staff is friendly and inviting. We enjoyed an afternoon poolside with drinks from the bar, followed by coffee at the bar in the morning. You can rent umbrellas and chairs for the beach from the store if you don't bring your own. Spending the night in Cherry Grove is the best!

Room was EXCEPTIONALLY clean. Shower was a little small. The staff was constantly cleaning the hallways. The long hallways got a little noisy. A/C worked well. TV wasn't great - couldn't really figure out how to work it completely. Two full beds was plenty of room for two people. Convenient to the ferry. Kind of noisy because of the club but I kind of knew that going into it.

it was a one night day check-in process was easy. The complementary bag check really helps you when you arrive early and wanna explore the island. Access to the beach with complementary towels. Very noisy because of the club, but that’s to be expected if you’re booking this place. The shower door in the room was impossible to open without spraying water all over the floor. so there are a few details that have been overlooked but overall the renovation, custom samuelson furniture, and overall experience are well worth the price.

A wonderful stay in a wonderful hotel. Thank you so much. I hope we’re back some day. Overall feed back is positive. Points to note: the aircon in our room was very noisy and we didn’t get housekeeping (but we were only there for 2 nights so didn’t really matter). We didn’t mention either point as we weren’t overly bothered!

Great spot for an easy stay in the Grove. I wanted a spur of the moment short mid-week stay. Very affordable, clean and convenient to everything - beach, store, entertainment. Recently remodeled with modern materials. The bed was very comfortable. I asked for a room on the side away from the Ice Palace and I was not disturbed by club noise. Next time I would probably ask for a room on the second floor to avoid the sounds of footsteps overhead.

First time staying in Cherry Grove after years in the Pines. Was excited to have a different scene. Hotel was ok, you can tell it had been updated recently. Hotel is connected to the Ice Palace, so at night you could hear and feel the music, they do supply earplugs which helped a lot since I get up early. The walls are very thin so you can hear everything around you, it felt like a dorm, people having a great time and screaming in the hallway at all hours. Ended up leaving a day early, it was stormy so no beach & wifi/ chrome cast to tv was not working.

Room is simple and clean,…it’s a great place for a weekend or short stay, but it’s pretty challenging if you’re the kind of person that does a little work on vacation. The TV only works if you cast from your phone,.. internet connection is spotty and if you change a channel it disconnects and takes 10-15 minutes to get back on,..

What a stay! Personal and professional staff and welcome. Great rooms and even though the nightlife is just outside the door you can still get a great sleep without getting disturbed if thats what ypu prefer. Minutes from the beach, great food and shopping and everything else Cherry Grove has to offer. We will chose this hotel again every summer!

Front staff and housekeeping are terrific. The hotel is completing major renovations - and so no pool access and ongoing renovations at the current time (which they let you know upfront). Just completed our 3rd stay so far this season - and will be back.

Beautiful decking around the pool with the cheapest tacky plastic furniture you could buy. Shower area by pool old, dirty and needs to be replaced. One end of the pool area in the back filled with trash. A hose is needed by the entrance to the hotel to rinse sand off your feet. Maybe have a set up for coffee in the morning.

Lounge chairs around pool like lying on a bed of nails, very uncomfortable. Would be nice to have coffee in the morning, maybe in the ice room. I know it would be hard to compete with Floyd's, but maybe some breakfast or lunch options.

Haven’t been back to Fire Island in years; it hasn’t changed as much as I would have thought. Spent my summers at Sailors Haven and different towns on the Island; always had fun in Cherry Grove. Stayed during the shoulder season, but the weather and beach was superb. Dining opportunities were better than most of the other towns out here this time of the year. The Sand Castle was our “go to” dinner location and their food never disappointed. D afternoon drinks at Island Breeze and The Tiki Bar were excellent, and of course, the entertainment at the Ice Palace was a ton of fun! The hotel is conveniently located to the dock, the beach, restaurants and entertainment; you can’t ask for a more convenient location. One note re: the hotel; be sure to request linen changes and new towels. It’s not provided unless you specifically request a service!

Excellent room- plenty charger outlets bedside. Great beds , Netflix on tv, huge pool and nice staff. Only ding for ne as an early riser is there is absolutely nowhere to get coffee until 8am when the hotel coffee bar opens. No in room coffee option Already booked another stay for next week!
