A beautiful setting in the middle of nowhere. Use google not mapquest to get there. There is nothing around you however you can walk the orchard which is very nice especially in the evening. Spa is closed. Looks as if it was never open. Don’t rely on the video they publish. Ok. Rooms are spacious with odd glass bathrooms you’ll be on display when showering. Bed pillows are shockingly flat, the AC remote near impossible to use, the tv is something you’d put out to the curb if it was yours and if you’re lucky to have a Mt. Etna view be prepared for the early wake up call of trains literally running a 100 or so feet from your window. They run every 30 minutes between 5 am and 11 pm. The furniture around the pool while beautiful to look at is extremely uncomfortable to sit on. Now the good. Staff is lovely. They are all trying hard as if they’re trying to make up for some of these deficiencies. The restaurant is Michelin starred and it shows. The meals we had there were as good as it gets in Sicily. Breakfasts were above normal. In summary I would still recommend the hotel. The historic renovated building and the grounds are exceptional.

Nos encantó Zash. Después de pasar el día turisteando, era delicioso regresar y simplemente descansar. La habitación súper amplia y cómoda, y el lugar en general transmite mucha paz. El restaurante con estrella Michelin fue un plus increíble. Nos gustó mucho la experiencia y definitivamente regresaríamos.

Very good value, excellent food, very helpful staff, beautiful surrounding. My only niggle was a noisy event at the pool on our final night. Highly recommended!

Hidden gem for a relaxing stay. Rooms luxurious and relaxing pool area with views of the Mt Etna and the coastline. Restaurant in a beautiful stone room and dinner incredible We had an amazing stay and would definitely recommend to people
