O bar está péssimo há anos, digo o bar da piscina, não pelos atendentes pois fazem o quê podem, mas pelo o quê é oferecido, tudo de baixa qualidadee ainda com pitada de usura, nenhuma infraestrutura condizente com serviços de bebidas e drinks, não há freezer e geladeiras suficientes, tudo quente, recipientes para gelo inexistentes, não há capinhas ou camisinhas para cervejas e bebidas geladas, até as sombrinhas de sol na piscina foram retiradas, tudo isto acontecendo com baixíssima DEMANDA, imagine com seria em procura total, enfim um verdadeiro horror.

This hotel doesn’t deserve its five-star rating and needs serious renovation. It’s a massive property overrun with noisy tourists and families. Pros: Spacious, comfortable room. Friendly staff. Cons: Slow, undersized elevators. Restaurant feels like a cruise ship cafeteria. You must cross a busy highway to reach the beach (with long traffic light waits), and there’s no beach service. Severely understaffed with long check-in/check-out lines. Staff is compartmentalized and inefficient despite being helpful. Verdict: Skip it unless you’re on a tight budget. In summary, very disappointing. Marketing photos are a lie, no umbrellas by the pool, no sunbeds or umbrellas on the beach. We asked the duty manager and they claimed that they can't have umbrellas by the pool due to the wind but hotels opposite with the same level rooftop pools have them and from old photos it appears this hotel used to have them. He also claimed the ones on the lower level have broken. Like so many things in this hotel it appears hotel management are unwilling to invest in replacing old and broken things. The rooms are looking very old and worn, with mould on the ceiling of the bathroom, and clearly haven't been updated in 20 years. The level of cleaning isn't great which makes it worse. Level of service and room amenities are also poor: had to call 3 times for a baby cot bed and iron for the room, and no coffee/tea making facilities in the rooms. I don't understand how this hotel can be classified 4* without basic amenities and such old/worn decor. Also don't bother trying to order food at the rooftop pool as it takes over an hour when it's busy, despite them saying 15mins, and they don't keep track of who ordered first so don't be surprised if someone else orders after you but gets their food sooner. A huge shame as the location is amazing. The hotel could make a lot more money if they were willing to invest.

Hotel muito bom, atendimento diferenciado, ótima localização na Barra, fornecem toalhas para a praia e piscina, café da manhã muito bom. O único porém foi o banheiro do meu quarto, acho que merece uma modernizada e havia uns pontos de mofo no box da banheira. Mesmo assim eu recomento.

Gosto muito do windsor barra, pela sua localização , café da manhã e atendimento. Desta vez notei que a limpeza diária das acomodações estava deixando a desejar, uma limpeza muito superficial!! Apenas tiravam o lixo, trocava as toalhas e arrumavam a cama. Outra coisa que os hotéis 5 estrelas normalmente fazem na orla da Barra é a disponibilidade de barracas e cadeiras para a praia cujo o windsor barra parou de disponibilizar desde a pandemia. Isto era um diferencial dos demais…
Gosto muito do windsor barra, pela sua localização , café da manhã e atendimento. Desta vez notei que a limpeza diária das acomodações estava deixando a desejar, uma limpeza muito superficial!! Buena ubicación al frente de la playa y desayuno variado. Pero mi cuarto tuvo una gotera que empozó el agua en la entrada y en el baño. No pude descansar porque tuve que llamar más de una vez para que lo limpien y luego que venga mantenimiento y haga reparaciones y estuve abriendo y cerrando la puerta porque entraban y salían. Al final siguió goteando pero menos y la señorita de limpieza dejó muchas toallas en el suelo que dijo que luego llevarían pero nunca volvieron por ellas. Al final lo reporté nuevamente y solo me dijeron que hablarían con mantenimiento para que vean su reparación después. También el cargo que hicieron a mi tarjeta de crédito al ingreso de 600 reales que era de garantía, aún 2 días después no se ha revertido y aparte me cobraron los 200 reales más de consumo

O Windsor Barra ainda merece muitas estrelas, pois, na média, ainda é muito superior aos outros hoteis da região. Tem excelente estrutura e atendimento pessoal de qualidade superior. Porém, é importante pontuar que os quartos (ao menos o que ocupamos) já sinalizam necessidade de reforma. Nosso banheiro tinha um vazamento enorme que alagava tudo após o banho. Quatro tomadas não funcionavam. Os vidros impediam a vista do mar, pois estavam danificados por alguma mancha. Os travesseiros estão muito ruins, também.

Very clean place. Very safe, lots of staff and had no problems with anyone in the area. AC doesn’t go below 25 C so it was a little hot for us. Laundry service was $$$ so don’t recommend for that. Area is well maintained and about 40 mins to 1 hour depending on traffic to center of Rio.

Check in antecipado realizado de forma rápida e prática, equipe foi bem atenciosa! Quarto deixou muito a desejar em relação a qualidade da rede Windsor. Banheiro sem box, apenas cortina, muitas marcas de bolor no teto, além de porta quebrada e sem tranca. Colchão mole que afundava ao deitar, ou seja, um colchão velho. TV antiga onde não possuía nem opção para Smart TV, somente canais abertos. Fiquei decepcionado com o quarto. A estrutura do hotel é excelente, piscina aquecida, atendimento do Staff ótimo além do café da manhã muito bem servido.

Not sure why Expedia displays this hotel as a 5 stars. I would give it 3.5-4 starts tops. WiFi connection at the hotel is absolutely awful. It’s super slow (whenever works) and it drops every 5 minutes. I complained to the staff and reception and they couldn’t do anything to fix it. The toilet doesn’t work well either. No power or pressure. You flush it and not even your urine goes down until you flush it a few times lol. Hotel is in front of the beach but rooms have no balcony lol. The bedroom has a nice bed, shower is also nice, breakfast descent. This hotel is not a 5 stars lol. If you need WiFi for your computer, something more important than just navigating for pleasire, beware it won’t work here ‘

No momento do check-in, solicitei que o café da manhã fosse disponibilizado um pouco mais cedo no dia da minha saída, uma vez que meu voo estava marcado para antes do horário habitual de serviço. The staff here were not hospitable, and seemed to not like English-speaking guests (when they themselves spoke English). For instance, my room's safe did not work on the second day. When I called down for assistance, I was put on hold and hung up on *twice*. When I visited the desk to say the wi-fi in my room did not work, they said I needed to go to my room and dial 9 - when they could have just done this from their own phone. No one explains the beach towel pick-up clearly. And then, they will tell you they can book a tour for you, but when we asked them to on our way out, we came back at the end of the day and given a card, telling us we could book it ourselves. Also, we had been to breakfast four times before we were offered made -to-order options; no one bothered to tell us and it isn't obvious. As for the room, decently equipped, but how can a beachfront hotel have no place to hang a wet suit in your room? Rugs was stained, sheets were coarse and not comfortable.

Very clean place. Very safe, lots of staff and had no problems with anyone in the area. AC doesn’t go below 25 C so it was a little hot for us. Laundry service was $$$ so don’t recommend for that. Area is well maintained and about 40 mins to 1 hour depending on traffic to center of Rio.

Hotel muito bem localizado, em frente à praia com vários restaurantes perto. Destaco o Restaurante Fratelli que fica ao lado. Restaurante italiano com excelente ambiente e comida. Hotel tem rápido atendimento, boa limpeza, boa cama. Café da manhã muito bom com muitas variedades. Área da piscina no terraço muito aconchegante, com uma enorme piscina. Recomendo e voltaria. :)

The executive room was not very much to my liking, too small, and the bathroom is outdated; however, I somewhat settled because of everything else that was good.
