I thought this hotel was fantastic and the staff could not do enough for you. The hotel is close to the beach, bus and metro stations and the infinity pool is to die for with the views of Copacabana beach and sugar loaf mountain. My only complaints would be the lack of equipment choice in the gym and the lack of beds by the pool, otherwise no complaints and certainly a great choice of hotel.

This hotel was beautifully decorated, had amazing views and lovely facilities. We stayed for 7 nights and the staff were friendly and attentive. The food was excellent with a range of choices for breakfast. Our room was perfectly clean and the bed was comfortable. The rooftop pool/bar is a lovely place to relax, eat and drink with gorgeous views. You can walk across the road outside and you’re immediately on Copacabana Beach where the hotel provides free beach chairs, towels and a parasol for guests. While on the beach, the hotel handed out free pots of fruit which was a lovely touch. It was easy to get a taxi/ Uber from the hotel at all times. Staying at this hotel played a huge part in making our holiday fun and relaxing.

Very convenient location for the beach just across the street . Excellent staff and service. Nice rooms . I didn’t like that it doesn’t have a separate dedicated area on the beach but just all public beach . The pool is very very small .

The hotel didn’t meet expectations for this price. Elevators were noisy day and night, waking us up, and staff showed little concern when we reported it. Cleaning was ok but corners were dirty and floors needed mopping. Poor shower design and a bathtub with a whirlpool that turned on by itself. Good but crowded restaurant. Great location. Room keys failed repeatedly. Overall ok, but in clear need of renovation.

This hotel is truly not worth the 5*. When we arrived at the hotel, the staff were really nice. But after we arrived in our room, i was shocked that the photos on the website, were not the same pictures as the room was. So when i called the reception and explained everything, they gave us the option to the room we truly booked. That was fine. But the beds are disgusting, old and dirty. The shower had mold. Needed slippers to step in the shower. After all, my partner and myself have had a food poisoning from the restaurant of the hotel. We have contacted the reception about this case, they did there best to help us, and gave us coconut water, and advice to get the best medicines in the pharmacy near the hotel. The service manager, told me (when they brought the coconut water) that we were not the only one who were sick of the food. Wel, that was the moment i wanted to leave the hotel as quick as possible. We stayed for 7days, and only 4days we were able to enjoy some things in Rio, because we where sick, and staying in bed for the rest of our stay. We are often in Rio de Janeiro for business trips, and wanted to try other 5star hotels in Rio, but sadly this one was maybe good for 3 stars. Nothing to say about the staff, they were very friendly, and willing.

Great location on the beach. Everything in the room functions correctly and the AC was reasonably quiet. The standard of maid service was below our expectations such as cleaning the room and making of the bed. This is the first time I have stayed in a hotel and you had to pay for a coffee pod.

The hotel is conveniently located across the street from the beach, ioffers a wide variety of food in the breakfast buffet, has a pool on the high floor to take pictures, thus deserving a couple of stars. HALLWAY: The carpet is old, dirty, stained, pieces of small trashs. Smell of mold in the air. ROOM: The "white" towels were VERY old, darken with stained. They didnt made the bed on 1st night. Got to put a daily tip for the bed to be made. Sink was never cleaned. RESTAURANT: One morning, I saw a server took a napkin to clean a spill from the floor, proced to use the same cloth to wipe the buffet table, the milk container and the container spout. Very disturbingly grosse. POOL: oh i wouldn't advise you step into the cloudy water in the pool. Its not a 4/5 star hotel by ANY standard, maybe a 2 star. So bring your own clean towel, dont expect room cleaning, pay attention on where you step, be smart in selecting the buffet food, then you will be ok. The hotel didnt provide a basic standard: clean room and towels .. its sad.

Miramar is in excellent condition for her age. She was renovated a few years ago and everything was done very well. The showers are amazing. Water pressure is fantastic. The service is top notch. We loved the breakfast. The pool area is lovely. A little small for too many people - and it doesn’t matter because the beach is great too. The view can’t be beat. The walls are nice and thick since it’s an old building and we didn’t hear much noise from our neighbors or from the street. We were on the eighth floor. There is a metro station a few blocks in from the beach and the metro is clean and safe. We had a great time and will be back to stay at the Miramar. Miramar is part of what made our stay in the marvelous city wonderful and memorable. Muito Obrigada!

The hotel was in a great location and we loved both the pool area and breakfast. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. The rooms were a little old and rundown, especially the bathroom which could do with modernisation.

The staff is absolutely outstanding! Everyone (doormen, reception, breakfast, bar...) goes out of their way to make sure you’re taken care of — they even offered me a raincoat when it suddenly started pouring. We stayed in a ‘superior’ room on the 10th floor: the view was lovely. The room is spacious and quiet (we couldn't hear any noise coming from the road below, which was nice) with everything you might need: slippers, toiletries, a hairdryer, an extra duvet… The shower is large and the water pressure is excellent. Three downsides: the rug under the bed isn't really clean — I think removing it would make the room nicer. The minibar fridge was too noisy (a constant background hum that never stopped, which was really annoying). And the TV wasn’t a Smart TV, so there was no way to connect to Netflix or other streaming services. Breakfast was varied and delicious, with plenty of juices, savory and sweet options. The rooftop is stunning and the food is good. The pool is small, but more than enough for this time of year (late September). We were able to check out two hours later than scheduled, which helped us a lot. Many thanks to everyone for such a warm welcome.

Personalen hade väldigt hög service nivå och var väldigt professionella, så 5 stjärnor till personalen. Läget var väldigt bra! Uppskattat med solstolar och parasoll! Bra frukost! Poolen på taket kändes inte så ren/fräsch, kanske på grund av smutsiga turister eller något annat. AC i rummet låter ganska mycket och gick inte att ställa in lägre kyla, så antingen blev det för kallt eller som avstängd blev det för varmt

Hotel staff was wonderful. Nicolas at the reception was very helpful and accommodating, Leonardo at the restaurant remembered what we wanted to drink and was so kind and attentive during our stay, Matheus, the bell boy, was very helpful and Pedro, at the pool bar, was friendly and provided us an excellent service late night. Breakfast was delicious, and offered many healthy options and lot of variety. Location couldn't be any better. We enjoyed our stay!

Nicolas at the reception was very helpful and accommodating, Leonardo at the restaurant remembered what we wanted to drink and was so kind and attentive during our stay, Matheus, the bell boy, was very helpful and Pedro, at the pool bar, was friendly and provided us an excellent service late night. Breakfast was delicious, and offered many healthy options and lot of variety. Location couldn't be any better. We enjoyed our stay!

We stayed here 2 years ago and we had a wonderful time . This time, it did not feel as good . The staff generally appeared less attentive - reception staff very rarely acknowledged or greeted you when you came into reception lobby, the rooftop bar staff were again not very attentive and at times even disgruntled to be serving us . Which is a shame as the hotel has the potential to be something amazing . 2 years ago it had that buzz and it was a really lovely place to stay. This time we were sorely disappointed

Ideally situated on the beachfront roughly at the point where Copacabana and Ipanema meet. Excellent service with modern, clean rooms and surrounded by restaurants, bars and more. It has a great restaurant in the ground floor and rooftop pool. Staff are very thoughtful and accommodating and the hospitality was excellent. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would certainly stay again.

On Av. Atlantica, the beach street in Copacabana. Could not have been a better location for beach access. Staff was amazing, restaurant was excellent, property was very nice. Only complaint is that the streets behind the hotel are OK but no trendy places, have to go elsewhere to enjoy nice shopping and restaurants. But, if you don't mind walking, it's walkable.

Hotel is right in front of Copacabana and walkable distance to ipanema beach , area has lots of options for dinning and bars, area felt safe. Staff at the hotel is friendly and attentive , the views from roof top bar are amazing, I highly recommend this hotel.

Great hotel right on Copacabana beach. Get a room with a sea view for beautiful views every morning. Nice rooftop pool where you can eat, drink, chill and swim with views of the beach. I didn't opt for breakfast. Aye in the Italian restaurant for lunch which was also very good. Overall a great stay.

We had a phenomenal time at Miramar. It was a very comfortable hotel with a beautiful pool and bar/restaurant on the roof overlooking the Copacabana Beach - a spectacular view! Also the service was very good at the hotel with a delicious chocolate tray in our rooms when we arrived. Also the chairs/umbrellas on the beach added a great touch to the experience of Copacabana Beach! Truly a great stay - thank you!

This hotel was beautifully decorated, had amazing views and lovely facilities. We stayed for 7 nights and the staff were friendly and attentive. The food was excellent with a range of choices for breakfast. Our room was perfectly clean and the bed was comfortable. The rooftop pool/bar is a lovely place to relax, eat and drink with gorgeous views. You can walk across the road outside and you’re immediately on Copacabana Beach where the hotel provides free beach chairs, towels and a parasol for guests. While on the beach, the hotel handed out free pots of fruit which was a lovely touch. It was easy to get a taxi/ Uber from the hotel at all times. Staying at this hotel played a huge part in making our holiday fun and relaxing.

This is the best hotel in Rio. Exceptional service and good facilities for a medium size hotel in a central location by Copacabana beach. Their breakfast buffet and service is the best I have had anywhere. The Alloro restaurant is an excellent Italian restaurant with fine cuisine and fair prices for the quality and service. I stay at this hotel 3 times a year for business and have never been disappointed.

The Air conditioning made a noise our entire stay. I did notify front desk but nothing was done. The door is too heavy to close quietly. I dined at the restaurant and waited over an 1.5 hours for the food to be served. There were 6 of us at the table and 5 of us ordered at once and still waited for the entire dinner to be served, the food was good some things were room temperature not hot or cold. Not sure why they chose to wait until we asked for our dinner. My husband had something that didn’t agree with him and was sick for the rest of the night. The hotel was nice for the most part, friendly staff and very accommodating.
