Extremely friendly staff. Manager of hotel is 10 star guy! Gorgeous views and the hotel is run with true professional service. Shuttles all day long down to local retail shops. The great reviews and fair price is why I selected them. Pool was great! You will not be disappointed!

Nice hotel in a beautiful setting outside of Sorrento. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice room overlooking the pool and with the sea in the distance. Great breakfast included. There is a restaurant in the hotel but it is a very short walk (10 minutes) to a nearby hill town with a variety of restaurant options. Nice pool (although not heated). On-site parking was available.

What a beautiful stay from beginning to end. We miss it already! Perfectly wonderful staff. The manager was most helpful and went an extra mile to always help with information. Breakfast was great and shuttle extremely helpful. We hope to be back

We had a great stay in the Villa Romita portion of the hotel. I enjoyed walking the path lined with rosemary, lavender and olive trees down to the hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and greeted us by name as we entered the hotel. Anytime we needed assistance they were able to help us and did so with a smile. The breakfast had a wide selection of options which met both mine and my husband’s needs. We definitely utilized the free shuttle bus into Sorrento which was easy to locate and schedule with the front desk. The view from the pool was incredible; the pool itself was nice and refreshing. Our room was cool after hours in the hot sun and it was always clean. We were able to enjoy a late afternoon drink on our balcony overlooking Sorrento, normally with a nice breeze. We liked the quietness of the location but enjoyed the proximity to Sorrento and its port. We would definitely stay here again.

Our stay here was fantastic. The staff are incredible. Helpful and kind, nothing is too much, and always had time for you. The location is out of town, however they run a free shuttle bus in and out of Sorrento pretty much all day everyday on the hour, so it's not an issue. There is a lovely little village called St Agata, 5 min walk away, with restaurants and shops. The food and drinks are reasonably priced and the breakfast is very good, plentiful and lots of choice. I don't normally eat breakfast but I def recommend this. Our room had everything we would need, a little dated but very clean. The pool area was clean and plenty of sunbeds, towels provided. Food and drink available all day. I would absolutely recommend this hotel.

One of the best views . The view of Naples Bay is incredible. Perched on the hillside gives one a wonderful view . The staff were great . They sent the shuttle for outside the schedule.would definitely recommend . The Expresso Martini at the bar is sublime.

We really enjoyed our stay, thank you! A great place to choose when touring the Amalfi coast. The free shuttle to Sorrento is a fantastic amenity. The breakfast was great (served 07:00-10:00 - we couldn't find that info in the listing or other reviews). We would definitely stay here again!

Great hotel with on site restaurant! We had a view on sea and Vesuvius from our balcony. Food was delicious. The hotel had a free shuttle to Sorrento. The pool was a plus. Rooms are spacious and clean. We had a great time staying there. I would definitely recommend this hotel

We had an absolutely amazing stay here. It was so peaceful and quiet with the most amazing views of Mt. Vesuvius. The staff were super helpful and friendly with all recommendations. The rooms were quite large with beautiful tile floors and a large balcony. The 10 minute walk into the village was a beautiful little nature walk and the village itself was the perfect location for dinners (try Bueno Aires Ristorante) and to grab a few fresh fruits and coffee etc.. We liked the peaceful atmosphere opposed to the hustle and bustle of Sorrento but liked that they had a shuttle that runs quite often to take you to the heart of Sorrento. The breakfast was also a great bonus with lots of options for food, coffee, and juices. The pool was a little too chilly for our stay but we happily enjoyed some sun next to it. We would highly recommend this hotel and would love to return one day 🇨🇦🇨🇦

We stayed at the villas, the facility is very old, dont have elevator, matress and pillows are not good, rooms are very clean and breakfast is really good a lot to choose bur if you stay longer be prepared to eat the same, there is space for parking and they have shuttle to Sorrento, the staff was not so friendly but in overall is ok

We were very pleased with our stay! From the second we pulled up, after a long road trip and arriving close to midnight, the staff was so hospitable. Helping us bring our luggage in while it was pouring rain. Past the entrance doors we were greeted by the most gracious reception members and we felt at ease immediately. My husband and i are very low key, low maintenance type of travelers and love to do what the locals do, the concierge (so sad we forgot his name) was the friendliest, with the best recommendations and helped our stay be spectacular. Sadly we got colder weather so didn’t get a chance to enjoy the pool but the views from our sea view room was amazing!! We will definitely book a stay here again and recommend to all who are looking to visit the area! Room was clean and to our humble liking :) thank you so much to the Hermitage for a wonderful stay!

Overall a great hotel. It’s 25 minutes from the main town but with free shuttle bus. Ten minute walk to a small town with lovely restaurants and bars at half the price of restaurants in Sorrento. Staff are friendly. Spotless rooms.

This is a special hotel , staff can’t do enough for you . Is outside of Sorrento on hill however hotel provides shuttle bus and bus stop just outside hotel, never struggled with getting around Fantastic village sant Agata 10 minute walk from hotel bars with restaurants and Orlando must visit . . Manage to do Capri, Positano, Pompei and Sorrento all from this location . Only negative for me was bed too hard .

Very professional and polite staff. Excellent breakfast. We stayed in the villa. The room was very basic. Shower was very small and easy to flood the floor due to only a pull-around curtain. But there was a very nice and spacious common area.

Overall a good experience with awesome views of Serranto. Located 20-25 minutes from the City Center by car, the hotel does provide a shuttle to and from the City Center. The property & rooms are a little tired looking and the TV was smaller than my computer screen at home. However, the best part of this property was an unexpected surprise - just a 10 minute nature trail walk away you’ll discover a charming little village (Massa Lubrense) We had the best meals at very reasonable prices at Buenos Aires Pizzeria restaurant.

While the Grand Hermitage may have lost some of its original splendor, it has not lost any of its hospitality, incredibly attentive staff and amazing views (be sure to book a balcony room). If you are looking for a flashy hotel with modern appointments, this is not the place for you. The hotel is about 15 minutes from downtown Sorrento, but has a shuttle that provides service during certain hours of the day. Some updates could be made (a little more comfortable beds for example), but the charm of the place more than makes up for a fancy door handle or light fixture.

We had a lovely time at this hotel, the staff was very accommodating in all your needs. The town that is close is friendly. The hotel dud great booking the tours, it was so easy- we did a boat tour, positano at night and Pompei Renato is excellent -

Is outside of Sorrento on hill however hotel provides shuttle bus and bus stop just outside hotel, never struggled with getting around Fantastic village sant Agata 10 minute walk from hotel bars with restaurants and Orlando must visit . . Manage to do Capri, Positano, Pompei and Sorrento all from this location . Only negative for me was bed too hard .

Excellent séjour à l’hôtel Hermitage. L’hôtel est un peu kitsch, mais c’est ce qui fait son charme. La vue sur la baie de Naples et fantastique, c’est un régal chaque matin. Petit déjeuner très complet et avec des produits de qualité. On pourrait peut-être juste améliorer la qualité des jus de fruits. La piscine est très agréable, avec suffisamment de chaises longues, et, à la période où nous étions, très peu de monde, le personnel est adorable, en particulier, Gloria, qui était d’une très grande gentillesse et de très bons conseils, je recommande vraiment car nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour pour les 60 ans de mon épouse

Great hotel with on site restaurant! We had a view on sea and Vesuvius from our balcony. Food was delicious. The hotel had a free shuttle to Sorrento. The pool was a plus. Rooms are spacious and clean. We had a great time staying there. I would definitely recommend this hotel

The dinners could have been a little better quality. Breakfast great and staff fantastic! Water should be replaced daily instead of charging for cans for 2nd day.

Beautiful view of Sorrento and Mount Vesuvius from this stylish hotel. A charming village with restaurants and shops is less than a 10-minute walk away. They also offer a shuttle to Sorrento hourly, running back and forth. The rooms are quite comfortable with ample space.

We had a wonderful July stay at the Grand Hotel Hermitage & Villa Romita with our 8‑year‑old daughter. This beautiful, traditional family‑run hotel is spotless, well maintained, and full of charm. We were greeted warmly in the car park by Renato and Giovanni, and throughout our stay William, Gloria, and the team made sure we were comfortable and happy. Communication before our trip was excellent, and the hotel kindly upgraded us to a room with a balcony offering breathtaking views of the pool, Sorrento, and Mount Vesuvius. The waiting staff were fantastic — patient, friendly, and happy to let me practise my Italian. Head Waiter Salvatore and his team were incredibly attentive. A special mention goes to Tony, who made our stay even more enjoyable, looking after us at the pool, during meals, and in the evenings. The food is delicious and very reasonably priced — the club sandwich is a must‑try. A truly memorable stay with exceptional hospitality.
