Ramada Bristol West

It was a great stay accept for the carpark, it’s tiny and the overflow carpark was as well. It wasn’t obvious where you had to go if you couldn’t park in the hotel spaces - ended up parking in the normal services car park and walking round to the front. Not a major issue, but for those less mobile or disabled it isn’t ideal

Arrived around 9pm on a Sunday to no parking in the hotel car park or overflow so back round the roundabout to the main car park, no biggy but no signs up either to say where else to park. On check in had to pay £5 for parking which had not been mentioned at booking, bit cheeky given other guests do not have to pay. Food & bar area perfectly adequate. Room spacious & comfortable. Its handy for the M5, has parking for vans & trailers and affordable too so perfectly pleasant stay.

Hotels.com states on site-parking available but doesn't make it clear there is a £5 charge. Manager gave me a free pint to compensate me, so service was excellent. Room is spacious. Hotel is a little tired.

No car parking for disabled available, car and van parked on the only two disabled space with no disabled badge on display!! Was told by receptionist that we could park in main car park and give in our registration at the desk. The receptionist was lovely, room was beautiful, be was so comfy. Would stay here again if i needed to. Tip...car parking is very limited!!!!

Charge an additional £5 on site to park your car. When we arrived at 9 pm, there were no parking spaces available and you had to park in a lorry Bay in the truckstop.

Stopped at the hotel half way to the destination. If you book direct with the hotel, no parking fee, if you book with a 3rd party there is a £5 a night fee (which is reasonable and fully stated in the information on the Hotels.com site for the hotel) Arrived and managed to find a parking space in the hotel area (very tight spaces due to others not parking well). Checkin was ok, the gentleman who checked me in was polite. Room was on the 1st floor (no lift but didn’t have heavy luggage so was ok), room 108. Room was pleasant enough - few stains but you come to expect those kind of things in older hotels. Only stayed overnight and didn’t have food so can’t comment on the breakfast or evening meal other than I heard last food orders was around 2115hrs

I have stayed here before and had a pleasant stay however on my recent visit i had to pay for parking!!! And i couldn't even park in a designated parking space as it was full . Very poor and won't be using you again

A very tired property but was surprised with a £5 parking fee. This is not a city centre location and is in fact a service station with over 2000 car parking spaces that are not used overnight and you have to pay to park. The staff are fantastic and on being asked to pay I had to scroll thru the app to find that it is stated. But not obvious and certainly not expected at a service station. Note to self l, Go thru every single page, even for a last minute booking!!! But the worst thing was the complaint via the online chat. I complained and did not find the response adequate. I asked to speak to the supervisor and the same operate tried to pass themselves off as the supervisor! Which is obviously via the online chat. I again challenged the initial operator and eventually spoke to a supervisor I think! . They passed me off with a £20 voucher. I am still waiting for a response to my complaint and still waiting for a response. This is hotel is poor, but the staff are great. They are over worked (2 people dealing with many guests for breakfast) one behind the scenes and one front of house. They are not supported by any form of appropriate resource management and approach workload scheduling . However the main complaint is Expedia. You have staff who lie and misrepresent themselves. I am still waiting for a response to my complaint and do not accept your resolution. The complaints procedure does not exist. What are you doing about staff who lie and misrepresent themselves???

Not great, wouldn't say very clean, drawers had some sticky goo on top and the showers had black mould all in the silicon.

Stayed here after a cancelled flight so very impromptu. The main reception area and bar/restaurant looked nice. (Didn’t eat or drink there so can’t comment any more than that). On the surface the family room looked nice and spacious although a very musty spell on entry. There was a stain on the bed, red wine stains on the carpet and the window let a lot of noise and breeze in. The room was cold on arrival, but there was a wall heater which did heat the room quickly. The bathroom was modern and such a shame it seemed to not have a decent clean for some time. All bathrooms get mould etc, however these things can be resolved relatively easily! Was within a good location to cribbs/M5 and relatively cheaply priced in comparison to hotels nearby. Personally, we would have preferred to pay a little more and have a clean environment to stay!

Sheets were stained so is the towels. House keep didnt do requested hoovering. Overall our stay was okay. Some of the staff mebers weren't very welcoming or professional. However some of them did wonderful job. Even tho i been double charged due to 3rd party problems. I only been informed on arrivel. Also try to tripple charge me for a late check out. Location good. Its an okay place for a quick rest or a short getaway.

Filthy stained carpets in both rooms, remote control greasy, previous occupants rubbish in bin and glass mug ring stains on bedsisde table and desks suggests that it had not been wiped.

The first room we were allocated had used towels hung up. Moved. Rooms and communal areas had stained carpet, dusty. Toilet seat wasn’t white, peeling ceiling. Needs upgrading. Expensive for what you get.

Room was lovely, the only issue was the bathroom had a lot of mould on the ceiling and the shower kept going hot and then really cold

We booked this hotel last minute and were pleasantly surprised! We chose a family room for two, and it was spacious, spotless, and in a quiet area, just what we needed. The reception staff were friendly and welcoming. We had dinner at the hotel, and the food was good, the overall dining experience was enjoyable. Parking was an extra £5, but it was easy to find a spot, so no complaints there. The location was great too—there were grocery stores (including Waitrose and 24hours WHSmith), restaurants, and even a prepaid washing machine all within walking distance. Another great perk, it’s close to historical spots! We took a trip to Bath, which was about a 50-minute drive, making it a great base for exploring. What you see in the website is what you get in the hotel, its great value for money, especially if you have a car. I would recommend!

Bedroom wasn’t clean, tables still had left over coffee on it, poo left on toilet seat, staff was very rude at reception

Abaloutly disgusting hotel rooms, filthy & not cleaned at all. Toenails on floors & excriment on the bottom sheets. Would have scored 0 stars if that was an option. Avoid at all costs.

Air con wasn’t working room was boiling hot. Floors had stained patches (bleached) not overly nice but served a purpose

Loud beeping noise directly outside room 10 throughout the night every 15 seconds. Quite a loud room Room was OK. Food nice. Staff friendly

Room was very hot with no air flow so had to locate a fan. There was no WIFI as the local tower had been having issues for the past week. Disappointed this wasn’t communicated as we will now have large roaming charges to pay and WIFI was one of my ‘must haves’. If I had known I would not have stayed here. The staff were great and no reflection on the poor rating.

There was a fast loud dripping noise (behind the toilet) in the bathroom. This was none stop all night so I couldn't sleep.

Very disappointed, no hot water for shower, no comment, and when I said about this their attitude was ‘indifferent’, all as I was checking out. Also having to pay extra to the price for parking.

Staff great. Bar great. Room awful. The room smelled awful. Like mold or damp. No window. Heating also smelt bad. Remote control didn't work. No kettle, cups with tea and coffee sachets but no bloody kettle! What's the point in that? The room we had was right next to the communal door so was also very very noisy with people passing constantly at night and early morning.

Reception and restaurant geeat. Rooms are tired and need a refurb. Carpets need replacing.

I booked 2 rooms, my family stayed in one room which had no air-conditioning. the controls had an error flashing. When I asked at reception I was told no rooms had any air-conditioning. When checking with the other family I booked for, their room was cool.

A lot of noise from banging doors to trucks starting throughout the night, walls are paper thin. The room was clean enough but a lot of neglected areas. Radiator was broken so room was cold all night. portable radiator was supplied but

Customer service was absolutely first class I was treated extremely well from check in until check out I stayed for 4 nights and got to know the place and staff quite well it’s a well run very professional hotel and extremely good value for money!!! I’d definitely stay again if the need came up 10/10 from me!!

This is a pretty decent Hotel. Very close to the M5 and other main routes.The only disappointing part was check in. The guy on reception was just so unprofessional.I approached the desk and stated my name and said I had a reservation. He just said "yea" There was an awkward moment silence. I just said, I'm in the hotel right ? After an unwelcoming check in I found the room to be perfect for a short stay, clean and well equipped. I stayed as I had a very early flight from Bristol. The Prince of Wales bridge was going to be closed and other roadworks too. I decided to stay closer to the Airport. In general a clean smart Hotel and good value for money. Also has a restaurant bar and 2 minutes walk to various fast food outlets and shops..

Quick and easy check-in and staff really helpful.

Very good quality for an affordable stay. I paid £70 for a room for two, and it was well worth it. The beds were extremely comfortable and the room was pleasant. It was a bit of a walk to get to the room and there was no lift, but nothing too bad. The only downside was the reception. I wanted a late check-out and tried calling eight times, but no one ever answered. The front desk seemed mostly unattended, which was frustrating. Overall, a comfortable and good value stay.

Convenient place to stay, on the motorway services.

It's A motorway services area so not the most attractive place to stay but it is convenient for the transport links, and Cribbs causeway. Certainly nothing to complain about.

Close to highway

Really handy for Bristol airport, very easy to find coming off the motorway. Room was nice and big, bar prices were more than reasonable. No complaints!

Stayed overnight pre flight from Bristol Airport. Very convenient location at side of M5. Unlike some motorway services hotels we were only a short distance from Clifton and Portishead. The room was spacious and comfortable.

Clean rooms and friendly staff. Good price. As we had no car, we did find it a bit tricky to walk along the highway to get to the bus stop. But it is an easy bus ride to city center. Other than a couple fast food places and a grocery store, there is no place else you can walk to, like pubs or restaurants, but it is a great hotel to stay in at night after a day of exploring Bristol.

The hotel and staff were excellent but it obviously isn’t in the nicest of areas being in a motorway services. The sign indicating the hotel doesn’t give you enough notice for turning right onto the hidden slip road, I had passed it before realising and then you’re in a one way system and have to go all the way round again

It was close proximity to Bristol Airport (20mins in the morning to silver car park) and a good price. Also with services on site it was easy to get food, coffee, quick breakfasts in the morning.

We liked the property being conveniently for the motorway, our room was fine.

This place was a pleasant surprise! Clean, quiet, comfortable, great showers plus 24 hour bar. I’ve knocked off a star because lots of the breakfast items (including teabags, croissants, bread) had run out by 9.30 and weren’t replenished. The cooked items however were tasty and plentiful and topped up until 10am. For a charge of £11 pp I’m not sure it was value for money.

The hotel was nice to stay in and we don’t normally eat in hotel restaurants but because of the weather we did and it was very good and affordable and the breakfast was very nice

Very limited space to eat and very busy with only 2 staff. Food was awful and the wine was off. Then the bedroom was freezing as the air vent in the window was broken and no heater. They managed to repair the heater which was stuck on hot so then became far too hot. Breakfast the coffee machine was broken and the staff were rude to eachother as there was only 2 of them and they were rushed off their feet. The breakfast was soggy and tasteless. Would not return.

Excellent stay, just what we needed after a busy day visiting Bath, and very handy for heading back home. We had a family room which was very comfortable and quiet. Buffet breakfast was amazing!!

Basic requirements there but no WiFi, no reception service when i tried to call from my room. VERY VERY limited food choices from the restaurant apparently due to there being no delivery that day.. felt for the reception staff as they had to keep saying no to my choices. They did manage to get the kitchen to rustle up something. Reception staff where excellent.

Breakfast dreadful, tables not set, rubbish everywhere. Not a clean table to be seen. Arrived at 9.20. Nothing topped up. Only one member of staff. Very poor not worth the price !!.

I wasn't expecting much from this property because it was very reasonably priced but it was actually a super hotel very large beds very comfortable and a spacious room. The shower gel was super nice and overall this Ramada is a great place with a nice breakfast also

Lovely welcome, helpful staff but understaffed. Room was perfect but let down by the catering side. Good choice of breakfast but hot option was cold. Booked a meal for the second night but was told a lot of options unavailable. One member of staff trying to check in guests and do food orders and one chef trying to help with orders but couldn’t use the till. We would stay again but would hope these issues would be sorted.
