Parking is tight but there is underground available. Elevator out of service in main building but staff easily switched me over to the new wing. Best Western is a consistent brand, bed, bedding, room size, decor and amenities updated and comfortable. Bathroom had plenty of counter space and my only criticism was the positioning of the bathroom door and the toilet/toilet paper roll holder - just a bit awkward. Breakfast had great choices of hot & cold, juice, fruit, pastries, etc. don’t forget to tip!

Clean rooms and felt safe staying here. Parking around the actual property is a bit awkward the retail/office places on the lower levels have access to the same parking from 9am-5pm. When you have luggage and need to transport that to your room without close parking, it is a huge pain.

As a hotel chain that promotes sustainability and environmental practices it is strange that EV drivers have to pay for charging. You would think they would promote zero tailpipe emissions. Most BW have free charging. Signing into charge was also a pain as it requires downloading an app and having to pay.

We had the pet room but the room had a wet dog smell. The bathroom had a mildew odour. The hotel indicated some option for some requests, such as, hand or body lotion but the receptionist simply said that they didn’t any. The best thing about the hotel was the grand lobby lounge with big comfy chairs and tables. We ordered a delicious pizza and had it there with our small dog. That was lovely.

the halls smelled dirty and hall carpets were terribly worn. At breakfast the waitress was overwhelmed and people had to wait for tables to be cleaned, plates, silverware and for the food to be refilled.

Unfortunately my room had bed bugs. I have several bites all over my body, arms, hands, neck and face. As well there were several people loitering in the lobby and outside at all times. I will say however that the staff was very hospitable and my stay was fully covered. I will not be returning despite the service though.

This is my go-to when travelling for business in this area. The restaurant/pub attached is excellent. There is a new wing and old wing, ask for the new wing and you get a nice balcony to stretch your legs after a road trip

Best Western the Westerley is well located in Courtenay. We found it very central for visiting with family in Comox or sightseeing in the area. There are lots of dining options in easy walking distance. Our room was huge, comfortable and clean.

Overpriced handicapped room, although roomy, shower seat too small. Asked for 2 Queen beds and balcony 1 king no balcony clean, bed firm but comfortable. Plain decor Barking dogs. Noisy quests above. Nice breakfast. Good location.

After an early start and a long day travelling, the close proximity of The Westerly to the ferry port at Little River, Comox, was a welcome relief. Quite easy to find, following the main roads out of Little River and joining up with highway 19A into Courtenay. After passing over the river bridge, a short distance to a right hand turn-off into Riverside Lane and the hotel car park entrance is a short entrance off to your left. Check in was very efficient and the lady on reception was welcoming and helpful. The restaurant located in the hotel only serves breakfast, which was a good mix of hot and cold buffet style food choices, all self service. Adjoining the hotel complex is the Flying Canoe West Coast Pub, which serves traditional pub favourites like burgers, wood-fired pizzas & wings, plus beer! We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed in the older part, which was fixed up nice, except it was noisy. You can hear everything between the rooms, and the drunk people outside. It is a nice central location and easy walk to the downtown and also the trail to around the Airpark.

Centrally located in the Comox Valley. There are plenty of places to eat nearby. The neighbourhood is very walkable. There is a nice spa across the street. Staff are young, friendly and very helpful.

The one staff member who checked us out was so nice....and he looked exactly like Jack Black! Our room was clean and the part of the hotel we were in (the other building)was relatively quiet. The breakfast was horrible. We generally use hotels with breakfasts included because we have kids and its just easier. The sausages were deep fried, the eggs had no taste and a weird texture, it was like the bacon was cooked and reheated and sopping in grease. One of my kids said the pancakes were ok. There was no mention of limited parking above ground which wouldn't have been a problem if the underground parking didn’t have a height limit. We have a roof rack so something as simple as parking was stressful. Location was convenient. Overall it was ok, but we would not stay there again.

Other than the breakfast, which had been downgraded due to the closure of their restaurant ( it will get better once the new restaurant is in place), this place is great! Yes, there was construction going on which made it hard to park but that's a temporary thing and usually not a problem. We do love staying here though. We stay for a couple of weeks every year when we visit our grandkids
