The hotel is in the centre of Leicester, very near the shops, the room is nice even though it's a budget room, got the amenities like tea making and beautiful shower. The hotel is hard to locate, due to there is no frontage, and the one way traffic system, got list a few time, parking is at nearby Highcross car park, it cost £6.00 for 24 hours because of concessions Over all it's a pleasant stay

The staff member was pleasant and helpful, but the room was spartan, the bed broken, the TV mounted on the wall at a jaunty angle, the stairs and hallway dirty and unkept, the outer door broken, and no plug available for the bath, which put a dampner bit of bit of a dampner on things

Paid 75 pound for a Saturday night stay, and was interested to see what we got with all the mixed reviews. We had the economy room with queen bed, it was at the front 2nd floor just above the taxi rank. The space was tight but had smaller, the bed and shower were both wonderful, only thing missing was tea and coffee in the room. The roof top bar was quite something too. I decided to have a deeper look at things because of the mixed reviews, yes I found some dust, a little mould and we had a brown burn on a towel, but we only found it because I went looking for it. I would never have noticed it otherwise, I have stayed in much worse hotels. Seriously if you want 5* book a Radisson or something, and get real, this hotel was great for the price. The best thing about this hotel is it's position bang in the centre and the 6 pound 24 hour parking in the high cross car park shouldn't be overlooked either, bargain! It has a wetherspoons seconds away for breakfast too. We expected to have noise due to the taxi rank and it being Saturday night, but we honestly didn't hear anything and the wife is a very light sleeper. If you want to be right in the centre of town this hotels location for the bars is as good as any, it's probably more 3 star than 5, and if you take 6 pound parking in central Leicester in to account, this price probably can't be beat. If you want 5 star sorry your going to have to pay more somewhere else for that.

Absolutely loved my stay here, bed was extremely comfortable, felt like home from home. The car park was literally around the corner, great to see the price for £6 over night cheapest in the whole city by far with 24 hour access.

The room(s) was fantastic! Very clean and comfortable. It would help if staff knew exactly how to best manage parking in the high cross rooftop parking so as to explain well when asked. Also, the basin in the bathroom would not drain away well at all.

I want really happy with the quality of the mattress and overall cleanliness of the hotel. The wall was peeling off around sockets. Didn't even want to use the shower because there was so much dirt around where the water goes and it's covered by a water mat inside the shower. Overall i wouldn't say if was worth the money i had spent

The hotel room was dirty and full of mould. I paid for an executive room, the only thing different was it was slightly bigger than the standard, which my daughter stayed in. Instructions were unclear for car park and was instructed different instructions by three different members of staff, which resulted in us paying £24 for parking for one night, rather than the £6 stated. On arrival to Leicester we got a little confused whether we should drive down the road which states ‘just for lorries’. I called the number for hotel. It doesn’t work. No one was available at desk on arrival. £85 for a night in an unclean room that had nearly a full beard from the last guests face in the sink. Mould on windows and in bathroom. Among other things, there was no hair straighteners as stated, plug sockets didn’t work, no soap left in shower, half a toilet paper for us. The good points! The tv worked so did Netflix. Would not recommend!.

Avoid this Hotel!!! Mouldy stained pillows, the room was was not clean and the drain in the bathroom was blocked. Mouldy stained pillows is just not acceptable!!!!!!!! Contacted the hotel to share my experience and after ignoring me for few weeks , they told me there is nothing they can do about it.

Worst stay so far, the room was filthy with doffdremt strands of hair littered across tbe floor and bedding. Upon initially accessing the room, it had a strong stench of smoke. My room was also accessed in my absence amd it was not for room service. I checked in, had a look at the room. Went to get my partner and bags. The "do not disturb" sign was on the floor. Baring in mind i left it on the handle in the inside of the room, why was it outside on the floor? Staff could not explain this. Overall felt unkept and unsafe. We had to book another hotel for the nigt.

Friendly staff. But hotels seen better days. Very tired. Was hairs in the bed. But noisy hotel right in the city. Room over looks a pub. Other guest playing music till 2am. Then the pub below had the kegs changed at 5am for around an hour. No breakfast

We received a phone call from this property when we were enroute asking when we would be checking in. Never had this before and thought it to be quite pushy as there are no times set out on the listing as to when you have to check in by. It was only an hour after check in time. Also the room had a musty smell, possibly due to poor ventilation in the bathroom. The side tables in the bedroom looked like they hadn’t been dusted in months and some of the bedding was dirty. The bed was however comfortable, shower hot and tv worked so not completely awful. Maybe just a couple of things to improve on.

There was no blind in the bathroom in room 14 which meant you could clearly be viewed in the shower from another overlooking room. Room.was too warm and air conditioning comtroller wouldnt work.

1st Impressions. Arrival and checkin were fine, the room was on the top floor adjacent to the reception (meaning all guests walked past this room). When 1st stepping into the room it was really hot, the heating had been left on maximum, it took some time to reduce this. The coffee cups in the room were stained snd clearly had not been cleaned, as a result I didn’t trust the overall cleaning of the room. I did report this, the cups were replaced, it just didn’t feel clean. If you can’t get the basics right…. The bedding cover was quite thin and didn’t offer any comfort, We overlooked the street and had noise from traffic, people in the street and sirens for what seemed like most of the night. Booked the hotel based on location, and it is very close to the City Centre, but I wouldn’t book again.

I paid extra for an upgraded room with a large bath - but I couldn’t use that bath because there was no plug and, despite several requests from me and promises from them, they were unable to provide one. Also, the TV remote was missing, the curtains didn’t properly close, and my colleague’s door didn’t close properly. I’m never coming back, ever.

The websites describe this as a four star hotel and I can't see how that is. There are some terrible reviews that we only saw after we'd booked but we actually had a very pleasant time there, over two nights. Good location. Good big bed too, slept well, not much noise even with the lift right next door to us. We were at the back, with a view of a bare brick wall, away from the weekend post-pub stuff out front. Weird square cushions instead of pillows. There were two safes in the room, neither of which worked, a fridge that worked well but had nothing in it, and a kettle but no coffee sachets supplied. Lots of storage space that we didn't really need and the room was spacious, with a good big bathroom off. Good shower. It was average. The websites describe this as a four star hotel and I can't see how that is. There are some terrible reviews that we only saw after we'd booked but we actually had a very pleasant time there, over two nights. Good location. Good big bed too, slept well, not much noise even with the lift right next door to us. We were at the back, with a view of a bare brick wall, away from the weekend post-pub stuff out front. Weird square cushions instead of pillows. There were two safes in the room, neither of which worked, a fridge that worked well but had nothing in it, and a kettle but no coffee sachets supplied. Lots of storage space that we didn't really need and the room was spacious, with a good big bathroom off. Good shower. It was average. Next time, we'll find somewhere above average, that's better value for the money.

The hotel staff were lovely, check in very quick, and a good central location. The hotel itself is old however. Moved to a different executive room, the a/c was temperamental and refused to turn on two different days the bedhead fabric was torn, glue spilled on the large writing table top and chair, the safe was broken (apparently they are in all rooms). The glass recycle garbage truck parks directly opposite the window at 05.40am to collect the bottles from the pub, making enough noise to wake the dead.

It was alright but one thing that made me feel incredibly unsafe and uncomfortable was the fact that our door was left open during the time we were out by room service. Apparently they had forgotten something so they went upstairs to collect it. Me and my friend arrived after going out and about to notice the door wide open. We noticed some cleaning supplies so we assumed that room service would return. We waited about 30 minutes. Still no sign of anyone. Later that day I made a complaint as it was incredibly reckless. The manager had apologized and explained why it happened but didn't treat it as a serious issue. Probably won't book here again :/

I paid extra for an upgraded room with a large bath - but I couldn’t use that bath because there was no plug and, despite several requests from me and promises from them, they were unable to provide one. Also, the TV remote was missing, the curtains didn’t properly close, and my colleague’s door didn’t close properly. I’m never coming back, ever.

The girls on reception were excellent when changing our room due to the air conditioning leaking, very kind and quick to act! The room itself was clean and cosy, with a nice size shower.

Not happy with this hotel we did not stay due to giving us a room that stank and not the room we booked online so they quickly upgraded us just to have the same issue we didnt end up staying in this hotel now they are refusing a refund after not staying or using the facilities poor hotel would not recommend

The room(s) was fantastic! Very clean and comfortable. It would help if staff knew exactly how to best manage parking in the high cross rooftop parking so as to explain well when asked. Also, the basin in the bathroom would not drain away well at all.

We received a phone call from this property when we were enroute asking when we would be checking in. Never had this before and thought it to be quite pushy as there are no times set out on the listing as to when you have to check in by. It was only an hour after check in time. Also the room had a musty smell, possibly due to poor ventilation in the bathroom. The side tables in the bedroom looked like they hadn’t been dusted in months and some of the bedding was dirty. The bed was however comfortable, shower hot and tv worked so not completely awful. Maybe just a couple of things to improve on.

The hotel is in the centre of Leicester, very near the shops, the room is nice even though it's a budget room, got the amenities like tea making and beautiful shower. The hotel is hard to locate, due to there is no frontage, and the one way traffic system, got list a few time, parking is at nearby Highcross car park, it cost £6.00 for 24 hours because of concessions Over all it's a pleasant stay

Loved the room, however the fragrance in the ac was a tad strong. Noisy pub across the street into the wee hours was not ideal but great location for central Leicester.

Absolutely loved my stay here, bed was extremely comfortable, felt like home from home. The car park was literally around the corner, great to see the price for £6 over night cheapest in the whole city by far with 24 hour access.

The hotel is in a great location for access to everything related to King Richard III. However, reception was unattended at 1pm and multiple phone calls were not answered. Our room, which had a balcony and city view, was tired and in need of several Basic repairs. I would not recommend it to those who are expecting luxury accommodation - as described on their website.

Paid 75 pound for a Saturday night stay, and was interested to see what we got with all the mixed reviews. We had the economy room with queen bed, it was at the front 2nd floor just above the taxi rank. The space was tight but had smaller, the bed and shower were both wonderful, only thing missing was tea and coffee in the room. The roof top bar was quite something too. I decided to have a deeper look at things because of the mixed reviews, yes I found some dust, a little mould and we had a brown burn on a towel, but we only found it because I went looking for it. I would never have noticed it otherwise, I have stayed in much worse hotels. Seriously if you want 5* book a Radisson or something, and get real, this hotel was great for the price. The best thing about this hotel is it's position bang in the centre and the 6 pound 24 hour parking in the high cross car park shouldn't be overlooked either, bargain! It has a wetherspoons seconds away for breakfast too. We expected to have noise due to the taxi rank and it being Saturday night, but we honestly didn't hear anything and the wife is a very light sleeper. If you want to be right in the centre of town this hotels location for the bars is as good as any, it's probably more 3 star than 5, and if you take 6 pound parking in central Leicester in to account, this price probably can't be beat. If you want 5 star sorry your going to have to pay more somewhere else for that.

Friendly staff. But hotels seen better days. Very tired. Was hairs in the bed. But noisy hotel right in the city. Room over looks a pub. Other guest playing music till 2am. Then the pub below had the kegs changed at 5am for around an hour. No breakfast

The information on the website says 3 to 4 stars. This information needs to be expertly inspected to give the correct rating. Maybe a good two star. Clearly, they have tried hard but have no idea on what luxury is to get a rating of four stars? However, the staff were fantastic and friendly. My headboard was dusty and had marks on it. The room was relatively clean. I did ask for a quiet room, there was a Wetherspoons straight outside the window. If you’re not bothered about being picky and a clean freak like myself, the location is perfect for a hen, stag you’re meeting up with your university friends, as it situated near the campus.

Overall, the hotel is run down and shows signs of lack of investment and maintenance. It’s poorly furnished and lacks amenities commonly found in a hotel this size. However, the rooms were spacious, the staff polite and the location was close to the town centre.

Filthy. Stink of mould. Noisy. Lift broken have to use another entrance to access the stairs which is open 24/7 for anyone to come in and access the hotel as reception is on the 3rd floor tucked away in what is meant to be the bar lounge which you have to climb 6 flights of stairs to get too. Very dated. Old damaged furniture. Unsafe. Stunk of weed all the time every where staff don’t care well that’s if you see any staff.
