The Z Hotel Bath

Everything was first-rate (staff, location, breakfast, etc). My only significant beef has to do with the room design, which clearly responded more to the need to keep construction cost low than it did to customer convenience. 1) There is exactly one outlet in the entire room. That requires some dexterity these days with all that needs to be charged. 2) The shower door opens in such a way that one cannot enter and close the running shower without dousing the outside of the door. 3) The toilet cannot be flushed without lowering the lid. 4) Given the absence of a closet or even a folding suitcase rack, I cannot imagine sharing the room (if my wife were with me.) Not much can be done at this point, but caveat emptor!

Great option for a short stay in the centre of Bath. The rooms are tiny, and ours had no windows (this was known when we made the reservation), but if you are a solo traveller or a couple, this is a great budget option. The rooms in general are modern and clean and the staff are helpful!

Excellent location, competent and friendly staff. Looking forward to coming back.
