This was a secret find! A treasure of a place tucked up in the hills near the Black Forest. Historical charm, excellent room and breakfast. Wellness center exceeded my expectations. Lovely staff and easy parking. Across the street is a nice park and the town square and access to the ruins are walkable.

Hotellet er super, men hvis man ikke har halvpensionen, bliver man hele tiden spurgt, om man skal spise der om aftenen og man bliver set lidt ned på, hvis man ikke vælger at spise der. Desuden er der ingen Air-con, på værelserne, så der kan blive meget varmt, i den varmeste region i Tyskland.

Ein richtiges Sommer-Weekend im Markgräfler-Land war unser Ziel (entspannen, geniessen und shoppen) - sehr heiss in der 1. Nacht (dafür kann das Hotel nichts) und besser in der 2. Nacht (da kühler). Es fehlten eine erfrischende Kühle irgendwo im Hotel zum Ankommen und/oder erholen (das Problem haben aber viele Hotels). Das Personal war vielfach im Stress oder es war zu heiss (hat man als Gast leider gespürt - v.a im Speisesaal), Aber es gab auch immer wieder löbliche Ausnahmen (Bsp. Rezeption, Housekeeping). Schade dass die Bade-Annehmlichkeiten nicht gegen aussen offen waren, oder die Terrasse betriebsbereit und ordentlich aufgeräumt/gesäubert für den Sommer oder die Öffnungszeiten für Spa und Restaurant länger offen bei so schönen Abenden (vielleicht wollen aber auch nur wir das). Das Hotel hat grosses Potenzial (schöne Innenausstattung, Spa, Restaurant, Zimmer etc.). Vielleicht haben wir aber auch nur einen unpassenden Moment erwischt - wir kommen sicher wieder zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt und schauen wie wir u s dann fühlen
