The room was somewhat in disrepair, and there was not adequate space for luggage or other items (no dressers, night stand, etc). We checked out early, and management did not refund the unused nights or respond to messages. The grounds and hot springs were nice, as was the staff that we interacted with while there.

Lovely hot springs pools - 4 to choose from and very quiet. We stayed in a spacious family room and we were able to check-in early and check-out late. Nice breakfast and reliable wi-if. Needed a taxi / uber to get to la fortuna.

My girlfriend and I stayed at this awesome hotel at the base of Volcano Arenal. Our check in was super easy and the office staff was friendly and helpful. The bartender, Jose, provided conversation and incredible drinks. Our hotel room was clean, food was good. Views and hot springs were perfect. We would love to stay here again.

We stayed for 5 nights. I like the early check in to be able to use the amenities fro the whole day. It is an older resort, however it was really clean and the staff were absolutely lovely. The multiple pools were great, nice to be able to move around to different ones with different temperatures. I liked the location of the resort, easy access to all the activities.

Very nice staff. Small grounds with great views of Volcano. Boutique size place, maybe only 10 rooms and nice but small pool deck and 4 hot springs. Great breakfast, very convenient in and out location with a car. Not a fancy big resort place but was absolutely fine and budget friendly, would recommend no problem. Other "grand" volcano hot spring resorts were actually sold out so I picked this one and was very happy, and was lower cost overall with a great breakfast and very friendly staff. No restaurant for evening meals FYI. Not that kind of resort place. I liked the larger hot spring by the bar with music playing and in the sun with a view of the volcano, I spent an afternoon hanging out there in the spring and talking to people, looking at the volcano and getting drinks from the bar.

Nice hot pools and one cold pool for swimming. The shower did not always have hot water and the light over the toilet did not work. Housekeeping service was great and the room was kept clean. Reception checking in and out was slow. Breakfast was a little too salty. Good location close to town.

I appreciated the owner's willingness to give a refund, they are very kind. The property is pretty dingy for this pricepoint. I had to sweep and clean when we arrived. There wasn't hardly any items needed to be able to cook in the kitchen.

En la página decía que el check in era a las 10am cuando llegue al hotel nos dejaron ingresar hasta las 3pm. Luego la habitación olía a estanque y lo único que ofrecieron fue poner aromatizantes, definitivamente no me gustó.

This property is not worth the money. It is as same as any motel service. No proper check in, no chafer service, rooms are dirty, breakfast served late, not a good breakfast. Overall, I would not pay hefty amount that they are charging for, it is worthless.

we booked the hotel for four days and left after the first night...this is the picture of false advertising ..the room is very dirty and old...the shower head it was electric with tapes all around shutting water all over ..the sheets was smelling very bad ...no internet whatsoever . the breakfast was a joke...they should be ashamed of calling that a hotel...you should look elsewhere ...terrible experience....

The property is very dated, breakfast is very limited. There is no even shampoo in the room. But hot springs are nice that’s probably only thing nice about this hotel.

No hot water, no WIFI in the rooms, rude staff and they messed up our activity bookings. Every day breakfast was almost the same with long waiting despite telling them in advance of activity pickup times. Staff is only there between 7am and 9 pm and the room and the hotel has no lockers. The pools close by 9 pm also. Rooms were not sound proof, could hear everything from next room and repairs on the property started early in the morning with contractors talking loudly the whole time.

Reception was welcoming and friendly. I was allowed to borrow an umbrella walking in the rain while visiting a nearby hot springs. Breakfast was good, even though I missed one day due to leaving too early for a tour. My room was clean, but a bit worn and needs updating. I was unaware that I would be placed in a room (#3) next to an unoccupied one going through construction because the work went on until nearly 8 pm on the first evening I stayed. It was unpleasant, especially trying to rest after a long day out on tour. The shower did not have hot water at all, so both nights, I took cold showers. For this reason alone, I may not stay at this property again. If they update their rooms in the near future, I will reconsider. I also requested that my room not be serviced until after check out, but noticed housekeeping entered, anyway. The room rates were reasonable, and the wildlife around property as well as the view of Arenal Volcano were wonderful. Those were the highlights of my stay as well as the friendliness of staff. My girlfriend and I stayed at this awesome hotel at the base of Volcano Arenal. Our check in was super easy and the office staff was friendly and helpful. The bartender, Jose, provided conversation and incredible drinks. Our hotel room was clean, food was good. Views and hot springs were perfect. We would love to stay here again.

Die Unterkunft war überbucht, wir haben Ersatzunterkünfte angeboten bekommen, die in keinster Weise dem gebuchten Standard entsprachen. Es gab keine Entschuldigung geschweige denn Entschädigung von Seiten des Hotels für die Unannehmlichkeiten. Ich würde das Hotel um keinen Preis noch einmal buchen. Absolut nicht zu empfehlen!

Very nice staff. Small grounds with great views of Volcano. Boutique size place, maybe only 10 rooms and nice but small pool deck and 4 hot springs. Great breakfast, very convenient in and out location with a car. Not a fancy big resort place but was absolutely fine and budget friendly, would recommend no problem. Other "grand" volcano hot spring resorts were actually sold out so I picked this one and was very happy, and was lower cost overall with a great breakfast and very friendly staff. No restaurant for evening meals FYI. Not that kind of resort place. I liked the larger hot spring by the bar with music playing and in the sun with a view of the volcano, I spent an afternoon hanging out there in the spring and talking to people, looking at the volcano and getting drinks from the bar.

No hot water, no WIFI in the rooms, rude staff and they messed up our activity bookings. Every day breakfast was almost the same with long waiting despite telling them in advance of activity pickup times. Staff is only there between 7am and 9 pm and the room and the hotel has no lockers. The pools close by 9 pm also. Rooms were not sound proof, could hear everything from next room and repairs on the property started early in the morning with contractors talking loudly the whole time.

We stayed for 5 nights. I like the early check in to be able to use the amenities fro the whole day. It is an older resort, however it was really clean and the staff were absolutely lovely. The multiple pools were great, nice to be able to move around to different ones with different temperatures. I liked the location of the resort, easy access to all the activities.

We loved our stay here. Ariana was very welcoming on our arrival and all the staff were very helpful. Breakfast was a nice buffet style with good food. We enjoyed the friendliness of Jose, at the bar, even thought we don't drink. Molly the resident puppy is very sweet. Being able to park right by your room is great. The showers don't get very hot, but it was okay. We loved sitting in the warmest pool after a day of hiking. There were toucans around and we loved watching them eat the palm berries.

Reception was welcoming and friendly. I was allowed to borrow an umbrella walking in the rain while visiting a nearby hot springs. Breakfast was good, even though I missed one day due to leaving too early for a tour. My room was clean, but a bit worn and needs updating. I was unaware that I would be placed in a room (#3) next to an unoccupied one going through construction because the work went on until nearly 8 pm on the first evening I stayed. It was unpleasant, especially trying to rest after a long day out on tour. The shower did not have hot water at all, so both nights, I took cold showers. For this reason alone, I may not stay at this property again. If they update their rooms in the near future, I will reconsider. I also requested that my room not be serviced until after check out, but noticed housekeeping entered, anyway. The room rates were reasonable, and the wildlife around property as well as the view of Arenal Volcano were wonderful. Those were the highlights of my stay as well as the friendliness of staff. I would have given a much lower rating on this property had I been completely unsatisfied.

El hotel no lo recomendaría, hay mejores… ofrecen desayuno pero no es la gran cosa y el horario fatal (más si anda uno de vacaciones, descansando), las instalaciones descuidadas… las piscinas de aguas termales digamos que aceptables … lo único que rescato de la estadía fue la atención y el servicio de don Jose en el bar, un 100.. que persona más amable, disfrutamos mucho con su persona, nos complació con los cocteles y el servicio de comida estuvo bien ( algo contradictorio porque el desayuno pésimo)… en resumen un hotel malo con un bartender súper bueno.

If you go to look this place up for directions use GOOGLE MAPS. Apple Maps will take you to the wrong. The room we stayed in was as described, the shower head had low water pressure and could use a new one. Rooms were cleaned and maintained everyday and the breakfast was a small buffet style Costa Rica breakfast.

I do not recommend this hotel. We stayed for 2 of the 3 nights we had booked. The rooms were fine; bare amenities, a very high and ill-functioning rainfall shower head which made showering difficult, and much more rustic than the pictures make them look. The walls between rooms are very thin, and our neighbors were partying into the night. On our second night, we noticed an ant infestation in the bathroom. Hoards of ants were streaming out of the broken tiles on the wall, carrying their eggs. We are used to the occasional bug in a Costa Rican hotel room, but this was beyond our comfort level. We used Raid on the ants nest before they could spread more. The next morning, we decided to not stay our final night, and showed Maria (the receptionist on duty) the infestation. She agreed that it was beyond acceptable, and told us that she would refund us our final night. 10 days later, I’ve called and whatsapped the hotel every day asking for an update on the refund, just to get the run-around. If you’re going to promise something, you should deliver. We were also disappointed with the “hot” springs. They claim to only pump hot water into the pools “every 3 hours,” but we checked the temperature throughout the day and it was never above tepid.
