This is a really great hotel, especially considering it's location in old city Venice right by the water srounded by ancient buildings. The hotel has been refurbished and modernised but remains tight in space. The staff are friendly and helpful and as always we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. They also have a great secluded garden to relax in

Great location! It was away from the chaos of Venice but we loved it! We walked everywhere and really got a good feel for the city. Georgio in the bar was an amazing person! Gave us so many good tips and taught us all about the different Campari drinks! Also, Clement the night front desk host was a pleasure to speak with! He taught us so much about the Venetian history and Italy in general. Very pleasant stay

Fantastic!! we stayed there for three nights while in Venice and the room was clean. Staff was friendly and the bar attached was fantastic. We upgraded to include breakfast every morning and it was well worth the price.

Great hotel in a quiet and lovely spot in the upper or northern part of Venice. Lovely canal in front of hotel with water bus access to the tourist district. The bus does get crowded and uncomfortable but walking is an option. Hotel is comfortable and daily housekeeping is a plus. Elevators are fast. Room included a safe and refrigerator. Room included 3 beds with 2 rooms.

Wonderful room with two different showers in same bathroom. I got a suite for four people. VERY clean room and beautiful bathroom. Very friendly staff and good location. You can walk to hotel from train station in about 15 minutes and pay one of the baggage cart pushcart hawkers to walk with you pushing your bags, which costs €30. Hotel is not on a street with lots of noise, so it’s peaceful overlooking the Grand Canal, but only a 10 minute walk from the shopping districts and all the shopping and restaurants. Very nice.

This hotel was excellent. The rooms were very comfortable and clean and updated. Great breakfast, and very nice Hotel staff. Any questions asked of them through hotels.com were answered almost immediately. The location is great. There’s a water taxi stop almost in front of the hotel. It is not right in the center of things so it’s a little quieter at night and the surrounding restaurants are very reasonable. It’s only about a half hour or so walk to Saint Mark’s Square and you are very close to the Jewish ghetto. Would definitely return. If you’re traveling with a family of four, this hotel can accommodate all of you in a suite. It’s very roomy and comfortable. And very good air conditioning.

There was extensive black mould in the bathroom, we spoke to the staff and they cleaned some of it but there was still mold all over the tiles and the shower head. The room was very nice other than this. I would not recommend staying here as the bathroom was not clean at all, especially for the price of the hotel.

Definitely had mold in our room. I know there isn’t much you can do cuz you’re Venice but our towels were hung up for 24 hours and didn’t dry and our bedsheets felt wet in the evening. All signs of mold.

Property was in decent condition and conveniently close to a couple vaporetto stops. However, the wi-fi was a disaster. We would get but off every few second to every couple of minutes. When we brought this to the front desk's attention, they have us a list of all their network IDs and passwords. So this was not an isolated issue. But each of them, Guest, Service, Staff and TV all had the same problem. It became impossible to craft an email or check your itinerary, let alone watch a video. There was also a minor cleanliness issue. One corner wall in our room had dust balls sticking to it from ceiling to floor. Guess the maids must've missed this corner many times over. I'd consider staying elsewhere on next trip to Venice. My experience didn't match their start level.

Lovely hotel in great location away from the hustle and bustle of the centre but within 20 min walk. Room overlooking canal was lovely although a bit noisy from the waterbuses. Breakfast limited but nice - could have had more fresh fruit.

Property and staff are great, room walls are paper thin so you hear everything not matter what side you stay on, we stayed in a room that literally had the staff elevator going off at 6am and felt like the door was opening inside our room.

We had a great experience at the Carnival Palace Hotel in Venice. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly and super helpful—always ready with great local recommendations. Our room was spacious, and very comfortable—perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The hotel is located in a lovely, quieter area of Venice, It was close to plenty of great dining spots and bars, but away from the heavy crowds you find around the main tourist areas. Only good things to say about my stay at Carnival Palace! A month prior my stay. Just after my booking, the hotel made contact , providing me with all the information I would need, transfers from the airport, day trips, restaurants and so on… these communication kept on and was always, friendly, consistent and very helpful. The hotel is in a great location with several boat stops at the door. Plenty of wonderful restaurants nearby. The room and bathroom were lovely and spotless! The bed and pillows super comfortable, slept wonderfully during my stay! Breakfast was great, plentiful variety, coffee just perfect! The staff working at breakfast area, always greeted us with a big smile! At the reception, a big thank you to Eduard and Anthony, always so helpful! Loved my stay at Carnival Palace!

Perfect location on canal, not crowded, and easy walk to restaurants and shops. My wife and I loved it. The staff were outstanding in every respect, especially the Front Desk team. Marco and Eduard in particular were great. We left some valuables in the room safe when we checked out. Marco immediately communicated with us, and got the valuables returned to us. Eduard helped as well. They went above and beyond in their duties, and we are most appreciative. A sincere thank you to all at Carnival Palace.

Our stay was excellent with the friendly frontdesk team specially Mr. Marco how was so helpful and supportive in all the occassions. In addition to the free upgrade of our room to a canal view superior room, arranging a soomth transportation from/to the Marco Polo Airport, reserving a table for dining in and manymore. The rest of the frontdesk team were also helpful with always a nice simle.
Our stay was excellent with the friendly frontdesk team specially Mr. Marco how was so helpful and supportive in all the occassions. In addition to the free upgrade of our room to a canal view superior room, arranging a soomth transportation from/to the Marco Polo Airport, reserving a table for dining in and manymore. The rest of the frontdesk team were also helpful with always a nice simle.

Great location! It was away from the chaos of Venice but we loved it! We walked everywhere and really got a good feel for the city. Georgio in the bar was an amazing person! Gave us so many good tips and taught us all about the different Campari drinks! Also, Clement the night front desk host was a pleasure to speak with! He taught us so much about the Venetian history and Italy in general. Very pleasant stay

This has been the worst stay of my trip if I could rate it 0 starts I would. The place is nice but the staff is Terrible. I requested to have our laundry picked up but they never came. However they did come to steal things from our room and when we noticed and complained no one cared. If you’re staying here keep your important personal belongings with you at all times.

One of the comfiest beds we've ever slept on. Great location being 5 mins from the Laliguna Guglie stop for the airport water bus, and having the Tre Archi stop basically outside the front door. Staff were great and quick to help when we had questions and needed anything from them.

We had a an amazing stay and the hotel was excelllent. The staff were amaxing and went above and beyond. Eduard organised trips for us and water taxis and made our stay very confortable. When back in Venice we will stay again. I highly recomend.

Property is great. Need to take the public water transportation system to move around. We have no problems at all. Just know that the property is a little distant to St Marco area where the grand canal is located. If taken water transportation, there is not a problem at all.

Everything was excellent but the location was the best part. Close enough to train station making it easy to get to hotel on first day with luggage (10 min walk). It is in front of the canal with water bus stop to St Marcos and to Murano in less than 2 min walk. It is far from main streets which helped for quiet good night sleep (went to bed 9pm due to time change). Staff was very friendly and helpful.. like everyone of them. Breakfast was not excellent but good enough (I had better ones in other 4 star hotels around Europe). There are two elevators which made it easy to go up and down. Overall, this is a hotel I would recommend to anyone who is looking for similar needs.

Carnival Palace was a dream to stay at. The location was just a 10 minute walk to the train station which was fantastic, and from the property you could walk to any destination within venice in 30 minutes. The actual location is just off of the busier streets which was a big plus in my eyes. The room was incredibly comfortable as well the view of the courtyard was fantastic. The staff were all super friendly as well and always willing to give a great recommendation for dinner. I would highly recommend staying here.

Beautiful hotel set outside the busy area. Very easy walking distance to the grand canal and some very nice restaurants near by. Breakfast was good, but the eggs were “ok”, pastries were excellent. Front desk was friendly and able to make all taxi bookings via WhatsApp. Beds were comfy and rooms were spacious. Only missing a bathrob to make it a perfect stay. Would return and recommend.

I loved this hotel. It’s beautiful but not over the top. The service is fantastic, especially the two blonde ladies that run the breakfast (I’m sorry, I’m terrible with names!). I loved that it was in a quiet area, but still super quick to get to on the Vaporetto. I highly recommend this hotel and would stay here again in a heartbeat.
