The only downside to the hotel - which seems to be common to all city centre hotels in Granada - is the parking. We parked maybe 10 minutes away and the charge was €30 a night after a torturous drive through one way and/or resident only streets. Once at the hotel, it's all fantastic. The staff were wonderful and very helpful. The location is superb - 10 minutes walk to the old city with the cathedral etc or 10 minutes the other way to the Alhambra. We had two lovely rooms, spacious and newly refurbished and they even had a kettle! There are plenty of common areas to sit and have a chat or drink as well as two terraces to view one of the Alcazaba towers or the cathedral roof. The wifi was good and the showers were great too as well as a Japanese style toilet. There was a fitness room, which we sadly didn't have time to visit despite staying for 3 nights. Breakfast was very nice, cooked or cold options and plenty of variety and we even had dinner one night - generous portions, some nice options on the menu and well presented. Once at the hotel I really can't fault anything, we had a fabulous break.

Lovely modern hotel in great location. Come out of hotel and take a right and you can walk up to the Al-Hambra, though it is a long 15 minute walk up the steep hill. Come out of the hotel and you are straight in the city centre and also a taxi rank. Very friendly staff, and a lovely little rooftop bar. Would recommend to others at a reasonable price.

Location is great for access to Alhambra, cathedral, Albaicin, and restaurants. Staff is helpful. Bed was comfortable, plenty of hot water for shower. Terrace bar and restaurant is a pleasant place with a view for a drink or meal.This is a historic building converted into a boutique hotel thus rooms do not have a standard layout and rooms and bathrooms are quite small compared to a business class or "standard tourist" hotel. Don't expect much of a view from the windows from all but the highest level rooms. Some rooms on 4th floor are not accessible by elevator and guests need to take luggage up from 3rd level by a narrow awkward stairway. We took taxis so didn't need to worry about parking, but there does not seem to be any parking near the hotel.

Located in pedestrian area in the heart of Granada. Walking distance to the Alhambra (all uphill). Modern hotel throughout. Friendly staff. If driving, the hotel will send directions and permit to allow to drive through restricted areas-- this is not an easy task, especially driving in pedestrian streets. The closest parking garage is a good 10 minute walk away and also very difficult to access.

The hotel staff are entirely professional & most are at least bilingual in english & spanish - my strong recommendation for english speakers is to acquire a bit of spanish before arriving, it'll go a long way towards everyone's comfort level. This hotel is in an area near several popular plazas & the Alhambra complex, but amazingly it's VERY quiet after 10 PM. Their 4th floor terrace restaurant is excellent & you can take out items from there to your room. This hotel is a definite 4.5 star find, the only thing keeping it from a 5th star is lack of a pool, which wouldn't be feasible d/t neighborhood space tight, obviously from prior eras in the wonderful city of Granada !

We recently stayed at Puerta de las Granadas after much research and it did not disappoint! The location is absolutely ideal. Situated only about a short walk from one of the gates to the Alhambra, it’s also just steps away from Plaza Nueva—what we felt was the heart of everything. The area is filled with plenty of bars, restaurants, shops and the hop-on-hop-off bus. It’s also not far from the Albaicín and Sacromonte neighbourhoods, so you're perfectly positioned to explore the best of the city. The hotel is incredibly clean, and while the rooms aren't massive, they are very comfortable with a great shower. Our room featured a Juliet balcony and lovely views of Cuesta de Gomérez, the pedestrian route to the Alhambra. The room had great soundproofing, so street noise was never a problem, the perfect place to relax after a busy day of sightseeing. The hotel has an on-site restaurant which we tried on our last night. While the menu isn’t extensive, the food was good and the service and staff very pleasant. We also enjoyed the rooftop bar on a couple of occasions—this is an absolute must. The views of the Alhambra and surrounding area are spectacular. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely return!

We booked the Double or Twin Room, Patio, Ground Floor (Chic Room). Dad and daughter trip. ❌ Cleanliness: shower had someone else's sample hair products in the shower. two sachets. and there was hair in the shower as well. the patio we had was not clean, leftover trash on the table. ❌ Negligence: we discussed the broken bidet and they didn't rush to fix it. both nights it didn't work. they should've asked about our stay and offer something to assist this inconvenience. ❌ space: small room, despite the patio. very small but so is every room in that hotel. ❌ staff: didn't seem to care at all about any concerns. one was smoking outside and eventually noticed us, smelled like cigs.

Location is excellent for visiting the Alhambra. Unfortunately , the trash had not been taken out of the bathroom trash can when we arrived. We were unable to use the AC in our room because apparently the hotel system had been switched to the heat setting. We were told by the front desk to open windows, which led to a very noisy night of no rest.

Excellent location, fabulous ckean hotel and fantastic value. Left out of hotel you are on Plaza Nueva in 3 mins walk, right out of hotel can walk to justice gate ( for access to Alhambra) in 5 mins. Staff extremely helpful. Highly recommend

Excellent location and modern quiet hotel. Comfortable bed and spacious bathroom. Lack of bedside table disappointing but understandable owing to compact nature of room. Otherwise small but perfectly formed. Room was cleaned immediately prior to arrival with strong smelling fluid or spray which was overwhelming. Declined room cleaning thereafter as a result.

Liked: 1. Two adjacent rooms - great for a family with children. Privacy for parents and 2 separate bathrooms 2. Very close to the center of Granada and to restaurants. And walking distance to Alhamra and other major attractions 3. Very friendly and helpful staff 4. Very clean rooms and the cleaning staff did a great job 5. Tea and Piononos (local speciality dessert) were offered - free of charge - in the reception area lounge 6. Two safes: one in each room 7. Wood floors (much better than carpets) Did not like: 1. The toilet door of the main bath (made of privacy glass), cannot be locked and stayed open all the time. 2. There was a water leak under the wash tub in the main room (and all the towels became wet). The leak was fixed right away after we reported it. And we got new towels. 3. The toilet flush (in second bathroom) got stuck several times. We did not report it. 4. The folding sofa bed was not comfortable for adults. And two separate single beds would have been better - especially for older children who cannot sleep next to each other. 5. The drapes in the main room smelled of dust 6. We were not told that we must dial 500 to reach the reception. So, we had to walk down to report the water leak.

Great place! Very central location, but still on a quiet street. The room was clean and more spacious than I was expecting. Only not-so-great things were that the hot water took a very long time to heat up and the elevator was broken on my last day. Friendly staff as well! Would recommend;)

Great location for Alhambra, bars, shops etc. Breakfast was good, had to ask a couple of times for items to be refreshed. Room was lovely and quiet, the only thing we didn't like was that the shower was in the middle of the room, so no privacy! The rooftop terrace was amazing.

The staff that checked me was very understanding and professional. My room and the bathroom were very small. I was offered a larger room just for one day. I did not accept the offer because it did not solve the problem. In essence everything about the room cried for help. The bathroom was so small that you don’t even have space to turn around after you have entered. It took more than thirty minutes to get the cold water to be heated up. I came to see the Alhambra tour for two days. The Alhambra tour caused shortage of hotel accommodations. Everything was sold out making a mediocrity hotel renting at a high rate. If the complaint was just about the room, I would not have focused on it as much. I also included breakfast with the accommodations. Everything about the breakfast was awful except for the poached eggs. I have not seen pineapple being cubed with the skin on. It looked dirty and on washed. By the way, I observed that there is no wheelchair access but to get through one has to go through the Resturant. I felt for this man on wheelchair and wife struggling to help him get through. The hotel receptionist watched but did not help them. I noticed that when the restaurant is closed and you are wheelchair bound, you are stocked. I did not accept the offer because it did not solve the problem. In essence everything about the room cried for help. The bathroom was so small that you don’t even have space to turn around after you have entered. It took more than thirty minutes to get the cold water to be heated up. I came to see the Alhambra tour for two days. The Alhambra tour caused shortage of hotel accommodations. Everything was sold out making a mediocrity hotel renting at a high rate. If the complaint was just about the room, I would not have focused on it as much. I also included breakfast with the accommodations. Everything about the breakfast was awful except for the poached eggs. I have not seen pineapple being cubed with the skin on. It looked dirty and on washed. By the way, I observed that there is no wheelchair access but to get through one has to go through the Resturant. I felt for this man on wheelchair and wife struggling to help him get through. The hotel receptionist watched but did not help them. I noticed that when the restaurant is closed and you are wheelchair bound, you are stocked. Before entering the hotel you had to go down the stairs. However, the next day they mounted wheelchair rail. My friend had their own issues. The area is very busy and lively. The city itself has great history and I enjoyed the purpose of my visit.

Great location and amazing staff. My husband had a medical issue and they arranged a doctor to come to the hotel. He was there in less than an hour. They were so incredibly kind and helpful. The rooftop area is fabulous and there are lots of other little spaces to hang out. Highly recommend!

Unfriendly front desk person made us feel uncomfortable. No help was offered, no information, however our friends who stayed at another hotel had a wonderful concierge who helped us all with the tickets and tours. Newly renovated property down the road from the Alhambra. Nice rooftop area. Very attentive staff that even packed up a "picnic" breakfast for us to take with us to the train station as we were leaving prior to scheduled breakfast time. Would definitively stay there again.

The hotel staff are entirely professional & most are at least bilingual in english & spanish - my strong recommendation for english speakers is to acquire a bit of spanish before arriving, it'll go a long way towards everyone's comfort level. This hotel is in an area near several popular plazas & the Alhambra complex, but amazingly it's VERY quiet after 10 PM. Their 4th floor terrace restaurant is excellent & you can take out items from there to your room. This hotel is a definite 4.5 star find, the only thing keeping it from a 5th star is lack of a pool, which wouldn't be feasible d/t neighborhood space tight, obviously from prior eras in the wonderful city of Granada !

This hotel is almost impossible to get to by car. The centre of Granada is all one way streets, and lanes only for Taxi and Buses. The hotel has no parking (nothing remotely close by) and to get to the hotel to drop off your bags is a nightmare - you have to go through hydrilic barriers and many signs that warn you not to enter, and for official vehicles only. I would not stay at this hotel if you are driving to Granada

We recently stayed at Puerta de las Granadas after much research and it did not disappoint! The location is absolutely ideal. Situated only about a short walk from one of the gates to the Alhambra, it’s also just steps away from Plaza Nueva—what we felt was the heart of everything. The area is filled with plenty of bars, restaurants, shops and the hop-on-hop-off bus. It’s also not far from the Albaicín and Sacromonte neighbourhoods, so you're perfectly positioned to explore the best of the city. The hotel is incredibly clean, and while the rooms aren't massive, they are very comfortable with a great shower. Our room featured a Juliet balcony and lovely views of Cuesta de Gomérez, the pedestrian route to the Alhambra. The room had great soundproofing, so street noise was never a problem, the perfect place to relax after a busy day of sightseeing. The hotel has an on-site restaurant which we tried on our last night. While the menu isn’t extensive, the food was good and the service and staff very pleasant. We also enjoyed the rooftop bar on a couple of occasions—this is an absolute must. The views of the Alhambra and surrounding area are spectacular. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely return!

I really enjoyed the location of and facilities in this hotel. It was walking distance from all areas of interest. The bed was very comfortable, and the Bidet was a lovely surprise. I had breakfast in the hotel one morning, and it was lovely. In addition it isa short walk from Los Diamontes (a restaurant), and it was great to eat there on days where I wanted to get going quickly. I sometimes would start my day there with bottled water and complimentary tapas as a result. It is also very close to Los Manueles (restaurant) which had very good food. The rooftop was a lovely private place to go very early in the morning to see the Alhambra by moonlight. I would recommend highly recommend this hotel to anyone who plays to stay in Granada!

This hotel is perfectly situated to arrive at the Alhambra walking uphill for approximately 15 minutes. There is a taxi and bus area on the main street where you can take bus 31 to the San Nicolas lookout and tour the moorish quarter. It is also not far to the main cathedral and Royal Chapel. Breakfast was fine except for the coffee. Do not ask for a packed lunch as it is not worth it. We had a comfortable room with a sizeable bathroom. All in all we enjoyed our stay!

I booked this hotel with high expectations, but upon arrival, I was suddenly told that the bathroom in my room was broken and I had to move to another hotel. This should have been communicated before my arrival. This hotel was down a steep hill, making it very difficult to move with our luggage.
