Unfortunately the outside is not like it used to be 20 yiears ago……all enclosed. Did not like loud music in the Harboir Bar. It is painful to sit there and enjoy your libations. Left and went to another hotel bar.

Everything!!! One of the best hotels we have stayed. The building, the staff, the service were all outstanding. We also attended the Heritage Tour with Newton Thomas D’Sousa who’s knowledge of the hotel was amazing, he’s a jewel in the Taj Crown

Amazing level of service from all staff. Nothing is too much to ask. The best hotel experience in a decade. Take the Heritage tour offered by the Taj -the hotel is integral to the history of India …museum quality art and artifacts. A highlight of our Mumbai stay … especially as given by Percy!

The Taj Hotel and Taj Tower are truly Jewels of the Sea. The staff at both properties are welcoming and seek to provide the best customer service experience for their guests. From the moment you walk into their immaculate but warm and inviting lobby area you are greeted by friendly and attentive staff such as Tanvi who gave a traditional welcome and blessing for my stay. The rooms in Taj Tower are clean, well equipped, and comfortable. Generally, I go off site for most of my meals and events while on vacation, but the Taj makes you want to stay on property. The food at the Taj is top notch. Each day I enjoyed the excellent breakfast buffet at the Shamiana restaurant which had a variety of breakfast options in the buffet line and from the menu. Dining came with great service including the incredibly efficient Hostess, Shraddha who kept the tables moving without making you feel rushed, to Prashant who is an attentive and considerate waiter who made good dining recommendations and remembered my dining preferences. I would recommend getting up at 8 a.m. to join the yoga class by the pool each morning to start your day and the instructors are excellent. I would highly recommend a visit to the Spa Wellness Center and try their Spa Experience. Dorothy was my masseuse. Combining the serene atmosphere with her massage skills, this was the best spa experience I have ever had and is well worth it. Overall, I highly recommend the Taj Tower for a quality experience when visiting Mumbai.

Amazing interior and grrat service. As a guest of the tower hotel you can use all the fascilities as the palace guest. Lot of live music in all the places, great smell in the reception, amazing food, 3 restaurant options for breakfast. Room is perfest with nice balcony and the view to gateway if india. Highly recomended.

Brilliant hotel. Service in all areas is superb. Pool and garden, restaurants, Taj Club lounge, breakfasts, room service, the building itself, and the staff..... every single one of them. I am very happy to name Netresh the great young chef. Abhinav, the absolute King of Cocktails. Gayatri and Lovesh who made my visits to the Taj Lounge very memorable with their wonderful service and personalities. They will go far. Young Divyam, a very polite and pleasant fella who diligently kept my room spotless. And the lovely Shivani on the front desk of the Palace who knew all these people that i was fortunate enough to meet. If you get one chance to come to the Taj Mahal Palace Mumbai. Take it! I loved it here.

Staying at the Towers is half the price as staying in the ‘main’, older part of the hotel but you are still part of the hotel and closer to the reception and breakfast restaurants. Big spacious room though the shower itself is a good size the shower room is small, that’s the only downside. Expensive to eat in the restaurants but beautiful and have to say the Chinese restaurant was fantastic. Lovely pool area with children having to be with an adult, so very relaxing. Excellent location if you want to be in the heart of things and about an hour from the airport in good traffic!

Amazing hotel from start to end! Even though we were there for just a day, the entire experience was great. A landmark hotel with rich culture and history, and the service and interactions with the staff were brilliant throughout. On the day of check-out we used the hotel as our base as our flight was very late in the evening and the hotel were very accommodating for us to make the most of the day and remain fresh. We kept our luggage with the hotel team, relaxed in the lobby and bar. We even asked if we could freshen up and because we were guests they allowed us to use the gym and shower facilities which was very important for us before heading to the airport for a 10 hours flight, especially as we had spent the whole day in the humidity of Mumbai outdoors.

We were pleasantly greeted and welcomed the moment our transportation dropped us off, to being looked after at the front desk on arrival. We arrived in the morning and were accommodated earlier than expected. We had a sea view room that looked over the gateway of India. Our housekeeper cleaned the room spotlessly ensuring we had everything we needed. We ate in Shamiana restaurant and the food and service were also good. Will certainly stay here again.

We had pleasant stay at the Tower. Staffs were excellent at their jobs and very helpful and well mannered. There were few I felt they hated their job. Room was clean and well done up everyday. There was hint of aging, specially the carpet and wood decor. Breakfast was wonderful accompanied by good service.

My room had a view of the arch Oceanside With a balcony. One, if you open the balcony to enjoy the view, your room becomes almost immediately filled with humidity. The HVAC system is not balanced, so even after wiping everything down, changing the sheets, the room remain damp. My clothes was damp. The bed was damp, and the room smelled moldy. My room remained damp throughout the following day at one point I actually had to change my clothes because the humidity made the clothes I was wearing also damp . I had two meals at the hotel both were mediocre at best. My last meal was a seafood dish that came with scallops unfortunately it’s seen that the scallop had frozen for quite some time and just fell apart in the dish. Overall, the dish was not edible and I asked for a check and left. On two supplications, I was asked whether I was a guest of the hotel which was a little off putting and insulting. Not some as for what they asked, but how it was asked.

Our room was on the 10th floor where airline crew are also booked. Rooms are cleaned at 4 in the morning after one set leaves and before the next arrives. Noise caused woke us up one night. On the second night housekeeping rang door bell at 22.30 , we were asleep, to ask if we wanted anything. This spoilt our stay a bit at a hotel with excellent location, service and amenities

Beautiful historic hotel continues to shine. Modestly sized rooms but the ocean facing ones directly overlook the Gateway of India and have a small balcony. I'd choose the less expensive Tower rooms that give you the same experience as the older historic building. All in all a magnificent hotel that fully lives up to its reputation for overall excellence.

Had an amazing 3 night stay at Taj Mahal Towers in January. Everything about this trip was indulgent, magical and pure luxury. From the blessing on entering the lobby, to the wonderful welcome from Jay at check-in, to entering our room with a view directly to the Gateway to India (it was a pleasure to sit in the room and watch the sunrise through the gateway). The room was modern and clean, the only downside was that our room was opposite the lift but all sea view rooms were on the side of the lifts. We had a very calm and serene breakfast alfresco each morning by the pool and the waiters were extremely attentive. High tea at Sea Lounge was a fabulous experience, with the Indian street food a tasty surprise option. Once again the waiting staff were delightful. Had an amazing 3 night stay at Taj Mahal Towers in January. Everything about this trip was indulgent, magical and pure luxury. From the blessing on entering the lobby, to the wonderful welcome from Jay at check-in, to entering our room with a view directly to the Gateway to India (it was a pleasure to sit in the room and watch the sunrise through the gateway). The room was modern and clean, the only downside was that our room was opposite the lift but all sea view rooms were on the side of the lifts. We had a very calm and serene breakfast alfresco each morning by the pool and the waiters were extremely attentive. High tea at Sea Lounge was a fabulous experience, with the Indian street food a tasty surprise option. Once again the waiting staff were delightful. The Taj Mahal Tower is a beautiful hotel. Our room was spacious and clean. The service was on point. The food at the in-house restaurants was excellent, if pricey. The plumbing needs some work, as our sink was leaking when we entered the room, but staff did patch it right away when notified.

Staying at the Towers is half the price as staying in the ‘main’, older part of the hotel but you are still part of the hotel and closer to the reception and breakfast restaurants. Big spacious room though the shower itself is a good size the shower room is small, that’s the only downside. Expensive to eat in the restaurants but beautiful and have to say the Chinese restaurant was fantastic. Lovely pool area with children having to be with an adult, so very relaxing. Excellent location if you want to be in the heart of things and about an hour from the airport in good traffic!

Stayed for two nights and the staff were amazing from the start to the end. We were pleasantly greeted and welcomed the moment our transportation dropped us off, to being looked after at the front desk on arrival. We arrived in the morning and were accommodated earlier than expected. We had a sea view room that looked over the gateway of India. Our housekeeper cleaned the room spotlessly ensuring we had everything we needed. We ate in Shamiana restaurant and the food and service were also good. Will certainly stay here again.

Welcome received was fantastic! The check-in staff were wonderful and extremely Helpful! Unfortunately, we didn't have a bit of a good experience at the Shamiana restaurant on the second day of our visit. We were told that there was a waiting period and we would be notified via the phone when there would be a place available. We were told it would be about 20 minute waiting period. We waited for about 45 minutes. When we didn't get any phone call, I approached the person at the podium and asked for the availability and I was told the same thing, I need to wait and someone would reach me by phone. So we waited another 45 minutes and by now I was extremely frustrated and went to talk to the person at the podium, and I was told they didn't have my phone number and so they were calling our room. We were sitting just a foot away from the podium outside the restaurant in the lobby. If the protocol is to notify a guest by phone, then the staff MUST confirm that they have the phone number to reach. I did give my phone number when I checked in. When we were asked to go inside the restaurant, we saw so many empty seating available. This experience left a bit of a bad taste for us. Thank you for asking feedback. Hotel locations was good and convenient. Upon checking they did good welcome. But we didn’t get the room service what promised to us. We called multiple time to service desk. The Taj Hotel is an excellent place to stay. On this visit I had a terrible experience with the duty manager at check in. The Director of Operations resolved the issue with professionalism and made us experience the warm welcome that I know The Taj Group of Hotels offer their guest. It takes one staff (especially management) to change a guest mind from returning. We were upgraded to the palace and offered the club facilities. Our room was decorated with balloons, and tasty chocolate cake and fruits where left for us to enjoy. I have stayed here previously (in 2017, 2018 and 2022) and have fond memories of this hotel. On our first stay at the Taj Mahal Towers we where fortune enough to meet the duty manager reception and the manager who welcomed us and made us feel like royalties. We were upgraded to the palace with club facilities. On our next two visits we where automatically upgraded to the palace with club facilities. The Taj in Mumbai with their outstanding service is by far the best there is. We would like to recognize Deepali who truly exemplifies what amazing customer service is about. She was attentive to our every request and very professional. Also Nimonica from the Shamiana provided exemplary service everyday we dined there. These two ladies deserve special recognition . The location of the hotel was perfect. Short, easy walk to all of the major sites in Mumbai. There are plenty of restaurants/cafes walk-in distance from the hotel. Overall, we had an excellent stay. Everyone at the hotel was very friendly, the premisses are beautiful and hospitality is amazing.

The hotel is iconic and has a lot of history. Overall a beautiful hotel in the middle of crowded city. The Taj Mahal Towers is just like any other basic hotel nothing special in fact my stay at Conrad and Sheraton in Bengalore was much modern experience. During my check out the staff never asked me anything regarding my stay here for 6 nights. My wish was complete by staying here

This was one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in. The service and attention to detail were unmatched. Everything was beautiful, clean and service was prompt. I had breakfast and dine at Loya and the food was delicious. The experience at Loya was top tier. If you want a luxury experience in Mumbai, this is the place stay.

The only moment difn’t worth it was the tea time at Sea Lounge. Food and service is below hotel standard. We even got sick with their food and the price is very high considering the bad quality. Overall, the hotel is ammazing and definitely will come back again next time I visit Mumbai!

This is a very upmarket hotel with excellent service. The prices for drink and food are expensive, but that is to be expected. The rooms were comfortable and had very good amenities and the location is great. The heritage tour was the highlight of the stay and I would highly recommend staying here at least once in your life!

Beautiful hotel, in the heart of Colaba, and next to numerous restaurants and the main bazaar. Everything about the hotel is 5 star, particularly the hospitality from the staff. Room was very comfortable and modern with a great bed and lovely shower. Only downsides for me were that there were only x3 lifts which made waiting a regular theme. Also, as someone who frequently uses sauna and steam rooms after using the gym, I was disappointed that there was no sauna or steam room, however there was a steam facility which generated within the cubicle of the shower. Breakfast was ok, nothing to shout about.

This is by far the best hotel I have ever stayed at. And I have stayed at a lot of fancy hotels. The room was spotless and services twice a day, the staff were impeccable, the pool - glorious! And the attention to detail blew my mind. I got balloons and cake for my birthday which was VERY unexpected! But the view from my room - stunning! Thank you for such an enjoyable stay Taj ❤️
