Excellently placed Hotel, close to all that St Ives has to offer, from a fine beach to the Tate Gallery. And only minutes walking from the rail station. Rooms have great sea views. Our room’s facilities were utilitarian but ok for a short stay. The Hotel’s small heated pool is a real asset. The restaurant is functional; the food is a little basic - our fish pies were rather sloppy and would have benefitted from more fish and less potato. Service was friendly and helpful throughout. Overall the hotel offered fair value in popular St Ives.

A lovely stay, made even more perfect with the weather as we could sunbathe and swim in the pool. The room was compact but fine for two nights. Only slightly a problem being 9 months pregnant the bathroom was hard to navigate and fit in the shower but under other circumstances it would have been fine. The amenities were great such as a coffee machine, canned water and biscuits. The view was beautiful however it didn’t pre-warn you that this was over the terrace so people can sit or walk past. The breakfast was lovely and a nice choice of buffet/cooked items. The hotel is clean and all staff really friendly and helpful. Only a few things to improve it: More hooks in the room More ventilation in the room as very hot but nothing seemed to dry Better access to the pool so you don’t have to walk through the restaurant. Overall a great stay :-)

Absolutely beautiful sea view right outside your window and clean and comfortable room. Lots of restaurants within walking distance plus public transport to all the sites make this place one of the best vacation destinations in the world! The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable.

We absolutely loved this hotel. Our room overlooked St. Ives Bay. From our balcony (& even our room), we could see town, watch the tide come in & go out, see the night lights in town, and watch daytime activities on the beach. Made you want to stay in the room all of the time (but we didn't). The staff was helpful, considerate, & friendly. I loved the artwork by "Howard", a local, that was displayed throughout the hotel. Great views from the dining area too. The hotel was clean, quiet, close to town and the beach.

It is a unique hotel right on the rocks over the beach. Staff were excellent as was food and service in the restaurant. 3 minutes from the railway station. It’s a quirky sort of building with an odd mix of decor, but very clean and great bathrooms. Lot’s of steps so not so good if you have trouble with that. Would definitely go again!

Very enjoyable, room on the small side but extremely clean and comfortable. Staff all lovely from the greeting at reception, the help with luggage, bar staff, dining room staff and housekeepers. Will recommend to friends and family. Value for money. Thank you.

Iwe have stayed there many times over the years i tried to book it on the phone nobody answered i wanted 2nights and could only have one the on line booking is rubbish the shower was very smelly in the drain and the shower cubicle far too small the breakfast buffet was cut too the bare minimum very poor cut backs had gone too far

I had a great time at the hotel. It is in an excellent location - right in the heart of St Ives, and the views from the restaurant and our room are breath-taking. The only fault was the price and the fact no hot breakfast was available during our stay - but we received a reimbursement for this (with thanks). The staff were incredibly friendly and the room was clean. Noise could easily be heard in adjacent rooms however - but fortunately this didn't affect the enjoyment too much.

The bed was very comfortable but it was really cold. I think it was because the room was at the end corner of building. My neighbor in next room said that when she and her husband went by that night they could feel the cold air coming out under my door in the very small hallway. It was Oct and very windy.

We enjoyed our stay except the continual sound of a pump going all night. Fab out look and great breakfast. We would stay again but not in that room.

Second stay at Pedn Olva. As usually the servive was excellent. The views are magnificent across the beaches. The rooms are on the small side with tiny bathrooms, which is ok for a couple of nights but think id get fed up with the micro bathroom any longer than that. The view fron the room is unbelievable. Id still fully recommend for a few nights a the best location in st ives and great service..

Really nicely presented hotel in a great location. 5 mins from train station and five mins from the town. Rooms on the smallish side, however the balcony helps as a place to relax. Very friendly and courteous staff so we recommend a stay if you are in the area.

All the staff were very friendly and did there best look after me from the moment I checked in till the moment I left. The room I had was very nice with views over Porthminster Beach on the one side and views over the harbour area on the other. One of the staff called Jack especially looked after me.

We only stayed one night but had a wonderful room with a panoramic views of St Ives. Breakfast was excellent and the staff were very welcoming and helpful. We were aware beforehand that there was no onsite parking and the only downside was finding the hotel. Although there is a post code it doesn't help. You need to park in the station car park. The hotel is then found down a flight of steps.

Beautiful establishment! We cancelled another booking to come here, and we are glad we did. Anyone looking to stay a few days in St Ives should consider Pedn Olva. At this point I feel like it's a must. 😍 Service is stellar. Polite staff and generally great vibes. Great access to beaches, shops, restaurants and the station. A big thumbs up from me 👍

Beautiful establishment! We cancelled another booking to come here, and we are glad we did. Anyone looking to stay a few days in St Ives should consider Pedn Olva. At this point I feel like it's a must. 😍 Service is stellar. Polite staff and generally great vibes. Great access to beaches, shops, restaurants and the station. A big thumbs up from me 👍

Really nicely presented hotel in a great location. 5 mins from train station and five mins from the town. Rooms on the smallish side, however the balcony helps as a place to relax. Very friendly and courteous staff so we recommend a stay if you are in the area.

Loved the rooms and views. Each room had a view of the ocean - bathrooms were a decent size. Love the coffee machines in the room. Fantastic included breakfast. The Gluten Free menu was so appreciated and the food from both menus was great quality. The staff and service was excellent, Revisiting is a definite!! Thank you!

Lovely hotel in fantastic location right on the water. Lots of lovely finishing touches in the room. Great restaurant - dinner and breakfast were both excellent.

Absolutely lush night away without the kids! What a treat - lovely room, amazing view and a lush dinner and breakfast in the restaurant. We always love the St Austell’s Inns and this one did not disappoint!

Excellently placed Hotel, close to all that St Ives has to offer, from a fine beach to the Tate Gallery. And only minutes walking from the rail station. Rooms have great sea views. Our room’s facilities were utilitarian but ok for a short stay. The Hotel’s small heated pool is a real asset. The restaurant is functional; the food is a little basic - our fish pies were rather sloppy and would have benefitted from more fish and less potato. Service was friendly and helpful throughout. Overall the hotel offered fair value in popular St Ives.

Iwe have stayed there many times over the years i tried to book it on the phone nobody answered i wanted 2nights and could only have one the on line booking is rubbish the shower was very smelly in the drain and the shower cubicle far too small the breakfast buffet was cut too the bare minimum very poor cut backs had gone too far

I had a great time at the hotel. It is in an excellent location - right in the heart of St Ives, and the views from the restaurant and our room are breath-taking. The only fault was the price and the fact no hot breakfast was available during our stay - but we received a reimbursement for this (with thanks). The staff were incredibly friendly and the room was clean. Noise could easily be heard in adjacent rooms however - but fortunately this didn't affect the enjoyment too much.

Our room - number 5 - had the perfect view but it was small. We found it really difficult navigate around the room & bathroom easily. When we arrived for our stay (around 4.30) we enquired about a late lunch and it seemed a problem even though the restaurant was almost empty with many spare tables. It took a few minutes to be accommodated by the staff. However, we enjoyed our food & it was served quickly with smiles & efficiency. When we left two days later we realised we had left two hats probably in our room. I have emailed separately to enquire about them on two occasions but not received any acknowledgement for reply. Finally, guests should be really encouraged /reminded not to not drive the very tight lane to the hotel but use station car park as mentioned in confirmation booking. It was a nightmare to negotiate and we had no idea how difficult this would be. Thank you for our stay Claire & Jon

Room 16: There was lots of fluff on the floor of our room, it needed a wet clean as well as vacuuming the basin in the bathroom was very impractical, the shelf above needs to be removed to allow access. the bed needs changing the right hand side has collapsed and leaning outwards. (We did not sleep well) 10/10 for the staffs they have been great with us.

Sue the person who greeted us at the reception desk was superb, friendly, helpful and went above and beyond in the services she provided. The rest of the staff were great as well and friendly! Our stay in the hotel room which had a living room area was very comfortable and the views of the ocean right at your door were awesome! I liked the quirky layout of the room, #19, and its amenities. This hotel is in a great location in St Ives to potter about. Highly recommended!
