Beautiful view of the lake, plus a nice little sitting area at the back of the property right by the water. Only down fall was it room was hot and they hadn't issued out the heat pump remotes yet. I would definitely stay here again.

Our room was spacious and quiet. Bed was comfortable. We even had a view of the lake. Outside seating area was on the shore of the lake; beautiful!! Wifi didn't work in our room, but it did closer to the office and outside.

Close to Halifax but in a quieter area with a nice view. Room was clean and nice with a cool skylight. Decent internet connection. You can chrome cast to the tv which is also nice. Cleanest bathroom I’ve seen anywhere I’ve stayed in a long time. Liked having a kitchenette in the room and large fridge. In walking distance to some good local restaurants and activities. Tim’s, gas, pharmacy right a cross the road. Will definitely stay here again next time I’m in Halifax.

This was such a wonderful surprise. I honestly didn't expect much from a hotel on the edge of Halifax but the staff were very friendly, the room was older but clean and large, and out the back was a lake with maintained walking trails. Great stop on our trip :)

Bed could have been more comfortable and it was noisy. Street traffic was loud but expected. View was best I’ve woken to. TV was difficult to navigate and we called for assistance but did not receive any help. We managed with what we had. No stove or elements so can’t use kitchen other than microwave and fridge. We ordered and picked up food or ate while out.

The problem with this property is the manager,I believe owner.I have never received this much disrespect and poor treatment from any hotel in my life.I arrived at 1pm after 31 hrs on the road with little sleep.I spoke to 2 staff members who checked with the manager.She refused my request. I was informed my room would be ready around 1:15.I asked to speak to the manager.She refused. I went to eat and wait. I returned at 2:50.I went to office and asked to check in and was told to wait until 3pm.I believe this woman was the manager. When I came back 10 minutes later,another woman checked me in without problem.I explained what had happened and asked her tell the manager that I would like to speak to her and left her my contact information.Next day, I asked if my request had been delivered and was told it had.I have not heard from the manager.My problem is with the management of the Stardust Motel and not the staff who were excellent.If I not already paid for my stay,I would have gone somewhere else.My check in was terrible.

It is very clean, comfortable and affordable in a safe neighborhood with a pretty lake behind it. There are restaurants nearby and its an easy drive to Halifax. The negatives are no big deal, but it is odd. No one works in the office. You have to push a button to call someone who may or may not answer. There's a man that lives in one of the rooms and sits outside the office. At first, we thought, "Oh God, we are at a motel where homeless people live", but it end up that he works there. He will not speak to you or get anyone to help you when you can't get ahold of anyone to check in, though. He just sits outside the office and silently observes. The parking lot is tight if you have a big vehicle. No big deal. The homeless guy decided to wait until the lot was full before washing the railing on the 2nd floor balcony, so water was pouring down on all of the vehicles. It didn't hurt anything, but it sure was weird to walk out of the room to see water pouring onto all the vehicles. Apparently the homeless guy heard me say, "What the heck?", because a couple hours later, he randomly confronted me by saying, "Water doesn't hurt nothin!" a couple times. That was the only time he spoke to us. (My husband had said harsher words than, "What the heck", but the homeless guy only confronted me. Not my husband.) When I went to check out, there was another bewildered couple outside of the locked lobby who were trying to get ahold of anyone for a receipt.

Convenient location- close to Halifax Very clean Staff there is so genuinely kind, I thought she was the owner but she indicated she was an employee. She is a gem and I hope owners recognize this! Cleaners on previous stay even asked how we liked it. You can see how hard they work. Don’t think I’ve ever had cleaners ask before. Beautiful view! Would definitely stay again.

The area along the lake was beautiful, and there is a great brewery nearby. The staff was friendly as was the cleaning staff, the only drawback was that the offic wasn't open for service the 2 times I went to speak with them.

I liked that the room had a beautiful view of the lake and having the room service was nice. When I went to check in, it took 10 minutes of standing there waiting for the receptionist to end a phone conversation which was a little frustrating. The room itself had a running toilet and the fridge compressor was so loud when it kicked in it startled me during the night. Also parking in the tiny stalls with the posts so close was a little tricky and would be difficult for someone with accessibility issues.

Timberlea was a random find on the way to next destination. The hotel suited our needs for the price, we liked the added kitchen space but tv was tiny with barely any channels. The view and exterior is very sweet and this small town is really cute and rebuilding well.

Beautiful location on the lake, less expensive than in the city but an easy, short drive right down St. Margaret's Bay Rd. to the Armdale Rotary and into the city. Exceptionally clean. Good Internet. Gas station and Tims nearby which is great for travellers. Also a short drive to Bayer's Lake for shopping. A hidden gem.

The motel was 15 minutes from Halifax. We were close to a lake and there was a sitting area there. A cute restaurant and drugstore across the street was a bonus. There is a full fridge and sink and a small coffee maker. If you plan on preparing a meal, bring what you need. There are no plates or utensils provided.

Absolutely wonderful motel near the water that you can swim in and also sit out on the dock. Very clean, comfortable, and good location close to Halifax and Peggy's Cove. Staff were friendly and the brewery across the street is fantastic - great food and great beer. There is also a little market with a coffee shop, fresh veggies and fruits, and pastries just across from the motel that is wonderful. Will definitely stay again!

A very clean and organized motel with amazing views of the lake that’s less than 10 feet from the back. Friendly staff. Lots of great restaurants and micro-breweries a short distance away.
