The only negative we had was the bar closing on Sunday evening at 10pm, whilst that was okay, we weren’t able to stay in the lounge area to finish our drinks or just to play cards, which we brought with us had to return to our rooms and as these were separate my friend and I had to end our evening. Hotel lounges should be open for use by residents which is usual at least until 11am

the area where your parked your car for £12.00 per night looked like a very run down shack in a shanty town, I did wonder if we should leave the car there would it be there in the morning. The hotel looked nothing like the photo's on the website, more like faulty towers but worse. The first room they showed use was half a room with a bed thrown in the corner. The second room wasn't much better but was a bigger room. To sum the place up it was a very tired and dated 50's hotel which has not been updated since then.

Property is very rundown not tired but exhausted. Everything was to try to save money. Milk in room was sour, breakfast was just cheap, minimum food out watered down juice just awful. I have no idea where the Expedia rating came from it was just budget to the extreme. A lick of paint costs nothing. Walls painted but painted over holes filler costs nothing. On the plus side the guy in reception was lovely. He was also the only guy on breakfast. He was kind and helpful. The room was clean. However being on the top floor with one minuscule lift barely big enough for two which didn’t work into late evening was really unhelpful. Come on owners of The Manor spend a few quid on what could be a lovely hotel. Sorry but a completely honest review.

Really friendly staff. Room had a great view, good bed and recently refurbed bathroom with a good shower. Good location close to town. Parking is a bit of a challenge, but usually some free parking within 200m is available. Overall a great stay thanks!

My room was very nice with a walk-in shower that I asked for. My only fault that there is no one to help with luggage up the few steps to the lift....especially being elderly. Maybe a few more items added to the breakfast menu would be ideal too. My stay was very pleasant.

Very clean helpful receptionist although as a disabled person back door was closed at 9 pm so had to walk round to the front door which was closed at 10pm couldn’t see why the back door wasn’t open until 10pm

Dirty and run down. No heating in the bedroom. No staff to speak of and none to report the lack of heating to after 10pm. Complained in the morning and initially felt ignored. No apology made and was told they would speak to the manager and contact the party lead. Still waiting for contact almost a week later.

Although the hotel was short staffed due to the Indian plane crash the owners had to go back to India due to relatives on the flight, we were very welcomed and looked after. The rooms and the communal areas were kept very clean. We would go back again next time we were in Exmouth.

For the £48 I paid it was excellent value for money. I had a lovely large room with see views. It was clean and the window opened so that I could take in the sea air. The bathroom was clean and fresh. The bed was comfy, I slept sound and woke to the dawn chorus. Didn't have breakfast as I didn't need to.

We were totally impressed by The Manor Hotel . The receptionist was really friendly and knowledgeable . Our room had an amazing view ,bedroom was exceptionally clean smelt really clean and fresh too . Breakfast was great value for money plenty to eat and freshky cooked. 5star All the staff were extremely helpful and welcoming . We will definitely stay again. Exmouth was a grest place to visit lovely walks and scenery .

Great location. Nice clean rooms. Friendly staff. Unfortunately next door neighbors were arguing and we could hear very clearly, so I would say the soundproofing isn’t great.

The young men monitoring the front desk and the dining facilities were the best! Very helpful with assistance in what was needed.The hotel was close enough to the town centre but was on a slope. The room was very clean, but the bed was also on a slight slope- that was fixed by inserting a pillow under the mattress. The duvet was kind of heavy for the summer season.This hotel was next to a primary school that was quite noisy at times. The food served at dinner was excellent. The breakfast items were good. We would stay there because of the kind staff, the good food ( an excellent chef!) and also because of the cleanliness of the room.

First let me say that I have no problem at all with the staff, they're lovely, polite, welcoming, helpful etc. But the rooms are tired, dated, very plain & functional. The single glazed windows mean that traffic noise and passing people are very audible from seafront facing rooms. The sea view is distant and limited.

A 300+yr old building which had some really quirky areas that added not subtracted from the overall ambience. Well located to town centre and beach. Staff numbers had been reduced due to a recent tragedy but credit to those remaining - especially the front of house/ receptionist & cook who worked like a trojan (1 man).

Staff numbers had been reduced due to a recent tragedy but credit to those remaining - especially the front of house/ receptionist & cook who worked like a trojan (1 man).

A 300+yr old building which had some really quirky areas that added not subtracted from the overall ambience. Well located to town centre and beach. The only negative we had was the bar closing on Sunday evening at 10pm, whilst that was okay, we weren’t able to stay in the lounge area to finish our drinks or just to play cards, which we brought with us had to return to our rooms and as these were separate my friend and I had to end our evening. Hotel lounges should be open for use by residents which is usual at least until 11am

Property is very rundown not tired but exhausted. Everything was to try to save money. Milk in room was sour, breakfast was just cheap, minimum food out watered down juice just awful. I have no idea where the Expedia rating came from it was just budget to the extreme. A lick of paint costs nothing. Walls painted but painted over holes filler costs nothing. On the plus side the guy in reception was lovely. He was also the only guy on breakfast. He was kind and helpful. The room was clean. However being on the top floor with one minuscule lift barely big enough for two which didn’t work into late evening was really unhelpful. Come on owners of The Manor spend a few quid on what could be a lovely hotel. Sorry but a completely honest review.

We were totally impressed by The Manor Hotel . The receptionist was really friendly and knowledgeable . Our room had an amazing view ,bedroom was exceptionally clean smelt really clean and fresh too . Breakfast was great value for money plenty to eat and freshky cooked. 5star All the staff were extremely helpful and welcoming . We will definitely stay again. Exmouth was a grest place to visit lovely walks and scenery .

My room was very nice with a walk-in shower that I asked for. My only fault that there is no one to help with luggage up the few steps to the lift....especially being elderly. Maybe a few more items added to the breakfast menu would be ideal too. My stay was very pleasant.

The young men monitoring the front desk and the dining facilities were the best! Very helpful with assistance in what was needed.The hotel was close enough to the town centre but was on a slope. The room was very clean, but the bed was also on a slight slope- that was fixed by inserting a pillow under the mattress. The duvet was kind of heavy for the summer season.This hotel was next to a primary school that was quite noisy at times. The food served at dinner was excellent. The breakfast items were good. We would stay there because of the kind staff, the good food ( an excellent chef!) and also because of the cleanliness of the room.

From the moment we entered the hotel we were made to feel welcome, the young man on reception was very helpful and friendly he offered us an upgrade to a sea view room and honestly could not fault the view or the lovely sunsets. The room was spacious and clean, with everything we could need on hand. we did not eat at the hotel as we were visiting family but from the glimpses into the restaurant it looked very nice and welcoming. I will definitely stay here again.,

The hotel has been nicely refurbished and is in a good location, close to both the town and the beach. The reception staff were incredibly helpful and nothing was too much trouble!

I wasn’t impressed by the reception. When we arrived at night, we rang the doorbell telling the receptionist that we have a reservation and would like to check in. The man was asking me if we came to the right hotel with doubtful voice and let us stood outside for quite some time. It was already late, chilly and we had heavy bags. After for a while waiting outside, the man came down to let us in and told us someone already checked in with my name and took our room so I had to prove my identity which was no problem. They told us that we are lucky as there was only one room left so that they could put us to that room. But it wasn’t the twin bed I booked and there was no explanation nor apology. I booked twin bed as I was with my friend to complete a sport competition the next day. I understand it would have been a nightmare if there wasn’t any room left and I’m glad they put me in the room. However, I don’t understand how this even happened (did they even check the ID for a check in?). Overall, it was a quite stressful and unpleasant experience.

Do not stay here, awful old building, stay at the Premier Inn 100m away, 2/3rds of the price and twice as good. We viewed three rooms, 4. 14 & 28. All depressingly tired and awful, we walked out and found another hotel.
