Motel 6-Sacramento, CA - South Sacramento and Elk Grove

There is a metal fence around the motel with an automatic gate. Felt that my car was safe. The parking lot was well lit. There is a Denny’s 700 feet away so if you are tired of driving it is convenient to eat then hit the hay

The property is gated so I we felt safe... but they don't provide you nothing of toiletries like shampoo conditioner, makeup remover towels, hair dryer microwave or nothing you expect to have in a motel/hotel basic stuff like that...they have a vendor machine so you can purchase this items all through I didn't get to check it out since I was ready to shower.. but the two persons we've met were helpful and friendly...

The property was clean. The room was clean. The pool needs a lot of maintenance.

I like that the property offered security gate service for a guest. The property was clean, safe and well maintained.

The property was gated and had big brick walls around it which made it very quiet. Also had many nice areas for our dogs.

The microwave was at the front office where the vending/ice machines were and My room was at the far end of the office. It was inconvenient to wait for the use of the microwave in which they only had 1 and i had to drive to the front to use the microwave or get ice. Coffee was served at a specific time, no coffee pots in the room but that was ok. Please put the microwaves in the room and I will gladly book a room there again.

Upon arrival, I saw that the motel had a gated fence. It made me feel safer. I was checked in quickly. The room and bathroom was clean. I booked a room with just a fridge and no microwave or coffee maker. The price will reflect the amenities you want. Although the room was a non smoking room, it had a smoking smell in the room. Other the smell, everything was good. I would stay here again for the price. This location is cleaner than most Motel 6.

If you’ve been to one Motel 6 you’ve been to them all. Room smelled like smoke and sheets had burn marks from ashes. Sink area and bathroom area dirty, lots of hair left from last guest. Shower pressure was basically a trickle of water. Surrounding area of the facility wasn’t too bad, been at worse but there are homeless near by. The complex is gated and you need your room key to get in the fence line. The office has a lot of security surveillance. Only stay here if you’re strapped for cash or no other alternative.

The room was dirty. The walls had splatters of who knows what. Every single wall. The sink was dirty. Looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months. The bathroom had urine splatter on the walls by the toilet. The shower curtain was moldy. There was hair in the towels. I couldn’t use anything in that room because it was gross.

The rooms are infested with cockroaches. Don’t stay here! They changed my room and it’s still infested and super dirty. I had to leave rig by away. Will be reporting them to the local health department.

Other than the convenience of the location, Absolutely nothing. I checked in, stayed for 2 days..i am not from sacramento and I literally dont know ANYONE here, i slept for the most part of the 2 days...when i went to go pay for an additional night, the staff said i was no longer able to rent a room there due to TRAFFIC!?. Anyways...these rooms were ridiculously over priced...the firt room i tried to rent was an accessible room that was the dirtiest room ive ever seen. The shower corners and floors were black as f*** and it smelled really bad..i quickly asked for another room and he changed it...the second room was much better but it did have roaches at night and the bathtub wasnt very clean....it also had a mildew type of smell coming from the air conditioner. The microwave in the lobby had no glass plate in it....and the rooms dont come with 1 but they come with a fridge. Anyways...i wouldnt suggest renting a room from here....ever !

The room was nice, but you could tell it hadn’t been cleaned properly. The floor hadn’t been swept, there was something nasty and white looking on the footboard of the bed. The bathroom wasn’t cleaned at all. Toilet was dirty and it look like someone took a bm because I could still see little chucks at the bottom of the toilet bowl. The toilet seat was dirty and so was the shower. I wiped the toilet seat twice and dirt came off both times. There were long strands of hair all throughout the shower and bathroom that did not belong to me.

Woke up covered with a bed bug infestation. My daughter and I left immediately

Decent location and convient having gate acess to the parking and rooms area. Non smoking room still smelled like smoke and bathroom tiles didn't look fully clean.

As far as the room goes. The room was ok Just very small, no extras here!

Rooms were nice and clean. Only thing I didn't like was that the bed was very uncomfortable. You can feel the springs inside of the bed.

Good for a no-frills motel, and you shouldnt expect frills at a Motel 6. It's clean, updated, and the right amount of space. No real lobby, but a front desk with a friendly staff member. There's coffee available in that room in the morning. My only complaint is that there wasn't any shampoo even when advertised as supplying comp toiletries (maybe I should've asked the front desk butnI was too tired). Also my TV had an unnavigatable menu pop up and I couldn't control anything with the remote. I just used my laptop and the wifi to stream for entertainment.

The woman who checked me in was extremely nice and allowed me to check in early because my room was ready. I absolutely appreciated this!

Upon my arrival I asked for a earlier checkin and 1st floor. Jackie stated they had nothing available fitting my criteria until 3. I also asked for this in special requests. Jashan and Ankiet refused to write to me threatened to call the police on me, I'm deaf and hearing impaired and they would not write and kept talking no matter how many times I told them. Then they wrote after I had to scream and yell at them to respect and write to me as I am deaf/hearing impaired. My hot water didn't work and I was unable to shower they refused to fix it. The refrigerator in my room was unplugged and leaking all over and they again refused to fix it come clean it up and remove the refrigerator stating they could not do anything until the morning. Unacceptable! I want a FULL Refund IMMEDIATELY from this property. In addition. They also refused to give me change for the laundry facility in site. There were young women walking around half naked and with exposed behinds. I was treated horribly here and there were dogs running around the property belonging to room 121 or 122 along that area and also a white Stafford terrier (pit bull) off leash. My dog was attacked at another one of your properties in Rancho Cordova on Olson avenue from a dog (,pit bull) not on a leash. I will never stay at another motel 6 after all of the horrible experiences and ways I have been treated

Everything is good but our Tv is all Fuzzy can’t watch any channel, I called the front desk they said they would be up in 5 minutes, it’s been over an hour, and they still haven’t came, I’m still waiting as I post this

We were refused service with no explanation, no empathy, and no recourse except to "Call Expedia if you want a refund." This was after we booked the room and were assured that it will be ready and that the booking through Expedia will be fine.

They were rude to me-and my daughter. Refused to move me to another room due to noise, saying they were fully booked, only for someone else to tell me they COULD have moved me, because there was PLENTY of rooms. Lied about running my card for payment and how they handled the deposit. Told me I could not stay again because I WAS RUDE.

Spray for roaches. I've never stayed at a Motel 6 and their where roaches. For a hotel, that's pretty bad! Saw a live roach crawling on the freshly made bed as soon as I entered the room for the first time. Booked & payed online but once I arrived the guy at the front desk asked for a cash deposit. Ok, that seems normal for check in so I handed him a credit card. He didn't want it and asked for cash. Red flag when off in my head so I said I only have a credit card. Then he asked me if I had a lesser a In cash above and beyond what I paid for the room online. I said I only have my credit card then he said never mind that's ok. Which stuck me as very odd. So I looked up the reviews which I didn't read before booking their 2 star hotel. Reviewers where posting the same experience. Just needed the room for the night so we didn't bring all our suitcases in but did stay anyway. The mattresses are equivalent to something (cheap) you'd buy for your kids bed. For grownups, the mattresses terrible! I woke up with a back ache! We had 2 doubles & both mattresses sucked. One mattress was caved in and should be replaced. When I laid on it I felt like my body way leaning to the left and my legs were higher than my head. That mattress needs to be replaced bc it's worn out.

Clean rooms, gated parking, had issues checking in booking through Expedia but Expedia and the motel staff sorted it out in a timely manner.

The price an location close to the freeway is a plus

Easy access to freeway

Not really unsafe but just kind of a run-down area.

Location is convenient right off the 99 freeway, but far enough away to avoid freeway noise. Costco down the street was nice to fill the gas tank

Gated hotel with friendly staff. Area around hotel is sketchy and there are some long term residents that sometimes get a little loud at night. Not many options for food nearby. Bed was comfortable and room was clean.

Convenient to many attractions

I love the location of the Motel. I love the Indian restaurants and Supermarkets around the plane. The Motel is looked after good. It's clean and the staff are friendly.

Friendly staff, clean rooms with newer comfortable beds. Gated property for added security. Extremely quiet with walkable Denny’s.

I like that the air conditioning worked really well. I didn’t like that when I got there they told me that my reservation had been canceled, but then they reinstated it. I don’t know, how or why my reservation got canceled, but I’m happy that it got fixed. I didn’t like that they had cockroaches. I did not like that they didn’t have a coffee maker in the room but I did like the coffee that they served in the office. It was really good.
