Don't really know where all those good reviews come from. The 'free' parking is actually street parking, at your own risk and IF you can find any. Staff is gone by 6 pm and I had a tweaker next door talking to ghosts all night long till 3 am (and LOUD) plus a nice trio of working girls coming 'home' at 3:01 picking up right after the tweaker left. Mattress as soft as a rock. Check in was decent. Room borderline clean.

Ich war das erste mal dort. Es war leider schmutzig und wurde nicht gereinigt, lediglich wurde Bett gemacht, an einem Tag keine frischen Handtücher. Erst auf Anfrage. Kein Frühstück, obwohl es bezahlt war an einem Tag. Es ist sehr seht laut dort.

We booked 2 rooms. The rooms we were given were in the basement (lower ground floor). One of the room had a strong unpleasant smell and we were forced to share one room. Expedia, after discussing the situation with the owner/manager Mr Shani, have written, promising a part refund for the room we were not able to use but now weeks after, have reneged and offered no payment. This is most disappointing especially in light of the inconvenience and the dishonesty.

I stayed for 1 night at Hotel Garni. The check-in was easy, and our host was very kind to us. He gave us great recommendations about activities we could do and a shopping center which was close by. The room and our beds were very clean. The heating worked very well and we had hot water without it running out. It was a little bit difficult to haul our luggage down the stairs, but our host helped us with our suitcases. The only detail I would point out is the check-out time. I had seen on the page that our check-out was at 1pm, as we were traveling we decided to sleep in on Sunday and start getting ready to leave around 1-2 hours before check-out. We thought we had enough time, however the cleaning personnel informed us we had to leave our room by 12pm. As we were still getting dressed and packing our stuff, they were patient with us and waited until we finished. I think it's important for future guests to be aware of this and ask the host the day before check-out to confirm the time at which one should leave. As everything else was amazing I really feel like it was just this detail that made me reconsider giving 5 stars.

Check in via Schlüsselsafe, kleines Zimmer mit nettem Balkon. Sehr sauber! Schönes offensichtlich frisch renoviertes Bad. Sehr gut gelegen in einer Seitenstrasse nur 2 Minuten von der Strassenbahn und von dort schnell bei der Messe oder HBF. Gerne wieder!

Værelset var meget slidt, tapet han ned fra væggen og hul ind i muren foroven ved vinduet, så man fik tanken, håber ikke der er mus eller andet.

Overall, it was a pleasant experience however there are a few things which could be improved. The beds were really comfortable and the room was tidy and quiet. However, there weren't many electrical sockets around the bed which makes it even difficult to have your cell phone around you. Make sure you have at least one socket for charging the phone for example or maybe give the guests an extension cord. Secondly, there is no one to attend at the reception desk. As a work around maybe use a bell so that the guests can ring it if they need something. It was quite weird that I had to check out of the hotel by just leaving the keys on the table.

I think it's important for future guests to be aware of this and ask the host the day before check-out to confirm the time at which one should leave. As everything else was amazing I really feel like it was just this detail that made me reconsider giving 5 stars.

I stayed for 1 night at Hotel Garni. The check-in was easy, and our host was very kind to us. He gave us great recommendations about activities we could do and a shopping center which was close by. The room and our beds were very clean. The heating worked very well and we had hot water without it running out. It was a little bit difficult to haul our luggage down the stairs, but our host helped us with our suitcases. The only detail I would point out is the check-out time. I had seen on the page that our check-out was at 1pm, as we were traveling we decided to sleep in on Sunday and start getting ready to leave around 1-2 hours before check-out. We thought we had enough time, however the cleaning personnel informed us we had to leave our room by 12pm. Great value for the price I paid, safe , easy walkable area. Only complaint would be not always someone at front desk so you have to call for a code to get in , which may be hard if you just arrived internationaly and don’t have a phone plan setup yet.

Overall, it was a pleasant experience however there are a few things which could be improved. The beds were really comfortable and the room was tidy and quiet. However, there weren't many electrical sockets around the bed which makes it even difficult to have your cell phone around you. Make sure you have at least one socket for charging the phone for example or maybe give the guests an extension cord. Secondly, there is no one to attend at the reception desk. As a work around maybe use a bell so that the guests can ring it if they need something. It was quite weird that I had to check out of the hotel by just leaving the keys on the table.

Bra hotell att övernatta på. Enkelt men rent. Bra läge, tog inte många minuter med kollektivtrafik in till Altstadt. Plus i kanten för att peronalen ordnade MC-parkering åt mig :)

Check in via Schlüsselsafe, kleines Zimmer mit nettem Balkon. Sehr sauber! Schönes offensichtlich frisch renoviertes Bad. Sehr gut gelegen in einer Seitenstrasse nur 2 Minuten von der Strassenbahn und von dort schnell bei der Messe oder HBF. Gerne wieder!

Nie wieder. Es war schmutzig und laut. Wir hatten mit Frühstück gebucht aber es gab keins. Der Frühstücksraum sah aus wie lange nicht mehr benutzt. Die Rezeption war an keinem Tag besetzt.

Avoid! It is not guaranteed that the hotel staff will be reliable or trustworthy in honouring your booking. There are better hotels in the area. My experience with Hotel Garni was most unfortunate, as well as with the Hotels.com booking platform. The hotel staff messaged me the day prior to my arrival and said that reception was open until 8 pm. I arrived at 7:45 pm, coming straight from the airport after landing at 6:15 pm. I buzzed the front desk and no one replied. A resident of the building let me and my 79 YO mother in and there was no one at the reception desk! I had to find another hotel for the night because this property's reception staff left early. I went to the property the following day to ask for my money back. The reception staff member denied any responsibility and argued with me as to the truthfulness of my assertion that I was at the property at 7:45 pm. I felt like I was being called a liar. I had proof that I was there at 7:45 pm: my Google maps journey, as well as my call log when trying to call the number at reception (I couldn't get through as there was an issue with my international calling plan). To resolve the issue, the staff member. charged me a cancellation fee and refunded the remaining two nights of our three night stay. Once I returned home I attempted to get the cancellation fee returned to me from Hotels.com. Unfortunately, they would not help despite the evidence that the property was in the wrong.
