Old Town Hotel

Meh. I left after 4 days, even though my trip to Berlin continued. Maybe I booked when the rates were high but I felt as if I didn’t get enough for my money. The hotel is part of a typical old Berlin apartment building, renovated cheaply to become a no-frills hotel. The funky courtyard is indeed quiet but internal sounds are amplified due to a lack of carpeting and cheap doors. I had a very small, very clean, room with a comfortable bed and a decent shower. No refrigerator, no safe, and NO BLACKOUT CURTAINS. Bring an eye pillow. I didn’t do breakfast but if the undrinkable courtesy coffee is any indication, I chose well. High point is its proximity to the superb late-night Super Shawarma spot across the street.

Very good location right by tram stop and about a mile from Alexanderplatz. Comfortable room and very quiet as well away from road. Kettle in room plus free coffee from reception was a plus!

Room was clean, well furnished, hotel was quiet and kitchen was well stocked for a short stay. Also right on M4 tram line and in a good location/neighborhood with many stores and places to eat nearby. Front desk was helpful and responsive.

Lovely room, huge bed, and a kettle :) Set in a quiet court yard close to the tram stop so getting about is easy. The staff are welcoming, friendly & speaking in English and other languages happy to help us find our way to the Mercedes Arena for a concert. A continental breakfast each morning with freshly baked bread buns & will make gluten free for you if needed. Well worth stopping over.

A secret gem. Unassuming exterior, but with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. Patient helpful staff, delicious breakfast, convenient transportation nearby, great shower!

Wir waren zu dritt, die Unterkunft war sauber und perfekt gelegen. Das Personal war ebenso sehr nett, wir durften auch eine Stunde vorher einchecken.

Ich bin nun schon Stammgast und kann nur immer wieder sagen, ich fühle mich hier sehr wohl. Sauberkeit, geschmackvolle Zimmer und freundliches Personal.

Ich bin oft mit meinem Mann in dem Hotel und immer sehr zufrieden. Die Zimmer sind geschmackvoll gestaltet und es ist sehr sauber. Das Personal ist stets freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Ich bin bereits das 3. mal hier und war immer sehr zufrieden. Die Zimmer sind sehr geschmackvoll und die Sauberkeit absolut gut.

Vi trivdes godt. Hotellet ligger i øst Berlin, mange kjekke restauranter fra alle nasjonaliteter i gatene utenfor hotellet, også gatene bak hotellet. Ca 30 min å gå til Aleksander plass Ingen støy på rommet, fra trafikk. Sentralt beliggenhet. Tram 4 ,gikk rett utenfor , bare 3 stopp til Aleksanderplass. Lurt å kjøpe dags pass, eller mer, for bruk på alle baner og buss.Gode senger, god dusj. Eneste jeg har å utsette er at det var dårlige puter. Ellers helt topp.

Koselig, lite byhotell med særpreg. Vennlig betjening. God frokost, med lite utvalg ved langvarig opphold. Forferdelige hotellputer.

Stay was good and location good to get into the city. Only downsides pillows in room were awful one provided per person and was more of a cushion than pillow. Breakfast also at 12 euro per person. was not good value. 4 thin slices of kiwi, orange and melon few slices of ham cheese and two boiled eggs. I would stay again but ask for additional pillows. Recommend the breakfast at the Bakery two doors away.

Vi hadde et fint opphold, veldig hyggelig betjening og ansatte som virkelig gjorde alt for at vi skulle trives. Men varme rom, lite utlufting og en liten vifte med et vindu og 3 personer i rommet.

This hotel is conveniently located in the vibrant Prenzlauerberg neighborhood. It's directly on a tram line, but also inside the inner courtyard of an apartment block so it's very quiet. It has a modern charm to the rooms and décor. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Det låg väldigt bra till för transporter. Rummet hade ingen luftkonditionering och kan nog bli varmt på sommaren. Det var enkelt och trevligt att bo där. Bra frukost.

Sehr tolles kleines und liebevoll geführtes Hotel. Wurden sehr nett und herzlich empfangen. Das Frühstück ist ausreichend und lecker und generell waren alle sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich. Tolle Lage und trotzdem ruhig.

Ich war bereits mehrmals in diesem Hotel und kann nur wiederholen, sehr freundliches Personal, sauber und gemütliche Zimmer ( individuell eingerichtet ) . Ich fühle mich immer wieder wohl dort.

O quarto tinha cheirinho de chá e uma decoração super fofa. Trazia um ar muito aconchegante e eu fiquei muito curiosa pra saber o que usavam pra aromatizar o ambiente. A cama é muito confortável e tem 2 almofadas, além do travesseiro, pra equilibrar altura e densidade. Nos deixou bastante incomodados o fato de que o aquecedor praticamente parava de funcionar durante a noite. O quarto ficava mais frio e nitidamente não saía calor da calefação, o que não conseguimos resolver, mesmo conversando com a equipe, que informou que eles não desligavam nada pela noite. O banheiro tem um espaço ok, mas sem suporte para sabonetes e produtos para cabelo, o que torna tudo mais difícil, além da cortina que fica colando nas pernas durante o banho (tenho pavor). O café da manhã foi o melhor que ja comi na vida. Eles entregam uma bandeja montada com pães, frutas, café, leite, queijos... tudo bem farto e, se quiser, pode repetir ou pegar mais itens que ficam de fora por falta de espaço inicialmente. O atendimento da equipe toda foi extremamente cortês (só vou fazer uma ressalva pro atendente da última noite que foi desnecessariamente sarcástico com minha preocupação ao retornar ao hotel e ver que estava fechado no horário em que fomos informados que estaria aberto, pois precisávamos retirar as malas. Mas ele sozinho não estraga o restante). O hotel fica numa avenida movimentada, mas é um prédio de fundos com outras 2 torres residenciais, então não pega os ruídos da rua.

Can’t say enough about the staff, especially Trostin. He was so helpful and friendly, great guy! The tram stop is just about immediately out the door that can take you to Alexanderplatz and at that point connect to other areas of the city and outwards. Very nice breakfast fresh fruit, cheese meats and amazing bread rolls. Can’t say enough about the friendly staff, the cleanliness of the rooms and the convenient area. Highly recommend Al Dente (Italian restaurant across the street) as well as the local Blue Label (typical German style food) within walking distance around the block. You’ve got to try the Blue Labels potatoes pancakes with salmon and their delicious schnitzel! Both establishments recommendations from Trostin. Great price, great staff, great breakfast!!

Roligt hotel som ligger tilbagetrukket fra vejen beliggende i Prenzlauer Berg. M stop med gode forbindelser til både Alexanderplatz og Bahnhof lige uden for døren. Mange fine spisesteder, cafeer, bagerier mm indenfor gåafstand. Morgenmaden gennemsnitlig men god service.

Desværre var morgenmaden i den tynde ende i weekenden, men var mandag og tirsdag

Frühstück sehr liebevoll angerichtet und abwechslungsreich. Jedoch die Brötchen waren aufgebacken und nicht so lecker.

Väldigt bra boende, nära till kommunikationer och fina områden. Det var rent och städat och väldigt tillgänglig personal. Frukosten var bara okej.

I found the staff to be extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast was hearty and delicious and free apples could be enjoyed at anytime.

L'hotel si trova all' interno di un cortile. Scoprirete una sistemazione accogliente e pulita. Le camere sono arredate con gusto e la colazione è abbondante, di qualità e servita con cura e gentilezza. La posizione è ottima per visitare la città e nei dintorni ci sono molti ristoranti dove mangiare.
