Extremely clean and spacious room. Very quiet. The bed was super comfortable and the pillows were perfect. Excellent detail to safety precautions on who can enter the complex and access the elevator. The staff were very helpful.

My husband and i had an amazing stay here! The staff were incredibly kind! The hotel itself is very clean and quiet! The casino was great as well! We will definitely be coming back for another stay soon! They also have security that patrols the hotel and outside area which made us feel sage as we do not travel much or go to hotels! Definitely a bonus!

Lovely hotel. Reception staff very helpful, let us check in at 2pm. Room was impeccable, bed so comfy, black out curtain amazing. Free parking outside. Would definitely stay again.

What a nice hotel!! Extremely clean. The suites are large and very well equipped. Friendly front end staff. Tons if parking. One of two elevators was out of service but it was ok, we took the stairs. Conveniently attached to a casino. Good restaurant in the casino.

The room was not appropriate and ready for check-in. The bathroom was unclean: dirt stains and glued hair on the shower walls and bathtub. If we were to take a shower upon our arrival, we'd let them know right away. Very disappointing.

I stayed at the hotel on Saturday night and was totally disgusted by the shower walls covered in black long hair, obviously this room was not cleaned to it’s potential from the last person. I wish I could attach pictures

Stay overall is always good. Just seem to find hair in the bathroom, put down the bath mat and two long black hairs were on it. Definitely not mine….that said, I enjoy the convenience of it. I do wish they would have coffee in the rooms though.

It was alright... nothing around it. Wasn't the cleanest. Coffee cup was unwashed in cupboard, cup rings on nightstand, shower floor is not clean. They need an extreame scrub on that tile floor. I washed the tub and shower myself. The bathtub tap was kinda busted? There is no room service. I put the tidy up sign on door while we were gone all day left 5 bucks on table for them, no one passed by to tidy up and leave clean towels. Apparently you need to tell front desk u want a tidy? We had to grab clean towels from front desk. The king bed sheets and pillows were all comfy. Couch for sitting was really nice. Big tvs. Wifi was great. The people at the desk don't say much, hi -bye... nothing? Ask if everything ok? Say good morning? Overall it was Meh. The casino food girl (pizza wraps) was amazing, she washed her hands a million times while doing our order. So that was nice to see. But honestly probably wouldnt return.

Our room was clean, bright (various options for lighting) and comfortable. The mattress was super comfortable with lots of pillows. The heater/airconditioner was easy to use and worked wonderfully The bathroom as spacious, bright and the shower was great.

The hotel is nice with spacious rooms but, the bed is very uncomfortable with no supportive mattress, the light bulbs are 2 watts, room is dark and dim when the sun sets and the TV doesn't have 30 channels to pick from with the only options being; news, sports, children's, french and the weather channel! The check-in time at 4pm is not ideal and when arriving there were 7 people in line waiting to check-in.

All hallway conversation and noice can be heard while in bed. I mean you can hear them whispering and what they are saying. Room was clean and very comfortable. The most outlet for electronics and usb charging I have ever seen.

We were placed in a room near the elevator. Every time the elevator stopped on our floor it made multiple annoying chimes that were very audible while we were trying to sleep. There seemed to be very little soundproofing in the room as we could hear every door click and conversation in the hallways. The door also let a lot of light into the room. If you’re a light sleeper or sensitive to sound, stay away!

Great Blue Heron rooms are spacious and clean, with nice large bathrooms with a deep tub. The only downside is the lighting is soft and moody, not enough light to read in bed. They had LED lights that might of helped with this problem but ours didn’t work on either side of the bed. There is a food room on the main floor just past the elevators where they offer free coffee and tea in the morning as there is no coffee maker in the rooms. The beds are comfortable. The staff are very friendly and pleasant to deal with. The eatery and restaurant (in the casino right beside the hotel) food was good and the staff were very friendly and personable

Very clean and spacious, the decor and design is modern and gorgeous. The bathroom had a lovely deep tub and spotless. The bed was very comfortable and overall, we had a fantastic stay. The staff were excellent and helpful. The only thing worth mentioning was no coffee machine in the room however on the first floor had the room which called the eatery where coffee and tea is available. Can’t wait for our next visit.

Staff was friendly but a bit unprofessional on check in. On check out asked for a slightly later checkout and was told that we could have ‘a few extra minutes because the hotel was full that night’. First, having worked in the industry, not how housekeeping works, not every room starts getting cleaned at checkout time. Second, don’t appreciate being flat out lied to— there were over a dozen rooms available on Expedia to book. Fine, we left at 11:15, but the customer service experience was appalling

We arrived early and were able to check-in early so that was helpful. The staff were very nice, the hotel was comfortable, quiet and in a very pretty area - gorgeous nature around, especially in the fall. The room was spacious. Check out the beautiful Indigenous mural outside! We would definitely stay there again.

It was close to Port Perry so after a bit of shopping in the cute town and dinner headed to hotel. It was new, clean, quiet and short walk to casino.

We’ve stayed here a few times and generally like the value for money. Not big gamblers so we stay here for its proximity to a local auto racing track. The hotel is pretty isolated so there’s no amenities right near the hotel. Closest town is Port Perry about 15 minutes or so. The rooms are quite nice. There is dining on site but we didn’t take advantage of that. Would’ve liked a bit of a better morning coffee/breakfast option included with your stay like other chains but I’m sure they want you to use their on site restaurant and get a few bucks that way. The rooms have a mini fridge but no microwave or coffee maker which I think should be standard in any room these days. The rates are fairly reasonable for a nice, clean and modern room. It works for our needs.

The hotel itself is beautiful - our room was spacious and clean and the hotel and grounds are well maintained. Parking was free and the staff was professional, quick and helpful. The location is pretty much in the middle of nowhere so be prepared to drive in and out of town if you need anything that isn’t available in the convenience store across the road. The only dining option within 9km, other than Tim Hortons, is at the casino restaurant next door. It was reasonably priced and the food was good. Not fancy, a bit loud and felt rushed, but it’s convenient if you don’t feel like driving anywhere. If we’re in the area again, we will definitely stay at the Great Blue Heron Hotel.

A little out-of-the-way... but the drive out from more populated areas is worth it. The landscape is beautiful with rural charm, which likely will not last long given the rate of urban sprawl in Southern ON. Hotel is modern... in the middle of the woods. Staff is very friendly and cooperative.

Food was great in the restaurant, however they need more staff. It took quite a bit of time to place our order and a long time to get it. When we asked why so long a manager came over and told us exactly what time we sat down and that our food takes longer to cook than other food. Ignoring that it was an hour before we even placed our order. She was not friendly, no apologies and in our opinion shouldn’t be the person who should be trying to make customers comfortable.

Everything was as good as one should expect at todays hotel prices. Morning coffee was good but a light serve yourself breakfast would also be nice since there are no bakeries near the hotel. The restaurant at the casino was very good. Enjoyed our stay.

Check-in was great. Receptionist was friendly. The room was spotlessly clean and everything worked. No restaurant in the hotel, so we ate at the restaurant in the casino, 1 minute next door. Menu was limited but food was tasty. Good service there.

Good hotel at a very reasonable price. However, I did have a couple of issues. Coffee/ tea was not provided in the room. It was possible to get free coffee/ tea downstairs but only from 7:00 am until noon. Outside of that you have to buy coffee in the casino.
