Amazing location, really quiet area and great local food nearby. We hired a car and driving around the island is really easy and everything is close by so I highly recommend this. The view is one of the highlights, facing perfectly for a sunrise. The pools aren’t heated so take some getting used to! Overall, cant fault anything, amazing stay.

Hôtel très bien situé en bordure de la Caldeira. Les chambres sont propres, la salle de bains mériterait un coup de jeune. Possibilité de parking tres appréciable. Le point négatif est le choix au pdj très limité, sans reassort et de piètre qualité. La vue est magnifique.

Excellent accommodation and location. We had a superb room and private pool overlooking the Caldera that was cleaned and all towels and bedding exchanged daily. Very helpful staff, particularly Angelo the property manager and Fanis in the bar/restaurant. As with many properties on the Island a hire car is useful to get around the island

This is a beautiful place. It’s far removed from the major tourist centres. We were in the new section and it was stunning. The view from our place was amazing. The staff couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful. They were genuinely friendly and kind. The private pool is basically a coolish plunge pool. The breakfast has good variety although we were there for 3 nights and it might become a little monotonous if we had been there longer. We walked a couple of times down to the village to catch the bus and it’s not a pleasant walk. No sidewalks and cars speeding past. It’s best to have a car. Taxis are very expensive. The food was good. The menu isn’t extensive but what they have was great. The fried feta in filo with honey was fantastic and the prawns were delicious. Small but good wine list. The outdoor dining area is lovely with such an amazing view. The only thing I didn’t really like was the indoor dining area. It’s just okay. We always ate outside but if it’s very windy - which happens here- you have to move indoors. But other than that our stay was perfect.

Sehr schöne Unterkunft mit hervorragender Aussicht, sehr freundlicher Service, sofortige Problembehebung (defektes Regal). Wifi geht manchmal nicht, nach Reset wieder okay. Gerne wieder!

The check in and warm welcome was fabulous. The rooms are well maintained and spotless, as is the whole property. The views from almost anywhere on the property are spectacular. All the staff are pleasant and super efficient. Breakfast buffet was plentiful with lots to choose from. The dinner was also great. We should have stayed longer. Next time.

It was a beautiful property with the most amazing views. The service at the hotel was excellent and the hotel room was clean with towels provided daily for the room and pool. The breakfast was ok, I wish there had been different options each day, but apart from that a perfect stay.

Clean, luxurious accommodations easily accessible from the airport and located in the quiet part of the island. The pool was cleaned every morning and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

The staff were great. But the room was not as clean. The floor was really dirty, and room smelled like sewage at times. The room itself did not match the picture of the room that was originally booked. The view was partially blocked by a wall, which from the pictures was not the room we booked or promised. We were often awoken, by a loud banging from what it appeared to be the roof of our room. And the wife worked half of the time. For the price that was paid, the stay was not worth it and I will not recommend this hotel to anyone.

This property was beautiful, nestled into the cliffs in Akrithi facing the Caldera. This is the quieter end of the island. Grounds and pool were well maintained. Our private pool was cleaned at least once while we were there. Bed made and fresh towels ( no wash clothes, take your own) provided daily. Breakfast buffet offered a variety of fresh fruit and some traditional Greek foods, enough that you did not have to eat the same foods every day. They have a bar/ restaurant onsite with a fairly decent menu. There was a small but consistent staff. Interactions with everyone were very pleasant. The hosts/receptionist, Angelo (day) and Angie (evening shift) were great. Concierge extraordinaire! The only negative is that the jacuzzi leaked when my daughter used it. And oops! We forgot to report it. If you're looking for a quiet spot, this is it. However, the island is small enough that you can drive from one end to the other in about and hour or so. I would recommend Maison Des Lys as a good place to stay when ever you visit Santorini.

Nous avions la chambre 121 face au coucher du soleil. La chambre est belle mais elle est située à l’entrée de l’hôtel. Et les taxis défilent toute la journée devant et s’arrêtent devant la chambre moteur allumé parfois 15 minutes. Dommage pour ce point très négatif. La piscine est merveilleuse. Le ménage est parfait. Le service au petit déjeuner est moyen parfois sans même un bonjour ! Donc un bel hôtel avec des améliorations sur le service.
Nous avions la chambre 121 face au coucher du soleil. La chambre est belle mais elle est située à l’entrée de l’hôtel. Et les taxis défilent toute la journée devant et s’arrêtent devant la chambre moteur allumé parfois 15 minutes. Dommage pour ce point très négatif. La piscine est merveilleuse. Le ménage est parfait. Le service au petit déjeuner est moyen parfois sans même un bonjour ! Donc un bel hôtel avec des améliorations sur le service.

This place has so much potential given it’s beautiful view, but it’s just run down. We had a suite with a private pool. There were knobs missing off the dresser, trash can lid was broken, A/C wasn’t working properly, and there was only a flat sheet on the beds. Just little things to maintain would make a big difference. At the pool, a couple servers would sit at an empty bar. We had to get up and order everything and dirty dishes would sit next to us. Pool service would be great, especially when you have the staff. Also, it was listed that a one-way transfer to the ferry was $15, but we were charged $40.

The only downside was that I didn’t receive the exact room I booked the view was different. When I called the front desk, the lady explained it was the same room type but that I could speak to the manager in the morning if another room was available. Since I was already unpacked, I chose to stay, but no one followed up to check if I was comfortable. Despite this, I had a wonderful stay overall and would recommend the hotel to others visiting Santorini.

Amazing views and very friendly staff - specially from Angelo. We arrived very early in the morning and he helped us keeping our luggage, let us have breakfast and a place to change clothes so we can wander around the island, meanwhile our room was ready in the afternoon. Very spacious suite with 2 rooms and 2 bathrooms - patio with private pool and balcony. Ideal for a family Easy parking and close access to the room - very different from what we saw in Fira and Oía, because they have to climb steep trails with carry on and heavy luggage …. Very tasty buffet breakfast Thanks for your hospitality !!!!

The management appears to lack in basic humane values. The day before we were to fly to Santorini, we suffered an unexpected medical emergency, leading to immediate hospitalization (lasting multiple days and precluding travel during the planned period). Aware of their cancellation policy, we requested the hotel management via Expedia to please allow postponement of the dates of visit. We received a brief, rude response from the assistant manager declining the request without any acknowledgement of the circumstances. Aware of their cancellation policy, we requested the hotel management via Expedia to please allow postponement of the dates of visit. We received a brief, rude response from the assistant manager declining the request without any acknowledgement of the circumstances. Had a great stay and would give this hotel five stars if it wasn’t for the breakfast. The quality of the food was great but every other tray was empty and it took so much time before they refilled it. The breakfast went to 10.30 but the stopped refilling at 10. So the last 30 min we were lucky if there was any bread, eggs etc left. Also the water in the coffee machines often ran out which made long lines of people waiting for coffee for 15 minutes. This was the case for all 5 mornings. A couple of times we made them aware of the empty trays and the response was not nice at all. We were accused of telling them they “weren’t doing their job” when literally all we said was “excuse me, the egg tray is empty”. Not pleasant at all. Such a shame because other from that the service (front desk) was great and everyone was so nice.

The views were amazing. The majority of the staff was friendly. Sadly, money was “misplaced” out of my wallet conveniently after cleaning staff went in to arrange the room. Later, one of the management staff proceeded to wait for us into the night, and threatened to call the police on us for defamation of his establishment. He later went on to apologize, but the situation felt so weird and tense that I booked another stay somewhere else, even though this place was already paid for. Moving elsewhere was the best decision I made, and ultimately saved the trip from being ruined.

Also offered me to stay the whole extra day since my flight was late evening for a small fee. Totslly worth it! Would definitely come back and stay here.

I tried to select 6-stars for Maison des Lys, but 5 is the max. This was probably the best hotel I’ve stayed at anywhere in the world. An amazing feeling of comfort and luxury, coupled with absolutely breathtaking views. The front desk managers, especially Angelo, were extraordinarily friendly and helpful. I’d love to stay at this hotel again.

We wanted peaceful and relaxing and thats exactly what we got. Staff were amazing in reception for excursions, hire cars and recommendations. Cleaning staff and restaurant staff also amazing. Couldn't have asked for anything more. A very memorable holiday and will definitely book again next year. A holiday dream in our opinion. They know what they are doing and doing it perfectly. Angelo and staff were amazing! Our SeaJet ferry was cancelled last minute due to the weather and he took care of us! We ended up at the beach with complimentary beach sunbeds until our flight we just booked!! Our view and the hotel was splendid and we had a wonderful time! Consider staying at the Maison Des Lys when you visit Santorini.

The staff at the restaurant and bar were amazing. The management was not helpful at all! Since day one I requested the shower to be looked at because it did not have a door so everytime I showered all the water came out. Angelo, the manager said that there was nothing he can do put to put towels on the floor. Due to it being very slippery I fell twice. The TV didn’t work, management finally changed it after 3 days. Telephones never worked so I had to walk to the reception twice. They need new management. The rest of the staff was outstanding. it’s a beautiful place just need better skilled management staff.

Amazing location, really quiet area and great local food nearby. We hired a car and driving around the island is really easy and everything is close by so I highly recommend this. The view is one of the highlights, facing perfectly for a sunrise. The pools aren’t heated so take some getting used to! Overall, cant fault anything, amazing stay.

An outstanding hotel located on the edge of the caldera with stunning views. Excellent, friendly and helpful staff. As others have mentioned, you do need to hire a car but the isolated location is one of the strengths of the hotel - it is quiet and away from the over tourism of Fira and Oia.

We had an incredible time at Maison De Lys in Santorini! The views were breathtaking, the service was top-notch, and the rooms were amazing. It was our first time in Santorini, and we couldn’t have picked a better place to stay. The staff was incredibly helpful, especially the receptionist. They answered all our questions, booked us into a variety of activities, and even helped us rent a car for our stay. We highly recommend this hotel. It’s located in the quieter part of Akrotiri, away from the bustling towns of Oia and Fira. But don’t let that fool you - the views are still stunning, especially from Maison De Lys. The hotel was beautiful! In a remote area so a form of transport (hiring a car) is a must! However, the rooms were cleaned every day and the staff were very polite and hard working! Would definitely recommend.

This is a beautiful place. It’s far removed from the major tourist centres. We were in the new section and it was stunning. The view from our place was amazing. The staff couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful. They were genuinely friendly and kind. The private pool is basically a coolish plunge pool. The breakfast has good variety although we were there for 3 nights and it might become a little monotonous if we had been there longer. We walked a couple of times down to the village to catch the bus and it’s not a pleasant walk. No sidewalks and cars speeding past. It’s best to have a car. Taxis are very expensive. The food was good. The menu isn’t extensive but what they have was great. The fried feta in filo with honey was fantastic and the prawns were delicious. Small but good wine list. The outdoor dining area is lovely with such an amazing view. The only thing I didn’t really like was the indoor dining area. It’s just okay. We always ate outside but if it’s very windy - which happens here- you have to move indoors. But other than that our stay was perfect.

This property was beautiful, nestled into the cliffs in Akrithi facing the Caldera. This is the quieter end of the island. Grounds and pool were well maintained. Our private pool was cleaned at least once while we were there. Bed made and fresh towels ( no wash clothes, take your own) provided daily. Breakfast buffet offered a variety of fresh fruit and some traditional Greek foods, enough that you did not have to eat the same foods every day. They have a bar/ restaurant onsite with a fairly decent menu. There was a small but consistent staff. Interactions with everyone were very pleasant. The hosts/receptionist, Angelo (day) and Angie (evening shift) were great. Concierge extraordinaire! The only negative is that the jacuzzi leaked when my daughter used it. And oops! We forgot to report it. If you're looking for a quiet spot, this is it. However, the island is small enough that you can drive from one end to the other in about and hour or so. I would recommend Maison Des Lys as a good place to stay when ever you visit Santorini.

The menu selections at the hotel were limited, and my daughter ordered seafood at the hotel restaurant that gave her food poisoning and she was in bed for 2.5 days of our 5-day stay, so that was a bummer. There are restaurants nearby that you can walk to, but if you want to go to the tourist towns, you will need a taxi/Uber. Overall it was very nice.

Das Hotel hat eine tolle Lage, mit Blick auf die Caldera. Besonders sind die Zimmer mit eigenem Pool. Außerdem gibt es noch Pools, die für alle zugänglich sind. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und schön eingerichtet. Es gab bei uns ein paar Mängel, wie kaputte Türklinken oder klemmende Toilettenspülung, was aber vermutlich daran liegt, dass wir am Ende der Saison dort waren. Verbesserungspotenzial gibt es auf jeden Fall beim Frühstück. Das Buffet ist wirklich minimal und bietet kaum Auswahl. Habe wirklich selten ein so schlechtes Frühstücksbuffet erlebt - und ich bin eigentlich nicht anspruchsvoll. Besonders hervorzuheben ist aber sämtliches Personal, das immer versucht alle Wünsche zu erfüllen. Alle waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.
