North Beach Plantation

The pool deck was amazing with multiple pools, hot tubs lazy river, and a restaurant/bar. Unfortunately, it was closed due to thunder often during our stay and when it wasn't, it was packed with family groups. I believe we were able to find 3 chairs at 9 am one morning and then within 2 hours it was closed due to thunder. If we were part of a larger group and staked our claim at the pool, I'm sure it would have been a fantastic time. The music was fun and generated an amazing atmosphere. Never did get to try the food due to the many long closures but the virgin frozen drinks were delicious! We did try the pizza restaurant one evening and sampled 3 huge subs. They were really good, but really expensive. Our meal with drinks and tip was over $100. Safety is a priority as is ensuring only renters or owners enter the pool deck. As with any high rise, elevators are an issue. We were on the 9th floor and walked down every day but took the elevators up. Parking is in a garage attached to the resort and seems ample. Never tried the fitness center as we wanted to go as a family and my 16 yo wasn't allowed. 18 over only. Basically across the street from Barefoot Landing which is a plus - especially during the daily thunderstorms we encountered. Our condo was nice enough. Missing some items that we are used to in a rented condo like S&P shakers, laundry baskets but otherwise fine. Towels were replaced as requested & door to garbage shoot was locked so you had to request p/u

The condo we rented was out dated. It was in need of some TLC, paint, minor repairs ceiling., cabinets. The supplied pots and pans, coffee maker needed replaced. The overall property was clean and the stafff were helpful, polite and attentive! The restaurants on site were great!! The pools are a 10 plus the easy access to the beach!! Great location to everything needed for a vacation. Def. Stay here again.

Liked this property and the amenities but the pool areas have too many people and the pool tile on many pools is in disrepair. The old empty cans, cocktail and drink cups everywhere was a turn off. For the price I expected it to be a little more well kept.

I could go to Myrtle Beach and stay at this hotel and never leave the hotel and be completely happy the six pools the swim up bar you can walk to the beach in a minute but what more could you ask for

Beautiful resort with great facilities. Walking distance from Barefoot Landing with lots of restaurants and shopping venues.

It was great! The only thing that needs an upgrade is the fitness center. Also the check in is down the road from the towers. Other than that it is fine.

The management allowed it to be overbooked and lied about my reservation. Despite confirming my reservation directly with the property, when we arrived we were told they didn't have our reservation. We were bumped from a 4 bedroom to a 2 bedroom with no other compensation besides refunding the difference in price. The pool bar closed at 6 pm. The pool water during the summer was hot. At least 1 hot tub didn't work. You walk through the garage to get to the beach. There was trash on the rooves of the structures around the pool visible from the balconies and trash usually sitting around the trash receptacles by the main doors. All pools and hot tubs are only open from 10 to 10.

We have stayed here at least ten times. Great room and view. However this trip was a disappointment. The person that checked us in was very nice, our room had great view but the TV was so old it had no streaming service or capability to hook up our Xbox to stream things. We went back and the desk person was not nearly as friendly but did say we could get a different room. That room was great. Issue is it was in the other tower which had major maintenance going on starting at 9 am going on all day. Couldn’t enjoy the balcony at times and could not sleep in. Some people work third shift so when they travel getting up at 9 am isn’t something you want to do. Other major issue was the entire week the only outdoor heated pool was closed all week. The website says the adult only pool is heated seasonally and it definitely was not at this time. The only heated pool was inside with kids everywhere. The final complaint is the only bathroom for the pool was on the third floor! Since maintenance was going on the outdoor bathrooms were closed and there were none at the inside pool area. I understand maintenance needs done, it’s a beautiful resort but at least let your guests enjoy the outdoor pool a few hours a day. That is why we always stay here.

We only stay at North Beach while visiting Myrtle Beach. Normally we stay in the towers. This time we chose to stay in a villa. No waiting on elevators and parking lots. The shuttle rounds every 5 to 10 minutes to take guests to the pool and beach area. We will probably go back to the towers next visit, I like watching the sunrise.

We had several problems. First, no fire alarm. It was just missing. The wires were just handing out of the wall. Second, black mold in the bathtub. It was clear it had not been properly cleaned. Finally, we had a maintenance worker just walk into our room. He didn’t knock. Just walked right in.

We usually stay here when we come to the beacch, however this time our UNit was not up to par, The bathroom had mold built up around the shower doors. the bathroom had one of the sinks clogged. tyhe drain cover in the shower was bent and could potentially cut our foot. Also the bathroom despirately needed painting. The living room furniture (couch) was so worn down, that it felt like we was sinking down. The bedroom mattress was not comfortable at all. We sincerely feel the owners of this property shoud do upgrades. The otoman in the bedroom was dirty. There was clear visible stains on it. The amount of money a person spends here shouldl refect the quality of the unit. It did not!

The “luxury” villa was dingy and dirty. Needs a complete overhaul. Obviously cleaning the unit before a guest arrives is the absolute bare minimum. The description of the unit was totally different than the one that was assigned. Very disappointing to say the least, thankfully our stay was less than 10 hours!

The bathroom and washer had mold. The internet never worked on tv and we couldn’t watch anything.

Unit 1904 was horribly dated and in poor condition. Carpets were filthy bathroom grout needed cleaning. Furniture was very old and tattered. Resort must know the conditions of these units yet they rent them regardless. They will post a standard response to this but at the end of the day they know these units are unacceptable. Ask more questions (than we did) before booking.

Room was clean

We are all sick from mold in the unit. My son and daughter in law had to sleep in floor due to sofa couch so broke down with busted springs. There was visible mold between glass and dining table. Literally there was mold spores. I own a SERVPRO and thisxwas very unhealthy. Tge unit smelled of fresh paint where they painted over mold. The ice maker was froze up dumping frost bit ice all over floor. One control for 2 tvs. Im trying to add photos and it wont let me.

The sofas were soiled and black stained all over, the pillows were completely flat. The master bedroom mattress was about 6” high and very hard. The headboard slammed against the wall with the most minute movement on the bed. It woke us up all through the night. I pushed it against the wall when I needed to move around to lower the noise. The screws made a grindings noise. The glass tops covering the furniture was sticky and grimy. I did not lay anything on the furniture . The lampshades were dirty. A layer of dust covered the headboard. I placed towels over the headboard the second night to stop some of the headboard banging against the wall. The dining room chairs were quite soiled, we never sat in them. The sofas sunk in along with the springs when you sat in the sofa, and it was challenging to get out of it, so we sat outside 95 percent of the time. It was just very uncomfortable physically in this unit. The living room rug was so worn. The second bathroom was leaking under the toilet. The master bedroom mattress cover was soiled. The pools were good and the food from the 3rd floor grill was fine. I did report all of this to the front desk staff, they said thanks for letting them know, and have a nice day. I did tell them this was not resort quality accommodations, truly a two star hotel would not have been worse.

The room looked neat on entry but on settling in I noted dusty surfaces including on the artificial plants. There were cobwebs on the ceiling fan. Fruit flies always appeared out of nowhere when you tried to eat in the room - a nauseating experience. The Buffet breakfast which was advertised on the website is not available. Compared to my visit several years ago, this was very disappointing.

Staff was great at check in, we got to the room and it's dirty to the point it's not safe. There's mice poop in the closet and a bad smell. Sleeping with the windows open instead of AC to get some fresh air. Bathroom had dirty towels in it, mold, and discoloring of bath. Didn't provide sheets for sofa bed, had to ask, and took them at least 30 min to bring them, they also forgot to bring clean towels that I asked for. There is a lot of dust on the furniture.

The unit we stayed in was just ok, needs much updating as far as furniture goes, worn out sofa. Only one chair to sit in the living area. Hot wster wss jusk luke warm.

The resort is beautiful. The view was amazing. We rented a 2 bedroom condo. Everything was beautiful. Fully equipped kitchen. Bathrooms large and beautiful. Pools were amazing .

Room # 1506 was very old fashioned, like walking into the ‘90s. No smart tv’s either. Price we paid was too expensive for type of accommodations we got. When we asked to see what room we were getting they couldn’t give particulars. We will not book again at this property

We stayed in Brunswick Villas. Ours was very outdated in decor and comfort. Master on top floor and no elevator. They are the furthest away from beach as possible and overlooked the road and McDonalds. Noisy car traffic at night. None of the 3 TVs worked and none were Smart. The WiFi didn’t work either. I would NOT stay there again. You can’t park a car near beach so if you plan on taking a wagon with chairs etc it’s a good 1/2 mile walk. There is a shuttle but it may be a wait to catch it. Pools are good but crowded and a big party atmosphere. You’re not allowed to take your own drink or food to pools and grill and bar is pretty expensive so come prepared.

Wonderful place to stay. Close to great shopping area and restaurants. Stayed in a 2 bedroom in the towers. It was clean, spacious, and nicely decorated. Beds were amazingly comfortable. Loved the large oceanfront balcony. The pools are fabulous except for the constant eighties music . Poolside food was just average. I would stay here again.

Loved the area, resort amenities, and condo size. Condo decor and balcony view were beautiful. Beds weren’t very comfortable, and heavier blankets would be nice. Neighbors smoked a lot of marijuana on n their balcony, and the smell was often overwhelming. That continued all week and was not a great experience while enjoying the balcony view with family.

The resort itself is amazing! However, the property we stayed in was not equipped with smart tvs. They were very old televisions! Had to call someone in at 10:30 pm because none of the tvs would work! The kitchen was sparsely equipped! Including silverware and dishes. We were in PH 7 in the indigo tower. Wouldn’t recommend this room if traveling with a larger group.

Very clean, huge room. Could have slept 12 ppl. Full kitchen and three full bedrooms with bathrooms and master had a walk in shower. This room seemed like a presidential suite but we were told it was a regular room.

Lacked kitchen essentials and appliance condition fair. Hot water was fine when it was available. Customer service was poor in terms of responsiveness and helpfulness. Although advertised as open, restaurants were not. Did I mention it was noisy? Charged $30 daily for housekeeping however we requested nor received. When I questioned charges, was advised that it is automatic for all guests. This is obviously a ploy to keep basic daily rate artificially lower. Should be required to disclose hidden fees. Services also compromised by booking through Expedia. We received multiple nuisance marketing calls soliciting attendance for sales offer. Opportunity rich environment for improved visual information.

Review of Stay – North Beach Resort & Villas We reserved and paid in full for accommodations in the Jazmine Tower, but upon arrival we were placed in the Indigo Tower instead. When we raised the issue, the response at the front desk was dismissive and unhelpful, essentially leaving us with no resolution. Having prepaid for a specific accommodation, we expected to receive what we reserved, and were disappointed that this was not honored. The condition and cleanliness of the apartment were also concerning. Towels provided had visible black hair on them, the floors were dirty, and the carpet appeared old and in need of a deep cleaning. We ended up cleaning much of the apartment ourselves in order to feel comfortable during the stay. While the apartment itself was functional, both it and the building overall show noticeable signs of age and could benefit from more attentive upkeep. Service and staff engagement were inconsistent. Communication prior to arrival and during the stay was overwhelming, with repeated calls and text messages pressuring us to attend a timeshare presentation, which detracted from the experience. On site, staff interactions generally felt transactional, with little effort toward hospitality. The property does have strengths worth noting. The location is excellent, with convenient access to nearby attractions, and the number of pools available is a positive feature. However, enforcement of poolside rules and guest etiquette was lacking....

Upon check guest service had given me and my family the wrong unit, upon entering the wrong unit, the unit was smokey. At this time I had notified guests service at this time I had spoken with Mr. Justin reach he had apologize about the mix up with the property and about the smoke smell in the room as well. Mr. Justin was really pleasant and made sure that we were well taken care. Really enjoyed the property from the time that we had entered the gate. Will definitely highly recommend this property.

Room was Clean and areas around villas were quiet. Property around Pools was clean but hot tubs couldve been cleaned better. Front Desk staff was very friendly but overnight manager was very rude. We were given the wrong room other than what we booked which was very frustrating. We got downgraded and the only option we were given was a one night refund or a full refund and go somewhere else which seemed EXTREMELY unhelpful.

The staff was rude at check in. We had a maintenance issue with the TV and it took over 2.5 hours for someone to come. I called twice to just ask questions to see if I could try & fix the TV myself. It was raining & the pool area was closed so hoping to at least watch TV. I ended up calling back for the 3rd time to request that maintenance enter so we could leave for dinner. We had 2 TVs, one mounted & the other sitting on the mantle shelf slightly lower. Some cords were unhooked and confusing as to which TV it was coming from. That was a mess. My charges were not billed to the correct payment. I was called a “leprechaun “ because the guest services agent had never seen a physical Affirm card before. She did not know how to check me in and charged my check card. She wasn’t listening to what I was saying and really acted as if she could care less. Inadvertently, she still charged the wrong card even after I tried to explain. I had to contact the manager on duty the following day & supposedly the charges were reversed and applied appropriately. Today, the day after check out it’s still not right. I have called twice only to be told the manager is busy and will call back. I had a customer service issue before & nobody ever called back to follow up after several attempts to contact them. I just brushed it off since it was a couple of years ago but again, the same slack service.

The over all resort was great we staid in a 2 bedroom villa. The only reason for the 4 star is the front desk reception. No the most friendly or helpful. My grandson left his favorite pillow behind which he travels with and when we went back we were told that because we checked out we couldn’t go back in to check. And no one offered to check for us and instead just told us to file a lost property report. It was not lost it was in the room. They could be more accommodating during these special circumstances.

They deactivated my cards to get into my room at 10:20 am and I was supposed to check out at 11 am without access to grab my things. It was a challenging experience. Also the staff at the front desk hung up on my wife as she was asking for a rollaway bed. I’m just sticking to facts I want add an extra. Property was great!

We have stayed at this property 2 years in a row. We love this property. The staff and the whole place is amazing.

Our questions were replied to with a tone that indicated we should have known the answer. As a general rule we don’t ask questions we already know the answer to. We were told that since we booked thru Expedia we didn’t get information about check in location being 6 blocks from the actual building where our room was. We checked in but had to go back three hours later to get room keys. Seems a courier service could have provided that to guests. Our room was not swept during previous clean as so much sand and grit was on the floor you couldn’t go barefoot inside. Living area furniture stained. Bedroom furniture too large for space. Theside farthest from the bathroom was tight squeeze with high risk for broken toes on the bed frame and dresser The pool side cabanas are an absolute joke and what a rip off price wise. Free parking was a benefit but a dangerous garage due to tight spaces and poor visibility. Every concern was blamed on using Expedia rather than direct booking thru the resort. Direct booking did not allow cancellation option. We are both first responders so had to be able to have cancellation insurance. If booking to this facility allows to be outsourced then the resort should own up to responsibility of providing incoming guests what they need to know on arrival. They stated they couldn’t possibly communicate with all guests booking through outside sources. If so many that should be an indicator of some sort of difficulty with direct booking experiences.

We were there on a guys golf trip and everything was what we expected and then some. The hospitality was top-notch and we will definitely be coming back.

In all the years that I have visited SC, this has been the best family vacation. Although we drove, everything was within walking distance. The staff was friendly, and the property was clean, quiet, and nice.

Great location with lots of shops and restaurants around the area. Very quiet neighborhood and friendly people.

Beautiful property, really convenient to barefoot landing, it even has a free shuttle that will take you there so you don’t have to move your car. Parking is horrible, they only have a few spots in oversized parking and they get taken really fast and the parking attendant lets cars that aren’t oversized park there. Also for the price you’d expect more comfortable beds and pillows. Other than that, a great place to stay. My favorite in North Myrtle Beach.

We did a family vacation. It was a great location right on the beach. Great pools and music by the pool. The steakhouse was amazing!!! Hamburger Joe's also a great place. Loved being so close to Barefoot landing and the shuttle was convenient. We also used the spa which was very nice. Not much for night life at the resort, but being a family trip it was fine.

House keeping did not remove soild towels from bathroom floors did not empty garbage from bathroom room or replace soap or shampoo . They advertise they serve breakfast, it’s a pizzeria. No cereal and milk for kids no bacon eggs homefries grits , muffins . Had to go to Cracker Barrel everyday

Only downside is the dining options in the towers are weak for such a nice place, but 21Main is excellent. Its on the property but not that close to the towers. Pools are excellent and our 1br condo was spacious

Bar at pool needed more help and much faster service. Could easily hear people out in the hallway. Loved the pool area other than bar service. And had a great time at the beach. Loved all the local shopping!

I enjoyed the trip although the food options are not for someone who only eats seafood. I wish they had a fish option considering the property is beachside.

You dont have to leave resort! Thee ae restaurants on the property!

Great resort ! It had everything you need with out leaving the resort except a store to purchase coffee and food but other that we had the best time and loved our stay there and will for sure go back to that same resort . Every staff member was so very helpful and kind .
