Large room decent bed. Don’t pay for the toll away bed! It was horrid!! No microwave or fridge in room. Grab & go type breakfast…fruit bars, granola bars, pop tarts. Good restaurant 2 miles away called Grandbellies

The place is quiet with a great view on the back. They are in the middle of renovation and most of the amenities are great. There's a refrigerator and microwave in the room which is also great. Recommend this place for staying.

.Free Breakfast... consist of drink and breakfast bars..There are lots of stuff on the market...frozen...that could be avail. for a price to micro ...or those little boxes of cereal kept at desk to avoid people taking to many...little packs of peanut butter/jelly for toast...parking was a nightmare 1 night the 2 companies with van and trailer should of been instructed to park in other lot...they made a mess ...

Folks were friendly and accommodating. Room was clean but some furnishings need replacing (lampshade stained, bedside stand damaged top) and inside of exterior door needing repainted. Parking lot is very damaged outside the exterior room door.

Front desk staff were pleasant. This was a 1 night stop with zero conviences. No amenities other than a bed. There was a construction crew staying there, barbequing in the parking lot when we arrived. We had to leave to eat dinner and breakfast was coffee and a granola bar and banana. Did I mention a construction crew was tailgating in the parking lot. Had to call the desk as they were load and drinking in their rooms....The property is old and in dire need of restoration...It was raining when we arrived on our motorcycles so the bed was welcomed but access to a washer and dryer would have been nice.

Booked this during the morning before the stay and once we arrived they said we didn’t have a room. They gave us a room that costed a little more and wasn’t worth it. No chairs, room wasn’t fully cleaned, beds hurt and the rooms weren’t exciting. They said that they had a few rooms out of commission for the time being and Expedia isn’t updated with those rooms and that’s why we didn’t have a room when we arrived. Don’t recommend for the price that you are paying.

good pricing in these days. No carpet is excellent. The issue was a crazy guy running and shouting around during the night under our windows. Not sure what we could have done. Concerning the cleanliness, super. But I would recommend the personal to wear a net on their hair by cleaning up. We found long black hair in the towels. We are not so picky, but some would be.

Parking was a breeze. From the outside, it looks kind of iffy but I was so thoroughly impressed by the inside. It’s definitely dated (reminded me of my nana’s house but it was oddly comforting) but CLEAN. I can’t stress enough how lovely every single staff member is and again, cleanliness is obviously a top priority there. Overall, great stay and I would choose them again if I ever pass through again in the future. Clean, friendly and welcoming.

Check-in was horrible she inserted the card at least 20 times and the device froze each time, after 25 mins, I handed over 3 other cards, well, it wasn’t the cards…. I asked her to reboot the device, after 10 mins of convincing she did and the eureka, the device worked with the original card. After that fun, we went to the room, it smells horrible like wet dog and cigarettes. Find an alternative place.

I checked-in around 4:00 p.m. The lady at the front desk was hardly welcoming. She didn’t smile, and made me feel as if I was being scrutinized, or judged in some way. I don’t need to be entertained or anything, but at least make me feel like my business is appreciated.

Clean, comfortable, good value. TV didn’t work and desk staff didn’t know how to fix. Bathroom fans are VERY loud. Desk person didn’t have my reservation, made a week earlier; gave me a check-in form with someone else’s name. Friendly, thoughtful though.I’d visit again.

We stayed at the Gateway because it was touted as the gateway to Mt. Katahdin. It is, but they truly could do better if they want tourists to stay. A bunch of utility trucks were there the night we stayed. Maybe that explains the use of dark blue bedsheets…. Our beds were actually hard. And it seemed the heat lamp in our room was wired to turn on every time the lights were switched on in the bathroom. That felt unsafe. They offer breakfast but, be forewarned, it’s basically wrapped pop tarts and granola bars.

Foyer is very nice decorated. Rooms are a bit outdated, but they were clean and comfortable and reasonably priced. Breakfast is very limited, only coffee/tea, wheat bread with jelly and granola bars, but I believe that the accomodation did not state that the breakfast was included so any extra food was a positive surprise.
