Home2 Suites by Hilton Orlando Near Universal

The resort is really good the room are so big and nice. The amenities they are very convenient and the kitchen amazing. The gym and the pool were clean and organized. They have coffee all the time. Themis hotel is extremely close to the Universal Studios parks.

Only problem we had was that when we arrived at 1:00am, computers where down and we had to wait 20 minutes in order to be check in. Not enough parking, but at least they let you park in front of the building.

Close to universal studios, clean large rooms and very friendly and helpful staff. Pool area needs updating but other than that great stay and excellent complimentary breakfast.

Pros: Great value; very inexpensive room with great breakfast and free parking Best breakfast spread of the 4 different Home2 Suites we stayed at in the past 2 weeks Proximity to parks = great, only a $6 Lyft drive Rooms very large Cons: No conditioner, asked for it to be refilled and never was Broken laundry facilities Front desk staff seemed indifferent Free shuttle to theme parks can only be booked between 7-11am from the hotel across the street, so can’t get rides the day after checkin Very expensive lobby food ($10 frozen meal, $5 snack bag of chips, $6 Powerade)

Breakfast was great. The ability to schedule shuttles to Universal Epic Universe and Universal Islands of Adventures. Also have shuttles available to bring me back to our hotel. Staff is friendly and available when needed. Definitely clean room.

This was a good nearby hotel for Universal parks. Breakfast was good though monotonous after a few days but excellent options. Multiple restaurants nearby and safe parking. The universal shuttle doesn’t stop at this property so we either had to catch it across the road or behind this hotel (four point hotel). Also they don’t have reservations desk at this property so had to walk across to other one. Rooms are good with kitchenette. Overall a good option to visit Universal and Sea world parks

The transportation to universal is at the hotel across the street which you have to sign up for the day before… we never did and still got to ride the shuttle. Hotel was fine, breakfast was creative. Different sandwiches daily. Would stay again.

If you drive in late night the parking lot is full, no parking & security tells you to park at another hotel. Washer/dryer was kinda grimy. And breakfast not all that great. But other than that, was good.

Great stay, ample space in our room; had 2 beds and a sofa. Had a small kitchenette with plates and cutlery, able to borrow a portable cooktop if required. Free parking was included which was a bonus! Breakfast was also included which had a few options available. Laundry located on ground floor next to the gym and near the front desk. Only 2machines and 2dryers available so can get rather busy. Front desk has change for quarters if needed and detergent. Was able to book free transport to Universal Studios - have to book at least 24hours prior and have to book in person (located across the road at the Homewood Suites Hotel), and allocated times. No need to book return transport back to hotel, first come first serve basis which we opted out for as we wanted to stay later at the park. Staff were kind, friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend this hotel, ticked all our boxes for my family of 5 during our stay ☺️

Very clean, quiet hotel with a very good location.

Room wasn’t clean at check in had to change rooms.

My stay here was horrible!! Our room was NOT clean. There was hair in the shower, on the sink, on the floor and everywhere else. The toilet had stains in it, the caulk around the sink was peeling off and the shower drain had stains. The door lock was broken and we had to lift up hard on the door and push it with a good hip for it to close and latch. We were changed to a different room which was in the exact same condition as far as cleanliness, but a least the door latched. The carpet in the elevator smelled. The staff was the only saving quality here. They were friendly, helpful and all around amazing. Too bad the facilities and cleaning staff didn't live up to the front desk staff.

Clean, quiet, and comfortable room. Everything was in good condition. Did not feel worn out like many busy hotels can. Friendly and helpful staff. We’d stay there again.

DO NOT BOOK. Dirty rooms and linens, I have pictures of what our room looked like. Too bad we couldn’t go elsewhere. Hair from other people in our beds meaning sheets were not changed. So disgusting.

It is a good property to stay at, the only thing I could say negatively about it is, you can smell the mildew in the room, it's not visible but you can definitely smell it and the beds are uncomfortable spring mattresses, also not enough blankets available and the ones you get are incredibly thin and uncomfortable. Positively, your staff was incredibly nice and helpful and the breakfast was very nice. Also the "surprise" parking fee wasn't nice but it wasn't expensive. Overall good experience.

Rooms were clean and comfortable. I appreciated having a full size fridge in the room.

The overall cleanliness of this place was great! Combined with how close it is to Universal makes it a no brainer to pick if you will be visiting the 3 parks of Universal. Breakfast included is also a very nice addition. A few small gripes would be in the room we had. First of the sliding door to the bathroom/toilet was very heavy to open and close. It would also not lock because of the locking mechanism not working. The other thing is that the overall room was pretty "noisy" somehow. If you where in the bathroom you would hear everything in the bedroom or livingroom. Overall we would go back if visiting Orlando again.

The bed was not comfortable at all, the breakfast was okay but I have had better. The shower could’ve had better water pressure

The room was huge, lots of space to move around and service was excellent. Clean and well maintained. Our room has a good size refrigerator and a kitchenette with a microwave. Loved it.

The room itself was huge and very clean. The hotel itself is great and the breakfast every morning was amazing. My only hiccup was the tv kept cutting off during our stay. We weren’t in the room much so it wasn’t a big deal.

Beds were bad one of the beds were leaning to the side the other bed squeak really bad.

Excellent hotel. The room I got was really Nice & spacious. I loved this hotels location & the price was great. The one fact I did not like was that pets are welcome to all rooms. I think there should be few room or a top floor for room no pets for people with allergies & just as an option. :) great hotel! Great location!!!

The staff is not attentive to customers, even to a foreigner who speaks fluent English. I truly felt like they didn’t care at all about our questions—worse, as if we were bothering them for not knowing how the shuttle system to the theme parks worked. Their answers were rushed and careless. And when we asked them to repeat, their irritation was very clear! Out of my entire trip, this was by far the hotel where we received the worst welcome. We were outraged by such blatant disdain. My stay ends on an indescribably disappointing note.

Property was excellent and staff was great! Didn't like that I was charged for the room on my credit card by the hotel after my stay when I had already paid through Expedia. Made a call to the hotel and it was quickly taken care of. I would stay here again!

We’ve stayed at other Home2 Suites before without any incidents, so it is with disappointment that I write this bad review. Knowing we were going to be late in checking in, I called ahead and requested late check=in to make sure they knew we’re coming and wouldn’t give our room away. Much to my dismay, when we got to hotel after a very long day at the park, we weren’t getting the room we requested (2 queen beds) and tried to give us one king bed. Apparently, that type of room had been overbooked. They offered to book us in the sister hotel across the street but we did not have a car and wouldn’t be able to move our luggage or get there. On top of that, the room they were going to place us in was a regular hotel room and not what we paid for. The other similar hotel was booked up. We had no choice but to stay at the hotel. We spoke with another guest who had a similar situation and overheard another guest who didn’t get clean towels he’s requested for two days. Not the agent’s fault as he relayed message to housekeeping. Not only did we not get the room we purchased but I was paranoid about the cleanliness of the room. Note the agent, Vishal, was working alone tonight and was wrought with issues from different guests. He remained calm and professional and tried his best to accommodate every issue. He didn’t fight me when I refused his offer or when I demanded that I’m not charged for room. I would not stay here or recommend until management gets their act together.

I got a king suite room & as we entered the room, it smelled very bad . We went back to the front desk, unfortunately they were sold out of our room & offered us a studio room, which was smaller and cheaper then the room we paid for. I was not given compensation for the price difference, just a take it or leave it. I unfortunately booked it thru expedia and called to have it taken care of. Which expedia tried to call several times to the property manager for compensation or redued cost to no avail. Would never stay there again. Vary disappointed, & yes we were happy at other locations of Home2 by hilton.

Staff was very friendly

Great location near universal, but the shuttle runs from the hotel across the street and only runs from 8am -7pm. You have to uber back or park at the park to stay late. Breakfast is okay and the room was clean and comfortable.

Great spot that's near Universal and Islands of Adventure. You can walk it (weather permitting). Good convenient options to eat at.

Great facility close to Universal. We were at the parks within 5 minutes. It was nice to be so close at the end of a long day of walking and riding the rides. Lots to do close by.

There was nothing I can say I did not like. Everything was clean, spacious, and the staff was great. It’s in a great location where everything is close. So many different food options near by. There are a lot of close attractions by both walking and driving. We will definitely be back!

Hot breakfast is delicious.

The hotel was great. The suite had everything I needed . I have a dairy and gluten allergy. There was almost nothing I can eat. Everything had cheese on it or backed in it. I even asked do you have eggs with no cheese and the answer was no. So I had to scrape the cheese off the eggs. I also had the oatmeal which was water based so I was ok with that .
