Room was good, bed good, view was excellent. However, the steps up to room were extremely difficult. I was told that there was an elevator and there wasn't. I had difficulty reaching people on the telephone..

It reminded me of an AirBNB apartment. Check in via phone with a room code. No one on-site except the manager of the restaurant until it closed and then a number to call after hours. The staircase was outside which wasn’t a problem for us, but could be for others trying to bring their luggage up. The suite was spacious with a bedroom, kitchen area, TV area/couch/chair and bathroom. All were small but put together made a very spacious accommodation and was much more than we expected for the price. It even had its own little balcony. The food in the restaurant downstairs was amazing. The seafood that is. The steak was not that great. The live music on Wednesday carried up to our room but wasn’t louder than the TV and was over by 9 pm All in all it is a great place to stay. Clean and comfortable and we would definitely stay here again if we are ever back in the area.

Beautiful view, priced right, easy check in. You can hear the neighbor noise. The restaurant noise is done by 9. It wasn’t a deterrent for us. We thoroughly enjoyed the stay.

I loved my stay! The views are spectacular and the food at the restaurant below is delicious. The staff there are lovely and very helpful. Be aware that there is no front desk, you just call to their sister property to get door codes for your room. I liked this but if you’re looking for a traditional hotel, this isn’t it. They were very helpful over the phone and let me have a later checkout. FYI, the restaurant does not serve breakfast, so be prepared to drive to Smithfield or Williamsburg for breakfast (or be happy with 7-11). Bed was comfy, had lots of extra pillows and I found an extra blanket. Room was very clean! My one teeny tiny recommendation: you have to take stairs to get to the rooms (as they are above the restaurant). This was ok with me. But I have a bad ankle so I was a bit slow moving, and some better lighting on the stairs would’ve been appreciated. They were pretty dark at night. Other than this, I absolutely loved my stay and I’ll definitely be back!

Beautiful place with wonderful views. The room was very spacious and in excellent condition. Convenient to the Jamestown ferry and Williamsburg. Restaurant below had some excellent food and the bar drinks were tasty. Highly recommended & we will definitely stay here again.

Great stay. Much bigger than the pictures show. We were very surprised at the size. Was expecting a studio style room and it was more like a 1 bedroom apartment. Not to mention the view of the marina below was great waking up to. The restaurant below was a bit pricey but worth every penny. Only thing lacking was the wifi. Very spotty when streaming through our Roku on the TV. The check in was a bit of a hassle as there is no front desk and the restaurant manager has to contact the company overseeing the room rentals. Overall nothing that would deter me from highly recommending this place and will definitely be staying again next time we are in the area.

The view was amazing, espcially for the cost. The room was very comfortable and clean. The staff went way overboard to accommodate our needs. The location was perfect, quiet, and serene. Nature with Chippokes State Park and Jamestown close by. A couple of things needed repair...a towel bar and the detached base of the pull out sofa. It was still very comfortable. Enjoyed it enough to return in 2 months.

They require you to telephone them prior to arrival in order to provide your credit card details for incidentals; otherwise, they refuse to provide the door code for the room. We were told by staff that the hotelier does not trust customers who book via third-party sites to not steal items from the room. It is very insecure to give details over the telephone in such a manner, and if this was a requirement, then this should have been made clear at the time of booking. We had two rooms booked, and both were in need of some maintenance. We emailed the staff on the night of check-in, informing them that the balcony insect screen was torn in one room, plus a curtain was missing in the other room (making it awkward to sleep on the pull-out couch), but they did not reply. The bed creaked every time one moved. The balcony has no furniture, not even basic chairs to sit on in order to enjoy the views. We were woken up at 07:10 am by the lawn being mowed outside. We messaged the hotel with feedback to say that the timing of such gardening activities should be taken into consideration as not to disturb guests who might be still sleeping. The hotel responded apologising; however, they stuck to a bizarre stance, claiming that mowing at this hour of the day actually causes the “least disruption”. It is a shame as the location is wonderful, and the views magnificent.

The room was great! Everything was really clean and well kept. The bed was very comfortable. The views from the balcony were beautiful. The Starbucks Coffee was a nice touch as well!

This is a very unique spot to stop and enjoy some time away. Its location is fairly remote- there’s not a lot around it but the restaurant downstairs is very good and obviously popular with the locals. The room was clean and comfortable and had everything you could need. The bathroom was fine- please consider a lid for the toilet seat! The WiFi wasn’t great, but I was okay with having some down time away from the electronics. The area is beautiful in the morning and quite peaceful. You can hear people in the hall and in the adjoining rooms but I had a small fan to drown that out. All in all, definitely a nice spot to stay if you’re in the area.

We were looking for place to go on a two night getaway and this was a beautiful property with great, peaceful views. The room and living area were nice with nice amenities. I was thoroughly impressed by the size of the room. It was very homey feeling. Very clean! I wasn't a big fan of the bed. It was a little stiff but it was okay. I loved the view from the balcony!! Amazing sunsets too! The restaurant had an amazing atmosphere, super friendly people, and the food was phenomenal! Definitely recommend!

Loved the room-spacious and relaxing. The view of the water are phenomenal. Check-in was rough. We were never notified tgat we had to contact the property in advance to put down a deposit and get access codes. Internet connectivity in the area is very poor, and the location's wi-fi was spotty. Generally, check-in was a huge hassle that could have been avoided with some prior notification.

We were told by staff that the hotelier does not trust customers who book via third-party sites to not steal items from the room. It is very insecure to give details over the telephone in such a manner, and if this was a requirement, then this should have been made clear at the time of booking. We had two rooms booked, and both were in need of some maintenance. We emailed the staff on the night of check-in, informing them that the balcony insect screen was torn in one room, plus a curtain was missing in the other room (making it awkward to sleep on the pull-out couch), but they did not reply. The bed creaked every time one moved. The balcony has no furniture, not even basic chairs to sit on in order to enjoy the views. We were woken up at 07:10 am by the lawn being mowed outside. We messaged the hotel with feedback to say that the timing of such gardening activities should be taken into consideration as not to disturb guests who might be still sleeping. The hotel responded apologising; however, they stuck to a bizarre stance, claiming that mowing at this hour of the day actually causes the “least disruption”. It is a shame as the location is wonderful, and the views magnificent.

The rooms are really nice with great views of the river and the sunset. The price was very reasonable. I was thoroughly impressed by the size of the room. It was very homey feeling. Very clean! I wasn't a big fan of the bed. It was a little stiff but it was okay. I loved the view from the balcony!! Amazing sunsets too! The restaurant had an amazing atmosphere, super friendly people, and the food was phenomenal! Definitely recommend!

I loved my stay! The views are spectacular and the food at the restaurant below is delicious. The staff there are lovely and very helpful. Be aware that there is no front desk, you just call to their sister property to get door codes for your room. I liked this but if you’re looking for a traditional hotel, this isn’t it. They were very helpful over the phone and let me have a later checkout. FYI, the restaurant does not serve breakfast, so be prepared to drive to Smithfield or Williamsburg for breakfast (or be happy with 7-11). Bed was comfy, had lots of extra pillows and I found an extra blanket. Room was very clean! My one teeny tiny recommendation: you have to take stairs to get to the rooms (as they are above the restaurant). This was ok with me. But I have a bad ankle so I was a bit slow moving, and some better lighting on the stairs would’ve been appreciated. They were pretty dark at night. Other than this, I absolutely loved my stay and I’ll definitely be back!

Great stay. Much bigger than the pictures show. We were very surprised at the size. Was expecting a studio style room and it was more like a 1 bedroom apartment. Not to mention the view of the marina below was great waking up to. The restaurant below was a bit pricey but worth every penny. Only thing lacking was the wifi. Very spotty when streaming through our Roku on the TV. The check in was a bit of a hassle as there is no front desk and the restaurant manager has to contact the company overseeing the room rentals. Overall nothing that would deter me from highly recommending this place and will definitely be staying again next time we are in the area.

This property was a shocker. I didn't think at first it was gonna be as great as it was. Was here on a business trip meeting a client near by and this place truly amazed me. I showed up to the restaurant where I was met by friendly hostesses. I didn't have much to do that night so I sat down at the bar where Christy didn't disappoint! All her recommendations for food and drinks were just what I needed to make for a great evening. Plus her great attitude was lively and was a pleasure to deal with. The blackend fish and shrimp with that magical sauce was out of this world and shouldn't be legal. All the staff seemed to get along great and worked as a team. The manager was attentive and even once I made it to my room came up to make sure everything was ok and to me liking. Over the top recommended if you're in the area and I'm certain the fishing is great also!

This is a very unique spot to stop and enjoy some time away. Its location is fairly remote- there’s not a lot around it but the restaurant downstairs is very good and obviously popular with the locals. The room was clean and comfortable and had everything you could need. The bathroom was fine- please consider a lid for the toilet seat! The WiFi wasn’t great, but I was okay with having some down time away from the electronics. The area is beautiful in the morning and quite peaceful. You can hear people in the hall and in the adjoining rooms but I had a small fan to drown that out. All in all, definitely a nice spot to stay if you’re in the area.

It reminded me of an AirBNB apartment. Check in via phone with a room code. No one on-site except the manager of the restaurant until it closed and then a number to call after hours. The staircase was outside which wasn’t a problem for us, but could be for others trying to bring their luggage up. The suite was spacious with a bedroom, kitchen area, TV area/couch/chair and bathroom. All were small but put together made a very spacious accommodation and was much more than we expected for the price. It even had its own little balcony. The food in the restaurant downstairs was amazing. The seafood that is. The steak was not that great. The live music on Wednesday carried up to our room but wasn’t louder than the TV and was over by 9 pm All in all it is a great place to stay. Clean and comfortable and we would definitely stay here again if we are ever back in the area.
