The hotel itself is mostly convenient to the Piedmont Park area, which includes pretty good restaurants and the park. Room was nicely decorated and comfy. Since the hotel doesn't offer breakfast, it was nice to have complimentary coffee. It's not the nicest neighborhood in the world--pretty ratty and trashy, concrete jungle. Views from the top floors similarly meh. Elevators were an issue: one not working and the other on the fritz. The hotel does partying at the pool, so it can be noisy on weekends. Parking: The charge for in and out is $55/day, but only $40/day if you just keep the car in. However, if you want to do one day keep the car in and one day in and out, you have to pay the $55/day for every day of the visit. In other words, you have to make your decision at the time of arrival. Staff doesn't answer the phone. I was on hold before arrival, when I called to let them know I'd be late, not getting in until 9:00 am, asking them to hold the room. They never did pick up. I left a message on hotels.com, but they clearly didn't see it. And they canceled the room. But I paid ahead on hotels.com. Instead, I'm now double charged. I can only go through the Moxy website to question the bill, and now I have to wait a week for them to attend to it. Maybe it'll work, but I'm not holding my breath. So, it's easy to double charge, and it's slow and difficult to get attention to any fixes.

We have stay at a variety of different Moxy hotels. This brand has always proven to be the right place when traveling. The Moxy Midtown had great staff that were very helpful when navigating the city. We would stay there again!
