Aufenthalt für eine Nacht

Die Lage des Hotels ist super. Nicht weit vom Fluss und Downtown entfernt. Zimmer und Bad sehr geräumig und groß. Betten und Kissen gemütlich. Frühstück mit großer Auswahl und lecker. Die Dame am Check-in war weniger bemüht und etwas lustlos, da hatten wir wohl gerade etwas Pech gehabt. Das tat dem Ganzen aber keinen Abbruch.

Beautiful Hotel, But Management Needs to Get Control of the Property The hotel itself is very nice, but our $500 Saturday-night stay was chaotic and extremely disappointing. At check-in, we were assured our requested baby crib was already in the room. It wasn't, requiring another trip to the front desk. The sports bar was essentially the only place to eat. It was extremely loud, the food mediocre, and part of the lounge had been turned into a play area for four children while the adults sat drinking wine. The biggest problem was a children's hockey team that seemed to have free rein of the hotel. Kids ran through the hallways, monopolized the pool, and "the team" appeared to be staying in a room just three doors from our room. The running, yelling and noise continued throughout the night. Where was management? Hotels are entitled to host sports teams, but one group should never be allowed to take over the pool, hallways and guest floors at the expense of everyone else. Quiet hours and reasonable behavior need to be enforced. Our "river view" also meant listening to cars racing and screeching outside, while music and hotel noise continued into the early morning. We finally gave up trying to sleep at 5:30 a.m., ate breakfast and checked out by 8:00. For approximately $500 a night, guests should be able to expect basic order, use of the amenities and a decent night's sleep. Beautiful property, but very poorly controlled. Management needs to do much better.

Check in was delightful, friendly staff. Always enjoy the Happy hour and breakfast at Embassy Suites. Our first time at this one and it was even better than expected. The fresh cook area was busy and everyone was cheerful and helpful. The buffet selections were kept hot and plentiful. Room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable for our liking.
