Great Fre "made to order" breakfast. FANTASTIC friendly and helpful staff... especially Amanda and Danni. Excellent staff and chef at Jack's Grill. Their "Pretzel Crusted Walleye with Maple sauce was amazing! Beautiful indoor swimming pool. Note: Only some rooms have A/C.

Starting out positive, the decor was cute, it was a small place but there were many issues. If it weren't for a non-refundable stay for 5 nights, we would have checked out earlier. We booked this place out of convenience but it was not worth the amount we paid, at all. Hot hot rooms. Hot water heat and also affected the temp of the showers. Was told to either open the window. If you lowered the temp, you would need to do so below 50degrees, it would not heat up until 48hrs later. If too low or suggested on a note by the thermostat to get a space heater at the front desk. The rooms were VERY noisy. Old building, thin ceilings and walls. Only ice maker broken and had to go to the bartender daily for ice. No microwaves in the room but they had one in the lobby to share with everyone. The pool and the sauna were nice but the whirlpool wasn't hot at all. The pool area was very dirty and needed much repair. (pealing paint on the pool deck and in the whirlpool and pool. (plus mold and corrosion). The fitness center was a joke. Lots of bands and free weights but the treadmill and Elliptigo were not able to be plugged in. Corrosion and rusted. Overall, it appears this place is struggling ALOT and while the Front Office staff were very nice, we are very regretful that we selected this place. Never again.

One of our favorite places to ski, and was finally able to find a time to also stay on the property. Room was nicely updated, however the fridge is tiny & there is no microwave in the room. (There is a shared public one in the main lodge - not convenient if staying at Jackson studios). Also, they have a "fitness center" which is probably 80 degrees with no sort of cooling - not even a floor fan!

Breakfast was really good! Our room was nice & clean. The front desk staff was very friendly and we enjoyed our stay. We stayed in one of the buildings off of the main building. One thing to note, the stairway is narrow to the top floor and there’s not an elevator.

The name of the hotel was not the same on our confirmation, sign by the highway, or on the building. Must have changed names without changing signage three times. They had a fisg and fetch event on july 5th from 5 to 8 to ride the chairlift. We arrived at 540pm and they were done. Room was not cleaned daily and shower never got warm. One high point was the breakfast waitress was awesome and sauna got plenty hot.

I loved how cute the rooms are. They do not have a continental breakfast, or microwaves in the room but we were able to head into town to grab breakfast. We stayed in the double queen studio. The sights on the premises were amazing. The ski lift was super cool, although it was super cold and windy. The hotel staff was super friendly and helpful as well. The only feedback I’d have to the property is to check the cleanliness of the rooms, our room had a few flies in it when we first arrived but I was quickly able to catch them and release them outside.

We were here off season bringing our son to school at Michigan Tech. Very friendly staff, big clean two bedroom (I snore!). We received arm bands allowing us to take a ride on the ski lift in August which was very fun. $40 vale for that ride. The breakfast was not continental - it was a special menu that was cooked to serve out of the kitchen. Probably a $60 vale given the price of most hotels. The rooms had AC even though the listing said they didn’t. Great value and we will be back.

I paid full price in spring. There were no employees to be found. The one kind employee, Joey, eventually made it to the front desk after I called the remote reservations number. Joey was apologetic. The parking lot is a disaster. Other than Joey and the fact that the room I stayed in was very nice, the bar was not attended the breakfast hours were not convenient, and as I described previously, it was a ghost town. Never again.

This was a very nice place. It is very quiet in the summer. The only thing that I would caution is that if you have any need to call them, you will not get a hold of anyone. And, if you check in during a time when no one is working it could be extremely confusing.

Construction started early morning just below my room, without any disclaimer from the staff. Imagine that - they put people in the rooms in the unfinished building. Another thing - I unfortunately left behind a bag of personal items and staff was impossible to get a hold of on multiple attempts. When I had a problem at check in the person at the desk told me to talk to the manager in the morning "I just work here". In the morning the manager was not working. The hotel itself and the area around the hotel smells of weed and BO. The room itself was small, which from the pictures, was to be expected. The temperature in the room was 76 degrees, I turned the thermostat down and opened the window which, by the next morning got the room to a slightly uncomfortable 72 degrees. Walls and doors are thin, between the noise and the heat it was a very poor night sleep. Staff was unhelpful, room was flat out bad, pool and hot tub were nice.

The Stay was nice. The only trouble was after checking in we discovered our pooch wasn't allowed in the main lodge where our room was booked. Guest registration was able to switch the booking around to another building to accommodate my pooch. It was a very positive experience. The front desk person was understanding of the mix up. If you have a pooch and book through Expedia, call the resort ahead of time to ensure the reservation is for a pet friendly room. I will book here again. The Continental breakfast was good too.

I always enjoy staying at ski resorts in the off season, and Snowriver fits the bill. Lodging was reasonably priced. It was relatively quiet, but very scenic. The location was perfect for exploring surrounding waterfalls, lakefront, and Porcupine Mountains State Park. The room was compact, but very clean and comfortable. I think it would be tight if sharing this space amongst 4 people just due to lack of seating options and no room to spread out or just hang out in the room. (I don’t know where one would put all the luggage for 4 people with all their ski gear for a long weekend.) However it was fine if one is just using the room to sleep and then get ready in the morning (which is how I use hotels). My only real (first world) problem was lack of functional WiFi. There was occasionally a very weak and slow signal that disappeared more than it was available, but it was not sufficient to actually use during my stay. Consequently I burned up a lot of cell phone data during my stay.

We got there after dark and our cabin wasnt on the property so the way the front desk person told us to get there was confusing and the road to the cabin wasn't lit up and there were no lights on in the cabin so we had a hard time finding it. Once we got in, it was clean just didnt realize we we'd be so far off the property.

Property needs to put a visible address sign at entrance to prooerty. Hard to find at night. Property name on reservation did not match sign at the location. 3 collage grad people did not think the "The Lodge" was the same amas. Snow River Mountain Resort. We came in at night. The after hrs checkin worked ok but we believe the unit numbers should match the directions given .in other words . Put the actual unit numbers visible on the building id instead of current numbers.

Check in was great. We went to our room which was clean and had comfortable beds. The chairlift ride was a lot of fun. That is where the good ended for our stay. The tv in our room and the staff did try to figure it out but she didn’t know how to get it to work. Breakfast the next morning was a joke. The food was not edible and they were understaffed. We could have forgiven the poor service of the food was okay. For the price we paid to stay here is definitely was not worth it.

We stayed at the property while passing through. It is not ski resort season, but we thought we would explore the area. The staff member a young man who lived up the road was very polite. We arrived late, limited people around. The short fall while booking was the restaurants advertised on property, including breakfast made to order. Unfortunately, we stayed at a rate of $145 and anticipated at least breakfast. Knowing this location is going through ownership transition we completely understand and have no complaints as we had the property to ourselves. I suggested the location to my brother-in-law and niece who are avid skiers. Hopefully, we can return to the area and accommodations are aligned with the new ownership expectations. Thank you
