Lovely hotel, would definitely stay in again. The rooms were very large and had everything we needed. While the roof top seating area was under construction and the pool was an adventure to find, we enjoyed the amenities. Breakfast was ok, a wee bit too salty for me. The only complaint I had was parking. Being downtown, obviously parking spaces are a premium, but when the very few handicap spaces were taken, the parking garage was a bit of a hike to do on a cane

Bed was extremely comfortable, the facilities available including the pool and gym were nice. Breakfast was disappointing because the quality was not consistent however the service during breakfast as far as the staff making sure things were clean and stations were replenished was great. Front desk staff were helpful and friendly. The room was clean and came with a nice view of the city. Location was great for dining and close to many attractions. Very walkable. I did contact guest services to schedule a cleaning service during my stay however when I returned to my room that evening, it hadn't been cleaned or serviced. It looked like nobody had come by for turnover service even though I called and scheduled for it. I did not end up requesting a service again because my stay was coming to an end. I did however request some amenities which were delivered to my room promptly. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would recommend it to anyone visiting.

Indoor parking is a tad limited, due to sharing the garage with Hampton Inn Suites. Parking and navigation in the garage is very narrow/tight.

Overall a good stay, however my first night I needed to request new bedsheets as the ones in my room did not appear clean and my shower was clogged and not draining. They did provide me new sheets fairly quickly and got the shower fixed the next day, but it’s not a good first impression after a long day. Otherwise staff was nice and my stay was pleasant enough, good breakfast. Pool is okay. Only 4 feet so hard to swim.

Staff was super helpful and kind. Breakfast was AMAZING with many options to eat! GREAT location to attractions/waterfront. Great views of the harbour. Great kitchenette. Needs to work on: Cleanliness: carpet/furniture/pillows in the the room were stained; bathroom had long hair from a previous guest; hot water for showers was inconsistent. When I asked for room service/refresh, no one arrived.

The hotel is not very clean. The pool is hazy and dirty deck with hair everywhere. We had to change our room a couple days in, the bed was awful hard as rock and leaned on one side. The bathroom door wouldn’t close, mould around bath tub, stained furniture all over the room.

This was a great hotel very conveniently located in downtown Halifax. We had views of the harbour from our room, and loved when we walked to the elevator we had great views of the Citadel. It is a downhill walk to the water, and the hills are steep so coming home at the end of the night was a lot, but not difficult. Hotel staff were very accommodating and helpful. They always asked at breakfast if we needed anything for our room. I didn’t realize when I booked that breakfast was included so that was a nice surprise. Everything was clean. Housekeeping is every second day which is great. Having a kitchen to keep a few basic items was very handy for a long trip. We stayed a week here and it was lovely. Would prioritize this hotel if we return.

My stay at the Homewood Suites Halifax-Downtown was okay, but nothing special. The hotel, despite not being that old, looks a little rundown. While being very clean, most of the walls had scratches on them (especially outside the room) and the bathroom had lots of limescale that seems to have become permanent. Other than that I enjoyed the large safe, the very comfortable bed and the free hot breakfast (which was only missing the waffle maker compared to other Homewood Suites I stayed at). One other bad thing to note though: My room (306, if I remember correctly) had a very weird smell, as if it had previously been a smoking room.

this property is painfully under staffed. There was only one person on the reception desk and while there was only one other customer with whom she was dealing, it took 20 minutes before a second person was called to the reception desk.

It was a great stay! Even to extend was super easy. They were accommodating and understanding. Lots of really great employees, and we enjoyed the buffet breakfast. I did have a small incident with the peep hole, they have a cover on them, they are metal. It wasn't anyone's fault and the staff was DILIGENT in helping . That's what made me love this place more. I felt seen and heard; they were right by my side.

Check in was a nightmare. We had requested early check-in, but when we arrived they told us our reservation was switched to sister hotel next door, and early check in was not available, but to go to other hotel for 3 pm. When came back, we were told our room was still not ready, so we waited in hotel lobby until nearly 6 pm, ruining both our afternoon and dinner plans. I would not recomment this site unless you like sitting around a crowded hotel lobby waiting for your room

Although the staff did lots to try and remedy my stay - I had a string of negative experiences especially the cleanliness of the rooms, and confusion around my nightly rate, as well as overcharging me at first. They did upgrade my room, which was much appreciated, but I was a solo traveller and didn’t need the space, would have preferred to have a seamless trip in a small room. Again I do want to acknowledge how attentive the staff was once I brought forward my concerns.

The staff was wonderful. Upon arrival the front desk staff allowed us to check in early and even upgraded us to a suite which was quite a surprise. Overall we were very happy with our stay and would absolutely recommend this hotel in the future. Thank you all!

The hotel is very nice. We had a large room with kitchen and separate sitting area. There was also a breakfast included. I liked the outdoor space available and parking wasn’t too far away. The downside is that it’s a hike up to get back to the hotel from the waterfront because Halifax is on a hill.

Although it is paid parking in the nearby structure, it was convenient. The staff is extremely attentive, from the breakfast staff who kept everything stocked and varied every morning, to the front desk which accommodated our every request with a smile.Added bonus: the Indian restaurant across the street is outstanding.
