Rethymnian Gem Luxury Villa

We stayed 14 days at Villa Gerani, a party of 8 including two kids. It is a well functioning and very comfortable newly build villa, with great bedrooms and good facilities. It is well positioned, and has a large garden with a nice pool with views of the Mediterranean. We have rented from other high-end suppliers of Mediterranean villas including Tuscany Now and the Thinking Traveller and the overall experience was absolutely among the better once. In particular the very helpful staff and the caretaker, Teo, who was exceptional - very hospitable and welcoming. Overall a five star experience - many thanks, Teo and staff.

When I booked "Rethymnian Gem" there weren't any reviews, but I was assured by the owner that this was due to the Villa being brand new. Sure enough, Rethymnian Gem is brand new and beautiful! The setting is breathtaking with lovely landscaping and an infinity pool overlooking the sea. The villa offers 6 bedrooms each with an ensuite bathroom.Three bedrooms have sliding glass doors to the pool area and one opens to a private porch and hot tub. The fifth bedroom has a separate private entrance. Each bedroom is unique, with elegant furnishings and storage space. There is a 6th bathroom that includes a washing machine. The living room, dining area and kitchen are larger than portrayed in the photos and everything is modern, clean and new. We are a family of 7 and everyone felt comfortable with more than enough room to spread out. A play and pack crib and high chair were provided for the baby, along with a play house and slide in the backyard. The location is perfect - close to several beaches, supermarkets, restaurants and the old city of Rethymno. We have rented dozens of homes on Vrbo and other sites, and "Rethymnian Gem" is by far the nicest. It could easily be featured in Architecural Digest and we were lucky to be the first VRBO renters to use it. Teo, one of the owners met us at check in and clearly explained all we needed to know about the house and the area He was welcoming, warm and kind and made us feel at home. We highly recommend a stay here!

Wir sahen das Exposee, die Bilder und die Beschreibung der Villa und waren anfangs skeptisch, da nicht wirklich viele Bewertungen existierten. In der Villa angekommen, konnten wir uns dann endlich live überzeugen, dass die Villa existiert :-) Schon beim Betreten auf das Gelände wird man vom unglaublichen Panorama überwältigt. Eine traumhafte Kulisse, eine atemberaubende Aussicht auf das Meer und die wunderschöne Villa wartet auf Sie! wir waren als Familie inkl. 3 Kinder als auch 3 Freunden, also gesamt zu 8 in der Villa. der Außenbereich - EIN TRAUM! der Innenbereich - EIN TRAUM! Alles sehr neuwertig und gepflegt mit viel Platz für jedermann. Alle von uns (gesamt 8 Urlauber) waren von Anfang an glücklich + zufrieden mit der Villa. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Der Standort der Villa ist super: In nur wenigen Minuten ist man im wunderschönen Rethymno. Im Süden der Insel ist man in ca 1 Stunde. Was ebenfalls äußerst positiv war: der Service. Der Besitzer Theo als auch sein Cousin (ebenfalls Theo) waren herzlich und äußerst zuvorkommend. So wurde die Villa Mitte unserer Ferien von einem externen Team gereinigt. Theo hat regelmäßig über WhalsApp nachgefragt, ob er etwas tun kann. Und so war Theo immer über WhatsApp erreichbar. Alle 8 der Villen-Urlauber hat die Villa glück, erholt und mit sehr positiven Gefühlen verlassen - nur traurig, dass der Urlaub zuende ging. Fazit: TIP TOP VILLA! EIN ABSOLUTER TRAUM! Jederzeit immer wieder gerne und absolut zu empfehlen!
