City Express Plus by Marriott Cancun Aeropuerto Riviera

Waited 20 mins while trying to be checked in. The gentleman was trying to run two hotel receptions at the same time. Doesn't work. Beautiful pool area. However, whoever did the pool repairs to the border ledge did not complete schooling, or training for this repair. Sad. No fresh air posible for the rooms. Windows don't open. Air is warm, moist and stale....:/

We tried every credit and debot card we had and they didn't work the front desk just said it was our cards and adter a while they just realized they should check their systems. They allowed us to do early check in wich was super nice. The bell boy was super nice Richard he's a very kind man. Parking is very narrow. The towels aren't the greatest. The shower leaked badly soaking all the bath mats. We had to order extra ones. Overall is nice for just a night before catchig a flight.

It id close to the airport, staff really friendly. Room nice and convenient. Halls floors need maintenance. There were some repairs going on the lobby and was terribly noise. Other than that, was ok. I would stay here again.

Clean room and good pool

Clean. Great pool but be careful of the flooring. The fake wooden planks are starting to curl so not be best for elderly person. Room service cheeseburger and fries didn’t disappoint.

Es nuevo, bien ubicado, cómodo, un desayuno básico pero suficiente. Lo único que no me gustó sería el estacionamiento subterráneo, muy pequeño de difícil acceso, pero todo lo demás, excelente.

Close to airport. Staff spoke very little English. Led to some confusion with the free transportation shuttle. Restaurant staff was not very attentive. Had to have front desk find someone that worked there. Sky bar was closed.

Nice property, pool, free transportation and breakfast.

The room and hotel were ok for the price, the free airport shuttle was convenient for an early morning flight, the room was nice and modern but the bathroom had hairs in the shower, sink and floor, which was a bit of a let down from an overall nice hotel.

Hair in the bed sheets, in both beds. There were no towels at all in the bathroom, asked twice but they never arrived- still waiting lol

Muy mala experiencia, el hotel está muy sucio, pasillos, elevadores, salas. La habitación nos tocó muy sucia, con cabellos en la cama, nos tuvimos que cambiar de hotel, imposible pasar la nocje ahí

Las instalaciones están muy desgastadas, la limpieza no es muy buena.

No me gustó que no tienen sábanas en las camas que te cubrres con la colcha es difícil estar cambiando la cubre colcha diario yo pregunté que porque no había sábana para cubrirte y me dijeron que no ponían solo la colcha y eso me parece que no está bien nada higiénico

Property was average. It is Ok if you are just looking to sleep and catch an early flight. I would not stay here again. The shower towels are horrible and seem very worn. The pillows are uncomfortable. I woke up with a sore back. Bathroom is tiny.

The room is small. No bath towels in the room when we arrived. Only 1 bottle water in the room that can sleep 4 people. Feels like everything is upon request. In general, it's a very simple hotel to stay between transfers.

Its fine for a one night stay. Clean but small rooms. The desk staff were quite young and seemed uninterested in helping.

Just okay. Also have a sofa bed in the room that made traveling with kids more comfortable.

The hallways of the hotel were a bit destroyed, I didn't like that the bathroom in the room couldn't be closed and that the only window that the room had couldn't be opened since there was some humidity inside.

Lacks USB CONTACTS but 1 in the whole room. We could not charge two appliances or phones! Really, old TV SET!

Nothing close by. Huge mall being built client but not open yet. Towels were thin and small. No coffee machine or fridge. Only warm water. Not hot. Flooring in hallways is horrible. Good breakfast. Nice pool

La atención de la gente cuando legamos dos de ellas fueron malas y groseras

Okay hotel. The Free Hotel shuttle bus is a complete joke!!! Waited 90 minutes and ruined our arrival. When booking here make sure to get Shuttle booked well in advance as Hotel does not make it easy on you. Ingrid and Samantha were nice in giving us late checkout til 7pm!

Terrible service when checking in after a long waiting got the key and when I get to the room there was a person inside and I had to go back to the front desk so they give me another room. I heard that other guests could not get a room even when they had a reservation.

Beware of this hotel, it is serving taxi mafia in Cancun!!! I wish I read reviews earlier, happened to me twice already that the staff is "unintentionally" making mistakes when booking your transportation, or leaving you there and immediately offering you 30-80 usd private taxi to the airport. Of course they get a cut from it and do not care. YOU CANNOT BOOK YOUR SHUTTLE BACK FROM THE AIRPORT UNTIL YOU'VE CHECKED IN, it takes only 20 mins tops but they said it can take 2 hours because of road works, DO NOT LET THEM FOOL YOU! They claim UBER is not legal, but it is. So, uber is 10 usd, be cautious and treat them like a friend or family, call them to come together and protect yourself. Security staff from the hotel had physically harmed uber drivers. First time, "new girl" messed up my shuttle booking and I lost my flight, this time, guy from the shuttle who we personally talked to and explained last story left us when he saw us coming downstairs. Bell buttons and cleaning staff all thristy to get the private taxi cut. Rooms not clean and this time horrible stink of humidity because rooms have no ventilation or extractors. No windows, not enough towels. Breakfast was a scam. You have to basically ask for forks, glasses, cups, more juice served to the bar, more fruit, as they don't dispense it even though people ask. While on the pool I overheard staff conversations about guests who left walking the hotel because the private taxi wanted to rip them off. Total scam.

It took 30 minutes to check in. Our room had NO towels at all. It took 3 hours to get towels for a cold shower. No warm water, even! Though I asked for the shuttle and they told me what times were available, I chose the 6:45am and told to be there 5 minutes early...when I came down in the morning...I was told I had not booked it??? I ended up having to get an Uber. WTH!!?

Perfect...everything went good..there were some.problems in check in but manager Laura is very good in handling and resolving challenges during our stay...she is so professional and hard working...

Fueron dos experiencias horribles. Tanto a la llegada como a la ida … el servicio de transfer es nefasto… uno como extranjero que llega solo Cuenta con el wifi del aeropuerto y el diste de chat o medios para reservarla son imposibles . Inclusive cuando una amiga que si vivía en México se cansó de avisar que llegaba como a las 2 am … 1;50 am yo mandando mensajes desde el aeropuerto y nadie responde … y los que responden no tienen idea de los andenes o terminales . Es evidente que es un mal servicio.

No está mal, pero debería haber más personal de atención a huéspedes las 24 hrs, y ver que hayan la condiciones apropiadas para recibirlos. No puede ser que al llegar te digan no hay llaves para el cuarto, que se agotaron y te hacen esperar hasta que se desocupe el de recepción para llevarte a tu cuarto y abrirte. Llega uno a la habitación y no hay toallas, las pides no las llevan, vas por ellas a recepción y lo mismo, tienes que esperar que el de recepción se desocupe para que las vaya a buscar y mientras hay una cola de gente esperando que los lleven a su cuarto o bien por apoyo de un servicio.

Ideal for a nights stop after flying in to Cancun but be warned they have a good marketing team and I wouldn’t want to stay here for anything more than a quick stay over. Basic but perfectly adequate!

a pocos minutos del aereopuerto, pero casi dentro del outlet, muy comodo para hacer un poco de compras y estar cerca del aereopuerto para un vuelo temprano

Nice area and big mall a few steps away

very close to airport which makes it suitable for a long layover or short night before or after flying. clean rooms, nice pool. only 1 restaurant. Pool service is pretty weak. I found someone and paid for a bottle of wine. 45 minutes later the wine had not shown up - or my change. I found someone else who looked after it but staff was at a minimum in this area. also the airport shuttle is not private - it is shared so they will pick up other people at other termiinals. we arrived at 12:00 noon and didn't arrive at hotel until 2:30pm (it's a 12 minute drive). that took up a few of our hours.

La ubicación es muy buena para viajar de tarde noche y esperar el check in en algún otro hotel al día siguiente, se encuentra frente al outlet lo que da oportunidad de ir a conocer

Muy buena opción, cerca del aeropuerto, incluye traslados, frente a una plaza comercial con opciones de comida y compras.

Proche de l’aéroport ce qui est un plus, a cote d’un immense centre commercial extérieur de l’autre cote de la rue. Par contre les option de restauration sont limite a l’hôtel donc peu de choix, aucun restaurant ou épicerie a distance de marche. Tres loin de cancun et de la zone hôtelière. Pas de transport vers l’aéroport avec l’hotel. Vous devez prendre un taxi ou un uber. Le transfert de l’aéroport a pris 15 min et a coute 100$ us, du vrai vol.L’hotel en tant que tel est correct sans plus, vue ordinaire, chambre moderne, certaines installation sont très vétuste genre la piscine. Le déjeuner est très sommaire. Je ne crois pas que je retournerais.

The stay was ok if your looking for a quick rest. They advertise a free breakfast but its only continental breakfast. They have hot breakfast but it seems to be for different people which is not explained. The staff was nice but nobody spoke English which was hard to communicate with them. The only good thing was that there is a mall right across the street and you can get everything there.

I like they have free transportation from the airport to the hotel and back. I loved their swimming pool. Complimentary breakfast is good, I wish they had included eggs. The hotel is very modern and clean. The staff is attentive. The only problem is that if you are eating at the restaurant the food is very expensive. When I say expensive I mean the portion or quality of the menu is not valued at the price they sell it for. They did not have some things from the menu. They changed a chicken soup because they did not have rice and served us noodles without chicken. So, basically it was just pasta with water. The nachos were watery, and the chips were swimming and soggy. So, they need to lower their prices or provide better quality meals.

El hotel tiene una calificacion muy baja. A pesar de eso me arriesgue a realizar una reservacion. Es cierto que el desayuno es de 6 a 9 am y que continental pero esta delicioso!!!. La piscina, la habitacion, el personal, la ubicacion y el centro comercial que esta enfrente lo hacen perfecto. Me volveria a quedar.

The hotel is perfect, clean, with all conditions. My only complaint is that in the restaurant they always try to overcharge you, it happened to me on the 3 occasions that I went. Check the bill.

No hay nada cerca para cenar, el seven que sale cerca está cerrado. No había nada para comprar en el hotel ni room service. El desayuno ahí nos dijeron que era solo barra fría y si queríamos algo más se pagaba extra

One of the worst properties I’ve ever stayed at smelly, dirty, bad service, it says breakfast is from 6 to 9 and was there at six and nothing was ready until 7 AM

Continental beakfast with additional charge for the buffet of eggs, etc seemed cheap. 6-9 am time for breakfast seemed also non standard. No towels in the room and no sheets for the sofa bed. During breakfast at different points they ran out of plates, forks, etc. Holiday season so I sympathize how the the staff had to struggle with so many clients But the management needs to simply put the resources and staff to keep the quality at a level associated with the Marriot Brand. Right now it is not even close.

Muy bien el hotel cuartos de buen tamaño, unicamente el desayuno que incluye es solo fruta y yogurth realmente está muy pobre
