This is definitely a beautiful place to stay. Although it was difficult finding it at first. Our GPS took us to the town about 9 miles north. I contacted the hotel and right away they sent me a pin location. It's about a mile of somewhat rough road to get to the vineyard. But once we got there it was definitely worth it. The place is not huge but it's big enough that you have privacy and enjoy the place without walking too much. We were there Monday -wednesday and felt that we had the vineyard and restaurant to ourselves. Which was wonderful. Thursday onward is their busy days. The restaurant was so pretty and big. Chef Eduardo made the best food and really connected with us and explained his ingredients. Their wine tasting room is so cute and aesthetic. The wine bar only opens on the weekends and the pizza bar by the pool too. The cabin was so cute and rustic. The only thing I didn't like was the strong smell of detergent on the bed sheets. I'm just sensitive to strong scents. They are super pet friendly. We will definitely be back. I don't know how full it is during the weekends but if you want some peace quiet and privacy and are okay without some of their amenities, early weekdays is the best place to go. Oh and their wines are amazing!

The check in process was super easy. We stayed in a mini cabin. The room was great and really clean. The property is beautiful and well maintained. We had excellent drinks at the wine bar. I would highly recommend staying here.

Is a beautiful quiet place we will be back soon I recommend this place they have a great bar and restaurant. You can order pizza at the bar and they bring it up to the bar for you. We walked all of the property it was very nice and quiet.

Absolutely beautiful. We had a great experience at check in, in the Wine Bar, Restaurant(food was delicious) friendly staff and the stone oven pizza for a late night munch was amazing. Very convenient so many different activities to do while you are there. Will be coming back soon.

This our second time staying here and both times have been wonderful. We felt safe and staff is incredible. It's quaint and lot's to do. The Wine Bar is a pretty cool place to be with an awesome view of the vineyard and surroundings. Love their wine, one of my favorite places in Valle. Price is reasonable. Fun tours as well. The cabins are unique, very clean with all the amenities. You won't be disappointed.

The Mini Cabañas are beautiful, and cozy perfect for a couple. Situated in the middle of-the beautiful vineyard. We went in March and it was cold so make sure you turn on the heater all day/night to maintain the cabin at the perfect temperature if going during the winter months. The heater was quite noisy though. Also, the cabin is very intimate, all facilities(shower/restroom) are available but they are uncovered and open, with only small walls separating them from the main living space so you need to be very comfortable with your partner. The shower can have alternating water pressure and temperature. No TV or fridge. Wifi works well. You get room service/cleaning daily if needed. You park right outside your cabin. Also they can start a bonfire outside your cabin for an extra charge. 360 wine bar was nice, good snacks/small plates and wine tasting. Getting to the location is off a long dirt path from the main highway, lots of wholes if it has been raining. Security guard at the front was great, felt safe. Good stay, recommended.

Todo esta muy rico en este hotel, excepto los baños de algunas habitaciones que no son privados, practicamente estan al lado de la cama divididos por una pared mas baja que el techo. Puedes ponerte a platicar con el de la cama mientras estas en el baño. El Skybar esta padrisimo.

We’ve been several times but we wanted to try the mini cabins. Not worth it, bed and pillows are very stiff, save the hassle and get the regular cabin instead. Not too much of a difference in cost but it’s definitely a better option.

The cabin was nice with a great view and we really loved the company we had by a white fluffy kitty they had there, he was so friendly! 😻 However, I did knock off a star because it did not have a TV, no mini fridge and no sink/shelf space for our toiletries.

Quiet and felt safe. The property was secluded from the main highway. Cabin was cute and cozy. Good water pressure, shower was a good size. Cabin also had AC. Nice view with our cabin. Very nice winery area. Restaurant food was decent, seemed a little higher prices than usual. Pool was good for my kids. Would stay again. Visited 5/23/25

The property is beautiful. The room is small but nice. The internet didnt work at all which is ok as it is nice to get a break but in our case we needed to be able to communicate with our kids so it was a problem. Told staff twice internet wasnt working, they kept giving us new networks to try but once we got to the room those networks didnt appear on our devices so there was no way to connect.

I’ve stayed at Don Tomas several times and loved it—except for one recurring issue: the receptionist, Patricia. While the rest of the staff is exceptional, Patricia’s attitude is consistently rude. On my recent stay in December, when the hotel was mostly empty, I booked an extra night and asked to keep the same room. She refused to help, saying she wasn’t “in the mood for English today,” even though she knew my Spanish is very limited and she’s capable of speaking English. This wasn’t an isolated incident, as she’s dismissed reasonable requests in the past. It’s disappointing because I truly enjoy the property and other staff, but Patricia’s treatment made me feel so unwelcome that I left instead of staying the extra night. I’d love to return, but not if this continues.

No volvería, negaron el servicio en el restaurante antes del horario de cierre y los meseros muy desinteresados del tema. El bar cerrado también, según tienen bar junto a la alberca y tampoco, no vale la pena.

First time at Don Tomas. Our spacious cabin for my family of 4 was nice. My kids really enjoyed the pool! We had the best experience with a representative named Omar. He was professional, knowledgeable & made our experience very memorable.

The property is located on a vineyard about a half mile off the main highway on an unpaved road, however we made it fine in our Prius. Checkin went smoothly, room was clean and the view out the window was exactly as advertised (in cabana 8). It was very peaceful, quiet stay.

The place is not huge but it's big enough that you have privacy and enjoy the place without walking too much. We were there Monday -wednesday and felt that we had the vineyard and restaurant to ourselves. Which was wonderful. Thursday onward is their busy days. The restaurant was so pretty and big. Chef Eduardo made the best food and really connected with us and explained his ingredients. Their wine tasting room is so cute and aesthetic. The wine bar only opens on the weekends and the pizza bar by the pool too. The cabin was so cute and rustic. The only thing I didn't like was the strong smell of detergent on the bed sheets. I'm just sensitive to strong scents. They are super pet friendly. We will definitely be back. I don't know how full it is during the weekends but if you want some peace quiet and privacy and are okay without some of their amenities, early weekdays is the best place to go. Oh and their wines are amazing!

We really liked the property, the beauty of the grape vines all over with the various buildings located throughout. Lovely pool, more than several dining options without leaving the property. The Cabañas were cute and with nice amenities including a coffee machine and welcome cookies. The property is nicely situated to nearby wineries. Only suggestion, maybe a hook in the restroom to hang clothes if one chooses to dress in private. There is one outside the restroom which we used for towels. Oh, and the Mojitos 👍

We visited in November, great moment because the weather, the low occupancy but not all the areas were opened. The lake was not in use, the restaurant closed at 17, opened for Breakfast at 9am, the bar 360 has no food, only drinks. Pizzas only during weekend near the pool area.

This is a great option for Valle. The grounds are great, rooms are comfortable, pet friendly, beautiful vineyard views, and the pool during season is nice. One thing to mention service is slow, and the food at the restaurant not worth it. If you can get past that I recommend.

Absolutely beautiful. We had a great experience at check in, in the Wine Bar, Restaurant(food was delicious) friendly staff and the stone oven pizza for a late night munch was amazing. Very convenient so many different activities to do while you are there. Will be coming back soon.

We rented cabins 7, 8 and 9. The cabins were spacious and well equipped, had a beautiful view over the vineyard and were a short walking distance to the restaurant, bar, swimming pool and reception. The reception staff were charming and very helpful. We enjoyed having breakfast and one dinner in the restaurant which has also a large shaded terrace. The long opening hours of the bar allowed us to wind down the day with games and talk after a day of exploring the valley. The high rating is well deserved and we would stay again.
