This hotel is an excellent hotel very clean and very modern looking inside, had a very enjoyable one night stay. The only 2 slight criticisms I have are as follows: 1. On arrival you enter the hotel via gate at the back of the building but you have to ring mobile numbers etc trying to get hold of someone to let you in seems very awkward. Should you not at least send the gate code with your welcome email message? Woukd help and if the reception is staffed you could leave the other door unlocked and the guests would be able to walk in rather than stood on the street trying 3 different phone numbers to gain access to the hotel wasn’t a good experience. 2. There was no central heating, so in the morning the room was freezing cold? I could not see any radiators etc. this also wasn’t great. But overall the place looks lovely and it looks like it is very well maintained and very clean.. Thank you

The hotel was very well located for watching a football game at Anfield. The street parking sign states that it is for residents only, but the owner of the hotel told us that it was ok to park. There are no lifts in this small 8 room hotel, so it can be a struggle to carry your bags to your room. There is also no restaurant in the hotel for breakfast or a meal. There are some takeaways in the vicinity. It is a 20 minute bus ride into the city.

Great customer service, before and on arrival from Paul and Abdul. We had a family suite for 5 of us and the space was amazing. Very modern and clean inside. We only stayed 1 night but would have happily stayed longer. Only trouble we had was parking nearby as lots of the streets are residents permit holders only and the free spaces were taken when we arrived. Perfect location for walking to the stadiums.

Renovated old house, with a very unique feeling. We were a family of 5, and started in the family accommodation for one night in Liverpool. The unit has one large room with one double and two single beds and a bathroom, and an additional master suite upstairs, just under the roof, with a double bed and a bathroom. The large room downstairs also had a small fridge, which we going useful. The building has many stairs and no elevator, but the owner was very helpful and helpex us with our luggage. The area next to the hotel doesn't have much to offer, everything was already closer when we got there around 20:00, and we're still close when we left around 8 the next morning. Getting to the city center is about 15-20 minutes by taxi, and a little more by bus. W would certainly consider going back there if our path takes us to Liverpool again.again.

I had sent 2 emails advising we'd have a late check in- taking the train from London. We never got a response. The outside pics of the hotel are NOT accurate. The pub downstairs is not affiliated with the hotel, and the 'entrance' to the hotel is on a side street with bolted double barn doors. No one answered the phone # posted on the wall outside. We had to go into the pub and they let us into the 'courtyard' via a back door. The stairs up to the hotel are metal (think fire escape stairs), and we had 2 large pieces of luggage + backpacks. The gentleman from the hotel helped us with the luggage, but the stairs were dicey at best in the damp environment of Liverpool. The inside of the hotel is BEAUTIFUL! The room was wonderful and the front desk attendants were great. There was no check in process - just showed him my passport. Also, not told when check out was (assumed 11am), but a gruff cleaning man at 10am told us it was 10:30. Overall it was a nice room, but would not stay again.

This hotel is a quick 10-minute ride from the Liverpool Train Station in the heart of Liverpool. The bus stop is just steps away -- maybe two minutes. Numerous buses arrive FREQUENTLY at all hours. My room was large with luxurious bed and bath. However, The Glebe rate should be lower because it is an "air bnb"-type facility with no hotel staff and it is not located in the usual hotel area. Nothing wrong with that! However, the rate should accurately reflect the offering. When I arrived, I got a code to access the property and a key to open both the hotel door and my room. I never saw another person during my three-night stay: not in the office nor in the hotel. There are a few high stairs to access the property so I would not recommend this for the infirm. The neighborhood felt safe and has lots of neighborhood stores for meals and snacks. There is a bar/club facility for mature people on the first floor. I heard music ONE NIGHT but it ended at a very reasonable time. I would recommend this hotel without reservation at a lower price due to location and lack of staff. However, if you want a quieter hotel away from the hustle and noise of the main hotel areas: The Glebe is perfect.

My girlfriend and I stayed in this hotel over the weekend and we loved it. The hotel has heaps of character, the decor is modern and the hotel is very clean. The owner, Paul, was lovely and clearly passionate about the hotel and the service provided. We would certainly stay here again.

On arrival the owner, Paul met us with a very warm and friendly greeting. We were advised of how the placed worked -getting through the secure doors etc, and shown to reception. Paul was very attentive and friendly, giving the impression that nothing was too much trouble. The areas that we saw were very nicely decorated - to a high standard, and the whole place was very clean. The room was a good size, again very clean and well maintained. Some lovely high ceilings and wooden beams with a lovely glass window feature to let the light in. The bed was really comfy and we had a great nights sleep.The en-suite was really nice and well presented. Plenty of tea and coffee / milk sugar etc with more on offer at reception if required. The outside noise was pretty quiet. Paul also recommended places to eat as well - 10 minutes down the road is the Lion restaurant (Sri Lankan / Japanese) food which was fantastic ). The people we met in Liverpool were so friendly - it was a real pleasure to visit. Would we go back to The Glebe - absolutely YES! - Thanks Paul (and team) - we give you 5 stars throughout , and thoroughly deserved.

Received the warmest of welcome from Paul We did early check at a cost of £20, standard with all hotels theses days Paul gave us some history & information on the property and the surrounding area Our room was lovely exactly as it was on the pictures We were in room 6 on the front of the building There was complementary water & the room & bathroom were immaculately clean If you are a light sleeper, you may need earplugs as even though the room has inner glazing, you can hear traffic and the pelican crossing, an eye mask may also be advisable as the stained glass window is lovely it does make the toom bright in the morning These are not negatives... just a heads up There is an honesty box for drinks & snacks An uber is about £7.00 to the docks We could walk to Ainfield in about 20mins for a concert we were going to I would highly recommend The Glebe Hotel

Overall not too bad, could do with dusting a lot of cobwebs and dust over looking the top floor in the vip suite. One of the single beds had a red spot stain on the bed sheet and the pillow case needed replacing. And the tv mounted to the wall need to be swivel ones so you can pull them out a bit so you can access the HDMI port so your children can use their consoles when bored.

The room itself was absolutely stunning. Gorgeous high beamed ceilings with a little chandelier, big spacious double room and a nice sized en-suite. Clean, and a very comfy bed. Hospitality from Paul exceeded our expectations, he was very friendly, informative and is clearly very passionate about his business.

Paul, the owner and host, went out of his way to meet us on arrival and allow us an early check-in due to the timing of our visit and the match we were seeing. The room was spotlessly clean with very comfortable beds and a great shower.

This has to be called a hidden gem, the most passionate and welcoming owner Paul, what a genuine lovely guy, the room was impeccably clean, it felt like I was in my own home, the standard of decor is above and beyond what you would expect, I was even shown a family room which was stunning! I have found myself a new retreat in will be back soon. This will also be passed to my work colleagues and friends. Thank you Paul you and the team have done an amazing job and look forward to coming back. Many thanks Mark

The hotel is just beautiful! Our room was outstanding. The kids all loved it. We stayed in the family suite and the upstairs room is actually separate with it’s own bathroom, not quite clear in the pictures but an added bonus. Decor is modern and everywhere was clean with a fantastic, friendly host.

This hotel was done out lovely, the thing that ruined it for me and the reason I. Won’t go back was the cheap uncomfortable bedding! The pillows I took pictures of as seeing was believing if they cost £3 they would have been robbed. They measured less than 2imches thick and were solid flattened bricks. The duvet was a cheap crinkle one. I was soooooo disappointed, what’s the point of doing your hotel up and scrimping on the comforts, your customers don’t want poor sleep quality

We had a great stay as a family of four for a weekend for the Comic con convention in Liverpool. The hotel was lovely and the family sweet had separate sleeping are for parents. Rooms had everything we needed and were very confortable. Paul the host was very friendly and welcoming. Plenty of shops near by and within easy reach of bus and metro links to city centre. The building is beautiful and really worth a stay. The kids loved all of its quirky features. We had a great stay thank you.

The room itself was absolutely stunning. Gorgeous high beamed ceilings with a little chandelier, big spacious double room and a nice sized en-suite. Clean, and a very comfy bed. Hospitality from Paul exceeded our expectations, he was very friendly, informative and is clearly very passionate about his business.

Lovely stay, greeted by the owner Paul who gave us an immediate upgrade to the family suite which included a mezzanine that the kids loved. They could escape up there and have privacy and comfort. The building was a renovated listed property and decor was justice to the history of the build. The cleanliness was second to none considering I was a housekeeping Manager myself and know exactly what could get missed. Nothing missed. Proximity to everything we were there for (Everton match) was just super. Will definitely stay again.

The customer service at this hotel was perfect, Great character in the hotel , our host was very friendly and told us everything we needed to know, the room was great and very clean and nicely decorated. I had a great night sleep. Thank you for the great stay!

This hotel is an excellent hotel very clean and very modern looking inside, had a very enjoyable one night stay. The only 2 slight criticisms I have are as follows: 1. On arrival you enter the hotel via gate at the back of the building but you have to ring mobile numbers etc trying to get hold of someone to let you in seems very awkward. Should you not at least send the gate code with your welcome email message? Woukd help and if the reception is staffed you could leave the other door unlocked and the guests would be able to walk in rather than stood on the street trying 3 different phone numbers to gain access to the hotel wasn’t a good experience. 2. There was no central heating, so in the morning the room was freezing cold? I could not see any radiators etc. this also wasn’t great. But overall the place looks lovely and it looks like it is very well maintained and very clean.. Thank you

On arrival the owner, Paul met us with a very warm and friendly greeting. We were advised of how the placed worked -getting through the secure doors etc, and shown to reception. Paul was very attentive and friendly, giving the impression that nothing was too much trouble. The areas that we saw were very nicely decorated - to a high standard, and the whole place was very clean. The room was a good size, again very clean and well maintained. Some lovely high ceilings and wooden beams with a lovely glass window feature to let the light in. The bed was really comfy and we had a great nights sleep.The en-suite was really nice and well presented. Plenty of tea and coffee / milk sugar etc with more on offer at reception if required. The outside noise was pretty quiet. Paul also recommended places to eat as well - 10 minutes down the road is the Lion restaurant (Sri Lankan / Japanese) food which was fantastic ). The people we met in Liverpool were so friendly - it was a real pleasure to visit. Would we go back to The Glebe - absolutely YES! - Thanks Paul (and team) - we give you 5 stars throughout , and thoroughly deserved.

Received the warmest of welcome from Paul We did early check at a cost of £20, standard with all hotels theses days Paul gave us some history & information on the property and the surrounding area Our room was lovely exactly as it was on the pictures We were in room 6 on the front of the building There was complementary water & the room & bathroom were immaculately clean If you are a light sleeper, you may need earplugs as even though the room has inner glazing, you can hear traffic and the pelican crossing, an eye mask may also be advisable as the stained glass window is lovely it does make the toom bright in the morning These are not negatives... just a heads up There is an honesty box for drinks & snacks An uber is about £7.00 to the docks We could walk to Ainfield in about 20mins for a concert we were going to I would highly recommend The Glebe Hotel

We had a great stay at The Glebe Hotel. It was nice and close to LFC stadium. Paul, the owner was so accommodating, friendly, informative and kind. We would definitely recommend this hotel if you’re going to Liverpool for a football game.

I had sent 2 emails advising we'd have a late check in- taking the train from London. We never got a response. The outside pics of the hotel are NOT accurate. The pub downstairs is not affiliated with the hotel, and the 'entrance' to the hotel is on a side street with bolted double barn doors. No one answered the phone # posted on the wall outside. We had to go into the pub and they let us into the 'courtyard' via a back door. The stairs up to the hotel are metal (think fire escape stairs), and we had 2 large pieces of luggage + backpacks. The gentleman from the hotel helped us with the luggage, but the stairs were dicey at best in the damp environment of Liverpool. The inside of the hotel is BEAUTIFUL! The room was wonderful and the front desk attendants were great. There was no check in process - just showed him my passport. Also, not told when check out was (assumed 11am), but a gruff cleaning man at 10am told us it was 10:30. Overall it was a nice room, but would not stay again.

Booked for my daughters who were watching a concert at Anfield. Such a great service, calls prior to the day and on the day saying they could complete an earlier check in if needed. Greeted my daughters and explained everything clearly, they said Mel was simply lovely! A great clean room with a short walk to Anfield Stadium.

Paul, the owner and host, went out of his way to meet us on arrival and allow us an early check-in due to the timing of our visit and the match we were seeing. The room was spotlessly clean with very comfortable beds and a great shower.

Very nice and lovely hotel snug in Bootle not too far from either stadium so that’s another location plus if you don’t mind that sort of location. Good sized rooms and modern. Most endearing thing about The Glebe is the management! Paul was amazing.

There are no lifts in this small 8 room hotel, so it can be a struggle to carry your bags to your room. There is also no restaurant in the hotel for breakfast or a meal. There are some takeaways in the vicinity. It is a 20 minute bus ride into the city.

We had a great stay as a family of four for a weekend for the Comic con convention in Liverpool. The hotel was lovely and the family sweet had separate sleeping are for parents. Rooms had everything we needed and were very confortable. Paul the host was very friendly and welcoming. Plenty of shops near by and within easy reach of bus and metro links to city centre. The building is beautiful and really worth a stay. The kids loved all of its quirky features. We had a great stay thank you.

There aren’t any facilities for eating, but restaurants and pubs that serve food are nearby. There are also takeaways and there’s no problem with bringing food back to your room. There’s also a pub below the hotel that doesn’t serve food. Paul, the owner, couldn’t have been more helpful. When we arrived, we were greeted by Paul, the owner, who was fantastic all throughout our stay. He's super kind and truly invested in the property and interested to get know everyone staying at the hotel. His welcoming demeaner is enough to get me to stay there again should I get back to Liverpool. We stayed in the Family Suite which was much larger than expected. The pictures don't even do the space justice. The room was huge and was one of our favorite places to stay during our Europe Trip. The only negative is there really isn't many places to eat at nearby, but Paul gave us great recommendations for us to get to where we wanted to go to and Uber was easy enough to get around. I'd definitely stay here again!

Paul is an excellent host. Just stayed 3 nights in the family room, I expected the bedroom to be on the balcony I saw on the pictures but to my surprise there was a complete bathroom and double bedroom also up there. The room is nothing short of spectacular. A stay in this hotel will not disappoint.

I travelled to Liverpool to attend a pre-season friendly at Anfield, and The Gleb was ideally located due to its fairly short distance from the stadium. The hotel itself was very picturesque from the outside and my room very well laid out, clean, comfy and modern, with a terrific ensuite bathroom—and Aircon! Paul—the owner—was a lovely chap who was very thorough on my arrival. The fact he was a fellow red gets him 5 stars alone! It was only a short stay, but I have bookmarked it for a future stay, and I can't recommend it enough... ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The rooms at the Glebe are absolutely lovely, very clean and well appointed. They have air conditioning, and the bathrooms are lovely and spacious. Absolutely fabulous hotel to stay in. Paul, the host was very genial and his forethought in what works for his guests is spot on. Safe and secure hotel, night porter on duty as well. Big mugs for your tea and coffee....it's a winner!
