More Ipanema Hostel

O melhor hostel que já me hospedei, muito próximo à praia de Ipanema e Leblon. Padaria próximo. Ótima estrutura e atendimento. Várias atividades para os hóspedes interagirem. Será minha nova casa no Rio. 10/10

False Advertise: Don't have a "restaurant" Meaning there is no breakfast. Underconstruction so it's pretty noisy during the day. Bars are pretty noisy during the night. Ear buds & Eyemasks are a must Bar is the only common place u have to work. There is No desk so u won't be able to use ur laptop properly (for long hours)

Atendimento incrivel, com certeza o melhor hostel do rio de janeiro, com várias atividades gratuitas, caipirinhas grátis, dj e muito mais. O evento do barco é maravilhoso, open bar vale muito a pena. É a segunda vez que fui a esse hostel e com certeza voltarei mais 1000 vezes . ❤️❤️❤️

Quero deixar claro que eu vou voltar para o hostel, mas acredito que tenham alguns pontos que valem ressaltar e que eu gostaria de ler, antes de tomar a decisão de fechar a reserva. Pontos positivos: O hostel tem uma ótima localização, próximo à praia, metrô e shopping, as dinâmicas de interação com os hóspedes são excelentes, haviam atividades 2 vezes ao dia, além do grupo no WhatsApp. então você sempre terá algo para fazer em grupo, o que é muito bom para quem vai sozinha (o), que foi o meu caso. Pontos negativos: Preço da estadia alto, diante do que foi entregue, tudo é cobrado a parte, café da manhã, toalha, cobertor, Fiquei em um quarto compartilhado, a limpeza deixou muito a desejar, o banheiro não foi limpo diariamente, só era feita a troca do lixo e secagem do chão, o chão do quarto não teve limpeza correta, encontramos baratas pequenas nos armários, (isso foi inclusive avisado na recepção). E o ponto que mais me pegou: o bar do hostel fica no subsolo, em um dos dias que eu estive lá, houve um evento, com som alto que se estendeu até a madrugada, se você ficar em quartos baixos, fica inviável dormir, lembro que o som foi desligado após a 1:00hrs e eu acredito que deva ser uma dinâmica legal, afinal é um local legal e Instagramavel, porém faltou tato com as pessoas que simplesmente queriam descansar, mas entendi que é a dinâmica do local.

The hostel appear on the website as new. It is not. They had renovation works going on at the peak of time (carnival), all day long. I paid for breakfast and was told it was not included, that I had to pay 20 Reais to then be told a few days later that breakfast was free during carnival (scam! I paid for it and was not reimbursed). The rooms are not comfortable. The doors are all wanky. If you want a towel or a blanket or a lock you have to pay. You have to make your bed at the start and remove your bedsheets at the end. I paid 100+ dollars per night for a bed in a 6-bed dorm and this level of service… shocking.

Hostel com excelente estrutura, ótima localização. Camas confortáveis, atendimento deixou a desejar no quesito da minha reserva que incluía café da manhã, mais precisei passar por alguns constrangimentos para resolver a situação (colaboradora queria terceirizar o problema para o hóspede, ao invés da mesma procurar uma solução). A gerente rapidamente resolveu toda situação, inclusive foi bastante solicita e simpática. Recomendo

Fun hostel to stay at while still being in a private room. Bed was extremely comfortable. Water in the shower was lukewarm at best most times. My only real complaint is that my room was on the 6th floor and the elevator only went up to floor 4 so I had to lug a 50lb bag up 2 flights of extremely narrow stairs with no assistance.

Gostei muito do Hostel, mas pelo valor acho que seria viável ser incluso o café da manhã, porque lá é pago a parte. Na data que fiquei o elevador estava reformando e tivemos que usar a escada mas nada que atrapalhou muito. Atendentes super simpáticos a gerente do lugar é super animada. Atendimento frio, quarto e andares sujos, vassouras e utensílios de limpeza espalhados pelos corredores, para os que se hospedam no quinto e sexto andares, o acesso é por uma escadinha bem estreita, parece o caminho de um porão! A diária encerra às 11h, algo pouco usual. Café da manhã completamente ruim, mesmo para um hostel. O único ponto positivo é a localização!

I didn't like was having to wait until to check in time & having to self check in & make the bed, which i don't mind doing but this is one of the more pricier hostels & i had gotten there at 7am, I thought, we'll at the very least they're cleaning the room/bathroom but they hadn't, it was kinda gross. Since they don't make the bed or were cleaning the room, you would think they would let me know as soon the bed was available or at the very least, check in time! but that wasn't the case. But besides that, it's a great social hostel with daily activities & great atmosphere.

O café da manhã custa R$ 29,90 (em 2025), só está incluso para hóspedes de quartos privativos e é bom o suficiente pelo preço. Porém, encontrei 3 problemas principais. Em primeiro lugar, a limpeza deixa muito a desejar. Vi um tufo de cabelo pelo chão durante os dois dias que estive lá e ninguém retirou. No banheiro, o tapete era trocado, mas não via uma limpeza muito adequada das outras partes, como o box, a pia, etc. Em segundo lugar, falta uma prateleira em cada cama individual para apoiar algumas coisas. Quem fica na cama de cima, tem que fazer um malabarismo para descer toda vez que quer pegar algum pertence pessoal no armário abaixo das camas. Por fim, o ar condicionado do meu quarto (102) não gelava adequadamente, precisava ter um vento mais forte (parecia que eles colocavam no mínimo toda noite). Enfim, de modo geral, recomendo a experiência para quem é desapegado e não liga tanto para o que falei. O hostel tem muitos turistas de outros países, então é bom para conhecer gente nova. Eu estava viajando solo, então achei que foi relativamente adequado para os meus propósitos.

The hostel was clean, with a great happy hour, and the breakfast was very good (though located down the street at their sister hostel). That being said, the photos of the rooms are misleading -- being a lot smaller than pictured. It should also be noted that the staff is not very experienced and didn't really know the area, having many recommendations for where to go, eat, etc. English is also not widely spoken amongst the staff which made it challenging to communicate at times. We encountered one very helpful staff member (thank you, Barbara!) but otherwise, we didn't find the staff very helpful. We even missed out on a tour we wanted to participate in because the staff took too long to provide our names to the operator and we lost our spot. There is also no good "hang out place" within the hostel and what is there, is not very warm and inviting. So, you'll be limited to hanging out inside your room or outside of the hostel for the most part. If you're simply looking for a bed to sleep in, in a good area of the city, it's a great option. If you're looking for a good standard hostel experience, I'd stay elsewhere.

There is no real management behind this place. Their pictures are renderings. Once you arrive you will find a construction site. They will walk in your room as many times as needed without your knowledge, if they perform construction work they will leave the dirt behind and that's how you will realize. They sap my entire bed on me. AC units are off early in the morning until late at night regardless of what price or room you paid for. Front desk staff is really friendly but they are as lost as you as far as finding missing keys, AC, water heater, etc. Location is not as great either.It is very noisy and there is no insulation between walls so you will hear everything inside and outside 24/7. Some of my stuff went missing, there was no room service ever even though they did not stop doing construction inside my room. You could pay me to stay there again and I will kindly reject it. Just get another place where there is a system of check and balances. This property is a free for all. The Argentinian lady managing this is a liar and a scammer.

Musique,malpropreté dans les toilettes et douche,shampoing et savon et serviette non fournie,pas de structure pour les casiers à bagage ,j’ai dû dormir avec les bagages dans le lit,très peu sécuritaire

The value for the money is not good. Photos make it look better than it is. Cleaning staff is very rude and bed space is small, if you are tall you will not feet.

Room smelled like mildew and mold was growing on the curtains and bathroom. I had my sun glasses stolen from a private room and they conveniently waited until my last day to review security camera footage only to say the cameras were broken. The staff were really nice but management was awful and the condition of the rooms is absolutely NOT worth staying at. I have stayed at several hostels and this one has been the worst by far.

Ok. It was a pretty loud hostel. Im glad i brought my white noise machine! Windows are open, so be prepared for LOTS of mosquitos.

Not a 5 star fancy hotel but a simple hostel like facilities- nothing fancy but it does provide a basic roof over your head in a friendly safe environment Very friendly and helpful staff.

Foi muito boa, mas recomendo ficar nos andares superiores pois a entrada é sempre movimentada eles tem dj e música na recepção, então como fiquei no 1 andar no quarto 12, ouvia tudo! Foram isso muito bom e ótima localização!

No me gustó el aseo de los baños es terrible. No me gustó poca amabilidad recepcion, sin incluir a Fernanda. No me gustó problemas con el agua. No me gustó ver como el dueño del hostel llamó a la policia para q se llevaran a un huesped solo por que le reclamó el mal servicio y la falta de agua. No volveria, lo unico bueno es la ubicacion, cerca a la playa, pero no volveria

This is one of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed in! There are free activities and drinks on everyday and it makes it very easy to make friends ❤️ it also feels very safe - this was important to me as a female solo traveller. The staff at the hotel were absolutely amazing!! Always happy to help and made sure that all the group outings were super fun. One staff in particular - Maya, she was so helpful and was so good at hosting the events, it was always a fun time! Would highly recommend to other solo travellers who are looking for a fun and friendly hostel. It’s also right near t ipanema beach. I will definitely come back here! 🩷

Quero expressar minha imensa satisfação com a hospedagem. Desde o momento da chegada até o último dia, fui recebido com extrema cordialidade por toda a equipe — funcionários atenciosos, profissionais e sempre prontos para ajudar com um sorriso no rosto. O ambiente é impecável: acolhedor, organizado e oferece uma sensação de conforto e tranquilidade que torna a estadia ainda mais especial. Também gostaria de destacar a harmonia entre os hóspedes, o clima amigável e respeitoso que se criou, tornando cada momento ainda mais agradável. Foi uma experiência maravilhosa e, sem dúvidas, voltarei e recomendarei com entusiasmo.

Excelente lugar para conocer gente y divertirse. Hay actividades organizadas por el hostal en las que puedes conocer la ciudad. El personal es bueno y atento, son bastantes amigables. Todas las noches hay caiphirinas gratis. Lo único que no me gustó es que se organizó un grupo para ir al partido de Brasil en el Maracaná y el transporte tuvo un costo muy alto y al final mi grupo de amigos y yo nos tuvimos que regresar en Uber porque las personas del hotel no tuvieron mucho control del grupo, hasta cierto punto se entiende por la cantidad de gente pero creo que es un punto a mejorar. Fuera de eso mi estancia fue excelente y sin duda volvería.

There is also no good "hang out place" within the hostel and what is there, is not very warm and inviting. So, you'll be limited to hanging out inside your room or outside of the hostel for the most part. If you're simply looking for a bed to sleep in, in a good area of the city, it's a great option. If you're looking for a good standard hostel experience, I'd stay elsewhere.

Hostel com excelente estrutura, ótima localização. Camas confortáveis, atendimento deixou a desejar no quesito da minha reserva que incluía café da manhã, mais precisei passar por alguns constrangimentos para resolver a situação (colaboradora queria terceirizar o problema para o hóspede, ao invés da mesma procurar uma solução). A gerente rapidamente resolveu toda situação, inclusive foi bastante solicita e simpática. Recomendo

Gostei muito do Hostel, mas pelo valor acho que seria viável ser incluso o café da manhã, porque lá é pago a parte. Na data que fiquei o elevador estava reformando e tivemos que usar a escada mas nada que atrapalhou muito. Atendentes super simpáticos a gerente do lugar é super animada. Gostei bastante só poderiam incluir o café da manhã mesmo
