The food at this hotel is amazing.. Really nice rooms, friendly staff, comfortable bed and nothing is too much trouble...stayed for 2 nights and would happily go back again if in the area. Trivial matter that i didnt understand, a £10 parking fee??

We had a really lovely stay! The host was incredibly generous and gave us a complimentary upgrade. The room was gorgeous, fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. The bar was great as was the pub next door. We will definitely be returning!

Really excellent hotel, very close to Anne Hathaway house. Two restaurants, one serving incredible Indian food. The best hotel on our trip. If you plan to visit Stratford, highly recommend this hotel.

The staff are so welcoming and the hotel is lovely. Our room was beautifully decorated and the bed was so comfortable, great night sleep. We also had a bit to eat in the bar area, the food was lovely also. Will definitely go back again🤗

Hotel clean tidy and quiet. We had a pre booked breakfast which was good. Only down side was the £5 charge for parking. There is nothing around to justify the charge looks better if they just add it to the booking cost.

I had a lovely experience during my stay. The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and everything was clean. The staff were absolutely amazing—friendly, helpful, and always attentive. The food was also very good and exceeded expectations.

Lovely hotel with very attentive, friendly staff. Spotlessly clean throughout. Very comfortable bed, quiet area so had a great nights sleep. Had dinner and breakfast, both were very good. Would definitely stay there again.

Check in was poor. It felt cold and impersonal. To summarise, it could be shortened to "fill this card in, pay here, your room is that way". No record of breakfast forming part of our stay, so later checked with Expedia and they confirmed it was. Subsequently rechecked with hotel and told no. It wasn't until the following morning that someone else checked, asked if we had booked with Expedia, and told us that the two systems didn't pass all details on correctly (a known fault). Which begs the question, why don't staff know this when they are checking you in? Room clean, tidy and comfortable. Hotel clean and tidy too.

The place was spotless. Beds comfortable. High quality bed linen. However the rooms are not soundproofed - at all. We could hear the couple next door chatting on the phone and things. This would NOT be a hotel for a romantic break away which is a shame as it is a lovely hotel. Couple of other niggles - the aircon didn’t work. This was one of the reasons we had chosen this hotel due to weather forecast being warm. Also if anyone is not taking toiletries expecting L’occitane, they have changed the range being used.

High standard of cleanliness throughout. Quiet environment. Staff member who handled our check in was very courteous and helpful. Teamaking facilities housed in the wardrobe not practical. Had to move clothes out of the way to boil kettle. Only 1 chair in our double room, so had to stand up to drink tea or sit on bed. Breakfast room housed in a different building not ideal, had it been raining. No staff on arrival to greet or direct us. Table top too sticky had to move to a different table. Breakfast included in the price (we chose English) very poor: 1 very small and thin slice of bacon, small sausage 1 egg, 1 thin slice of black pudding, beans and 1 hash brown, half tomato. Toast included was ok there was orange juice and choice of another juice. Long wait approx. 20 minutes for cooked breakfast. Asked for cafetiere coffee and warm milk . Warm milk didn't arrive, and coffee very weak, and not very hot. Cereals, yogurts, fruit ,pastries would incur extra cost. We would not choose to stay in this hotel again.

All staff were very friendly and attentive. Beautifully decorated room and comfortable bed. The hotel was immaculate and clean. We would recommend the Burnside for its quiet location within close proximity to Stratford-upon-Avon.

Had an extremely comfortable stay. Rooms are big and airy - we stayed in a King suite. Staff were friendly and very accommodating - our room was on the road side of the hotel and we could hear the traffic, however, on request we were moved to a really quiet room on the other side of the hotel. Continental breakfast was delicious and service was excellent. Hôtel is in a beautiful village and is in easy walking distance into Stratford- about 20 min walk. We would definitely stay again.

We were supposed to stay in the cottage as a group of friends but 2 days before our trip we were asked to move to 3 double bedrooms. We asked for the family suite instead so we would have a big communal space and this was a huge, gorgeous room! Would be very expensive for a family for one night but divided by 4 friends it was fine. We were disappointed not to stay in the cottage but the staff and hotel were lovely. The only downside of the room was the temperature, it was absolutely boiling even though we turned it right down and opened all the windows. Perhaps the heating need not have been on at all. The toilet roll holder also fell off the wall. Otherwise all was very high quality. We enjoyed the complementary breakfast but if paying the breakfast would have been very expensive and was small portions. Poached egg was not runny and orange juice not fresh. Beautiful hotel, good location near lovely stratford but traffic noise when windows open.

We stayed in five different hotels on our tour across England, and this room was by far the favorite of the entire family. We stayed in the family suite, which was just incredible. It’s literally larger than most apartments I have been in. The beds are comfortable, the location was fabulous, and I’ve already recommended to several people I know coming into the area. We will definitely return!

Lovely hotel with very attentive, friendly staff. Spotlessly clean throughout. Very comfortable bed, quiet area so had a great nights sleep. Had dinner and breakfast, both were very good. Would definitely stay there again.

Check in was poor. It felt cold and impersonal. To summarise, it could be shortened to "fill this card in, pay here, your room is that way". No record of breakfast forming part of our stay, so later checked with Expedia and they confirmed it was. Subsequently rechecked with hotel and told no. It wasn't until the following morning that someone else checked, asked if we had booked with Expedia, and told us that the two systems didn't pass all details on correctly (a known fault). Which begs the question, why don't staff know this when they are checking you in? Room clean, tidy and comfortable. Hotel clean and tidy too.

We had a really lovely stay! The host was incredibly generous and gave us a complimentary upgrade. The room was gorgeous, fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. The bar was great as was the pub next door. We will definitely be returning!

The hotel was elegant and in superb condition . Classy and quirky is another description along with well run and polite staff. My only critique is the check in 4pm Check out 10am , this is not standard times for hotels and does not allow the visitor to enjoy the hotel enough, Suggest 3pm check and 11am check out in line with standard times for most hotels. overall though an excellent hotel.

High standard of cleanliness throughout. Quiet environment. Staff member who handled our check in was very courteous and helpful. Teamaking facilities housed in the wardrobe not practical. Had to move clothes out of the way to boil kettle. Only 1 chair in our double room, so had to stand up to drink tea or sit on bed. Breakfast room housed in a different building not ideal, had it been raining. No staff on arrival to greet or direct us. Table top too sticky had to move to a different table. Breakfast included in the price (we chose English) very poor: 1 very small and thin slice of bacon, small sausage 1 egg, 1 thin slice of black pudding, beans and 1 hash brown, half tomato. Toast included was ok there was orange juice and choice of another juice. Long wait approx. 20 minutes for cooked breakfast. Asked for cafetiere coffee and warm milk . Warm milk didn't arrive, and coffee very weak, and not very hot. Cereals, yogurts, fruit ,pastries would incur extra cost. We would not choose to stay in this hotel again.

Stayed one night as a wedding anniversary treat. The hotel was beautiful and the staff so friendly. Only mentioned in passing about our anniversary at check in and when we got back to the room later that evening there was some sweet treats for us, so kind.

Had an extremely comfortable stay. Rooms are big and airy - we stayed in a King suite. Staff were friendly and very accommodating - our room was on the road side of the hotel and we could hear the traffic, however, on request we were moved to a really quiet room on the other side of the hotel. Continental breakfast was delicious and service was excellent. Hôtel is in a beautiful village and is in easy walking distance into Stratford- about 20 min walk. We would definitely stay again.

This location was perfect for seeing the town and just a beautiful and comfy stay. We absolutely loved dining in the restaurant for breakfast and it was upscale. The room and bathroom were straight out of a magazine and I highly recommend someone to stay here.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at this beautiful hotel just outside the town of Stratford upon Avon. The hotel is beautifully furnished and room had all you would expect from 5*. All of the staff were friendly and attentive to our requests. We enjoyed our evening meal and the full English breakfast. Would recommend and would stay again should we visit this part of the country.

A nice property in a good location. Not much to fault really - the room was nice and the whole hotel had a pleasant feel to it. The only criticism is that the breakfast was pretty pricey for what was incredibly average food.

The staff are so welcoming and the hotel is lovely. Our room was beautifully decorated and the bed was so comfortable, great night sleep. We also had a bit to eat in the bar area, the food was lovely also. Will definitely go back again🤗

Our stay was lovely, although it has been marred somewhat by the lack of communication we have received regarding the return of our deposit. Several messages and phone calls have been met with radio silence. At £75 it isn’t a small amount of money, and to have it withheld without any communication has been frustrating to say the least. I would advise anyone staying here to be comfortable with losing their deposit because at this present moment it seems as though the hotel is hoping we’ll just forget about it eventually.
