Residence Inn by Marriott Missoula Downtown

Very nice place to stay. Very clean. Only 1 dislike. Valet parking is $27. On weekends and holidays, parking garage is free. Same place the valet’s park your car.

Hotel was clean and had a great ambiance. The hotel breakfast was good. Did not like that the only real parking option was to valet at $27 per day. Also, we asked for water at the front desk and were asked to purchase it. The next day, we asked again and that desk worker gave it to us for free, making us wonder why we spent money on water if it was free.

The staff were super friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean, spacious and quiet. The pool was well maintained and easily accessible.

In the heart of downtown, walkable to many good restaurants. Clean modern hotel, unfortunately the hot water was out when we arrived. I had tried to negotiate cancelling my stay due to a change of plans due to medical reasons but they were not very accommodating. I knew it was non refundable but dang. So no flexibility there. Everything else was fine.

Great location, staff, rooms.Only improvement would be to add a hot tub to the pool area.

Very nice happy hour in the lobby and nice restaurants accessed from the lobby. Great experience when it is freezing outside.

We didn't have hot water for our 2 day stay so showers were less then pleasant. Desk person said our room was in a quiet area. Well having to walk a full block inside the hotel to get to our room it turns out we are right on the corner of Higgins and Front and on the 2nd floor so far from a quiet spot. This was our 3rd and probably final stay here. It's a premium price for an average stay. However the breakfast eggs were good.

Front lobby was really loud at check in because they have a bar 10 feet from the front desk. It was hard to hear the FD worker tell me about the amenities. Also, i happen to stay the week they were testing the fire alarms which was pretty obnoxious. I called FD asking for an extra blanket on my second night and it never arrived. The room itself was great, though.

I do not know because we arrived to check in and were given the option to cancel our stay due to the hotel. not having hot water. We were told that there would no be no hot water until Friday and we arrived on a Monday. The desk person assured us that we had the money put back on our card and here it is a month later and I have still not received any credit back and have contacted Hotels.com regarding this. I was really sad that we could not stay there as it looked like such a great place to say. I had actually wanted to try and book another trip there. With the hassle of getting a refund and now the hotel telling Hotels.com that they show no records of this "no hot water incident" I am not happy. Nonetheless our stay was also planned cause it is close to the hospital where my husband had a heart procedure done and we would be needing to stay close to the hospital for a few days after so that made this hotel even better. Here we are going for another procedure and I had hopes of having this resolved so we could stay there but I am still waiting for over $600. to be credited back to my account. Not cool! Not very good service. I would have even been willing to get a credit to come and stay for the 3 days but I have not even received that. We had to pay for our car to be parked, get our car back and put the luggage back in the car just because we did not get an email regarding this "no hot water" incident that happened the day we arrived. Now no credit back

We did not have a good stay. It's one of the dirtiest rooms I've stayed in. It was clear that the room only received a quick surface clean. We saw numerous food/coffee/ ?? stains on the sofa and walls. For $250/night this was very disappointing. When I told the front desk about the dirty room, they didn't seem to care. We weren't offered any consolation. Also, the traffic noise from Higgins Ave. kept us up at night, so not only a dirty room but we didn't even get a good sleep. The only reason to stay here is for the downtown restaurants/shops but honestly, you're better off at the Holiday Inn just a block away - still downtown, much cheaper, cleaner, and they have free parking.

Really friendly service, great breakfast. Wish the shower was cleaner and wish for higher water pressure, otherwise great place to stay, would stay again.

This property was beautiful!! It was clean, felt safe and had bed's that were amazingly comfortable.

One day they had tortillas but they didn’t have a warmer for the tortillas, so you ate cold raw tortillas?!?! Another day they had no coffee. Our last day, we went to a cafe for breakfast. Just very sad. They then had an evacuation, we couldn’t get into the hotel. They never apologized or explained what was going on. For the money, just not worth it.

It was relaxing, comfortable and clean. I do wish the bathroom lighting was better for putting my makeup on.

The room was really nice size. Water went all over the floor while taking a shower. Our view was of the alley and dumpsters. The trash trucks emptied the dumpsters at 7:00 am on Monday and woke us up. The “happy hour” at the bar charged us $20 for two basic drinks because the manager who checked us in and told us that it was happy hour didn’t know that there is no happy hour on Saturday. We paid $27 per day for parking and then found out that there is free parking in the local garages on the weekends. We will stay somewhere else next time we are in Missoula.

Great room

Nice hotel,walkable but outside our room extremly noisy. You could hear cars racing down all of the streets.

We had a staycation for my husbands birthday. Received an upgraded room that was very comfortable with a great view of the downtown.

Super comfortable, lots of space, and full kitchen.

It was relaxing, comfortable and clean. I do wish the bathroom lighting was better for putting my makeup on.

Our room was super quiet which we loved. The room was cleverly designed with kitchette, a small living room with table and a desk nearby. Bed across the room with TV on a swivel to turn towards living space or bed. I loved the makeup counter space. The best hotel room design I have seen. Felt more like a home than a hotel room. The room was cleaned and stocked with fresh towels. The best was how quiet the room was. My only complaint was the firmness of the mattress, a little too firm for my liking. Overall, I would absolutely recommend this hotel to others. Great experience!

Wi-Fi was terrible and none of the chargers worked in room. No airport shuttle service. Restaurant in hotel didn’t offer to go service as I didn’t want to eat out after long travel day. Overall nice hotel but I didn’t have a good experience even for my very short stay.

Might be the best place to stay in all of downtown Missoula as it's right in the center and once you park, you can walk to everything. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable of the area and all the restaurants. We will stay here again!

However a couple of things I noted this time around: - staff were not very attentive/helpful this time. Seemed to not care much about guests’ satisfaction, check in and check out were very perfunctory experiences, not very friendly. - breakfast items started running out in the last half hour of service. Ran out of sausage gravy, ran out of waffle mix, ran out of some types of toast, ran out of coffee! More effort would be nice in making sure guests get the breakfast that they’re promised.

Horrible customer service. After booking this and showing up, there was no room available. We were subsequently given a room at the hotel next door (another Marriott) which was dirty with heir on the bedding - bad service all around

Being downtown was great but because I was new to the town, I needed to know where to walk the dog. When I asked, staff wasn’t specific and didn’t share knowledge that would have been helpful. I finally discovered the park by the river which was perfect. Parking was a bit confusing at first, but understood it later.

Excellent hotel in a very cute area of Missoula

What a gorgeous room we had! We could have stayed there much longer. The girl (in training) who checked us in was very nice as was the man training her. We were concerned about parking and he shared a great parking spot nearby that was free and convenient. We had everything we needed and could easily walk to numerous restaurants and shops. The only negative was the drag racing which took place on the street below our room around 9:30 pm. Luckily it did not go in too long.

Right downtown

Clean new hotel that is relatively quiet although my spouse noticed the street noise when we slept. I kept getting woke up by the heater 3 beeps before it would kick on. Great brunch. Upscale atmosphere.

This is a really nice Residence Inn and has little decor touches that remind you you’re in Montana. There are shops and restaurants in the hotel - The Camino is excellent Mexican food. There’s a great market across the street (I believe it was Feotn Street Market), they have awesome made to order sandwiches and great coffee. And, this is a very walkable area, so you don’t need a car if you’re just planning to stay around town. I will definitely stay here again.

Parking can be a problem and really a bit overpriced for what they offer. Did I have a memorable breakfast there? I can't remember so no.

Loved this Marriott! Great location, excellent dining and shopping options all around the area! We felt safe walking around day and night! The room was nice and spacious, very clean, comfortable beds! Will definitely stay here again if we travel to Missoula! The Steakhouse restaurant, 1889, was wonderful, we ate there twice! Great food and service!!

We love this hotel by far when we go to Missoula. It’s centrally located and has the best complimentary breakfast.
