Great space and atmoshere. Room was large and area very convenient. Old town area so had some sewage smell from the drain which was not pleasant in our room. Went to complete laundry but the washer was smelly and needed to be cleaned. We ran a clean cycle and advised the 3rd party app but they would not refund the invoice of $3 even though we disclosed the issue. Free tea was nice touch. Would stay again.

The property was very clean, convenient, and in a great location in Lucerne. The laundry room should be updated as the dryers take more than 4 hours to dry each load, delaying us heavily on our departure as we had to wait for others to finish up.

We had some difficulties with self checkin & get the room key. After calling the receptionist, we sorted out. Also it would be useful to let people know that the lift is at side entrance side. That will save people to take their heavy cases to first floor from the main entrance. Other than that, all went well

Incredible experience! Big room for family of 4 with kitchenette. Didn’t have trouble at all with the electronic part of self check in, the laundry room was awesome and easy to use as well. Location 10/10 will definitely recommend

Great location. Property is well maintained. Could use more washers and driers. Also, the driers take twice as long as your at home driers, so plan for a few extra HOURS if you use them.

The location is excellent, however the property can be maintained better. Our room was so dusty, we had to wash all utensils before using them. The towel warmer didn't work and the AC barely cooled the room, we slept with windows open. This is a hostel and that's how it is set up.

We had a great four night stay at the Lubo! The room was clean and very well maintained and we had a gorgeous view of the town and the mountains in the distance. The free laundry facilities and coffee and tea were excellent! There are many shops and restaurants near by and walking around was perfect! We would absolutely recommend the Lubo to anyone and would stay again!

Clean modern rooms in a great area in old town. Everything worked well. We loved the layout, almost felt designed by escher with the up and down hallways. Bed was huge and comfortable, kitchenette and bathroom/shower worked great. We're glad we stayed at the LUBO.

Located in the very center of the old town pretty much every part of the city is in walking distance. The hotel is nice and the rooms are ok. Not too fancy, the furniture has had a few spots and scratches but in general the room was clean. Over all I would say it’s just too expensive. Something one could say about the whole city

The digital Check in was easier than expected Rooms were good, bathroom was very small but not a deal breaker. Location was phenomenal! Easy walking distance to nearly all sights. 10 minutes to walk to anywhere! One minute to get to the Coop where you can purchase food, drinks whatever you might need.

Website was down and we got locked out of our room. The rooms are noisy, you can hear everyone leaving and entering the hotel. The pillows and air conditioning leave a lot to be desired.

The room we had was nothing like the picture that we had reserved. It was a lot smaller than the original picture. They also had a policy that you cannot check in to until 1500 hrs. even if you are early and the room is available. There was an elevator available to be used but no sighs indicating as to where it was, thus we had to carry our luggage up and down several chairs. The elevator was found by accident on the ground floor and it would have been very helpful at the time of check in. The kitchen was on not really suitable for use. With only two medium sized plates, bowls and two sets of kfs. There were 2 coffee cups but there was no kettle to make coffee or a toaster. Eventually we did get a kettle and toaster though. Since there were only two hot plates there was a frying pan and large pot. Don't how the hotel staff thought how we could actually use the kitchen but we did. There also was not microwave. When you are out touring the area every day, it would have been nice to be able to make something quick for dinner. The hotel was clean and the cleaning staff were helpful. The best part about the hotel was its location to the transportation hub which was on 9 minutes away. It was conveniently located for touring the city.

I recently stayed at this hotel and there were definitely some strong positives. The location was fantastic, making it super convenient to get around. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and there was a really nice café on the bottom floor that added a great touch to the overall experience. The only downside was the room size. The rooms were very, very small, to the point where there wasn’t really anywhere to put luggage comfortably. So while it's a great spot with wonderful staff, just be aware that the space is a bit tight.

We had a room with a kitchenette which was great in concept but sparsely equipped, for example there was no way to boil water except in a large pot from which it was dangerous to pour boiling water; there was no dishwashing liquid or drying cloth provided. Separate shower and toilet rooms were painted black and dark green with very poor lighting so were claustrophobic and depressing. We had no hot water for the first 12 hours, which turned out to be a hotel-wide issue, and on several occasions the main hotel door would not unlock with the key cards, yet we had no communications from the hotel about these issues. The hotel website and internal notices said that the WeWash app was required to use the laundry facilities but this wasn’t the case.

The Lubo is located in a very happening part of town. Charming squares, tons of restaurants and bars were footsteps away. The famous wooden bridge was a short walk and so was the promenade along the river. Lucerne main station is walkable, but be aware of the cobbled streets which make dragging trolley bags and strollers with small wheels difficult. Room was compact and fun with a queen size bed and two top bunks. Only complaint is that the AC was not very effective. We set it at 19 degrees C but the room wasn’t cooling at all which meant we were sweating all night. However we found that this is pretty common across Switzerland and we have been told across Europe. Definitely recommend staying here, we found it more cost efficient than other hotels in the area. The breakfast in the hotel cafe was yummy. Make sure you cross check the reservation number before you reach. The two numbers Expedia provided did not work so we had to call and get the right number.

The room is very small. We had a 4 bed room. 2 of them are fine. The 2 other ones are very small and not very comfortable for other than small children. Great area. Walkable, lots of food option. Check-in was challenging and I had to call since the reservation number I had was not recognized.

Room was not well equipped- kitchenette had minimal equipment. Couldn’t make coffee unless you bought instant coffee and heated water in a pan- no microwave, few silverware. Staff was not responsive as there is no front desk. Location is very convenient. Cooling system made a vibrating noise.

Avoid like the plague! Check in was a disaster. Kiosk not working at all. Try to call for help - gives zero direction, other than to “wait while we try and reset it remotely” as 4 parties all waiting in a tiny walk in spot. Everything was overly digital - everything on phone - but oh when their wi-if kept crashing phone was worthless! Their “convenience” bar machine for snacks, water etc etc - worked one time in 3 days. Called them - oh we will look at it, and never worked the next two days. Zero follow up from them Washers - HORRIBLE leave your clothes sopping wet and basically could not dry them in 4 hours of trying before we had to get on a plane with wet clothes. All great to think you can rely on technology - but try having service and a reliable person to come help. Bathroom sinks had no mirror - you had to turn sideways to see the wall mirror on your left to try and shave or wash - with lighting not placed in the room to see yourself. Avoid like the plague! Check in was a disaster. Kiosk not working at all. Try to call for help - gives zero direction, other than to “wait while we try and reset it remotely” as 4 parties all waiting in a tiny walk in spot. Everything was overly digital - everything on phone - but oh when their wi-if kept crashing phone was worthless! Their “convenience” bar machine for snacks, water etc etc - worked one time in 3 days. Called them - oh we will look at it, and never worked the next two days. Zero follow up from them Washers - HORRIBLE leave your clothes sopping wet and basically could not dry them in 4 hours of trying before we had to get on a plane with wet clothes. All great to think you can rely on technology - but try having service and a reliable person to come help. Bathroom sinks had no mirror - you had to turn sideways to see the wall mirror on your left to try and shave or wash - with lighting not placed in the room to see yourself. Excellent location close to train station and in middle of old town area. Check in very confusing. Needed a reservation number that was never sent (perhaps because I had selected to pay at property?). Had to call and whoever answered was very helpful. Laundry was busy but very new machines and worked well. Would stay again.

Extremely difficult self check in, they never sent the email, I contacted The property several times…attempted to do the kiosk and it was not working so we had to call the hotel. After over 30 min we were finally in our room and then everything was ok. It’s just not what you want after a long travel day.

Ok- they overbooked there hotel, which I was not happy with but they made me reservations with a different hotel. I was thankful for this until I got to the hotel the rebooked me into. It was nowhere equivalent to their hotel, therefore I asked for the difference between the rates of the rooms be reimbursed to me. After 3 weeks, I have never received a response. I was not asking for a full refund, just the difference.

One level up from a hostel. Did not get check in email until requested. No cards to register at from door/lobby (person on staff had ONE job) leaving us and multiple other guests unable to access our rooms. Phone lock never worked. Location was great right in the middle of town and less than a 15 min walk to train station. Room was as promised.

Had a positive experience with the self-check-in process, which was smooth and convenient. The staff along with Expedia customer service went above and beyond by assisting me with a booking mistake I made over email communication, which I greatly appreciated. They charge extra 50 per person for the kids to stay in family room that has a sofa bed which didn’t make much sense. The location is unbeatable, and I would definitely choose to stay here again.

Overpriced for what you are getting. Given a room on the 6th floor but elevator only goes up to 5. Parking is a 10 minute walk away. So lots of inconvenience with carrying our luggage. No front desk so needed frequent calls to help with checking in and other issues and the digital keys were not working.

The Lubo ligt gunstig ten opzichte van het station en is gemakkelijk te vinden. Inchecken gat prima. Het is wel een beetje een doolhof met een trappetje op en dan weer af; ook al neem je de lift. Plezierig is het Rokka café, een goede plek voor een ontbijt of voor een drankje later op de dag. Ruime en redelijk comfortabele kamer. Snap alleen niet waarom de lamp in de keuken alleen uitgaat als je alle lampen uitdoet; dus ook je bedlamp. Hiervoor moet je dan wel je bed uit; onhandig. Voorzieningen – winkels en horeca – te kust en te keur in de directe omgeving van de Lubo. Let op: twee uitgangen.

The Lubo was near the Chapel Bridge and <10 min walk from the station, however if you are travelling with luggage you many need to carry up and down the flight of stairs near the Chapel Bridge if you don't want to take a detour. You are right in the old town surrounded by main attractions and shops yet the hotel is tucked away in a quiet area. Check-in/out process is all digitised via the phone with key passes to the building directly accessible via the phone. The digital key pass to our room did not work so we obtained physical passes from the tablet at the main entrance. Lift access is available at the side alley which is needed for luggages, albeit a bit tiny. The room was modern, however tiny which every space utilised. Facilities is lacking with no bar fridge or in room kettle but our room had 4 safes...The bathroom is small, in particular the shower and the shower screen does not completely close. Overall a good stay for 1 or 2 nights if you only need a place to sleep.

Located in the center of the Lucern city hub. Very convenient amd close to the bus stop and the Lucern Train Station. The room was clean and the kitchen has all the amenities except a microwave oven. The luggage locker is very useful for us. But it would be better if there is a lock on the door which can be opened by the residents only.

Das Hotel ist super zentral gelegen mitten in der Altstadt. Man kann zu Fuss zum Bahnhof, zur Kappelbrücke und auch zum See. Unser Zimmer war sehr geräumig mit kleiner Kochzeile. Das Badezimmer bot eine grosse Duschkabine. Alles ist sehr sauber, modern und von guter Qualität. Es hat eine Klimaanlage und auch eine Heizung! Leider hat der Lärmpegel den tollen Eindruck vom Hotel etwas getrübt. Samstagnacht war es teilweise sehr laut vom Partyvolk. Ab ca. 8Uhr am Morgen begann dann das Reinigungspersonal ununterbrochen lautstark zu reden. Die Zimmertüren lassen alles durch und wir hatten das Gefühl die Personen würden bei uns im Zimmer stehen. Etwas schade fanden wir auch, dass das Doppelbett aus zwei einzelnen Betten bestand die sich sehr leicht auseinander schoben. Alles in allem überwiegen aber die positiven Eindrücke.

Great location! Only a 10 to 15-minute walk from the train station. Right in the heart of the old city (which is where you want to be to see all the sights), We were able to wake up and have coffee and breakfast in the little cafe right downstairs and then walk everywhere. The bridge, lion, and wall are all very close. This is a modern hotel and you will need to check yourself in which isn't too difficult but just be prepared. Low chance of an early check-in with this system. They had free laundry facilities, luggage storage, and the place was very nice. I would stay here again for sure.

The famous wooden bridge was a short walk and so was the promenade along the river. Lucerne main station is walkable, but be aware of the cobbled streets which make dragging trolley bags and strollers with small wheels difficult. Room was compact and fun with a queen size bed and two top bunks. Only complaint is that the AC was not very effective. We set it at 19 degrees C but the room wasn’t cooling at all which meant we were sweating all night. However we found that this is pretty common across Switzerland and we have been told across Europe. Definitely recommend staying here, we found it more cost efficient than other hotels in the area. Located in the very center of the old town pretty much every part of the city is in walking distance. The hotel is nice and the rooms are ok. Not too fancy, the furniture has had a few spots and scratches but in general the room was clean. Over all I would say it’s just too expensive. Something one could say about the whole city

We loved our stay that the Lubo! It’s in a great location and very convenient for shopping and food! The cafe below was also amazing. Even though the Lubo is a self check in, it was very easy to get in contact with staff and get any problems sorted. We stayed in the double room and it was very spacious and came with anything you would need for an easy stay. It was very clean and the property is newly renovated and looks great. Would recommend and will be staying if we come back!

We stayed in a room with kitchenette which was perfect for our needs as a family of four. Great to be in the heart of the Old Town in Luzern. Hostel provided many shared amenities like laundry and coffee area which was a great help.

Great location. Clean. Free espresso 24/7 in the “laundry room” where you can use washers and dryers for a fee. You can store your luggage if you arrive before check in. Elevator and AC, comfortable bed and room with kitchenette was a reasonable size. Not fancy, but would definitely stay here again.

This was a great old property, in a great location in the city. However there was a noise coming from the AC that made a noise that interfered with our sleep. Also we got in late at night and had just made a reservation and had trouble with check in. This was frustrating at the end of a long day of travel.

Really nice boutique hotel in the heart of Old Luzern. Bed was very comfortable. Lots of twists and turns to get to our room. Elevator goes to 5th floor - we were on the 6th but it wasn't bad. Great central location.

The Lubo is a quick bus ride or walk from the train station. It's not hard to find and the staff at the bar/Cafe downstairs are very helpful. Check in is easy on the phone or the kiosk. The most difficult part is the stairs in the hotel and finding the room. There are a few stairs to get into the hotel and on every floor. Make sure you are not travelling with a million suitcases. I would go scout out your room first. Otherwise, for the price and location, the hotel is great. There's a mini kitchenette that we didn't use and close to everything.

The most difficult part is the stairs in the hotel and finding the room. There are a few stairs to get into the hotel and on every floor. Make sure you are not travelling with a million suitcases. I would go scout out your room first. Otherwise, for the price and location, the hotel is great. There's a mini kitchenette that we didn't use and close to everything.
