Unfortunately, I have mobility issues and there was nothing in the hotel description that said you had to climb a flight of 16 stairs to get up to your room. The beds were very soft compared to what I am used to and I did not find them comfortable. It was a cute little spot, but I wouldn’t have booked it had I known about the stair climb.

Wonderful location in the scenic small western town of Silverton. Only stayed one night but the grandsons wished we had an extra day. Only ripple was my wife just had recent knee surgery and she found the long stairway to the room a bit of a challenge. But she did it. Communications with Nick were easy and he was very responsive to any questions we had. The front balcony overlooking town was an unexpected bonus. We visited the One Hundred Gild Mine tour just outside town and would recommend it.

Bent Elbow is a nice option for Silverton. The room is cute, but quarters are tight as it's only as wide as the bed and 2 nightstands. There is no elevator, which was fine for me, but could be a challenge for anyone that requires assistance or traveling with large luggage. Lastly, it's located above a restaurant and bar and it will be loud from the afternoon through closing, which is reasonably early for a bar.

The hotel was ok. No amenities. No lobby or front desk, as it's always closed. Room was clean but very small, which was ok for one night, but probably wouldn't work for much longer. The main issue is the only way to get to your room is by waking up a very long steep flight of stairs. This is ok for me, but not so much for my 78 year old mom. Had I known this was the situation then we probably would have looked for a didn't different hotel.

We were in one of the 2 rooms with a balcony. Very nice to be able to sit out and watch the people and take in the views. Note: there is no front desk I was sent a code to my room door. And the steps up to the rooms is steep.

Very nice comfortable rooms and a great price. Be aware - There is a very long and steep set of stairs you must climb to get to the rooms though. Excellent contact with the manager about getting room code. Restaurant on bottom floor and multiple restaurant options on the Main St one block over. Will definitely stay there again if we travel that direction.

I never leave bad reviews but this time it’s necessary. The white towels look stained like they haven’t been washed or changed out in years. The entire hotel has carpet and unpleasant odor. I didn’t feel safe due to the town had no law enforcement presence only two streets lights for the town. I recommend just to drive to Durango instead it’s only an hour away.

No parking lot for the cars/ no customer service to give you welcome. Any contact with someone on our arrive. The room apparently was clean but not vacuum enough. My wife is very alérgic to dust she could not sleep well. Not enough towels for a couple. Not recommend this place to anyone.

We had a very clean, updated, cute room with a microwave, small refrigerator, large size shampoo, conditioner, and soap. There were extra blankets and a fan and extra free-standing heater. The shower had the very best water pressure we’ve ever experienced! It was very quiet and just what we needed for our visit in Silverton!

My first night at the hotel was quite pleasant. The hallway and the room had a light, pleasant perfume scent, and the room itself was clean. However, starting from early the next morning, a strong sewage odor filled not just my room but the entire hallway. The smell started around 6 a.m. and persisted until I checked out at 11 a.m. This odor didn’t come from the bathroom in my room—it was clearly present throughout the corridor, affecting multiple rooms. I believe both guests and housekeeping staff must have noticed it, but unfortunately, nothing was done to resolve the issue, and the smell never went away or even improved. Because of the unbearable stench, I was woken up and couldn’t get back to sleep. I don’t know if this is a recurring issue or just a one-time problem, as I only stayed for one night. Still, the experience significantly impacted our rest and left both me and my companion feeling unwell and exhausted, which affected our plans for hiking that day.

View from room #2 was lovely, check in was so easy, owner offered ease of communication, bed very cozy. Room did need a little more attention to cleanliness. Nightstands were sticky, corner in shower had gunk. Having said that- we will return.

Keurig with good coffee cups and creamer in the room. Parking right there. Best restaurant in town is also right below. Will stay here again

The Bent Elbow was an interesting stay. The room (or possibly the entire hotel) was at a tilt. Laying in bed felt like you were laying on a hill at an angle. There was even a tilt in the mattress from having been laid in and having most of the weight distributed to the one side. The hotel was cute and quaint

Room was clean and updated. The walls are very thin and you can hear everything going on next door such as talking and using the bathroom. There was no way to control the heat and no extra blanket so got very cold during the night.

The location of this hotel was convenient. The room was clean. I got almost no sleep because I could hear the bass from the restaurant below until midnight and any move the person in the room next to me made was also loud and kept me awake. I would not recommend this hotel if you need a good night’s sleep.

The room was ok. There was no front desk or ability to talk to anyone. We had a change in plans and I reached out through hotels messaging to cancel the 2nd night. The owner responded the next day that the room could be listed and if rented I would be refunded. I responded immediately to confirm. I never received another message. I did see the room relisted on hotels.com and later not available so I assume it was rented to someone else. I have sent multiple follow up emails, but have not received a response or refund. This hotel took advantage of situation and has refused to respond. I do not feel their business practices are trustworthy. I would not recommend.

We loved Silverton! This little hotel was sweet and the decor was totally updated. Comfortable bed. We had an issue with the occupants in the next room who were loud until late. I addressed it with the manager the next morning and he handled it well.

Great location, very close to the train station. Small rooms and a bit slanted, but exactly what you'd expect from an old mining town. Received texts from the host to ensure a smooth check-in and the cleaning lady was very sweet and helpful.

Room was very hot. I had to open the window and leave bathroom fan on all night to stay comfortable. No response to my phone message. Linens are past their useful condition. Not enough grounded electrical outlets. Bad wiring behind blank plate by door. If you lean on it, everything flickers. Internet & TV out for 2 days.

Great location, very close to the train station. Small rooms and a bit slanted, but exactly what you'd expect from an old mining town. Received texts from the host to ensure a smooth check-in and the cleaning lady was very sweet and helpful.

Room I choose was small but super clean and comfortable with everything I needed. Nice large shower a good lodge feel. Right in town park and walk to shopping dinner drinks etc.

We stayed here during the 4th of July festivities. The parade, which was amazing, passed right by the hotel so the view was the best in town. Then as a bonus the fireworks show was straight across town from us providing another perfect view. It was a great stay in a great hotel.

The check in process is incredibly easy. The mattress on the bed was incredibly comfortable. The patio was so nice with great views. Check in and check out times are great. You tube TV in the rooms. Keurig with good coffee cups and creamer in the room. Parking right there. Best restaurant in town is also right below. Will stay here again

My daughter and I stayed here for a weekend of skiing at silverton. We absolutely loved our room! It was such a well appointed space. The bathroom was top notch. It really helped that there was a restaurant below the hotel as we got to eat there. Nick is awesome and we felt super safe.

Beautiful boutique hotel. Gorgeous views of Silverton and the mountains around it. Upstairs has been totally remodeled in a 100 year old building. We stayed during the off season. I can only assume it'll be even better once the restaurant is open downstairs. Note: Hotel is up a 20 step staircase.

Bent Elbow is a nice option for Silverton. The room is cute, but quarters are tight as it's only as wide as the bed and 2 nightstands. There is no elevator, which was fine for me, but could be a challenge for anyone that requires assistance or traveling with large luggage. Lastly, it's located above a restaurant and bar and it will be loud from the afternoon through closing, which is reasonably early for a bar.

Very remote city that has very little going on at this time of year. We had great drinks and Taco's at Dining Establishment in town. Never saw any workers at the hotel.

The room was specious and clean. I am 82, so the steps at 9,000 feet were hard for us. But, the owner was responsive to my needs and the Bent Elbow restaurant and bar was great. Couldn’t hear noise from downstairs or other room. Very cute.

My kids and I stayed in room 5 and would had an amazing stay had it not been for me, there mother leaving in an ambulance with dehydration. Obviously not the bent elbow’s fault. Thank you will definitely try it again next year. Loved the location and vibe.
