Lake Norfork Resort

The resort is on a hill overlooking the Lake. Beds were very comfy, room was huge, very clean,& easy to walk room. Wish there had been a chair & table in room. Their only ice machines was out of order which was inconvenient. Front desk check in person was very nice & welcoming.

It was in the upper 90s and we had been on the lake all day. Thank goodness our room was nice and cool, and it was also very clean. Not a complaint, just stating that the the pool / gym is in an area where bay doors are open to outside, so it was really hot in there.

The pool, hot tub, and restaurant were closed, but this information wasn’t updated on their website. The ice machines were also non functional. Again, didn’t find out until I tried to get ice. When checking out, the front desk lady screamed “What?” at me twice as I was standing at the desk. She was outside the door at the time. I didn’t realize she was speaking to/screaming at me the first time so she had to scream twice. The breakfast wasn’t good. I selected a bagel and a cereal. One half of the bagel was stale and hard as a rock. The milk for cereal came out in chunks. When I informed the front desk, she just shrugged and said that happens.

The shower is broken in our family room and we couldn’t use it…plus when we went to the pool swimming there was no lights whatsoever

People using the pool and hot tub all hours of the night. Other than that everything was wonderful.

I enjoyed the stay.my favorite thing to do is the sauna.

Older resort across from lake. Room was redone with slat wood floors- nice. Bed comfy. Bathroom small. Pool and hot tub area clean and nice. Hot tub was nice pool water cool. Had big overhead doors that were opened so some bugs in water but you could tell they kept on top of it. Dory at front desk very nice! Continental breakfast enough-cereal, pastries, toast etc. yogurt and hard boiled eggs, juice. Nice outside area to sit. Sits above highway but not noisy. About 6 miles outside Mountain Home. Old Mill Tavern towards town has excellent pizza and great staff!

Pool was supposed to close at 10pm the party went on til after 11:30pm. With windows open in pool area our room was filled with mosquitoes. Between the noise and bug bites not much sleep there.

We love this hotel, stayed many times but this time was not so good. They cut back on things like breakfast, no more waffle maker just cereal and a muffin. The hot tub heater was not working but when checking in the front desk told me happily that her sauna and hot tub closed at 10pm, nothing said about it not working. Sad when good places we love make cheap cutbacks that affect the overall experience of ur stay. The room was great and sunset views anaias always.

The hot tub was closed and the indoor pool was ice cold. Also we wanted to stay another night and that consisted of four trips to the lobby to make it happen and it wasn't the original price they quoted. They kept saying it was because of Expedia and then it was another reason ..then they gave us a discount because we upgraded the room due to the fact that I thought I booked an accessible room..so I had to go up in price and yada yada. But room was nice. Don't think they should advertise a pool in jacuzzi if one is too cold to get into and the other is broken

Observed staff treating different customers differently, including allowing the one family a late checkout after telling us it was not possible - and then telling the people after that no as well. Get food before you get there if it’s the off-season. Indoor pool is pretty nice, but a bit dark & over-decorated for Halloween. Common pool-side shower room bathrooms were disgusting.

The rooms were very clean, beds comfortable, no problems with that. The staff are all very friendly, we rented 4 rooms for our family. Where the problem is, the stairwells are all filthy. The tile in the hot tub couldn’t be nastier/dirtier. The side walk in front of the rooms is disgustingly dirty. It never changes from year to year.

Beautiful view of Norfork lake. Room was clean. Staff was friendly. Breakfast did not offer a lot of choicrs.

The bathroom was outdated, washcloths were stained, comforters had black stains and floor under edge of bed had trash and NO hairdryer. A foul smell had water from roof pipe was flowing into ice bucket. The breakfast was scarce, only offered cereal, waffles and 3-different pastries.

The hotel only had a few guest, however, they decided to put us next door to each other and you could hear neighbors yelling late into the night and water constantly running. Also, the floors turned our socks black. The grounds needed trash picked up. The water was turned off to the hotel for over 5 hours. When we arrived there were no lights on for parking lot, in foyer/hall to room or the outside entrance to rooms…we had to use our phone flashlights to navigate. We waited over 20 minutes for someone to come and check us out upon leaving….after 10 minutes of waiting we called the hotel from lobby, after another 10 minutes we called the hotel again, then about 5 minutes after that the person we contacted on the phone finally arrived. We will never stay again

Very friendly staff. There is an indoor pool which was a huge hit with a couple of families who had kids. Breakfast was limited and there was no microwave available for oatmeal that was offered (in individual packets). We had to take our food back to the room because there was limited seating where breakfast was served. The only negative was that after an afternoon of going barefoot in the room, my feet had to be washed before I could put them in the bed.

The desk attendant at check in was very friendly and helpful. Our room had some recent updates and was very clean. Parking is tight so don't be afraid to park in back. My only complaint was that our ground floor room had lots of pill bugs (roly-polys) in the morning. I did notify the manager who acted on it quickly as I overheard his call to the pest company unintentionally.

During a four day stay, my room was only checked for garbage and towels one day (the morning after check in) and never again. On previous visits the housekeeping checked, and refreshed, the towels daily.

Staff was not very courteous @ desk when trying to check in. Room service did not come and clean or replace linens and we had to go to desk to ask for linens.

The Norfork Resort was a great weekend getaway for us. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The room could have used a comfortably chair to sit in .

Room was nice, no carpet all tile floors Shower curtain rod was falling out of the wall & the tv wouldnt work without a roku acct. View was nice enough

Our room was mostly updated. My biggest complaint would be that the mattress was very uncomfortable. There was a spot on the floor, where it doesn’t look like it. was mopped very well other than that no complaints of our stay

Very pretty view, clean and spacious room! The staff was very friendly and it’s only 10 minutes to Mountain Home where you have access to all sorts of things. Photo is the view from my room. It’s nothing super fancy, but it’s clean and roomy- I liked having a table and chairs in my room.

We were in room 105. The first day, when the resort was more full, we had water leaking out of bathroom light (presumably from the room above us.). Not an issue the second day. Lukewarm water on first day. Plenty of hot water the second day. The bed closest to the door has a serious “dip” in the mattress. Your breakfast space is not large enough for the size of your hotel. The single serve coffee machine really guns up the process, with long lines waiting for coffee.

The place says resort but its really a motel. Not even a hotel. 1. Mattresses: new but hard, really hard. 2. TV: remotes no batteries and channels not working for most the time 3. Internet: could not get on for work 4. Shower: only hot water, no cold water 5. No table or chairs in bed room, no where to sit 6. The Staff was very pleasant. 7. AC: the one in our king bed room was not getting cold no matter how low we turned it down.

We enjoyed the room had a view of the lake. Nice patio area to enjoy.

They had no vending machines so snacks were unavailable. The pillows were lumpy. I noticed the first day we had towels from Walmart( mainstays). The next day I went to get towels and they were larger. The bed was uncomfortable-one side leaned so you felt you were going to fall off. We will not stay there again. They recomended a 24 hour gas station in Mountain Home.

Was not allowed to check in even 5 minutes early without being charged for 1/2 day. Gave us cards that did not work. Went back got more cards opened door to an occupied room. Went back a third time to get a room and finally got a room that was hot because air was off. Manager was really the only unpleasant person we had interaction with everyone else was very nice.

Room was good, evening front desk had a dim view of us booking thru Expedia. When i tried to upgrade room to get a lake view they wouldn’t,they said i would have to go thru Expedia even tho they only had about 10 cars there

Great hotel, excellent service, fantastic view, brand new. We got there late at night but the night front desk person Mr Grisham was amazing, taking us around the resort, helping us getting stuff to the room and offering things to drink etc. the view is great and the service excellent. Great coffee.

The ONLY signs around inside hotel stated”staff on property and # to call.” Nobody answered. Heard phone ringing in locked lobby while waiting over 45 minutes in the dark before giving up. Fell tripping on crumpled parking lot. My friend tripped on narrow steps leading outside to parking lot due to (no lights on at night inside public use area or outside building) No info in room or public areas to find anything including ICE, FIRE EXTINGUISHERS, etc.. No phone in room for emergency, lobby supposed to be open 24 hrs WITH staffing. Zero staff because 1 left and next shift never showed. Would have had to use cellphones to call 911 if anything happened in room. Expressed concerns to management. She agreed wasn’t good. That’s it. She left before her replacement showed to work. Only snacks or drink vending INSIDE locked lobby. Had diabetic episode. Had to find a store to get juice. Nothing close was open at 11:00 pm. With no information in room, didn’t know where to look. Web page didn’t give enough local info to even find a store. No elevators. And stairs didn’t access entire floors. It was a maze in the dark to finally find THE ONLY ICE MACHINE. My friend and I stayed there for a night to relax away from kids. It was extremely stressful. The manager was very nice. But after she left without insuring staff was on site. Things got scary. Room was ok. Not really comfortable or warming. Was more like a hospital room for 2. TV static on every station. WiFi spotty. Not again!

Check in and out was very inconvenient. There is not staff at the desk after 7pm or before 7am. You have to call and wait 15-20 minutes for someone to come from off-site. All rooms have access from inside, however, they surround the indoor pool and the smell of chlorine is extremely overwhelming. The beds are not queen size, they are full size; making it very uncomfortable for 2 people to sleep in the same bed.

It was our anniversary trip, never stayed here before but looked nice and on the lake. Staff was friendly. It was the end of July and HOT! We got there Monday late afternoon and didn't take a shower since we had one before went. I tried to shower the next morning but no hot water. We told the front desk and when we got back to our room it was late and was told it was fixed. My husband went to take a shower and there was no cold water! We told the front desk. It never got fixed. We asked for a partial refund since we were not able to take a shower at all in the hottttt summer, and left messages, talked to the manager and still nothing. Not very good communication and I told them if they made this right with us we would be back but so far NOTHING. We stayed July 24, 25, 26, checked out the 27th. Today is August 6 and no word at all from them.

Staff was very friendly & made us feel like we were home! Definitely gave us all the answers to our questions about the area, where to eat, What things to do. We will definitely go back!

It has been a true blessing finding this place. The friendliest of people and it’s right across from the lake, indoor pool, hot tub and the best price. I’m a volunteer chaplain for the North Central unit and my wife, kids and I need to come to the area a couple times a month. Finding an affordable place to stay that has great facilities and an indoor pool is a God send.

This was a great location right across the street from the Lake. Very nice property with space to park your boat in the back.

Nice, quiet place to relax with lots of beautiful outdoor recreation options around the Lake.

This hotel is in a perfect location. Beautiful sunset views of the lake. Clean rooms with easy access from the parking lot. Very nice restaurant adjacent. Finally, an extremely good value. I would highly recommend.

I hadn’t been to the resort since I was a child. But walking in with my daughter felt as magical as it did when I was a kid. My daughter loved it. The staff was so kind and friendly! The pool was a little cold, but we still had fun. The view was spectacular. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it!

I was there during the off-season, everything was on point! Breafast was a little dull... but did find somthing to snack on, and coffee was good.

I had some issues with a staff member during my stay, but the resort addressed the issue ASAP. I would give it 5/5 stars. Rooms were clean, pool was nice, and breakfast was good. Hoping to stay here again in the future.

Great place....not too fancy, but certainly not shabby. Dgo friendly, staff is super friendly, great view of the lack and town is nearby. Look forward to going back when the restaurant is open!
