This hotel was a PERFECT location for a 2 night stay in Athens. The location was near shops, restaurants, and the acropolis. We never even had to think about taking a Taxi anywhere. The staff is friendly. The room was a great size and very clean. The bed was the coziest out of all the places we stayed in Greece. The neighbooring street is a little noisy but it didn’t disturb our stay. The rooftop restaurants is INCREDIBLE. Good prices and all the food and drinks were top notch. The tavern under the hotel is also great! Would recommend this place to anyone coming to Athens

Nice rooftop view but long wait for small elevator that could only fit 3-4 people. Modern room but lacking shelves or drawers

This is my third stay at Ciel. I must admit I am very disappointed this year. I travelled with my 2 children for 6 nights. After the check-in we went to our room, 5th floor, the card/keys didn’t work. Had to go back down and have the card activated. Wi-fi password didn’t work also. The third night the A/C didn’t work, it was 27.6° in the room. I went in the morning to let the receptionist know, she came on the 5th floor, opened the door to the linen/control room and reset the A/C. And she said smiling in 10 min you will be ok. The reception desk is closed at night and we had a horrible night! I asked for a discount and to speak to management about this, never happened!! The 5th night when we got back to our room, the card/keys to the room didn’t work again. Had to go back down and have them activated again. I asked to speak to management about all these inconvenience, never happened. No manager available or present, I was told they would contact me, never did. There is construction just below in the same building, it was pretty noisy but that alone would not of been an issue. The elevator that holds 4 people at the time was almost never available du to people using it to go to the roof top bar or restaurant. No priority for clients renting rooms with their suitcases.

The property looks nicer in pictures than in real life. There were poorly patched up holes in walls. We couldn't get shampoo for our room for 2 days. Tissue box had cocktail napkins in it. The elevator to roof top restaurant was for everyone, not just hotel guests. You have to wait for a thousand teenagers every night

Rooftop restaurant and Acropolis view at night is spectacular!

Plusses: This hotel is incredibly well-located in Plaka. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooftop bar/restaurant is lovely with views of cathedral and acropolis. Rooms are very clean. Our room had a beautiful view of the cathedral and plaza. Minuses: Rooms are very small. Elevator is tiny, slow, scary (lights went out), and overused. Reception desk is not always staffed. Pro tip: manager's office is on the 5th floor. Food at rooftop cafe is average.

Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral sehr gut zu erreichen. Das Zimmer ist neu ,aber es war nicht gut gereinigt. Fleck auf dem Bett und Haare auf den Boden. Große Fenster ,aber leider sehr verschmutz ,man konnte kaum raus schauen. Für eine Nacht okay. Dafür hat dei Rofftopbar alles entschädigt:) em

This hotel was in the most perfect location for the major sites in Athens, everything is incredibly walkable, and you're right at the heart of the Plaka market, which was always bustling and felt very exciting. The room was spacious and was very clean and comfortable. My only complaint is that they clearly watered down our soap and shampoo, and the conditioner was just replaced with more watered down shampoo, which felt a little bit cheap, but other than that, this was a great stay and an amazing location! Would definitely recommend, just bring your own hair products.

The roof top terrace is the top feature of this hotel. I found the sheets and pillows could have been cleaned better and also the room overall. The room was spacious, overall good stay.

It was renovated and looks good building including the roof top bar, but it was a little too loud for family staying. And it smells bad from the bathroom area which needs deeper cleaning of water drain.

Die Unterkunft hat eine super Lage, zu Fuß sind vielen Dinge gut zu erreichen. Das Zimmer selbst sind optisch schön aber ich finde zum Teil fehlt Ihnen etwas Ausstattung. Zum Beispiel ein Stuhl auf dem man Sitzen kann. Der "Tisch" über dem Mini-Kühlschrank könnte man gut nutzen um daran zu sitzen aber es gibt eben keine richtige Sitzgelegenheiten außer das Bett. Im Zimmer riecht es immer sehr gut, ein bisschen so als würde dort regelmäßig ein Raumduft versprüht werden. Der Abfluss im Badezimmer stinkt allerdings und dieser Geruch könnte sich gut ins Zimmer übertragen lassen also da auf jedenfall immer die Tür schließen. Wenn auf dem Flur vor dem Zimmer etwas passiert hört man dies super gut im Zimmer, also alles sehr hellhörig und nicht weit vom Hotel entfernt ist eine Kirche deren Glocken regelmäßig schlagen. Wem das nichts ausmacht dem kann ich das Hotel uneingeschränkt empfehlen

Great location and the room was lovely. There was an air conditioning keypad on the wall which made us assume the temperature could be controlled by us, however no matter what we did the room just kept getting hotter and hotter. It seems that the temperature control is for all the rooms on each floor and the staff could either turn it off or turn it on! Or at least that was what they told me. We went in November so I can't even imagine what it is like in the height of summer. I was also told to shut the curtains to stop the sun coming in and leave the window open. The window only opened by 3 inches maximum

Location is close to major landmarks and plenty of restaurants in few blocks. View from rooftop restaurant is one of the best. The rooms are small, will be ok if you have less luggage.

Most amazing view that I have ever had from a hotel room. Room 506 is small, but you can look at the acropolis.

Poor storage in room

Wi-Fi did not work even after trying different passwords they gave us. There are 2 steps to go up to the bathroom which is a hazard at night.

The room we stayed in was very modern and spacious. The receptionist was very helpful. Best part of this hotel is the location. The rooftop is beautiful with an amazing view of the acropolis great drink choices and very good food. Would totally stay there on my next Athens trip!

Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. No complaints. The only thing I would mention is that we stayed on the fourth floor and on the sixth floor is the rooftop patio that had loud music into the night while we were trying to sleep.

This hotel is very quaint. The room was small but nicely decorated, clean, with a comfy bed. Only complaint was that you could hear all the noise around you. The hotel is nestled on a fabulous location; we were able to easily walk everywhere we wanted to go. Close to restaurants, the acropolis and other major sites. We also loved the rooftop bar, great views, drinks, and staff. Marie at the front desk was kind, helpful and knowledgeable.

The staff was good, location perfect but the room design missed the essentials. 1. Safe located so you must lay on the floor on your side to use. 2. No clothes storage whatsoever 3. No work area with chair. 4. No telephone to front desk 5. No counter space for items in room or bathroon. Divan handy for suitcases. Bedside tables non existant. Sharp wood corners on bed drew blood as they projected unseen from bed. BIG step up into bathroon without visual strip to see. AC non functional. Darkening blind could not be adjusted. Excellent restaurant on 6th floor. Staff did allow free breakfast and grateful for that.

Rooms are poorly set up. Step off bedroom area then step up to bathroom. No towel racks in bathroom. Smaller rooms had no closet limited clothing rack, very basic accommodations. Metropolis view room was looking at side of the building next door. Staff were friendly and tried to be accommodating. Restaurant upstairs is very good.

Front desk personnel were very helpful and patient with our large group. The roof top bar had nice views of the Parthenon. Within walking distance of most tourist attractions.

The location was perfect and the space was clean. The only issue we had was that there was no one at reception most of the time. We had to wait 30 minutes before someone showed up to the desk for check in and no one answered the phones.

The staff were very helpful. The location is fantastic. Felt very safe. Within walking distance to all of central Athens. Directly below the Acropolis and the Parthenon and the restaurants on the steps on the way up. They arranged a private transfer from the airport which worked out fantastic. The roof top restaurant has an amazing view and we enjoyed the food enough that we returned several times. If in Athens again, I would strongly consider staying here again.

We had to wait a while to check in because the guy who works the check in counter went somewhere and didn’t leave a note or anything to say he’d be back. It was a bit confusing and felt out of place.

I booked this hotel last minutes for two nights due to my original vacation rental booking problem. The front desk lady, Aggeliki was very helpful throughout my stay. Her professional demeanor and kindness as a person, also night shift lady was helpful and tried to find my next hotel because they were fully booked 3rd night. I found a place suggested by Veso via WhatsUp. All restaurant staff (roof top and first floor, especially Nick, was amaziing) Ciel Living Athens Team did beyond and above for me. Thank you!!

The staff were very helpful. Rooms are clean and air conditioned. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. Has an amazing view from the rooftop restaurant.

Perfect location. Not friendly staff. The construction is right outside of my door and no inner lock.Super noisy as the public stairs right outside of my door as well. People come and go until midnight and you can hear everything. I asked to change room but got dirty look and “nothing I can do for you” Very poor service. The reception staff is not always there.

The location of this property was excellent right in the heart of Plaka with excellent restaurants and shopping right outside the door. 12 minute walk to the Acropolis and a fantastic rooftop garden!

Amazing locafion

Die Lage ist perfekt. Mitten im Zentrum. Von der Metrostation (Syntagma) ca. 5 Minuten zu Fuß die Mitropoleos Straße herunterlaufen und man ist da. Zimmer ist sehr sauber, ruhig und hatte einen schönen Blick auf die Kirche. Sehr schöne Rooftop-Bar mit gutem Essen und tollem Blick auf die Akropolis und die Stadt. Ideales Hotel für eine Städtereise. Man kann die gesamte Stadt zu Fuß erkunden.

Location location location, don’t expect too much, all needs are met for sure. Very basic but location is the high point.

Great hotel that is conveniently located between Plaka and Monastiraki with many eating and shopping options. Other tourist attractions are also within walking distance. The room was small but clean with good air conditioning, a mini fridge, and a coffee maker. Our room had an excellent view of the Mitropolis Cathedral. From the rooftop bar, there are excellent views of the Acropolis & Mount Lycavitos. The hotel also has an elevator. Definitely recommended!

Location is central, convenient for Metro and some main attractions such as the Acropolis. Reception was helpful, with good restaurant recommendations. Room is basic. Doesn’t even have a conventional kettle, which I thought should be standard.

Nice, clean and spacious room that is centrally located. It has a rooftop bar with a nice view of the Acropolis. The receptionist was nice and helpful.

This was a great location in the city. Very walkable to everything we wanted to see. The roof top restaurant had wonderful views and good food. I would definitely recommend if you are looking for a great spot right in the middle of everything!

A great place to stay in the Monastiraki area. Very standard rooms, but in a great location! The rooftop restaurant/bar was also wonderful.
