The sunset was amazing. Also, the ice cream store right at the facility was a plus. We enjoyed the canoe one day and the paddle boat the other. Fun park next door. Great area for kids. Would visit again on next trip to Itasca State Park.

Beautiful view of the lake with a nice Sandy beach. The property manager was friendly and a very hard worker. She clearly appreciates her job and her customers. We enjoyed our stay.

The owner is phenomenal and doing an amazing job turning this property into a great place for a quiet getaway! The rooms are updated nicely and include complimentary snacks. The property is right on the lake with a beautiful swimming beach. The new outdoor sauna is amazing. Only wish we would have had more time to stay longer. Will definitely be going back even if just for the new boutique ice cream shop!

We stayed here for only two nights. It was very quiet and has some nice options to recreate such as canoeing/kayaking, fishing, swimming or just relaxing on the resort’s beach. The staff was very attentive.

I booked it last minute and I am so glad this place was available because it was perfect! Everyone was so friendly, like we had been friends for years. After walking out of our room we were steps away from the sandy private beach or you could venture over to the public beach for more space. They had everything you needed in case you forgot something, like kayaks, canoes, life jackets, and paddle boats. Even and ice cream shop for those hot days! Me and my two kids loved it and will definitely come back!!

This was easily the best motel I’ve stayed at during my cycling trip across Minnesota. As motels go, it was average. But the owners have made an extra effort to make it nice and the location is absolutely superb. I could walk out of my room and in 40 feet be sitting on the beach in front of a lovely lake.

The beach was nice for a short stay. Loved the ice cream shop on site. The outside of the property looks dated, but the rooms have been updated and were clean. I would definitely there again.

The pictures on the site are 100% nothing like the property. I booked through Expedia last minute as it was to cold to camp. When I booked I was 300 or so miles away and it was intended for the next day. The reservation went through for the same day which would not work. I immediately called the motel. The man said go through Expedia for the refund but we have nothing available the next day. Which we found out wasnt true. I then called Expedia., who called the motel who said we will refund the first day if they book the following day but it will cost 8 dollars more. I agreed. We showed up the next day paid for the second night with the understanding the first nights fee would roll into the charge. Went to the open room and it was dirty smelled musty and we left. Expedia then informed me no reimbursement was coming. So we paid for 2 nights didn't stay 5 minutes, were lied to, etc. This has never happened to us before. A total dishonest buisness. If I was local to here I would take this to court.

The hotel was just what we expected. Very budget friendly. We especially appreciated the barrel sauna/swim! The place is old but has been nicely updated. Tight rooms like most of the old mom and pop motels. Very clean. We would stay again.

I was pleasantly surprised with the service and ease of check in. The room was comfortable and clean and the shower was amazing! My only complaint is the walls are pretty thin so you can hear people in the adjoining rooms but that is to be expected. Will definitely recommend and be back!

The motel was a pleasant surprise. It was nice to find something on a lake in this price range. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Shower had plenty of pressure. The staff (owner I think) was very personable. The only concern is there was a very loud person in the room next to me and I could actually make out what they were saying. Fortunately they quieted down before I went to bed.

I made the reservation four hours and then left to stay overnight so I could be at a morning appointment. I got to the hotel and the office was closed and the front desk was unmanned. There was a number for after hours checkin but no on answered. THIS HOTEL IS CLOSED and I somehow was sold a reservation

Was a last second thing! The front desk lady was more then helpful with everything and very nice ! I would definitely recommend to anyone and would definitely be returning 😊 keep up the good work and vibes ! Owners should be lucky to have employees like her around ! Thank you again ! Das ist ein wunderschönes Fleckchen Erde. Die Familie Klein ist sehr herzlich, offen, geduldig und hilfsbereit. Es gibt die Möglichkeit, direkt vorm Zimmer zu parken. Das Motel liegt an der Straße, aber diese ist nicht wirklich zu hören. Café, Einkaufsmöglichkeit gibt es in Laufnähe. Mein Bett war etwas weich, aber das ist ja Geschmackssache. Ich war dort sehr happy und kann das Motel nur empfehlen!

Love staying right next to the beach and water. The ice cream parlor is a wonderful addition and the ice cream is fantastic. Our room was very quiet, and we had a nice relaxing stay.

The sunset was amazing. Also, the ice cream store right at the facility was a plus. We enjoyed the canoe one day and the paddle boat the other. Fun park next door. Great area for kids. Would visit again on next trip to Itasca State Park.

Love staying right next to the beach and water. The ice cream parlor is a wonderful addition and the ice cream is fantastic. Our room was very quiet, and we had a nice relaxing stay.

I booked it last minute and I am so glad this place was available because it was perfect! Everyone was so friendly, like we had been friends for years. After walking out of our room we were steps away from the sandy private beach or you could venture over to the public beach for more space. They had everything you needed in case you forgot something, like kayaks, canoes, life jackets, and paddle boats. Even and ice cream shop for those hot days! Me and my two kids loved it and will definitely come back!!

The room was very clean with nice flooring and a well stocked bathroom. Desk clerk was personable and helpful. The lakeside was pretty and accessible. Additional dining in Park Rapids was only 15 minutes away.

Love Spirit Lake Resort! The GM Shannon was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable. The beach area was nice, and my Grandkids loved the ice cream shop! Will definitely be back.

The beach was nice for a short stay. Loved the ice cream shop on site. The outside of the property looks dated, but the rooms have been updated and were clean. I would definitely there again.

Checkin was quick. Room was small but comfortable. Bathroom floor worn. Front window cracked and needs repair. Grounds and beach look like fun but too cold in April. Barrel sauna looked fun with nice view of lake. No breakfast and not many places in town for morning meal

I love staying at Spirit Lake even when it is -14 in middle of winter when visiting my Aunt in Menahga. Because they are always warm, cozy, and room is ready and waiting for me. There is breakfast in town and Greenwood is right up the road. Thanks for being great!

Of all the places that I stayed during my 10 day trip - it was this one that I enjoyed the most... Easiest check-in that I've ever experienced... Nice clean, quiet room with windows that open up for fresh, lake air... Very comfortable bed... Another fave - the car was parked 5 feet from my room - making the best scenario for loading and unloading the car... I would definitely stay here again...

My room was clean it had a nice clean smell, but the towels were old and stained. They need to be replaced along with sheets. Property could use a clean up, weeds pulled, sidewalks swept and clean up on the beach.
