The Farmstead Hotel

We enjoyed our stay . It was only for one night but we would go back again . The only thing the place there where they had to get drinks was pretty empty . Would Suggest filling it up more often . Overall very nice stay !

Room was very clean and neat however there are no vending machines on site. The no cash only cards there considering that there is a Casnio there is ridiculous! When I checked in there was $50 that I still owed. The girl at the front desk couldn't get my card to go through and had to run it again. Later on that night we wanted snacks and there were snacks there but the guy at the front desk couldn't get the card to work and acted like he didn't know what he was doing. So there was no snacks or sodas just the water that we had brought in. There is no breakfast there and when it was time to check out there was no one at the front desk you had to call a number and wait for someone to show up. Ended up just leaving key at front desk. For the price of the room staff there not being able to get cards to go through cash only no breakfast! Wouldn't stay there again!

Staff was excellent. I didn't like we did not have mircowaves and iron and ironing boards. Otherwise we really enjoyed our stay

The hotel appears fairly new and overall in good condition. Sheets and towels were clean, and the bed was comfortable. But whoever cleaned our room didn't do a good job. The carpet and armchair were dirty, there were smears on the nightstand and dirt and litter on the floor outside our door, there were crumbs on the desk chair, and the glass shower partition showed all kinds of drips and smears when it fogged up. However, it was dirty but not gross. And the person at the front desk was very helpful when we had trouble adjusting the heater. Also, the neighborhood around the hotel seemed kind of run down, but it didn't feel noisy or unsafe, and parking was convenient.

Starbucks coffee available and I think it was available 24 hours but we only used it in the morning. The bed was supposed to have been queen size and they stated it was but it was very small Queen if it was. Hotel is newer and close to the casino which is a very short walk 2-3 minutes max. Parking available for free.

Everything is new, modern and clean. Love the scent in the hotel along with the complimentary bath products. Fresh Starbucks coffee in the lobby was great too!

The hotel is the only one of consequence in Caruthersville. It sits across from the casino that owns it. It is a remodeled version of a hotel built more than 20 years ago. The hotel is lovely, clean and modern. It has an elevator and free parking. Check-in is easy, and the staff are cheerful and polite. Pricing was reasonable, and you can book directly through the hotel or a third-party platform. The room was spacious, well-appointed and clean. The only drawer contained a safe. There's a closet with a few hangers, but no other clothing storage. You really need to be able to live out of your suitcase. Two drawbacks to the room are the lighting and the mattress. The fixtures are pretty and practical, but there's simply not enough light for the space. If you need much light, you have to go into the bathroom. The mattress was in a frame, and the mattress in this room should be replaced. It's lost its firmness, so that it compresses too much within the frame. We are able-bodied people of normal weight. We found it inconvenient to comfortably get out of bed or to sit on the bed. It was not a comfortable sleeping surface. The bathroom was great--no shower door or curtain, which i prefer. A partition keeps the water inside the shower. There's also a fan that's activated when the lights come on. Upon check-in we were given a sack of two juices, a couple of snack bars and one fruit cup. There is no breakfast on site. Sadly, there are very few dining options in town.

We stayed there to and from a trip bc it was halfway on an 18 hour one way trip. The first night, the room was perfect and super clean. On the way back through, we stayed again. This time the room we had was not clean. The bathroom had snickers wrapper on the floor and the room smelled musty, not clean.

There was a dead bed bug on the comforter!!! Worst experience ever! I checked out in 30 seconds!!!

The room floors were sticky and dirty and probably never mopped. The walls are thin and at 6am it's so loud. Bathroom door had no handle. The half glass shower is terrible. Water flys out of the shower and EVERYWHERE. No maids cleaned the 3 days I was there.

The online photos look great, and superficially the place does look nice. However, the linens were gross. There was a large stain on my blanket that appeared to be a urine stain. There were also stains on the sheets of both our beds, including two that would appear to be of “other body fluids.” The water pressure was extremely low. Please see the photo of the sink running full blast.

The room was clean and the staff was courteous. I’d recommend asking for a second floor room if possible. We stayed on the first floor and every movement from the room and hallway above us was heard in our room.

The Farmstead was clean and recently renovated. The bed was nice. However the amenities were very spare. I knew there was no restaurant or breakfast provided so I brought my own food, but there was no microwave in the room. Had to eat a cold dinner. I think I can find better places to stay.

There is no breakfast options. They only have one iron and ironing board that you have to ask for. The sliding bathroom/closet door kept coming off track. Husband was not a fan of the half shower door. The corners at the end of the bed stick out and we all kept hitting our knees/legs on them. One of our rooms had a vent that had a sour/moldy smell (room 101) Microwave would be nice.

This is a nicely remodeled and well-appointed property. The only problem I had is that the walls and floors seemed very thin. I heard people loudly thumping around above me during my entire stay, and I could clearly hear the television next door until after 2:30 a.m.

Water stream in sink so small you could barely brush your teeth. No end tables or coffe table next to couch, had to set coffee on the floor. Fire alarm at 2:45am. Had to evacuate. No apology, no explanation. Phone in room wouldn't call front desk. No sign on phone to even know how to call. No internet password provided at check in. Rolling door on bathroom rolls open on its own. Will say, the beds are comfortable, room was clean, and felt safe. The room was in good condition and staff was courteous! The negatives were no breakfast or tub options! The internet was horrible and I really needed it for work!! I had to use my hotspot which is not what I wanted to do!

Tv didn’t work and wish they would have had a breakfast as I was hitting the road early. I talked to the person at the desk and she told me what to do but it didn’t work. I was too tired to put more into it…I just feel when you turn the tv on it’ll work.

Very small room, no chair just a bed and tv. No bathtub just a shower.

The tv and remote did not work. Called many times and ended up having to get room comped and refunded

I would not recommend to stay at this hotel again. They are continuing to put charges on my credit card that I know nothing about. I gave them my card to put down the regular room charge for essentials of which they have none. I only received one of those charges back. At 4:28am on my second day there, somebody from the hotel charged my card. I was told that would be refunded to me. It has not been refunded. Since then someone has charged larger amounts on my credit card. I paid for my room prior to staying. Nothing should have been charged to my credit card. They are continuing to try and charge my credit card. I had to file a dispute with my credit card company to get the charges removed.

Loud and unclean. Staff was rude

We had a problem with the fire alarm and received three visits from the staff. Two of the visits were from security and they acted in a professional manner. However the third visit came from a maintenance worker and he just walked in the room without knocking or announcing himself. My girlfriend was trying to take a shower and the visits kept disrupting that and the third visit she was almost exposed in a vulnerable position.

I enjoyed the over all stay. However, at check out there was no one there to help. Other than that very good. I will come again and recommend others.

Effective and efficient front desk experience!

My stay was excellent. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, but what stood out most was the staff. They were attentive, welcoming, and went out of their way to make me feel at home. Truly outstanding service

Room was great, the hotel charged the wrong card, i gave them my new card st check in when asked for a copy of the card I wanted charged. They still charged the other card. And then neglected to inform us there would be a $50 fee added for damages that would take about 7 business days to come off the card.

What we liked about it was it was convenient to the casino. What we didn't like was it's in a run down area that's a little sketchy, making you feel unsafe.

This is a great choice for folks visiting the casino across the street…so-so for travelers looking for a night’s stay. No problems with hotel…food options are severely lacking. For our Sunday stay it was a snack bar at the casino or drive six miles out to the interstate (which we did).

This hotel is extremely nice and a good value. You can walk to the Casino or the river. If you like a road less traveled, this is it. The grounds were very well kept. I will go again.

Small property next to local casino, renivated and owned by casino. Really nothing in this area other than this. Very rural, rather decaying town in agricultural area. There are a few fast food places 4 miles away, and a bar/diner that did have tasty food on a small menu.

This hotel is a little off the beaten path for traveling through. It’s in a little town, I wasn’t sure what I had gotten myself into at first as I traveled from the intestate in the dark…but it’s a lovely hotel that seems brand new! It’s right next to a casino. It’s a small hotel but the rooms are very very clean. It felt safe. Would definitely stay again!

We stayed for one night en route to our next location - the hotel is absolutely beautiful! There is a casino across the way (super short walk!) - we did not check it out because we got in late. The breakfast noted online is a grab and go snack - wanted to note for planning purposes!

The listing on Expedia says that breakfast is included. There is no breakfast at the hotel.

This is a beautiful new property that is clean and only a few minutes off the highway. My only complaint is that there was no continental breakfast options but found a local place that had great breakfast!

We booked this hotel around 2:30pm the same day while still 4 hours away. At 7:15, the property was calling to ask where we were? We arrived shortly after. Checked in. Online it stated free breakfast. You are given a “snack sack” which had 2 cans of orange juice, a pack donuts and a granola bar. That is your free breakfast. We get in our room. We notice the size of the bed. The room advertised a queen bed, this was clearly a double bed. Still we Settled in, tired. Almost asleep when someone comes banging on our door. I get up, tell my wife to stay in bed. Ask multiple times who it is. No one would answer. The front desk then calls my cell to say that I have to come sign a paper stating we won’t smoke in the room. It is now going on 11 pm we checked in at 7:35. Poor customer service. The walls of the rooms are super thin as you can hear your neighbors television and conversations. In my opinion everything about this hotel is misleading.
