I have stayed here many times and it never disappoints. Rooms and all areas extremely clean. Staff always polite and friendly. Food always up to a high standard. It is a pleasure to stay here and can be highly recommended.

This is our second trip in six months to the Red Lion and we fully intend to book again. We stayed in the Napoleon room as we did on our previous trip. The only reason that I could not give an excellent review on every point was that I did not check the breakfast box in arrival only to find out the following morning that it was incomplete and only set for one guest which was disappointing when we had a big day ahead of us. However the manager was very apologetic when we told him that evening and it was a genuine miscommunication between the management and housekeeping. I am sure it would not happen as a norm. The restaurant was fabulous on both evenings and for an out of the way pub it was really busy on both evenings. I can absolutely recommend the Calves Liver….. absolutely delicious.

The Red Lion is an excellent traditional English country pub. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the food was very good. The bedrooms have been refurbished recently and are simple but very comfortable with modern, clean shower rooms. Only one plea.....please put some shelves or a flat surface around the sink so there is somewhere to put bathroom items, tooth brushes creams etc!!!! Otherwise very well done.

Friendly helpful staff, clean throughout. Redlion is in a Nice and quiet area, so we had a peaceful night's sleep . Continental breakfast supplied with a great selection of choice .

This hotel is not the place it used to be. I have stayed here since it opened in 2016 and it has declined. Certain members of staff are also very abrupt like they don’t want to be there and that everything is a hassle for them. The cleanliness in the rooms has also declined unfortunately. Extremely disappointing.

The red lion was a wonderful place to stay. The staff were friendly and it was very clean. I was worried because we were in the cottage next to the pub that it could be loud, but it wasn't at all. I slept so well and they had really comfortable beds. The shower had good water pressure and the soaps they provided were lovely. It was perfect and exactly what we expected from booking. Thanks so much - will be back :)

The Red Lion is located in the wonderful countryside of Northamptonshire. The room we stayed in was the Napoleon room which did not disappoint. The front view with sheep roaming in the field was a joy to behold. The breakfast box in the room was excellent, having had a wonderful meal the night before. The stay was memorable and a return visit is a must.

stayed here a few times now, have twice commented to manager the room needs curtains or blackout blind as light pours in at 6am. Nothing done. Have said mattress is very uncomfy, can feel springs, nothing has been done. So the 9 times a year I stay in this area I will now take my custom elsewhere.

The Red Lion is an excellent traditional English country pub. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the food was very good. The bedrooms have been refurbished recently and are simple but very comfortable with modern, clean shower rooms. Only one plea.....please put some shelves or a flat surface around the sink so there is somewhere to put bathroom items, tooth brushes creams etc!!!! Otherwise very well done.

The red lion was a wonderful place to stay. The staff were friendly and it was very clean. I was worried because we were in the cottage next to the pub that it could be loud, but it wasn't at all. I slept so well and they had really comfortable beds. The shower had good water pressure and the soaps they provided were lovely. It was perfect and exactly what we expected from booking. Thanks so much - will be back :)

A rather disappointing stay. Decorating was being done and I think this should have been mentioned after the booking as a "heads up". Due to this there was paint being stored in the hallway and the floors in the hallways were uncarpeted. The fridge was incredibly loud at night so I ended up taking the plug out. The continental breakfast did not include some things as stated on the breakfast sheet. It was expensive for what it is and would not stay here again. Food was good and they brought the food to my room which was appreciated but many things on the menu seemed overpriced.

I have stayed here many times and it never disappoints. Rooms and all areas extremely clean. Staff always polite and friendly. Food always up to a high standard. It is a pleasure to stay here and can be highly recommended.

The Red Lion is located in the wonderful countryside of Northamptonshire. The room we stayed in was the Napoleon room which did not disappoint. The front view with sheep roaming in the field was a joy to behold. The breakfast box in the room was excellent, having had a wonderful meal the night before. The stay was memorable and a return visit is a must.

This is our second trip in six months to the Red Lion and we fully intend to book again. We stayed in the Napoleon room as we did on our previous trip. The only reason that I could not give an excellent review on every point was that I did not check the breakfast box in arrival only to find out the following morning that it was incomplete and only set for one guest which was disappointing when we had a big day ahead of us. However the manager was very apologetic when we told him that evening and it was a genuine miscommunication between the management and housekeeping. I am sure it would not happen as a norm. The restaurant was fabulous on both evenings and for an out of the way pub it was really busy on both evenings. I can absolutely recommend the Calves Liver….. absolutely delicious.

What is not to like. Beautiful, peaceful setting, lovely rooms,great food - liver and bacon to die for- friendly engaging staff. The breakfast box is a bonus. It means you have a great selection of cereal, fruit, pastries which can be grazed upon during the day. Even fresh milk and fruit juice

Excellent stay in a quiet village pub. Clean well equipped comfortable rooms with a lovely plentiful continental breakfast. Food in the cost pub was excellent. Would definitely recommend.
