Soho Boutique Holbox - Adults Only

This was out 4th or 5th time staying at SoHo.. It has been since Covid, so we were no aware of the changes.. No breakfast on site, No coffee, No Bar. Beach club offered a nice continental, a few mins away. The pool was cloudy and was unappealing, the shower handle fell off and of all thing the toilet seat did not fit the toilet. All of these things were addressed and or good in the end. But, overall it is part of a bigger corporate program with many properties. There is Detail in the Retail!

We loved the small size of the hotel. It was close to a few restaurants and beach clubs. It had everything we needed. We enjoyed the breakfast at the hotel next door and access to the roof top swimming pool of the hotel next door. You can't compare this hotel to a 5 star resort in Cancun. Its a nice place to sleep, slow down, and unplug!

Nos encantó el lugar, el hotel es muy limpio, el personal muy agradable y servicial. Les recomiendo apartar uno de sus masajes, el SPA está muy hermoso.

El hotel está bonito, no está sobre la playa, comparte instalaciones con otro hotel y club de playa, tiene 2 muy buenas albercas y la decoración de 10

Es la segunda vez que estoy Hospedada y sin duda volveré, la habitación y amenidades muy bien, solo las áreas comunes un poco descuidadas y hasta olvidadas como el roof que tenía el agua verde, ya no sirven el desayuno dentro del hotel y hay que salir a el club de playa que está muy lindo y se come muy bien sin embargo no fue mi hit tener que salir, quizá hace falta que coloquen algún edredón en las habitaciones, un día llovió y la sábana no era suficiente para dormir cómoda, por lo demás el trato del personal de primera, sin duda volveré

This property has misrepresented itself online. It is not a beachfront property and does not have an operating restaurant. What it has is a sister hotel 100 meters away that has a restaurant and offers sun beds on the beach. The Soho has a very small swimming pool, marginally bigger than a hot tub and has 4 sun loungers. The “restaurant” is open from 8-10.30am for breakfast, which is a fixed plate. Your only choice is omlette or scrambled eggs! The rooms are spacious and well maintained, however lack the little touches that should be there in a 4 star hotel, such as glasses in the bathroom and facial tissues. The staff are helpful and try their best but I think the online description needs to be more honest.

El desayuno americano incluído es en el hotel de enfrente, frente al mar, eso es un plus. Yo pensé que este hotel estaba frente al mar, pero está en la segunda línea. Tomamos un masaje en su spa, muy profesionales las terapeutas, deberían tener unas mantas durante el masaje para las personas friolentas (como mi esposa). Recomiendo el lugar? Si, si quieres algo alejado del centro, a buen precio, y muy cómodo. Pero si tienes el presupuesto un poco bajo, recomiendo hospedarte en el centro y ahorrarte los taxis que cuestan 150 pesos para llegar o salir del hotel y tener opciones de comida más baratas... Aunque también puedes caminar 15 minutos para llegar al centro.

I can’t say enough good things about this property. When we first came up we were in awe of the property and how beautiful it was. One of the best parts is the workers. Paco and Carlos were so amazing and called each time we needed a taxi and had the best recommendations for food and places to visit. We truly felt welcome and enjoyed the sister hotel amenities as well. We will be back soon

Clean and quiet

Beautiful rutic, beach place, but room wasn’t clean when I arrived.

Fair experience. Location is not the best as the hotel is an area where new hotels are being built up. 20 min walking from the center. The hotel is not beach front, and the closest beach is not great. Hotel is dated, staff forgot to clean our room and we had to ask twice to finally get someone at 6pm. You can take breakfast at the nearby hotel but it’s very basic and not great quality. The best bit of the hotel is to be able to access the sea front hotel which has a beautiful rooftop with a pool and a bar (great for sunset).

L'hôtel était assez sympathique car très typique des îles et le personnel très gentil. Ce qui est dommage c'est que le sol des chambres n'est pas très propre

La ubicación está bien cerca de la playa, pero no tenían camastros con sombrillas ni en buen estado, para llegar caminando las calles inhundadas pero eso es en todos lados, lo que menos nos gustó fue que el cuarto tenía al menos 3 cucarachas diarias que nos salían

There were a few aspects that need improvement: the room where I stayed had a water pump aside and there was constant noice of the water pump coming on and off during day and night; the room service was done very late (some days after 4 or 5 pm); the air conditioning controls did not work well and there was no intention to change them or fix them; the personnel was kind and helpful, but they refused to give me a tax receipt for the cost of my stay. Although this does not depend on the hotel, the area around the hotel is difficult to walk because of streets being flooded or the sea level being too high to cross through the beach.

There is a building work going on next door but we never had any issues with noise. The staff were helpful and friendly. The rooms were very clean on arrival and were cleaned each day. Food at the beach club opposite was good, and there is a great Italian restaurant nearby. Quiet location with plenty of pools and of course the sea to cool off in. Perfect to watch the sunset from the beach.

The area had a recent flood so I don’t think we got the true experience of the area. The hotel itself was nice and clean. The staff was great and attentive to what we needed. Our stay included breakfast which was served at the sister hotel across the street. The food was great and it was very convenient. The closest restaurants are a 15 to 20 minute walk away, the flooding cause several places to be closed down. The one thing to watch out for, on day 1 we found a scorpion in our room. It is a natural area so it’s expected to see different types of bugs and animals. Overall would recommend!

Dejligt beliggende ressort i 2 række til havet. Flotte hytter ved ankomst. Og 2 fine swimmingpools. Sengene er gode, rengøring og personale er meget venlige. Morgenmad er fin. Vores værelse var i stueetagen. De var meget fugtig klamme, der manglede myggenet, så man kunne lufte ud. Bagsiden af værelset var lidt lodseplads agtig. Der manglede ofte varmt vand. Wifi var sløvt i spidsbeladstede tider.

It’s not by the sea but very close. The beach area is very nice and very quiet (not crowded) compared to other hotels along the shore which was very pleasant. The hotel itself was very comfortable and quiet even tho would deserve to be cared for a little more. It shows that the property is a few years old and that things aren’t really kept tight. But overall good experience, clean comfortable room, nice staff. My main issue would be that the hotel seems to be build next to some swamp or humid terrain which at time could smell very bad. They kept poring water into it for some reason. Maybe it’s seasonal, I don’t know but it did bother us. We had a room next to (number 5) it so didn’t help. If your room isn’t close to it probably won’t be a problem. The hotel is around ten minutes walk from the center which is fine especially if you walk by the beach. There are cabs if you don’t wanna walk anyway or bikes you can rent. We had the breakfast included which was nice to have. Pretty classic continental breakfast, not amazing but satisfying. The room were cleaned well even tho for some reason the cleaning staff wouldn’t always leave new clean towels in the room. They were given to us no prob when asked but was weird that they just wouldn’t do it if forget about it. We also had some issue with the hot water in the shower for the last 3 days. The water would just not get hot, just a bit warm. It was a nice place for a first time in Holbox.

Situé assez loin du centre de Holbox, il permet de ne pas être ennuyé par les nuisances sonores des caddy de golf ou de la musique mais il y a quand meme 20 bonnes minutes de marche. Personnel très réactif suite à une demande de changement de chambre. (nous avions beaucoup d'humidité dans la chambre et les draps + nos effets perso étaient humides) Petit dej très bon. L'hotel a un accord avec son homologue en front de mer pour profiter de la plage et de leurs transats. Wifi inexistant sauf à la reception.

Property was beautiful and clean. Cristian front desk staff was sweet but didn’t deliver after offering services such as room service. We asked Cristian to text us the room service menu, she advised she’d send it to us in a few minutes but text it to us hours later. By that time, we had already called a taxi to get dinner elsewhere. When she saw us get into the taxi, she deleted the text with the hotel menu she had sent us. That was odd. In another instance, we requested three sodas to be delivered to our room. We never received them. On another note, the breakfast service was above and beyond wonderful. Please don’t forget to tip the staff of waiters. Lastly, we stayed at the presidential sweet which was beautiful. However, there was no air conditioning unit upstairs and a window had no closure causing the area to be extremely hot. A complete waist of space. Staff had to bring one of the twin beds located upstairs down to the first floor. Overall, it’s a nice property.

Soho, es un hotel muy bonito, tranquilo, en una zona en dónde caminando puedes encontrar algunos lugares para comer, la playa es la mejor, cristalina, espectacular, desayuno rico, personal amable y servicial. Lo que no me gustó: la habitación fue la presidencial, la que tiene tapanco arriba, muy bonita, abajo hay una cama king, una tina y arriba hay 2 camas individuales, el tema es que el aire acondicionado no sube jamás en la parte de arriba, mi bajandole la temperatura, logra refrescar en la zona de arriba, hay mucho calor, no duermes bien, es muy incómodo, lo reporte y pedí que nos bajarán las camas de arriba hacia la zona en dónde si sientes el clima. Accedieron sin problema, toma en cuenta ese tema si reversas esa habitación. La playa está a unos pasos del hotel, puedes hacer uso de los camastros y la pisicina del hotel spirit, ellos son muy amables. Si quieres ir a pasar unos días relajados y de total calma te lo recomiendo.

Very nice stay in the room 17. Very clean, super comfy bed. Maybe a chair and big mirror are missing in the room to make it even nicer. Air-conditioning worked perfectly. Access to the pool of the hotel, as well as to the roof top pool of spirit hotel (same owner): perfect to watch the sunset on lounge music. 2 negative points : insolation is bad, you can easily hear the neighborhood + it is a good 15/20 min walk to reach the city center. It is so hot and bad roads, that it doesn't make the walk that nice. If I would come back I would try to find a hotel in-between.

The room was beautiful. Very nicer decorated and calming. The front desk clerk upon arrival was pleasant. However, there was no information provuded regarding the hotels amenities. If you wanted to check something out, you had to ask about it. Also, very little room for unpacking. Probably because most of the people we met were there for just a couple days. We were there 1 week.

Beautiful but not practical. We rented a room with a second open floor and there was one mini split AC only. My kids slept on the second floor with two fans they had and was super hot. The fans made a lot of noise also. The door to the toilet and shower was glass; looked noice but hello, everyone could see you. We booked a room with breakfast included, which was a tiny fruit bowl, 2 small pieces of bread, a cookie, a tiny cup of granola and a tiny cup of yogurt. We obviously ordered eggs and regular fruit bowls and it was delicious. Lots of mosquitoes, nothing to blame on the locals, just nature.

The room was very clean! Super eco friendly and airy big balcony. The breakfast was ok. I know it’s a beach hotel and many beach hotels I stayed at dont have a lot to offer but this hotel loved to say no instead of a “let me see what I can do” I asked for champagne flutes to celebrate my birthday I had champagne in the room they said no to ask the sister property hotel when they should gone or made a phone call for me. For breakfast I placed my order and wanted bacon on the side they said no. It’s the little things that could be a YES and made my stay just “ok”

Excelente las áreas comunes, las habitaciones limpias, llegamos tarde a la habitación y si nos permitieron estar un ratito en la alberca, la comida a tiempo y rica, nos ofrecieron tener acceso a los otros hoteles, lo que si el Recepcionista no hubiese gustado que sea amable y que conteste los buenos días a todos los huéspedes. Pero fuera de eso todo muy agradable. Regresaremos

My stay at the SoHo Boutique Holbox was lovely. The grounds were nice and clean with a beautiful rooftop pool overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. Transportation to the city center was easy and convenient and took about 15 minutes via taxi. The staff was super friendly and helped with all of our needs and requests. I would book this hotel again due to its easy access to the beach and several other beach day clubs nearby.

La estadía estuvo muy cómoda. El personal siempre estuvo muy atento a nuestras dudas y solicitudes. Cerca hay un local de renta de bicis, por lo que moverse en la isla estuvo muy accesible. El acceso a la playa y el restaurante es a través de otro hotel con el que tienen convenio, pero no es nada complicado llegar. El internet es muy bueno. El cuarto fue muy cómodo. Tuvimos problemas con destapar la tina, pero el personal nos ayudó inmediatamente 🙌 En verdad todo increíble con el hotel.

This properly is comfortable, colorful, and accommodating. The rooms are simple about has character and their service is good. Area felt safe. Note: this place is near the southwest part of the island, convenient to go to Playa Punto Cocos and has beaches just 5 minutes walk. However it’s in the opposite side of the town, the town is about a 25 minute walk. We went during hurricane season, so the roads to get here were flooded. With a taxi (UTV’s) it’s easy to get there but walking with luggage is tough.

Nice boutique hotel, closed to the magnificent beach but a bit far from Holbox town, no shops near by

Amazing place. It is very quiet but walking distance from the city centre and from the luminescence beach. There is a beach two minutes walking away of another hotel of the same owners that guests can use and there is a lovely bar/restaurant. The staff could not have been nicer and if I ever go back this will be my choice. My girlfriend and I had the Maya dinner in the hotel which we highly recommend.

Très belle hôtel dans le style exotique bien intégré dans l environnement Plage magnifique à quelques mètres de l hôtel Un peu loin du centre donc calme mais un seul restaurant disponible à pied (ça tombe bien il est très bon et pas chère)

Ein e tolle Anlage inzweiter Reihe. Allerdings sind der Beachclub Maruva und zum Frühstück am Strand das Hotel Hau nutzbar. Es liegt etwas ausserhalb ,15 Minuten zu Fuss vom Zentrum, dafür am schönen Strand von Holbox. Gute Restaurants (z.B. das Cabana ) sind direkt in der Nähe.

It was a wonderful experience, only bad thing was it smelled a lot like pond water and since everything surrounding was under construction it was very loud and noisy. During one morning they were burning grass in the back and we were being intoxicated with smoke

La propiedad en si es muy bonita pero hay mejores opciones mas cerca del centro ya que las calles son incaminables y el unico medio de transporte es el rizer (muy caro).

It was very nice in general but I will no advertise this hotel as 4 stars, when it doesn't have a restaurant or bar on-site. Also, I let them know that this was our first wedding anniversary and there was not even a congrats at check-in.

La atención muy buena, la limpieza bien y desayuno aún que con pocas opciones estuvo bien, la habitación súper bonita. Lo malo la ubicación y zona de playa lo cierran a las 5pm.

Abbiamo prenotato la suite presidenziale e devo dire che la camera è molto bella, su due piani con una bella vasca a centro stanza. La struttura è molto bella inserita perfettamente nel contesto. Carina la piscina al piano superiore. Unico neo la colazione: personale diverso ogni mattina e tempi estremamente lunghi. Per due mattine non ci hanno portato lo yogurt perchè si erano dimenticati, così come il cambio degli asciugamani in camera che per due volte ci hanno portato via quelli vecchi senza darcene di nuovi. In sintesi bella struttura ma servizi da migliorare notevolmente soprattutto per lo standard di hotel a cui si vuole ambire.
